Good food and service at a reasonable price.

We went for Mother's Day meal yesterday and was fantastic! It was so nice to be back after COVID. From start to finish all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was very well decorated and lovely touches — my little one loved seeing what was on the table and getting her photo taken with the props! We all agreed that the food was very good and we can't wait to come again! Well Done to everyone for making our Mother's Day a 5* one!

Good price Ideal for a early morning Flight Clean and warm with restaurant and bar.

Very basic rooms however we only are using it for a early flight at the airport & car parking. Very reasonable in price. Hotel bar great plus bonus been happy hour 👍 Bar food nice & very reasonable.

Great staff and very reasonably priced beer especially between 4 and 7 on happy hour, gud selection of food in either the bar or restaurant next door.

Lovely place, amazing value for money 6 minutes from the airport at a leisurely pace can’t fault the place.

My daughter and I stayed here on Sunday night, although it's true the hotel is very worn and in need of an update, it was clean and the food was lovely. And I have to say how fantastic the staff were, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The girls on reception Sunday and Monday were so helpful and friendly and the man serving the food in the evening went out of his way to get us fresh meals and made sure our table of 5 was happy. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Basic but clean and great staff.

Desperately needs refurbished. Though think under these hard times they are doing as good as possiable. Staff are excellent & food lovely fresh cooked veg etc.

This was Awesome Linedancers, Dave and Pauline Baycroft’s first trial event at the hotel and the hotel did us proud. The hotel and its staff have always been amazing. In these difficult times they still went above and beyond for us dancers and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. This hotel just gets it right. Massive shout out to all the staff. Superb service yesterday, :)

We had my 70 Birthday buffet in the Wansbeck Room. The buffet was excellent and the Assistant manager Eddie and barman Liam could not have done more for us. Natalie who organised it was excellent also. I can thoroughly recommend the Britannia for any function you would have there.

Excellent nights sleep. Minutes from terminal. Extremely comfy bed.

Had a fantastic experience from check in to departure. Very professional at the front desk and Lisa behind the bar was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was immaculate, definitely recommend upgrading to the suite if it's available.

Absolutely brilliant the manger couldn’t do enough to help staff were excellent couldn’t find anything to complain about a lot better on than any others would definitely go back.

Lovely food but lack of staff throughout. Had to wait about 10 mins after lifting phone to call reception. This was Noticeable during my stay bu other guests too. Other than that nice clean throughout. Rooms excellent.

Terrible place. Rooms are so dated. Furniture grim. Beds uncomfortable. Pillows rock hard. Never again.

We had our wedding here on the 13/09/2019. Fantastic day was had by all the staff we’re absolutely amazing, the food was out of this world and the venue itself is beautiful. We would recommend everyone to visit this fantastic venue. Thank you to all the staff, especially Dean, Natalie and Lesley they made the day perfect.

Easy access to airport. Excellent if you have a early morning flight. And you can park your car there.

Fantastic chilled out experience driving up in easy traffic. To get an early flight out from Newcastle airport. Really easy to get to. Staff really there to help especially Rebecca who went above and beyond. Grub and beers reasonably priced. Even the young bar staff in cocktail bar where very helpful. Many thanks folks a good chilled friendly place. See you again soon!

I come every year for Easter wouldn't go anywhere great value for money great entertainment and I like the bar area too we sat outside for a bit aswell was beautiful ♥

Just been to the Easter lunch, such good value. Food lovely, staff are lovely, the kids had a fab time, the entertainment for the kids was great. The Easter bunny danced his socks off. Will definitely be back. Well done.

Really nice place to stay the dining staff are worth their gold in weight very polite and was attentive to our needs. The cook was also a polite lad always chatted to every guest made us feel so comfortable, room were adequate and got a good night's sleep, all in all we will be back for a 3rd time when we go away again.

A can't fault them hotel room home from home the 3 course meal amazing can't fault it deffo feccomend to anyone.

Very friendly and helpful staff. However, room was quite run down, broken curtains and poor light and sound insulation from the airport. Not the best night's sleep.

Two years later and the food still sucks along with bad service. If you are stuck in this hotel and needed to get something to eat I highly recommend walking across the parking lot and get your food at the shell station. Trust me you will thank me later or tell me I was right if you don't listen. This is the shrimp scampi and a Luke warm cup of coffee served. I had to ask for sugar and cream. The bucket of condiments issued with the dinner had 3 packs of catsup to help improve the taste.

