A beautiful moated Elizabethan Manor House hotel set in beautiful grounds. I would thoroughly recommend it. The staff are friendly and efficient and willing to go that extra mile.

Had such a beautiful afternoon tea with my daughter All the staff was so accommodating very happy and extremely cheerful which added to the experience Definitely would return Thank you for a great afternoon.

The staff are very attentive and friendly with it. oh! and the food is superb.

Our visit to the Hotel was for a family wedding. We stayed for 2 nights, our room was very comfortable. The staff in all departments are so friendly, nothing is too much bother for them. Lovely venue for a Wedding.

Me and my daughter came for a spa day with afternoon tea and treatments too, wow what a beautiful day we had, staff were lovely and we will be back soon.

Just back from a romantic weekend for my birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary 🎉 we had an amazing experience. All of the staff are so pleasant and polite and cannot do enough for you. Sandra our waitress was superb and we enjoyed her company and attention to detail. The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning and I loved reading about the history of the hotel. Thank you.

Outstanding hotel! I’ve recently stayed with my 13 year old Labrador, nothing was too much trouble with a really friendly team of people. Beautifully appointed executive room overlooking looking the hotel gardens, plenty of space for human and Labrador, along with a lovely Joules dog bed and feeding station. This is really a top notch hotel that treats your canine companion just like they do any human guest. Super good menu with plenty of choice both in the bar & restaurant my Labrador was welcome in the bar and lounge, but not the restaurant which I completely agree with not every guest will appreciate a dog at their feet! The grounds are a dogs paradise so many places to go sniffing and exploring, lots of walks and wherever you walk back into the hotel a smiling team members greets you, in particular Lewis on reception who always held the door open when we approached reception and was genuinely interested in understanding what we had been out and done that day. So I hope people can guess we loved our time at New Hall and don’t hesitate to recommend it to all travellers who like great service, great food, great rooms and most importantly dog friendly.

We recently had our wedding there, the staff was brilliant made the day very easy, the venue it's self just kept on giving, we also would like to say a special thanks to Olivia jack's for all the work she did to make our wedding day perfect most definitely a 11/10 rating for anybody looking to book there wedding there.

Celebrated mr and mrs Churchills wedding this weekend, the room we stayed in was lovely, we brought our dog honey and she was left a lovely note and treats, lovely walks and the dog was made really welcomed, and breakfast was amazing to, massive thanks to all the staff.

Wonderful afternoon spent in the grounds. We pre-ordered an afternoon tea, which was a wonderful spread and enjoyed it in the sun trap of a walled garden. Lovely stroll around the very beautiful grounds. Excellent service and wonderful 'prepared by the chef, cook at home' 3 course anniversary dinner brought home.

A Spa day well spent, good and clean spa conditions, friendly staff and accommodating. The fact that the spa is not too busy, makes you enjoy it and feels more private. Could have slightly better conditions for pedicure, but overall it’s a good place to enjoy good food, cocktails, a massage and anything you could think of in a spa. Would probably be back to enjoy the hotel as well.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely clean room and comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and the shower was a dream. Great water flow and temperature. The welcome at check in was good and Ethan who escorted us to our room was a font of knowledge on the history of the hall. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The staff were all friendly. Would certainly return if in the area.

A fabulous place to stay. The rooms are lovely, comfortable beds. Food is excellent and the staff can't do enough to please you. Can't wait to come back.

We had really good weather so after a swim we lounged outside catching the sun. Then in our dressing gowns we walked across the grounds into the main building for our champagne tea for two. This was all handmade cakes and staff were very attentive. Our full body massage was the best. Really enjoyed the day. Would recomend the spa day.

This Hotel is outstanding. I visited with two friends. We wanted a relaxing day and evening away. we had booked Dinner, Bed & Breakfast along with afternoon tea. We all stay in hotels on a regular basis with work but all agreed this was the best experience we have had at a hotel for a long time. From the minute we arrived the staff were outstanding, from the porter to reception to the bar staff and waiters, they couldn't do enough for you. The food during the whole stay was fantastic. We had adjoining rooms and they were lovely, clean and fresh. We will definitely be returning.

Really nice hotel Staff are very nice and room very comfortable. Food also to a very good standard. Lovely surroundings and well worth a visit. The only minor criticism is that in some places the decor could do with refreshing.

Beautiful rooms and reception staff very kind. Restaurant manager looked busy for checks only. I went for Valentine's day he was chewing gum, lack of professionalism.

Had a really lovely afternoon, really beautiful place. Lovely sandwiches and cakes, mostly friendly staff, we waited a little while before anyone took our tea order, and could have done with more tea, it was bottom-less, but after one cup each between three we sat for quite a while before we could catch someone to bring more, the lady looked quite shocked to be asked for more tea, but all other staff were lovely and friendly and polite. Would probably return in future, but would order double the amount of tea to start with to save the wait :-) Thanks to all x.

