Lovely clean hotel with good food and comfortable beds ideal for a rest after a long day at the Warner bros studio tour London and staff were very friendly and professional.

Great hotel, easy access to commute into London, train station is 100yds away literally over the road from the hotel, Absolutely spotless and the choice at breakfast is excellent, great value for money & a cracking bar in side hotel & just outside there’s a lovely little pub on the canal a shop, Indian & pizzeria.

Excellent first time stay. Room and all facilities very clean and well presented. Staff very polite, friendly and helpful. Wide breakfast selection. Great customer service all round. Highly recommended Perfect location for Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour as its 10 — 15 minutes down the road.

Clean rooms, really lovely location and staff are really friendly. Food is not great and expensive for what you get but for the hotel and friendly atmosphere I would stay again.

I’ve stayed a lot here when visiting on business. Hotel is modern, fresh, clean and well presented. Staff are courteous, professional and friendly. Food and drink is excellent. Spot on.

Stopped for one night last night and had a fantastic time beds comfy room extremely clean all members of staff polite friendly and helpful will definitely be coming back next time we visit harry potter studios.

The cooked breakfast is adequate but the hotel needs to offer cooked tomato’s as well as baked beans. The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff polite and helpful would stay here again. We stayed here for a friends wedding a few miles up the road.

Had a lovely work stay at this hotel Monday night 29th April check in was quick, helpful and evening meal was good. Breakfast is buffet hot and cold very nice. Easy to park in nice area. Will stay here again.

Food was very very poor (Chicken burger was dry, chewy and greasy. However the staff are amazing and polite. Refunded me the cost of my meal and gave me a free pint of guiness on the house.

Lovely Hotel and the staff are really nice and helpful and the room is really clean and have enough room highly recommend lovely 40 minute up the canal to the town center and the kids stopped at the park on the way we will come back in the near future.

Almost everything I expected for the price (it was a great deal) Everything clean, breakfast was fine and the staff were friendly. View from the backside of the hotel was lovely and there is a great little pub on the other side of the car park. Would have been perfect if the room had a small fridge.

We chose this Hotel for a stay over in the area for 1 night — & we made a good choice. Our double room was perfectly adequate for our stay and was very clean. What was also welcome was a very comfy bed. Additionally, the staff were polite and courteous — hence Th e 5 stars awarded.

Very comfy bed and nice room. Staff very efficient and friendly but don't waste your money on the bland food served up. Very poor choice too. There's a great Fuller's pub across the car park, much more choice, better quality and around half the price.

Clean, family room a bit small using sofa bed but comfortable. Very convenient for Harry Potter.

Four of us shared the room which for the price I could not fault. The bathroom door was clever in that it served to close off either the bathroom, or the toilet. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely was Holiday Inn Express again.

I think that this is a good hotel for business use. Air conditioning as well. Close to Apsley and Hemel Hempstead train stations. Close to the M25. So it is very convenient for London.

Only here one night; couldn't fault room. Breakfast very good, but had to wait for them to top up different items (particularly sausages) — otherwise 5 stars.

Stayed over night before going to WB Studios near by. Arrived early and staff were lovely, one double room was ready and they made the other a priority as it was a family room. Friendly and helpful. Got parked okay but we had arrived at lunch time, saw it get busy later. Room was comfortable and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is good and plenty of options. Convenient location as there are a few shops within a short walk or drive away.

Stayed one night in an emergency. Susie was so helpful at breakfast today. Clean, comfortable and friendly.

Approximately £50 a night. Excellent value BUT low star rating because it was impossible to park! I ended up parking at the Paper Mill (1 space free and someone literally stood in it until I could race there). Good furnishing, lovely breakfast. We'll be back. But no parking!

Stayed here overnight so we could go to see a show in London and the WB studio Harry potter tour. Great transport links, train was 2 minutes walk and WB studio was 12 minute drive. Room was comfortable, and quiet especially considering we were on the main roadside. Staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was great. Highly recommended and we'd definitely be back.

Great staff at this hotel. We had to change our travel arrangements and we called to cancel our room on Wednesday night, but we advised that we still required a room on the 28th. When we arrived at the hotel our total reservation had been cancelled by the call centre, special thanks to Kerry and Chantelle? who sorted everything out for us and got us booked in, excellent customer service girls, thank you.

