We stayed for one night before flying to Turkey. It’s a lovely hotel, the rooms are a great size and the shower room is amazing. Lovely finishing touches, toiletries, bottles of water and a cookie each. The breakfast was great value for money and lots of choice to suit everyone. The staff are also friendly and helpful. We would definitely use again The downside was no window in the room (219) and only 4 little milk pots, we could have got more from reception but forgot.

Attended a wedding reception — the staff, especially the supervisor were actually quite rude. The bar was vastly underprepared — ran out of mixers but happy to charge extra for bottled drinks even though the drinks are already vastly overpriced because it would “mess up their stock levels” — the decent thing to do would be to offer replacements at the price they should have been had they not ran out. The colleagues were actually embarrassed to tell us how expensive doubles were — literally double the price of singles that were already almost £6. Pints £5+. Ran out of prosecco, having to serve pints in two half glasses, wrong drinks served all night. The function room was great, however, not enough staff and they need better training. The supervisor also needs to learn to keep her personal opinions to herself on matters that don’t concern her — I picked up a card that had been left for the bride, my sister, and she commented “it was bad craic reading the cards”! We had a good night but it could have been great if the staff had training and the drinks were more fairly priced.

Not a bad experience. Most of staff friendly polite, just a few issues, room wasn't very clean. The bathroom, and toilet area could do with a good clean. Found hairs in the bath tub. However I would still recommend this place for a family stay. Despite a few imperfections.

Dated. Service from reception isn't great. Wi-Fi connection is very patchy and Wi-Fi should now be considered essential service particularly for business travellers. Premier Inn next door might be a better option and better pricing.

So handy for the airport but food was more expensive than the room. Had to send ours back as they mixed up the steaks. Lovely big room. Quiet and comfortable.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are modern and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is friendly and attentive. If your in the area to visit Sage Software, they even offer a free shuttle, which makes it quite convenient even though there is a closer hotel. In all, I will be sure to stay here every time I am in the area.

The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely. The conference room was spacious but could do with an upgrade… A large wall mounted TV word make it perfect.

I always use this hotel when flying from NCL. Unfortunately my last visit led to us being refused from the Italian restaurant. It stops serving at 21:45 apparently! Website says different. The pizza oven had been turned off at 21:47. Poor restaurant management.

Very convenient for the business traveller flying in late… just a 2 minute walk from airport to hotel reception… rooms a very nice and only a hint of aircraft noise… will stay again.

Stayed here for work. This is the airport branch but didn't hear any plane sounds. Rather to far out if you are planning to party but the cabs were always available. Clean quiet and a good breakfast. Even had gluten free bread. They will even chase you with take away coffee when you over sleep and get all stressed. Lol. Dinner was pretty uninspired but overall would stay there again.

Room are a good size, very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The complimentary cookie is a nice touch. Very clean and good decor and within a 1min walk of the airport. Couldn't fault very much about my stay.

Awkward hotel, very old fashioned with crazy ee. Co, bathrooms are so small you can barely move. The restaurant is award winning for the oily greasiest pizzas in the UK. Not great.

Good Hotel, well insulated from the outside noise (it's stuck to the airport). It Has people too young at the front desk, and that is noted: it is somewhat insecure and should be kinder. The bar is not always too clean, although the friendliness is great.

The hotel is modem and seasonable price. The breakfast was quite good that they even have gluten free bread in the buffet. The room was good size and the bed is also good size. However, we could still hear airplanes taking off every so often. The bathroom has no bath. The interior was not done in good quality. The luggage storage service was a bit randon and not secure. We ended paying money to have luggage stored at the airport.

Spacious rooms with a sophisticated decor in good condition. 2 dining options, including a bar and more formal Italian restaurant. Pleasant staff, and a warm cookie provided at Check-In!

The staff and facilities are brilliant, food is first class, and being so close to an airport no noise came in.

Hotel is fabulous as long as you don't order food. The last 3 visits we have been to the restaurant twice and ate in the bar and waited nearly 2 hours for food on all occassions you think they would have realised they need additional staff on a weekend. The excuse we are really busy has worn to thin.

Nice hotel. Feels dated with patterned carpets and the older style sinks. Ideal for an overnight stay for an early flight or a late arrival to the city. Easy to catch the metro from the airport to the city centre too. Would stay again.