We arrived at the spa hotel on Thursday and was warmly greeted by the receptionist. Rafael was exceptionally welcoming and provided us with anything we needed, even received extras for our room. The hotel staff in general were pretty fabulous and catered to our needs (bringing us extra duvets without hassle). Having booked the hotel for a spa break I have to say the full body massage was amazing, I can't remember the name of the therapist but I have to say magic fingers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway with lovely views and great paths for taking a morning stroll.

It's a grand place to stay, but quite dated. But the rooms are very good, staff very helpful and the food is really good. The gym and spa is also very high quality for a hotel.

We live locally but had never been. Went for a walk round the grounds, which were delightful and very scenic. Finished with a coffee in the 800 year hotel, staff were polite and professional. Beautiful old building, full of history.

Great spa, lovely building and surroundings very peaceful. Spa and pool were quiet during the weekdays so was able to use all facilities with ease. Treatments were great just a bit rushed towards the end.

Absolutely appalling meal last night. 8 of us on a table and not one of us had anything positive to say about the food. Starter of smoked salmon was a tube about about 2" long of something indescribable wrapped in 'smoked salmon' which was tasteless. My main of lasagna was a triangle shaped wedge with a few green leaves and a side of some tired looking beans and broccoli. Most of the party had turkey which apparently looked and tasted like it had been processed. A bottle of wine was offered as compensation (what a joke). At £45 per head it was a very expensive waste of time. Every year we go to Moxhull Hall where the food is wonderful, we thought we would have a change this year BIG MISTAKE. To even give 1 star is generous. This is the first review I have ever made, but we were all so incensed at the dreadful quality. Never again! Paul Grigg Birmingham.

Location is beautiful, and the spa facilities were good. It was quite quiet when we were here, which was nice. The room was nice and clean, if a little dim. Very charming hotel!

Took my mum here for her 70th birthday gathering and we were all overwhelmed by the beauty building and the warm and friendly staff. What a stunning place. The hotel rooms were beautiful and clean. Bar service good be improved but they did admit that it was the busiest afternoon they ever had and were very apologetic for the wait. Food was delicious, particularly the sponge cake they arrange for my mum and she also had a small box of chocolates in her room when she arrived. My mum also enjoyed her first back, neck and shoulder massage at the spa and was left wondering what took her so long to go for one. My daughters had lots of fun exploring the gardens and pond at on the grounds — very family friendly. 4 stars as I think the bar and food could have been a little better but overall it was a delightful experience. Call it a 4.8

For dinner I had Scallops to start and the lamb pie as a main delicious didn't have room for dessert. The service was wonderful have to mention Bogdan, Rodi, Beth and Sian.

Beautiful hotel property situated close to Sutton Coldfield. Friendly and helpful staff were in reception to greet us and assist in pointing out the separate facility for the event we attended. The grounds are well kept and was thoroughly enjoyed by young and old. Great service with a selection of food and drinks. Would highly recommend for a getaway for a weekend or as a stopover for a journey.

Great hotel very quaint n historic looks beautiful in its lovely surroundings. My husband surprised me to our overnight stay for our anniversary. The staff were fantastic they were very friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous. Our room the Dawn in the old original part of the hotel was beautiful n very cosy we didnt want to check out. We also used the lesuire facilities very relaxing. Cant wait to return one day. I would definitly recommend this hotel to my family and friends they loved sharing our photos of our memorable stay.

Attended the wedding fayre at the weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful, and had put on a good show. The grounds were stunning including the moat around the house and was nicely decorated. A bit on the pricey side.

Visited on a Sunday evening for dinner. Food was good, but service was poor and drinks at the bar were priced higher than on the printed list. We were refunded the difference. We were also not charged for dessert because of the poor service. Previous visits had been much better, so I worry that standards may be declining.

A really interesting building in attractive grounds. There is 9 hole pitch and putt course which unhappily I was unaware of before arrival. Room was well fitted and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Food perfectly good but unremarkable. Would recommend to friends and stay again.

It is really nice and serves good food. The area is beautiful and has a nice most around it. Oldest moated house in the UK that had people living/working in it.

If you are Vegan come here for afternoon tea! I want to thank the team at New Hall for a fabulous afternoon tea, for myself and two friends, arranged as a birthday gift last Friday 28th July. I am Vegan and was so impressed with the fabulous warm scones, cakes and dessert that was so beautifully presented and tasted divine! the manager and waitresses were also so attentive and helpful and the chef made some fabulous creations for me. I did give advance notice of my dietary requirements on booking but told it was no trouble to them at all.

Great gardens, excellent breakfast and amazing afternoon tea. The room is very good and the bathroom has been recently reformed. Staff is very attentive and always with a smile. We have enjoyed our stay and we will come back.

