Fire alarm went off 12.30am evacuated out to the car park by inexperienced staff who just shouted out a number (not knowing how many people were in each room) Left elderly people to stand with nothing on there feet standing in there nightwear, not even asked how they were or interested in anyone’s well being. We put them in our car to keep warm finding out one of the elderly gentlemen (who was very grateful for our help) had dementia and him and his poor wife were freezing cold not knowing what was going on After 45 minutes people started walking back on NO EXPLANATION TO US what happened or more importantly staff DIDNT HELP THESE POOR ELDERLY PEOPLE, one staff member walked straight past them for in his car and drove off What a joke this hotel is — Transpires some idiot wanted to vape in there room which set off the alarms but I notley found this out by a colleague the next morning, the staff behind the reception did not acknowledge anyone in the morning and was very sheepish! God forbid an actual fire breaks out and god forbid they actually want to help the vulnerable, elderly or disabled guests! Disgusting!

Pretty good as usual but the room was really cold on our arrival 10°!

After a 3 night stay my son didn't want to come home, as he said he would miss the ladies on reception! A fabulous and friendly team of ladies, who helped make our mini break more fun :)

Very clean, comfortable and great staff in the hotel and the pub next door, petrol station and local shop nearby, the perfect place for an overnight stop.

Really nice place, clean and quiet. 10 mins from Drayton Manor Theme Park.

What a lovely clean hotel service was really good the meal was well worth it. We will definitely go back.

Very dated and our floorboards creaked, noisy from people walking in other rooms, useless for park runners or late risers as breakfast is only served until 10. But a budget hotel. Id prefer to stay at Redditch if wanting to be in the Birmingham area.

Nice modern clean hotel. Decent sized room. Great rooms have power points near the bed not all premier inns have this.

Quiet rooms despite being next to a pub, and decent location. Had no problems staying here and definitely would again.

Hotel is ok not the cleanest but adequit restaurant is grimy and food not great also they don't tell you that if you don't book breakfast they won't serve you in the morning. Terrible breakfast too. Restaurant is a huge let down.

Whilst on a busy road, the rooms are quiet, the bar is friendly, and the food good and reasonably priced. Rooms are good price too, clean and tidy. All in all great place to stay.

Nice clean room, helpful staff and a decent pub attached for food and drinks. Pub has a play park for the kids. Only draw back no lifts only stairs.

Had a nights stay here and. Having visited numerous premier inns over the years I must say I found this particular one to have the most friendliest and helpful staff so far. As always a nice comfy bed, the hotel was fairly quiet apart from the fire alarms going off at 7.30pm due to a dodgy toaster in the Resturaunt. Breakfast was ok but I found the toaster a pain in the a* to negotiate as it couldn't be turned up much due to the risk of setting the fire alarms off, thus a piece of bread had to be passed through the infernal machine at least 4 times at tortoise speed before you could get it remotely brown. We had a couple of drinks in the adjoining pub (The Whitehouse) they had a good selection of craft beers & Gin (wifey had a Whitley Neil Rhubarb) and although the pub was a quite sport orientated with footie on the TV which is not usually my bag tbh, I found it quite a warm and friendly place. We didn't eat in as we had dined elsewhere that evening but the food smelled quite appetizing. The pub staff were also freindly and courteous and we noticed that dogs were allowed in which as a dig owner we always appreciate 5 stars all round methinks.

A tad pricey (especially for a Premier Inn) but otherwise a very pleasant place with everything available at your fingertips.

Rooms up to normal standard and staff at reception extremely polite and helpful. This review is more about the overall B&B experience. The breakfast was atrocious, basil faulty would have been embarrassed. The food was cold apart from the one thing we asked to be cold which was hot; how hard is it NOT to grill a tomato — my daughter just wanted one sliced in half and not grilled, it came out grilled. My wife's poached egg was the size of a spoon, there was a teaspoon sized portion of bubble and squeak each. The gluten free option consisted of baked beans and eggs, fortunately they also had two slices of gluten free bread. The service was atrocious, over 40 minutes before they took the breakfast order and when we complained about the food the waitress became borderline rude.