I have stayed here a few times before flying out somewhere. Always clean, tidy and comfortable, plus pleasant staff. Good bar meals, and excellent breakfast. You can now unlock your door with a digital key on your phone, but you still need the traditional plastic key card to turn the lights on, so not too sure what the advantage the digital phone phone lock gives me. I'm awaiting a customer feedback reply. However I will always stay here when I have an early flight.

My husband and I stayed in Hilton Newcastle last night. Had a very good welcome. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Food was also very satisfying… location was perfect for the airport we only stayed one night but could have stayed longer. The train station waz a 2min walk and so convenient to town center which waz only 25 mins. We loved everything about our stay it waz hassle free and will definitely return… next time with our kids.

Stayed here for 2 nights with family. Was greeted by friendly staffs and given cookies when checking in. Room was modern and clean. Really impressed.

Always enjoy the hilton before I go on holiday or if I have a late return flight. Rooms spotless, bar staff and reception staff always welcoming and kind. Bar staff are very social and chatty. Breakfast I love. Good value for money particularly if you can get a deal.

I used to stay here regular as a Gold Member of Hilton but moved on after being downgraded to silver status, due to only 5 night stays up to April this year, in spite of having 10 nights booked the following week (which I immediately cancelled upon arriving in America). Nb you are expected to stay 40+nights a year to retain Gold status & that would have been achieved this year after my next trip. As a result of having to pay £10 for a breakfast this Hotel has lost 12 nights so far & bookings on other trips to Hilton Hotels (my last & next). Pro's-Many-location is on door step of the airport (NCL) & breakfast (paid for or free) is excellent with a welcoming front desk with good rooms (though some showing signs of wear). Cons — Air Conditioning noise is notable as regards sleep quality, rooms no better on Hilton Hon Floor (3rd) than others, in fact there are better on 1st 2 floors offering baths instead of showers plus parking is £6 per night. The Bar is over priced and bar food is expensive& below average with hardly any other choice of restaurants other than the hotel behind. I've moved on & removed the 5* reviews I gave on Tripadvisor and now enjoy a similar status with another Hotel chain & saving money into the bargain!. Tip — they give away free breakfast vouchers if there is a hold up when checking in if you complain (source Tripadvisor)

Modern Hotel just beside the terminal and Metro station, but quite and comfortable. However service is restaurant/bar poor, my meal was delivered to someone else, and a promised complementary beer was then not provided. Very poor customer service. Also perhaps the slowest Wi-Fi I have experienced in a hotel, much faster to use a 3g connection.

A brilliant service from excellent staff helping with any needs we had like an umbrella for my wife so her wedding dress didn't get wet.

Superb. Stayed here on several occasions now over the last 6 months. On each occasion the service has been outstanding. I have ordered room service on a number of occasions and there hasn't been any problems. The staff are very accommodating, very polite and very helpful. The food is excellent I would recommend this venue to others.

Smart modern building, within sight, and short walk of the airport check-in desks. The check in staff where quick and polite. The Large room we had ordered; was of a high standard and well fitted out. The modern spotless bathroom, had a small bath tub?. But the large rain shower made up for this. I would recomend the food at the italian resturant, the food was of a high standard and the staff made my wife and I feel like old friends. We where attending a wedding near by, travel by local taxi was cheap, and the Tyneside metro station (Airport) was with in sight of the main door. We will use this hotel again.

Given the profession of a pilot, I've traveled a lot and been to many international airports. This is one of my favorite, because of the Doubletree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport. It's a comfortable place to stay in after a long and tiring flight. They always welcome you with fresh cookies. I'd recommend Fratello's Italian Restaurant, for the wonderful pasta and the incredible wine. There is a nice gym, where can load the body and give a rest to the mind.

Stayed one night as we were attending a wedding reception at the hotel, and chose to stay over. A couple of minor irritations, one quite petty in that the lifts have a large board telling you which floor various facilities are on, but the actual buttons do not match. I. E. The board says G — reception, but there is no "G" button. Minor I know. Second minor irritation is potentially more dangerous. The underground car park has vertical steel girders supporting the levels above. These are painted exactly the same colour as the walls behind them, and are therefore very difficult to spot in your mirrors if you try to reverse into a parking spot. The main issue though is that despite booking a "Special Offer" online saying bed and breakfast, they insisted on charging us an additional £30 for breakfast. Not at all impressed. On the plus side the bar staff were excellent, and managed to do a great job of making our favoutire cocktail, even though they had never heard of it before.
