Great, classy atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. Food was superb and generously proportioned. Belhaven Best was, as ever, delicious! Great views over the water and of the bridges. It’s bot cheap — but you get what you pay for.

First class food and lovely Belhaven Best beer. Highly recommended.

Second visit whilst on holiday in the area. Cannot fault the food, service or atmosphere. Excellent menu with varied prices. Good range of drinks both alcoholic & soft.

Poor service from arrival to departure and poor after care service. Over priced rooms with sea views. Rooms look bigger on the web page than in reality. Failed to provide the Wine & Chocolates we had ordered on the web page, despite having an order confirmation. Got the drinks order wrong despite writing it down and then was presented with a broken glass. They then tried to redeem themselves by offering a free meal which might have been okay if it was cooked properly. The steak was so rare it was still moowing, despite asking for it not to be bloody. Saturated everything on the plate, which was just as well as the chips were inedible anyway. Steak was also full of fat & gristle. Poor attempt on after care service by offering to do a better job if we booked again, which was an insult, as it should have been forthcoming to begin with. I have stayed in better establishments and not paid nearly as much as the Orocco offered and received a much better experience. If you want views of the river forth and the forth road bridge, there are plenty of road side spots were you can sea all of the above for free. Will not be staying again, nor would I recommend to anyone I know or work with.

The day was perfect, venue was perfect, food and service was outstanding, the DJ was brilliant and dance floor filled. Everyone had a ball and a fantastic day. We wish we could do it all again. Stayed two nights for a wedding. Fantastic staff throughout and nothing was too much trouble. Best views I’ve ever seen over the Forth and the bridges. We will definitely be back.

Stayed last night on the spring into summer deal, stayed in superior room 2. Had a fantastic stay and it was a great way to spend the day and night after lockdown. Staff were so friendly, food amazing and was great sitting out on the terrace with drinks. Would definitely recommend.

We had our wedding ceremony at Orocco Pier in September and honestly can’t recommend them enough. They were so accommodating and worked with us to make our day so special despite the restrictions. We really appreciate how brilliant the staff were on the day including Kayleigh, Kealan and of course Laura who was absolutely fantastic and all of our guest commented on how well organised and lovely she was. Laura met with us several times before the wedding to make sure we were happy with everything which took away so much stress from our planning as we knew it was in safe hands with her. The venue itself is stunning with the incredible views of the bridges. The hotel rooms were gorgeous and the food was spot on. We were customers before our wedding and will be customers for many years to come! Thank you again Orocco Pier ❤️

Staff were rude and my room at front was noisy with band playing to 1am in the morning then woke up at 6am with delivery shocking breakfast was terrible and could not have a shower cubicle door to small a disgrace as the price I paid for myself and my very upset wife complained and was told if I book again I'll get a deal that's not happening I won't be back and room for a wedding meal upstairs is a joke dont go there ever.

I recommend everything about Orocco Pier … though for the best views go for rooms 4 or 2. Great place, good food, friendly staff.

We've been coming here for 12 years. Its my most favourite place to stay. Whether you get a street view room, you can people watch while having a tipple or a sea view-never tire of daydreaming out to sea! Staff knowledgeable about the food and wines, nothing is too much trouble to make your visit even more enjoyable. Whilst dating, this was the first place we ever stayed the weekend, and I fell in love with it!

Went for a meal for our anniversary and it wasn't good. Bruchetta was almost impossible to cut, didn't get. My order right and pudding was barely edible! Our waiter Ryan on the other hand was amazing!

I just had my small wedding reception at the restaurant. Even though they were really helpful at decorating the tables and the food was good, the rest of the service was poor. During the meal each course took ages to come, people were served at different times. They weren't serving or replacing the wine bottles. Even though there was loads of staff, they weren't around when you needed them.

Wouldn't consider the place for another event.

Outstanding! Visited Antico for a meal and had a fantastic evening. The service was excellent, food was very tasty, clam chowder was amazing, and my compliments to the bar tender who knew exactly what they were doing when it came to mixing a cocktail! Highly recommend. A great view of the rail brigade too.