It's fine for a holiday inn express. Good location. Some close by restaurants… Clean and smells ok. Iron and ironing board in room.

Lovely Room and decor. However, upon my arrival there were children no older than 10 years old unsupervised at midnight taking naughty photos at the entrance. Unpleasant. Overall great room.

Very close to Harry Potter. Only thing that was bad was the beds. They were so uncomfortable. My back is killing me still. All of us didn't sleep well at all. I was so tired for the 4 hour journey home.

This hotel has been my home on and off for the past 15 years. Location is great for train into central London. Staff are helpful and friendly. I already have plans to be back later this year and most of next year.

Nice clean hotel, helpful staff, extremely convenient for the station, and reasonably priced considering it includes breakfast (which is fine — standard hotel fare) and Wi-Fi (which worked well — no password BS and easily fast enough for normal browsing).

Beautiful views of the canal — cheap and very well maintained. Rooms clean and breakfast decent. Pub next door is lovely too.

I attended a company training at this venue and really enjoyed my experience. Great Room offered very nice lunch venue while the Meeting Room 4 was large and comfortable for 12 people. The hotel has a free car park and delicious food. Strongly recommended.

Lovely room and friendly staff. Only negative was the breakfast. Bacon like leather and concentrated OJ was basically tasteless orange water.

Nice venue, easy parking, really lovely cup of Starbucks Coffee, friendly bar staff! Only popped in for a cup of Java whilst waiting for a friend and really pleased to have found a nice comfortable place to relax and just off the M1 too! Result! Gave it 5 star which I don't normally do, because a) can't find a negative and b) nice bar staff therefore no reason to give less!

Nice place directly across from the train station (which takes you straight into london), and just next to the canal. Great breakfast with a wide range of choice, but the hot chocolate wasn't that great. Dinner there is a little expensive, but tasted alright, and had a good night's sleep there. Good facilities and polite staff. Defiantly worth staying at for a weekend away.

Great place! Went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour and this hotel was only one we could get a room in. It's only a 10 drive from the studios. It's a lovely little area, nice canal side pub which does nice food. The hotel itself, very friendly staff, very polite. Clean room, nicely designed. Everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast was nice too!

It's quiet. Only flaw not having anyone to understand Italian also approximate.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was extremely clean and very stylish. The bed was comfortable and even with a main road room it was quiet and I got a fantastic nights sleep. Even the breakfast was as good as you could expect as a freebie.

Stayed whilst visiting Harry Potter Tour. Good clran room. Friendly staff. Lovely little resturant just over the canal. The main reason for choosing this hotel was its location respective to the local train station. 100m as the crow flies.

I booked this hotel for my wedding party as we had several guests traveling from around the UK. I must say that from start to finish, our stay was made very personal by Terri (lady on reception) who was very approachable, friendly, made sure that the checking in process was efficient and that we had everything we needed. We saw Terri over the two days of the wedding weekend and her customer service was first class and the Holiday Inn are lucky to have her as their employee. Thank you Terri x.

Fantastic hotel! Very clean, friendly and helpful staff and plenty of parking available. Lovely location with a fantastic pib (The Paper Mill) a stone's throw away! With breakfast included we paid a fantastic price for a night's stay. We will definitely be returning!

Wi-Fi was so-so but no worse then other public Wi-Fi hotspots, room was clean but the breakfast choice was very bad with literally no healthy options. No fresh fruit on offer apart from bananas.

The location and room was great. Comfortable bed, quiet, it was exactly what we were after. The breakfast was OK hence the lower score.

Decent hotel good value for money. Room is a little cold unsure if the heating works as good as it should.

Aside from the discovery of someone else's manky toenails under the room phone, yecch, the sofa bed was unpleasantly stained and the breakfast was really average, awful croissants and terrible scrambled eggs. Staff were overall lovely though, so one redeeming feature.

Staff really friendly could not do enough for you lovely and clean and food was great, and so quiet at night really had a great night sleep bed was so comfy and clean. One happy travelstyle driver.

Pub next door provides lovley food (but a bit expensive), plus there is an Indian restaurant just over the bridge. Bad points. No Kids menu Do not cater for food intollerances at all.
