There is also a selection of Orkney ham and Cheeses to tempt your appetite. Orkneylodge is central for the Ferry going to The South Islands such as Hoy and Flotta. We didn't have a car. There is a good bus service daily going to Kirkwall 5 buses a day and going to Stromness twice a day. There is also a car Ferry called the Hoy Head going to Hoy and Flotta daily. Twice only on a Saturday as we found out. We were a little disappointed. We wanted to stay an extra night and could not as Orkneylodge was fully booked. The Orkneylodge was booked solid for the four nights we were there. We highly recommend Orkneylodge. We advise you to book well in advance if you wish to stay here, or you may be disappointed. In our room we had a little fridge.
