Hotel was nice and staff helpful. Unfortunately after checking out on Sunday payment only got taken on Wednesday. Plus the pre authorisation payment is still being held from my account 5 days later money I cannot afford to be held!

I am a black cab driver I always recommend hotels when there staff are good to me ie. Using black cabs and very polite.

The staff could be a little more infusiastic and attentive, but other than that it was lovely.

I stayed here in August as part of my hen do package and it was awful. The staff make a hotel and unfortunately the staff here do not care at all. My room was late, the staff were rude and keep fobbing us off. Free welcome drinks were included in our package which would have been nice while we waited for the room, however I was informed they would be brought up to the rooms — they brought drink vouchers up 30 minutes before we had to leave for the theatre. The breakfast was cold and when we complained they said 'it's because you didn't choose a hot plate'. I don't think I hot plate warms up stone cold food. When I got home and made a formal complaint, they offered me a free afternoon tea however I wouldn't go near this hotel again. Stay clear.

This hotel is in a good location but that’s the only positive thing I can share. Staff is inexperienced, not friendly and overall not helpful. Shower has little power and only good if you want to wash your hair. Little power outlets. Old and smelly hallways. No clue how they gained any stars.

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is supposed to be a 4*, but it's a bit dated now, the furniture is scuffed and worn.

Not a 5 star and staff rude. Ordered a burger not delivered to my table just sitting on the bar getting cold. When I spoke with a manager — no introduction just walked up saying burger … no apologies. Lucky it was cheap £146 for a twin room for London. Shame as I have stayed at St. Paul’s and it’s chalk and cheese. Don’t stay if you expect it to be a special occasion. Lucky for me it was only somewhere to put my head down for the night so I’m glad it was cheap but never again.

A nice hotel situated at a easily location to get to. Swimming pool was amazing. Steam Room was pretty exceptional too. Would highly recommend. The room looks a bit outdated but I think that's the persona that their going for.

Only spent one night here but I was very impressed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the roomhad everything we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The only thing I wasn't 100% about was the breakfast. I don't think it was worth £23. All the staff were very nice.

Have been here for a couple. Of training courses so haven't stayed in any rooms. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Food delisious from the morning cakes to the hot lunch. Everything was lovely and clean. Location great for sight seeing.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst attending an event in the city. Our stay was perfect, the room immaculate, the service excellent. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are very quiet which is excellent. The Japanese restaurant was good but the main restaurants menu was a little boring so didn't eat there. Plenty of places to eat close by though.

This was a very welcoming hotel with a classic and classy vibe. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the location was a great starting point right near the Holborn station so I could easily get lots of places right from the hotel. The room was nice, upscale simple room with everything I needed. I partly chose this place because I also really liked the look of the pool as well which was very nice, if a bit crowded when I went. The breakfast in the morning was worth the price, pricier than doing it somewhere else but you can't beat the convenience. It was just a nice atmosphere, it had a comfortable yet elegant vibe, but not so over the top. I really liked it! Also quite reasonable for London prices and for what you get.

This is not a 5 Star Hotel. Far from it, its a 3 star possibly 3.5 at very best. It has all the pretense of a 5 star at reception and then falls woefully below expectations as you continue your stay. Run down rooms, poor bedding, stained dirty windows, broken locks on doors, cash only for room service, outdated decore, poor food, cheap room facilities & accessories, broken mini bars that barely open and provide innacurate readings to front of house, food left to rot overnight and deep into the morning in hallways, no dressing gowns in rooms as standard policy… Does this sound like a proud 5 star establishment? … or a hotel happily taking you for the 'secret escape peasants' they think you are? They charge high and they spend low, not sure who they are bribing year on year to keep their stars. Standards obviously dip in London where location buys you many stars instantly but frankly this is a bit of a joke to the whole idea of stars. Seriously needs review to at the very least reduce them to 4. I was hugely disappointing to have parted with my money for such a poor offering disguised by offers that make sure guests do not have the ability to access reviews or information on the hotel before purchase. avoid.