Went for a meal and stayed over night last night. Food was superb and the staff are first class I must say. They're very attentive and friendly. The room was really nice and had air con which was amazing as it was so humid. Bed was massive and really comfortable and the room was spotless. Bathroom is also brilliant with a good shower and a big bath which is separate. It is pricey but if you want quality then you have to pay for it and that's what this place is. … Definitely recommend it here and will be back again.

Had a lovely lunch here today. Staff were excellent and menu very good. My husband was driving and we do not drink soft drinks so asked for water. I was shocked to get a bottle of Italian water! I didn't say to staff as they were busy and it certainly is not their fault that management buy this. C'mon now, this is Scotland we live! please… if you have to rip us of at £4.90 a bottle make it Scottish water! The 3 stars would have been 5 stars if it were not for this. Shame on you.

Spectacular views of the Forth Rail Bridge from the restaurant. Don't miss the opportunity to look into the bar through the large plate glass window on the street. The opposite side of the bar also has a large window allowing you to look through the bar to see the iconic bridge. Menu choices are good but drinks are pricey.

A locals hotel that was perfect for us tourists! Not disappointed in the stay at all. A wonderful view of the bridges and a nice relaxing day walking around the town! A perfect location. A close ride to the airport. Only disappointment was we had to leave! Staff was wonderful and helped to bring our two suitcases to the room. Do the upgrade for the bridge view — — well worth the price. The cafe's are top notch. Also, local lunch places nearby. My wife and I enjoyed our Scotland wind down prior to heading back to the USA. Highly recommend.

We had the champagne breakfast at the Orocco Pier as part of an online competition they were running. Got to say we were not dissappointed. Met by a smiling waitress who quickly found our details and showed us to our outside seats. We had the Full Scottish breakfast which was fabulous. The service throughout was great and all the staff were very friendly and approachable. Finally and not least there's not many better views to have your breakfast in Scotland. We'll definitely be back thank you very much Orocco Pier.

A beautiful hotel with beautiful views hidden away in a historic part of the city. The staff were very accommodating even when I lost my room key and the food in the adjoining restaurant was fantastic (I personally recommend the risotto). As a business traveller I will definitely staff here again.

Good outside space. Good indoors & staff friendly & helpful. Drinks over priced. Waited 30 mins plus for 4 main courses. Portions small & not hot enough. Great location but the food also has to be great. Don't rely on getting customer's in just because of location.

Love orocco pier, the restaurant. I can't vouch for the hotel, but the restaurant is easily one of my favourites in the Edinburgh region. South Queensferry is a gorgeous location and decor and food of the restaurant simply amazing. The service has never been bad each time I have visited either. Highly rate this place. And my family, friends and girlfriend have all been impressed each visit. You certainly get what you pay for here. And will definitely be back again soon.

Lively bar with a good atmosphere. Lovely view overlooking the Forth river and views of the three bridges. Large outdoor area with plenty of seating. Food looks good although we didn't eat here. Drinks a bit pricy.

Went here for lunch yesterday. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the staff couldn't be anymore helpful. Very warm, friendly and attentive. Great views of the Forth Rail Bridge too whilst lunching. For lunch I had the piri piri chicken wrap with salad and a bowl of chips and my husband had the steak burger. The wrap was okay but to be honest it tasted quite bland and could not taste any flavour unfortunately and my husband's burger was ok too. I had the vanilla and raspberry creme brulee which was yummy and my husband had scones with cream & jam which was lovely too. Will definitely go back and try the dinner menu.