Great little Premier Inn in a great location. Drayton Manor is 15 mins away by car and Sutton Park and the Belfry golf course are 5 mins away. 1 mile from the train station and buses run every 15 mins 100 yards away straight into Birmingham City Centre. Parking is free and there are plenty of spaces and can accommodate long wheel base vehicals. New style rooms which means they have the big Tv's. The Pub next door where breakfast is served has new management and has just been refurbished and looks really modern. Ideal place for families and couples.

As always with Premier Inn, room was fine, staff were friendly, location was good…

Very friendly gentlemen on reception, the hotel was clean and today. Room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. The only issue we had was at 12:30am we all woke up far too hot and our throats very dry which was quite uncomfortable. We would stay here again in the future.
Nothing to do with Premier inn but the food in the restaurant next door was quite poor.

Overall a pleasent stay. Room was comfy and clean, staff were friendly and attentive. Bathroom was a bit small but so what. I didn't have dinner here as there's a great chip shop close by but I did have the breakfast which I cannot recommend. Choice at the continental buffet was good e. G. Cereals, yoghurts, fruit etc. But the cooked breakfast was of awful quality.

Really cosy hotel, rooms are nice and tidy and the pub has good food and drinks available.

Room was lovely and clean as you would expect from a premier inn! Price was good but I get discount through Whitbread. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Well, the rooms are pretty standard though the bathroom I'm mine was the smallest of any Premier Inn I've been to. What really let this hotel down was the poor condition of and quality of breakfast in the pub restaurant next door. Staff were lovely and helpful, although one member did use my breakfast table to stack used plates and cutlery on from another table while I was up grabbing a coffee, which I felt was a bit rude.

Very clean and tidy with good staff, comfortable rooms and everything that could be needed.

It's a premier Inn so if you've been to one before then you'll know that the rooms are midway between luxury and budget, this particular one is within a beautiful building, busy main road during the day, but peaceful at night, the food is superb, the atmosphere welcoming and the staff friendly. Nice place to stay.

Room to warm had to have 2 fans in room. Pub attached next door staff not very welcoming. No lift for elderly. Elderly couple with us left to carry luggage up to second floor no offer of help from staff.

Second stay here whilst visiting family and Drayton Manor. Excellent room with comfy beds. Great little pub attached with playarea for kids with reasonably priced meals. Fab breaky to set you up for the day. Would defo stay here again.

Stayed here for the first time, have always used Travelodge until last night. I will certainly be going back, superb clean room on arrival, very helpful friendly staff.

Sleepless night in room 203. Copious amounts of road and pub noise. Room too hot with window shut, so needed it open. No air conditioning and one ineffectual electric fan for the room which blows around warm air. Not great after a long road trip to Sutton Coldfield for a wedding. 'Good nights sleep guaranteed' — broken! Manageress was useless when complaint lodged. I will be taking this up with the senior management…

Good hotel brilliant service was depressed found out there was no lounge.

A bit expensive for what was essentially a dressed up Inn. The rooms were nice as is usual with a Premier Inn but the pub/hotel restaurant next door didn't live up to the price tag you'd imagine. Nothing overly wrong with it, just not as nicely presented as other Premier Inns I've stayed in for the same price.

Stay was nice, bed was awesome. Could have done with another towel and bathroom lights kept flickering. Also only one socket by the bed and no extension lead or splitter at reception (we need two plugs for health condition related equipment)

Clean and smart room with helpful staff. Had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the help in ordering a taxi very promptly.

As expected from premier inn basic but functional, had a pleasant stay. Only thing I didn't like was the temperature controller which seems to reset itself every couple of hour. While the rooms temperature always remained acceptable it would have been nice to know it would have stayed that way without having to think about it. We had a three month old staying and therefore temperature was important.

Great hotel very helpful but flaming grill could do with a lot of work the staff are very good and they have a good selection of ale on tap but the place very run down.

Despite Sutton Coldfield not exactly being the high point of my travels… the staff were really helpful. Even as I came tumbling in they opened the door for me!

Looking a bit worn in the rooms, generally very clean. I found lots of hair in the sink plughole which is a schoolgirl error in terms of cleaning. Breakfast good value if you have kids (they eat free). Does what it says on the tin. Good nights sleep.