Attended a family get together in the Garden Pavilion recently, and was thoroughly impressed. The buildings are stunning, and the grounds are beautiful. On top of this, the food was superb. Fantastic.

Lovely grounds and courteous staff. Spa treatments were relaxing and the spa facilities were great. The room was clean and comfortable. Ordered room service which was nice, steak was overcooked but they replaced it and didn't charge. Breakfast was good though toast was a bit cold (it was very busy though) and we got fresh toast.

I hate to have any complaints about this place because it was such an incredible place to stay. Location was lovely, the grounds were absolutely stunning, the service was perfect and the rooms were very clean. I do, however, have two complaints. The toilets are in such a way that it mostly just tears up the toilet paper when you flush. If you have to do anything more than something… Liquid, good luck getting it to go down at all. We changed rooms because of this, but it's really a building-wide problem. Second complaint, the dine-in menu is extremely expensive, and not worth what you pay, in my opinion. The food was simply… Average. And the prices were not. Otherwise, I would say the place is pretty much perfect. Would certainly stay again.

Awesome location, restaurant is fantastic, and as a bonus is taste card compatible. Staff are full of smiles and always ready to help. Period features are beautiful, try to stay in the old house if you can. If not, go for an explore anyway!

A photographers dream — such a majestic building and beautiful grounds. Magnificent furnishings and wonderful food. We enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The room was luxurious and the coffee was not just instant. I had taken my iPod but although there were sockets, couldn't get it to link up to the system, but we were only there for one night. The staff were both welcoming and friendly and you got the impression they really cared about your stay being a pleasant one. Certainly a place to stop if you are celebrating something — because it stands out from the rest of the hotels.

I'm a gym member and use their gym on a regular basis and the facilities are outstanding staff are very friendly and helpful and professional.

I went here last night for the works Christmas party food was good but the servings we got wasn't big thay was like childrens portions so its not very good value for money in that respect a lovely place to go through ad a great time.

I went to new Hall for a wedding. The staff were amazing g and the grounds were beautiful. Our room was spotless and the beds. Were very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was great too but didn't like thw sausages.

My son's wedding was a absolutely beautiful day can not complain until we went to Newhall. When getting to hotel no one in sight to meet and greet. No one new where to go. 2 on bar to serve 150 people. forgot drinks when we arrived. room not ready. Cold venue would not put heating on when requested. Food was poor. 2 people serving 150 people staff not a smile between them no coordinate in sight. We still enjoyed our day because we are a good family who made it fun. Would never recommend this place.

Food let it down. I expected more from a hotel of this price and setting.

We have just had our wedding on this fantastic venue! We feel so lucky that we found this stunning place! The historical building made our wedding day special. More importantly, the toastmaster and the running team was being very helpful with us all the time. They offered us patience and hospitable service.

Stayed over for a wedding we attended and room very nice but was not impressed with breakfast arrangements and we had no where to sit.

We absolutely loved the layout at New Hall Hotel and Spa. Partypicz photo booth hire provided the disco and photo booth hire for a wedding there recently, and all the staff were absolutely fantastic. The venue is stunning and a hidden treasure.

We stayed at the hotel on a Sunday night deal which included cream tea, dinner B&B. Surroundings are lovely however little things particularly the food let them down. It was average and below on certain points incinerated prawns are not haute cuisine. Items missing from description on menu. We've had much better meals at local bistros at far more reasonable prices. The drinks are outrageously priced. The rooms are nice and comfortable although nothing to give you the real wow factor. Staff helpful and made an effort to put missing things right. But all in all it is average and expensive apart from the history and surroundings.

Having called to arrange a booking for afternoon tea, I was sorely disappointed that the receptionist told me that she 'had people at her desk that had been waiting a long time" that part I could appreciate, the tone in which it was said was that she didn't have time, or the inclination to sort out a booking for me. Not impressed at the customer service at all. Afternoon tea else where I think.

DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE! I chose this venue after a year of searching. Worst decision. They made such a mess of my wedding that it upsets me just thinking about it. From not booking in our guests in (despite some phoning up and confirming), to having no one available to act as a co-ordinator, to the disgusting attitude of the manager afterwards who was unapologetic and thought we were just after the compensation — he showed no remorse whatsoever for having ruined our day and on the basis of being paid an insulting compensation amount by hand picked hotels we were asked not to make reviews.

Stayed at this hotel over a fairly long period. The building and grounds are lovely and romantic but the food is very average (at best) and massively overpriced. The staff on reception are great but the restaurant staff and chef leave alot to be desired. Its such a shame because with a quality chef and faster service this could easily add a star and be a destination hotel. I suspect they are capitalising on a paucity of competition in the area.

Love this place, got married their and stayed over night in the princess Elizabeth suite. Went back a few years later as a treat, food and surroundings fantastic. This place is a gem.