Excellent stay … flawless! Recently stayed here whilst in the area on business and can only say this is an absolute gem of a hotel! Reception staff were polite & helpful on arrival — even taking the time to show me to my room & giving me a run-down on the room, the hotel, the restaurant and the locality. The room itself was modern, well finished & very comfortable — large flat screen TV with DVD player & a free-to-use DVD library at reception. Bathroom was crisp & clean with a large walk-in shower and a nice selection of Molton Brown toiletries that you could actually use & enjoy the scent of — unlike some hotel complimentaries : ( Another reviewer mentioned bed being too short & not clean … well, my experience couldn't have been further from that — I'm 6"1 and had no issues + bed was immaculate with fresh & neatly pressed sheets. I didn't dine in the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant or food but I did have a couple of pints of Peroni sitting on their outside patio watching the sun disappear whilst looking out over the Forth Estuary onto the grand old lady that is the Forth Rail Bridge … simply spectacular! I am in the area approx every 2 months on business and have previously stayed in various other hotels around Queensferry … this one is the best by far — I shall return!

My husband and I arrived for a lovely birthday meal. We were promptly seated and welcomed by all passing members of staff. Our server was extremely friendly and professional. It was a busy night as there was a wedding on but staff were on point. No delays. Meal was absolutely fantastic (both my husband and I had fillet steak) cooked to perfection. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views of the Forth, very picturesque. We attended a small family wedding recently & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were also lovely & very helpful. The only downfall for the hotel is parking which we found impossible and had to park at the local scotmid.

Very popular bar with resturant and accomodation. If you want food at the restaurant make sure you book. Bar food is run of the mill but good selection of drinks and specialist.

As a hotel I would not know, but as a bar and restaurant very well. The food very well taken care of (I recommend the pecking and cocktail), its drinks menu is very good and the attention too. Enjoy as I am!

Literally the best place to get married! Had my wedding here last Saturday, 10th Feb and every member of staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly to us & all our guests.
From the moment we booked we were kept in the loop about everything that was going on. We had meetings to discuss exactly what we wanted. Possibly even too early as I'm an organised person but this wasn't an issue. Every email I sent with any question was answered straight away. Every detail was thought of. The food was fab, the DJ was fab!
We couldn't have picked a better venue. Thanks to everyone who worked hard before our day, helping us too plan it and all who worked on the actual day making it so special for us.

Have visited few times to discuss our upcoming wedding in the orocco pier. Everyone has always been lovely and helpful! The place is beautiful and view is gorgeous. Can't wait to have our day there.

Love this place! Excellent food, atmosphere, decor is very smart and sets the mood with the star like ceiling lights. I want to thank the staff for their service on Saturday. They accommodated for my girlfriends birthday, private booth with the champagne been topped up with a smile each time. The time past very quick. Food was excellent. View not so great. Entertaining guests from US, but booked late, so only guaranteed a partial view of the bridges. Were initially placed against a wall, so no view at all but were moved. Expected a little more effort to be be put in as it was a Monday, view better from the bar area, but this option not offered when booking. Will return, as food very good and service from the waitress was excellent.

Just had our son and daughter-in-laws wedding here, absolutely fantastic. Staff were great, venue was outstanding, overlooking the fourth bridges. For a wedding it is highly recommended, rooms were great to stay in, very spacious and comfortable. Thank you to you all at the Orocco Pier for a fantastic day.

Having visited the bar on several occasions now for food & drinks we have always found the staff welcoming & efficient with a very quick service. A fantastic ambience & amazing views to the bridges. Living in Edinburgh this is a great place to visit with a 15 min train journey. Will definitely be back.

Sunday brunch. Very good service, great venue and really nice views across the forth. I had full scottish breakfast, which was good but the coffee and OJ could be a little better quality. All round great place for a relaxed morning.

I met friends for dinner on a Friday night. We had booked and got a great table with spectacular views over the forth of forth. The food was good generally, lovely baked camembert but the nachos could have had more cheese. Service was good. I would go back.

This place is a regular for me to visit. I even got married here. The views of the forth and the rail bridge are amazing and the staff are very friendly. This place can be busy at peaks times due to it's popularity but the staff can be very helpful and accommodating. The food is very good and they also offer a kids menu with activities and crayons. There is free Wi-Fi available too.

Overall my meal at the restaurant was ok, the portions were fairly small, potatoes were a bit undercooked and steak was just ok. Lovely views, staff were friendly and catered for gluten free.