Stayed here for 1 night during my Daughter's Hen weekend. Staff were very helpful, rooms were upgraded. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. We had buffet breakfast, wide variety of foods on offer. We used the Spa on Sunday morning. Only thing that's need improving is the size of the changing Rooms, we were a large party of 15 and there wasn't a lot of room to fit us in. Even when just 6 of us were changing there wasn't a lot of room or privacy. Otherwise a lovely hotel would definitely recommend it.

Stayed there during my first trip to the UK and I wasn't disappointed at all! I was there for business and unfortunately didn't had enough time to enjoy sightseeing. The staff was nice and helpful, the gentleman in charge of conciergerie gave me valuable advices for my departure (recommend checkout time, metro availability. Etc). My room was extra clean, cosy and quiet. Ironing board and trouser press was and appreciated plus! Breakfasts was rich and delicious, I really enjoyed the city view too. I totally recommend this lovely hotel.

This is not a five star hotel. 3 to 4 at best. Booked through last minute top secret hotels and so you can't check reviews before booking. I would have gone elsewhere had I known. It's a bit run down. The rooms are adequate but need updating. The bed was small and sagged and had seen better days. The carpets are old and stained and the whole place needs to be refurbished. Spa and pool OK but water was too cold. Service was OK. Would be horrified to pay full room rate. Won't be back.

Overall hotel is nice. It would be nice to have a plug close to the bed instead of across the room. I would add some signage to the shower, I had difficulty with the handle but the onsite team should know what to doesn't.

We had a very disappointing stay here in October. I complained three times at the time, but was repeatedly fobbed off with lies, and reported it after the stay, but got no reply.
Upon arrival, which wasn’t until around 5pm, we couldn’t get into our room as there was a cleaner in there blocking the door, which seemed strange. We finally got in our room, which had a double bed, and the room was tiny with a view of a brick wall. I went to reception to complain, who asked me what room I had booked, and I told them a double. I was informed that’s what I had, but when I checked my booking I realised that it was an executive double with a queen bed, so I returned to reception to inform them. They then informed me that this was what I had, and I reminded them what thy had said previously, but they maintained that all of their rooms were executive with a queen bed. I tried to complain one more time, but I was getting nowhere.
Determined not to let this ruin our weekend, we went to the sky garden for food. The staff were very friendly and we ordered some drinks as well. We waited some time until the starters and main arrived at the same time. The starter was cold and dry and the main was well below par. I mentioned this to the staff, but decided to pay anyway, and put it down to experience. We ended up eating and drinking out for the remainder of our stay.

I have stayed at the Grange Holborn hotel and have also had, breakfast, drinks and dinner there. Service is always exceptional as is the atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel and location is really convenient, right next to Holborn station.

A very comfortable hotel.

Not 5*****. Stayed there on Saturday night as part of a weekend away with my wife and a trip to the theatre. Polite staff, decent spa and gym but the rooms were a bit tired and dated, initially we had no bath plug and the TV was a relic from the 90s. Comfortable enough but for £150 a night room only I was expecting something a bit better, maybe I am not used to London prices and what £150 buys you. Overall it was ok but I have stayed in better equipped Premier Inns for half the price.

Nice hotel, the pool was a bit cold but the other spa features were spot on. The bar provides a good selection of well served drinks eg Hendricks Gin came with cucumber not lime. The staff were exceptionally helpful and catered for all requirements, the breakfast is one of the best I have had that was included with the room. Finally, the room was modern and well presented.

It's a middle grade hotel at best at this point, nowhere near in quality the nearby Grange St. Paul, for example. Two-piece hangers in a room — this is a five star where hanger theft by guests is a concern, apparently. Beat-up furniture. 35 pound full breakfast is far more of a rip-off than a usual hotel breakfast — limited, budget choices. Staff try to compensate, but often come across just anxious. Slavic-speaking help are clearly not cognizant that some guests understand their rather spicy conversations…

Very spacious rooms with excellent facilities including a large swimming pool and gym. Ideally located within minutes walk of Covent garden.

Enjoyed my stay here. Managed to get a deal for the bank holiday weekend and had access to their spa. View is not the best but it is in the middle of Holborn!

