I stayed in early May, 2017. Our hotel room was very clean. The size of the room is fair at best. The room appeared to be a little rundown, but definitely more than acceptable. The view wasn't anything special, it was simply rooftops of other buildings near by. The room we were given was unfortunately placed in between multiple elevators and the stairwell. At night, and early mornings it was noisy as you could hear guests entering and exiting the elevators, along with the beep that notifies you that the elevator has arrived at its destination. The location of the room was definitely the biggest frustration, and the main reason why I wasn't able to give this hotel a four star rating. To be fair, we had to check-in late due to a flight delay earlier that day. The lobby of the hotel is fantastic. The decor is amazing, and the pianist playing during the evenings is a nice touch. The staff were extremely helpful, and made my family and I feel very welcome throughout our stay. The location is fantastic. It is very close to Hyde Park. The Swan is a pub a few minutes away from the hotel — I'd definitely recommend dining there. The hotel is very close to Lancaster Gate station — unfortunately it will be closed until July 2017. You're going to have to take the underground to either Queensway or Marble Arch to get to the hotel. Overall, the hotel room was very clean, but somewhat rundown. The location of the hotel room we were given was mediocre at best in between multiple elevators. The location of the hotel is outstanding! There are multiple underground stations, pubs, restaurants, and Hyde Park just a few minutes away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone (with the exception they ask for a room not by the elevators)!