I have been to Antico Bar more than once in the last year, always to have lunch with friends visiting me from abroad while enjoying the beautiful view of the bridge. Food is ok, price is good, staff is very nice, chatty but not intrusive.

Fantastic every visit. We've been for a handful of meals and events (including random trips) and the quality of service is consistent. Food is delicious and fairly priced, views are fantastic and staff seem to actually enjoy their jobs. Try the sea bass!

Took time to find our room booking, when we got to our room it was just Ok… Party night was very slow to get started. Took 2 hours to get the food out — food incidentally got thumbs down from all of us in our party! Party night mix mediocre… We left to go back to our room at midnight, then got woken up for hours with what sounded like a party going on in the hallway for quite some time. So little sleep… Got up next morning, bending over to put something in the toilet bin I burnt myself on the bathroom radiator — I have notified the hotel since as it got worse throughout the day, but I'm waiting on a response. Breakfast in the morning was like a calamity, 2 people asking us the same questions. Room number, coffee/tea, toast, breakfast. Breakfast came out with bacon missing. Toast, coffee were chased up. Coffee was cold much to quickly asked for a replacement and he tried to top up my cold one. In a nutshell quite a stressful experience. Went back up stairs at 10:55 to find we had all been looked out our rooms (check out 11:00). Had to trek all the way back down to get a new key, run back up, grab our luggage and run a mile with suitcase for a train, because there were no taxis until 13:00! Will I go back for a party night and stay? Seriously doubt it.

Nice respectable bar and restaurant. I'm glad they have an adult only policy. Nothing worse than trying to enjoy a quiet relaxing pint with hyperactive out of control kids running around screaming in your ears. The decor is nice, staff are pleasant and friendly, the views are lovely, the food is good, the selection of drinks is adequate. This is one of the more relaxing pubs in Queensferry and it's definitely worth the visit.

Having had a string of weddings, 3 in the gorgeous location of orocco pier it's become like an old haunt. The views are spectacular — an obvious choice for photos on a summery day or a wintery evening, the bridge comes alive and provides an excellent backdrop for any bride. The food is also really good (sit down meals or buffets) and the staff are helpful and attentive. The drinks however, are ridiculously priced! obviously with no option once you get there, there's an element of charge what you like, which is never helpful when you're going once a week. South queensferry is stunning and easily accessible from edinburgh — go there! — for fish and chips by the water, but don't rock up to orocco if you're just looking for a pint and some scran.

Had our wedding here on 29th August and everything was superb. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we had some fussy eaters! The restaurant staff were excellent and served 40 guests in an efficient and timely manner. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. The Manager and Events staff made us feel so welcome and treated us as if we were royalty during the event and the next morning after our overnight stay. Our champagne breakfast was lovely with amazing views across the Forth and the Bridges. Our room was immaculate. Can't praise the Orocco Pier highly enough for making our wedding so special — we will always remember it and how smoothly everythign went. Would highly recommend for such an event.

Stylish boutique hotel with bar and resturant located in the picturesque seaside town of south queensferry. The bar has floor to ceiling windows which allows for great views of the forth bridge (especially at night). Orocco pier also a popular venue for weddings.

Hmmmm. So I can't comment on the food or accommodation, so take that for what you will. I can comment on the bar, service, location and decor though. First of all, the location. Wow. You have stunning views out onto the Firth of Forth and the Forth Rail Bridge through the large glass windows on the North facing side of the bar. I visited while the sun set on a spring evening and it was spectacular. This alone makes it a place with visiting if you fancy taking in the view in the warmth with a glass of 'something' in your hands. The decor inside is very modern and upmarket, so it definitely feels more like a bar in Edinburgh's expensive George Street rather than South Queensferry and the staff seemed friendly and attentive. Orocco Pier is also a popular wedding venue due to the views and location which tells you a lot about how impressive it is. If you fancy a tipple with the most impressive views of the Forth from any bar in the Lothian's or Fife this is your place.