Room was very cozy and comfortable. We got a queen bed, and the room size was great, with a nice sofa and fully stocked tea tray. Nice bathtub for a hot soak. Pool facilities were lovely. Service was superb. Didn't get breakfast so can't comment. Only downside was very noisy guests next door but security was on it immediately when I phoned to complain.

The room showed some aging. But was ok. The bed was clean. Little spots and stuff like that here and there. But it was mostly clean. Nice shampoo and conditioner. The showerhead could use with a little cleaning, it had really good water pressure but went all over the place. Helpful staff.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Huge bed and good sized room. On road side so plenty of road noise till late. Gym is ok, pool only 13m so can glide one side to the other. General feel is bland, the place has no spice.

Attended to use pool and sauna and steam room. Pool was beautiful and quiet and private. Sauna and steam room were smallish but effective however unless you are a guest it is 20 pounds per person which is totally unreasonable.

Stay away from this BEDBUG feasting hotel. Their staff are unprofessional and rude. This is not a 5* the hotel is dirty and dated. I stay there in room 913 for 6 nights in July 2017 Anura one of the staff told me guess are not allow to seat in lobby unless food or drink is purchase from bar. They don't clean the room neither change the sheets or towels. Mattress has BEDBUG. I report my concern to head office nothing was done. I travel a lot for business and leisure I have stay in 5* hotel for my travel by far this was the worse. My husband has bedbug bumps all over him we had to trash all of our stuff when we got home due to BEDBUG. The whole time we stay there we felt like we were in jail. I don't recommend this BEDBUG feasting hotel to anyone. If you don't want to deal with BEDBUG stay away from this dated rundown bedbug hotel.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The location is ideal for British Museum and the theatres. I would absolutely stay here again.

Had maintenance issues at another Grange property so they moved me over here and included breakfast and an upgrade. Handled very well. Nice hotel. Great staff. Good breakfast. Pretty outdated decor and extra firm bed (which some may prefer). Would stay here again for sure. Excellent location. Rooftop bar has potential.

The hotel is in a great location close to Holborn tube station. The hotel is clean and full of character and charm. The stand out point for me was the level of service. The staff were friendly, and helpful and every single one of them had a smile on their face. I felt really welcome. I did not stay here as the purpose of my visit was a conference, which was also well serviced. I therefore am unable to comment on the rooms. Overall this was a great experience, just a shame that I did not have time for a drink in the bar!

A really nice structure, organized and professional.

Anywhere else in the world this place would not qualify as a 5-star hotel. But k guess being in central London just tips it over the border. The corridors are dark and dingy with the dusty carpet smell everywhere, the rooms are spacious and comfortable but not up to 5 star standard. I found it difficult to find a charging point for my phone! Had to unplug the TV to charge my phone. This is 2016, right?

It was amazing. My friends and I went for a spa day. The price and the staff are definitely recommended.

The only reason I couldn't give the Grange Holborn a 5 star review was because they gave me the keycard to the wrong room and subsequently disturbed another guest. A poor first impression. However, I found my stay to be quite nice. I spent 13 nights in an king bed business class room. I found the staff to be very professional and polite. The free breakfast was lovely but did get old after 10 days. As far as location goes this is really ideal. Walking distance to both the business district (my office was by St. Paul's Cathedral) and covent garden BUT far enough away from tourist hot spots. There are great restaurants nearby and you're close to the Holborn tube station. I think that if there wasn't an initial misstep, then the grange Holborn would certainly deserve a 5-star rating.

A great location! a very comfortable traditional hotel. We had a spacious twin room on the sixth floor. All the staff were very professional, courteous and helpful. A fabulous pool and spa! We would definitely stay again :)

Lovely hotel rooms are spacious and are made up every day for you. The bathroom is a bit small but lovely bath and shower very modern. The hotel is in walking distance from the underground and if u want about 15 mins from train station. You can also walk to covent garden and Leicester Square. Had a really great stay in hotel would stay here again.