We booked in for the night with parking before an early flight next day… we chose to eat at the restaurant £20 for a 3 course including a bottle of house wine for 2 bargain… we needed to go to the airport for a minor problem with our flights and as we didnt know how long this would take we booked our meal for 9pm… unbeknown to us we were the last booking the staff were absolutely fantastic even tho a couple of them finished at 9pm they stayed on… we were greeted professionally we were served with politness all the way through our meal… overall we were 100% happy we would definitely use this hotel again as we have done in the past 5**** from us.

Hi Dean. Just to say a massive thank you to everyone for yesterday. From yourself, Natalie and Emma for making the arrangements so easy to the serving and bar staff on the day who made everything flow seamlessly. A special mention for Leanne. I know she was very nervous, but nothing was a problem and she was always enquiring to make sure things were right. Hats off to you girl, hope you get to dance at every do. Wedding meal was very tasty and filling and the buffet was faultless. From personal messages to Facebook friends, everyone is commenting on what a fabulous day and night they had. Once again, cracking job Britannia team, well done.

Decor a bit tired, staff great… could not have been more helpful. Our room was nice and we enjoyed happy hour… however the evening meal was not good. Garlic mushrooms passable, but the fish in parsley sauce was horrible. We went to the bar afterwards and people were really enjoying the food in there. Needless to say not the same food we had endured. Breakfast was ok but the plates were tiny. Would stay again but not have the meal deal.

"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION" Can not fault this place, We both found it absolutely brilliant value for money, for the room and for the parking prices. We pretty much paid the same price for a bed for the night and parking as it would of cost just to park your car at the airport. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also offer great happy hour deals on drinks at the bar every evening. The airport is a mere stones throw away from the hotel, less than a 5 minute walk away, along a well lit and sign posted path.

Great little hotel, obviously recently refurbished (you could smell the new carpets). Perfect location if flying from the airport, less that 5 mins walk. Rooms are adequate… all you need for a goods nights rest including tea n coffee facilities. Restaurant had a carvery each night we were there — good quality food and great selection. Breakfast was fairly standard, good quality food… but no pastries. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Only downside was bar prices… keep an eye out for non brand specials and happy hour.

As far as Britannia hotels go this is one of the better ones I have stayed in. Rooms are good sized, clean and presentable. The halls show signs of being refurbed, I think its new carpets throughout. Food was good — carvery for dinner fresh veg and good quality meats. Everything you could want, they also gave happy hour (details in room) which was well worth taking advantage of.

Stayed just for a night before heading away from the airport. Comfortable room, slept well especially considering it's at the airport. Ate at the restaurant too which was really good. Will definitely use again.

We stay here the night before every holiday. Rooms are clean and tidy. Evening meal is very nice and plenty of choice. Breakfast is plentiful. The restaurant and bar are always cold, the only downside to the hotel. Overall it is excellent value for money and the staff are always polite and helpful.

We had a nice room we had a evening meal fish and chips perfect gammon more like bacon. Tasted fine. But I could have had it on the cheep 12pound 3 course menu. As it was the same as mine. I know this as I seen it on the next table. But staff were friendly and helpful very nice. Everything was fine. (But the so called gammon.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, can't say one bad thing about it. Happy to return and will do, from Leanne Lee & Karl to the bar staff and cleaners everyone has been fantastic with me and my dog, they have went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and to feel at home, great for short stay over long stays, family's and dog's!. Rooms are good & food is fab. I'll miss everyone when I leave. Definitely will come back tho. Thanks for everything xx Kt & Dior.

Located across the street from the Newcastle International Airport. Friendly staff and excellent low prices. But not high quality rooms. Generic hotel. Some of the bathroom towels had holes in them (as in picture attached). The beds were small and not at all comfortable. Good access to public transport because of the Metro Train at the nearby airport that takes riders into the main Newcastle Central train station.

Far from the airport hotel little comfortable and very noisy.

Great staff, food good, rooms amazing for the price. Special note to the young lady on the cocktail bar Lindsey, on the 30th Dec 2017 above and beyond! Highly recommend this hotel. Note; check in guy had a bit of attitude, but rest of staff amazing!

Staff here are just excellent. Especially Dean in the restaurant who we've watched go out of his way to accommodate a customer who needed gluten free food. He brought her all she needed in great spirits and with a smile. He really made her weekend.

