Perfect for a v. Comfortable overnight crash in the 'big smoke'. Quiet, clean, friendly staff, and great for a Theatre Land overnighter.

A very large room in a grand Georgian street now converted to hotels. Old fashioned comfort in the heart of Bloomsbury a short distance from the British Museum, but the bed wasn't as comfortable as at other Grange Hotels and the room was too hot and could do with air conditioning. The shower was also disappointing with insufficient water pressure.

Disappointed would be putting it mildly! We arrived and a cot hadn't been put in our room The floor by my son's bed is wet (not what you want when you have a 1 year old who wants to play on the floor … It's is now ten past midnight and we are waiting for a replacement cot for my daughter as the one supplied collapses on her everytime she roles over! The noise of staff bounding across reception keeps waking my son! I am exhausted! I am here because I have training to attend this weekend (also for the next two weekends) and would have like to get a good night's sleep! We had planned to book this hotel for the next two weekends but as things stand I can't see us lasting another night here!

Very nice hotel good location near to 2 tube station Holborn and Russell Square staff are very friendly I stayed several times when on business in London only down side no air-conditioning that said most of the time that's not an issue.

Friendly staff, large rooms. Quiet location. Ideal for tube. Only downside no air con.

I’m currently staying at this property for an extended business trip. The hotel is located in a terrific area. It is just off Bloomsbury park and is very safe and quiet. It is walking distance to many shops and tons of restaurants. It is also walking distance to the British museum and stops for the hop on hop off bus. Maybe a 15 minute walk to Trafalgar square. It is an older hotel, in fact it is a converted Town home. It is smaller in size and is not a modern hotel. If you're looking for a gym, pools, modern bar etc. This isn't the best fit. However, the staff are very friendly and the rooms are large. Very charming overall.

I’m currently staying at this property. The staff has been nice enough, but yet they are not empowered to make any decisions or can make your stay better. They are clearly from other countries, which is fine, but ownership clearly rules with an iron fist. Every employee seems to “fear the boss” and has no power whatsoever to resolve issues. It’s not been a real hotel experience. There is no warm cookie upon entry like a double tree or Hilton. They have a laughable small bar, and god forbid you ask for a drink. Everything is overpriced and small. My company paid for me to stay here for 19 nights. They paid well over the rate that the hotel is offering. After swiping my corporate Amex for about 4, 000 pounds (about 6kusd) I thought that I would get some sort of extra treatment. No. I was told that I do not get breakfast with my rate. This is strange as I know my company is paying well above market rates. They did absolutely nothing to welcome me beyond what a normal traveler would expect. This is odd. My colleagues are staying at hotels all around this place and they are enjoying amazing perks. They also are paying comparable rates. I’m only here because this weird place has a 4 star rating. No gym, pool, or really anything to speak of… It’s more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Yet, I’ve never scene or smelled breakfast. Again, I’m not eligible yet I prepaid 19 nights above their market ask. What a joke! The rooms are old. The amenities are old.

A good hotel in a perfect location for a stay in London. Bus station in the street, Russell Square underground around the corner. Easy walking distance to Oxford Street and Soho.
The executive room is quite large and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom also has an appealing size. The breakfast is good. Overall I can highly recommend the hotel, Price/power fits.

Small but cosy hotel. Ten minutes walk to Tottenham Court Road tube. Four minutes walk to Holborn. Worth upgrading to the full English breakfast.

Rooms are small. No evening restaurant. Otherwise clean and pleasant. OK for an overnight. Several restaurants nearby.

They "upgraded" my room and give me the one underneath the main corridor, I could hear people coming and going all night and the bags rolling in the morning. Terrible bad experience, I couldn't sleep all night because of the noise and they didn't offer any kind of compensation.

Lovely warm room clean. Quiet location close to tubes cafes restaurants.

Stuff was friendly. Rooms are not really clean… hairs in bathroom, and the floor and some on the bead. Small rooms, but great location.

Service not bad, rooms very nice and we got a free upgrade. No minibar or ice machine though!

Stayed for one night for an after work catch up with son. Had booked single. Was upgraded to double which was appreciated. Staff v helpful. Room clean and pleasing in the eye with plenty of toiletries, refreshments, hairdryer etc. Great location. 10 mins walk from Covent Garden, Strand. Breakfast plentiful with fresh fruit toast cereals etc for continental option. Highly Recommended.