Rooms are dated and have lots of wear and tear. Internet SUCKS (VERY SLOW for a 5 star hotel). Breakfast is like 7/10. The hallways need improvement. The elevator has no security. The staff appeared embarrassed when I asked about the tiny business centre. Great staff though.

We are in London from Mar 24th with checkout on Mar 29th. We had the following bad experiences: The first night (Mar 23rd) we ordered samosas from the after hours menu in the bar on the ground floor. They came out still frozen inside and they corrected the problem by heating them further. First morning (Mar 25th), we had breakfast brought up by ordering from the menu posted on our door. We each ordered the smoked salmon and eggs. The eggs were totally tasteless, but the smoked salmon was good. Second night (Mar 25th), we purchased a medium pressure regular massage and a firm pressure deep tissue massage at the spa downstairs. The massage therapist had a very VERY light touch for both of us. I asked her to increase the pressure, but she only applied a medium pressure for a moment before returning to her lighter touch. Neither of us felt any relief in our muscles from these massages. For our third night (Mar 26th), we ordered 2 three course meals in the restaurant on the 1st floor. * Tomato soup starter * Grilled Steak with potato wedges and tomatoes. * Ice cream scoops * Tomato and Mozzarella starter * Spinach Tortellini * Fruit with ice cream The appetizers and ice cream desert were delicious, but neither of us ate but a bite or two of our main course before sending it back. The steak had an unexpected brown sauce poured all over it and was tasteless and overcooked.

Just stayed here for two nights, the weekend was our wedding anniversary, so we booked here. When I came to, because it was a "special day", so our room was upgraded. Location was great and bell staff very amendable and friendly. Rooms need a lot of updating, beds uncomfortable. Very noisy with bins being collected on both morning we were there at around 6:30. Would not say it was 5 star!

Excellent hotel, near Holborn station. Employees are very gentle. There is free Wi-Fi and TV inside room. Buffet breakfast is complete, you can find anything you like. Shower is not immediate to understand but is fantastic. The bad news are for EU guests: there is no any EU electric plug in room.

Staff there seemed friendly, easy to get to from the tube. Conference suites were comfortable and the guest Wi-Fi coped pretty well considering the room we were in was pretty full.

What *is* a wedge salad? We'll never know the answer, but we sure did eat the whole thing. If you're in the mood for a quick brunch, I can't recommend this eatery more. Don't forget to ask for your beverages in containers, otherwise they will spill on your lap/the table.

Pathetic excuse for a 4/5 experience. Small room. Very uncomfortable mattress. Only 2 sockets in the room — for anyone needing to power up their devices. Ultra-small cheap TV with like 9 channels of nothing to watch. Bad menu. First time I've been in a British hotel with 0 biscuits in the room to have with coffee/tea. We came here because it was the only advertised 4/5 spot in the area with a pool. We figured we could have our daughter practice her swimming a bit for a couple hours before thinking about shows and shopping for the day. Turns out they have only a few hours available for children throughout the week. We happened to arrive on the wrong day and apparently looking at the wrong time. We tried to use the pool at 8:30am — — when there was NOONE else in the pool (and they'd been open since 6:30). More stuff: I'm American. And apparently, they don't easily understand American English at the reception — — they even told me that. I have to say in all honesty, we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the prior night in Wandsworth. And that was a better experience than this flea-bitten cheapskate place. In my opinion, avoid this mousetrap.

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

I have stayed with my wife for several weekend occasions and have always been impressed with the service, quality of rooms and friendliness of staff. Check out the little oasis on the 9th floor where you can enjoy a quiet drink with spectacular views over London.

The staff were great, very helpful. Good location and easy to access. Well stocked and replenished minibar. The Wi Fi was appallingly slow, a shock in this day and age. The TV never worked properly and a struggle to find even the free channels. The food was average.

The people and hotel are fantastic and in a good location. It's not the best for wheelchair accessibility but it's definitely not the worst. Fantastic shower water pressure too.

Hotel is o. K. But not remotely 5 star. Has no luxury 5 star look or feel to it. Worth the £99 we paid, but not more. Best thing is it's position in central London. Was highly amused when receptionist offered us breakfast for £23 each and she kept a straight face.