We attended the Santa Lunch today as we have previous years! We look forward to this day every year and Dean and his staff never fail to disappoint! Great welcome as always. Kids get to meet Santa in his grotto and leave happy with their present. Lovely 3 course meal. Add to that party games, bouncy castle and kids entertainer which allows you to eat in peace while the kids have fun and you have a winning combination! I have a soft spot for The Brittania as it was my wedding venue 11 years ago and the venue for my 10 year anniversary party but the customer service has never wavered and the staff make every guest feel welcome and allow them to really enjoy themselves! Well Done and Thank you!

Great hotel, before we went we had read some mixed reviews. I can honestly say we have no negativity to put out there. It's clean, staff very friendly and good hot food. Loved it.

Extremely convenient location for Newcastle Airport (literally 30 seconds from southern edge of airport car park). Rooms are adequate and clean, but nothing to write home about. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Great situation for airport. Room very clean. Parking great. However had no sleep due to a humming noise all night. Sounds like air extractor in toilet but it was switched off, even heard over TV. Not great.

Location of the hotel compensates for its dated appearance. Short walk to Newcastle Airport check in. Hotel offers on site car parking for its he duration of a holiday if you have an overnight with them before departure. Reasonable buffet dinner can be had. Friendly reception staff. Rooms need a refurbishment.

Initially the staff were fantastic and very helpful, but then they all seemed to disappear and left one poor guy in charge of what seemed like everything, who at one point was turning people away from the bar saying it would be at least 30 mins to get a cup of tea!
We ate in the restaurant and had possibly the worst garlic pizza bread for a starter — honestly how can you get a garlic bread so wrong — it was rock hard, had no taste and was just very unappetising even to look at. The mains weren't much better but we're passable as a plate of food.
On the evening you could potentially wait 10 mins to get served at the bar — just waiting for someone to come and serve.
It's such a shame that a great hotel is suffering from perceived poor customer service when in reality it's just seriously under staffed.
There's plenty competition at the airport now with other hotels — buck up your ideas Britannia otherwise you'll disappear.

VG value for the money, nice room a little dated but clean & comfortable & a short 2/3 minute easy walk to airport.

Hotel furniture and fittings In a generally tired condition staff willing and friendly but show a lack of training, which for me is a sign of poor management. Food simple but well prepared, buffet breakfast area is a bit shambolic with a lack of signage on pots and the slowest toaster in the world which caused a back up. Seriously in need of modernisation. Just do better.

On way to Majorca chose to sleep and park at brittania hotel at Newcastle airport. Service second to none all staff were very attentive evening meal 3 course very tasty. And complimentary bottle of wine. In particular Thomas in the restaurant was very helpful thank you.

Coach driver for Newmarket Holidays. Stayed for 3 nights this weekend. Hotel superb staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed comfortable but room itself needs updating.

Clean well presented, if a little dated, hotel foyer, an easy 5 minute walk from airport terminal. Went to presentation in one of the entertainment suites. Surprisingly cool on such a muggy day. Sandwich and drinks spread varied and fresh.

Extremely useful for the park an fly offer. Staff are friendly. Breakfast was £10.50 extra, I didn't eat so can't comment on food quality. Bedroom was adequate and clean. General comment is that the hotel is of a tired appearance, but honestly if you want an extremely convenient place to stay before or after you fly from Newcastle, I don't think you could get better value.

Rooms dirty, water boiler dirty and stinking rooms.

It takes out all the stress of driving to the airport to catch a flight if its early morning and the convenience of walking immediately to your car when you are ready when you land. A pleasant way to start your holiday. We had a dinner, B&B and parked the car for 6 days all for £63, you can't beat the value. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff friendly, food good — what more do you want when its just a stopover.

Been in many Britannia hotel needs to step up the staff to be amongst the high Britannia hotels.

Stayed there with family for one night in October 2008. Had not much time, but service and quality was good. Prices were okay. Despite the airport so close, there was almost nothing to hear of it.

Staff lovely. Rooms tiny, shoddy, and crumbling. 15% more expensive than really lovely hotel in town center immeasurably more comfortable, nice looking and spacious — just take metro to airport! Would not go back for toffee.

Good value for money double room fine but if you need to share the second bed is very basic but would stay again.