Lovely hotel. Right in the middle of London. 2 mins from Holburn underground.

Stayed very briefly. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately it represents poor value. The premium room to which I was "upgraded" was in dire need of attention to detail. See the attached photos of the mouldy bathroom, battered walls and mismatched lights. I am forced to conclude that the owners don't care. You'd be better off at the Premier Inn round the corner.

The only 2 positives was that our room was upgraded for free and the staff where extremely polite and friendly however there communication is very poor. The room where not clean to a very high standard, there was toothpaste all down the tiles in our bathroom, TV did not work, the breakfast tasted stale, again our requests for chrispier bacon where not understood due to language barriers. The main room was ok I always half expected dated rooms, however the bathroom was shocking! The toilet roll holder and shower was hanging on my a thread, the shower door was broken and the bath was so high up to get into the shower I required assistance! Bathroom requires major refurb!

Had a superior room booked. Ended up in the lower ground floor (underground). Room was also in very bad condition. Beddsheets were with holes. Wallpaper was peeling off in many places. One of the worst hotels I stayed in UK.

Very helpful staff. My Wife had just got off flight from Nairobi and was very tired. We were 4 hours early for checkin so couldn't reasonably expect to checkin at that time. The girl at reception was very helpful and promised to call as soon as a room was available which she did (30 minutes later). My wife was so pleased to sleep! The next day Reception were also happy to photocopy my wife's passport which we needed before we went to get visa for her that day.

Friendly staff clean large room and a first class breakfast what more do you want.

English breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were large and clean, but walls and floor very creaky. I kept thinking somebody had walked into my room!

Room was definitely too hot even with an open window. No free bottle of water. Nevertheless nice staff and room.

The staff was nice and the location is great but the hotel decord was really old and needed a refresh. There was no air conditionning too!

Room was perfect and hotel situation is very good with near access to bus, and holborn tube station. British museum is just some steps away.

Lovely hotel and staff. The room was far bigger than we expected. In a great part of London as it's surprisingly quiet considering you're 10-15 minutes walk from the centre. Nice little park with a play area at the end of the road and lots of nice little bars and eateries dotted around. Would definitely go back.

Good value for the money. Big room with all the comports like at home, with a good kingsise bed, nice and English. Nice bathroom with a bath and it was clean.

Currently enjoying a wonderful stay. Next time we shall need to try the breakfast! 2 more nights and as yet not a single complaint! Lovely staff and lovely rooms! Definitely coming back x love room 3 x.

The room was very good but far too warm for me, I even opened a window at 2am, the breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and efficient.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

I stayed here for business for one night in an upgraded room. The room itself was large and excellent quality with a very comfortable bed. The room had a good sized bathroom, and recent storage. A very passable full cooked breakfast was also included in the morning. Situated on a very quiet street an easy walking distance from Euston station or Oxford Street, this hotel provides a very convenient base for business travelers.

Had a great stay. Received a free up grade staff were attentive but not oppressive. Couldn't rate the stay highly enough, rounded off a lovely weekend with a full English breakfast. If I had the opportunity would definitely stay there again!

Excellent hotel with a very polite staff. Our room was on the bottom floor facing the street but still queit. Absolutely would stay there again.

Room was great, but the lack of staff on reception is a real issue. 1 member of staff at checkout time means a length wait, and when we came to pick up our bags there was a long que of people with again, only 1 person working.

Room ok but not spectacular to say I was upgraded to an executive room. Breakfast very average.

Poorly converted townhouse. Walls are paper thin, doors have no stoppers so slam constantly throughout the night. Majority of staff are friendly enough.

Too pricey even for London. Wall paper in the room was all patched up and very tired looking. Found the staff ok, Very squeaky floorboards outside of the bedrooms, Doors closing are very loud! So if you want a lie in don't bother! Also had the reception calling me at 7am saying that I asked for an early morning wake up call (Which I hadn't) When we complained on leaving the receptionist seemed to find it very amusing that she called me twice for a call that I had not requested. Its a shame because the location is very good. Wont be in a hurry to return. Customer service skills really need to be improved!

Hospitality, rooms, services, breakfast, cleanliness were spotless!

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

Possibly the worst levels of customer service I have ever experienced. Staff were downright rude, taking an hour to check us in, and even more rude when we returned to the hotel to retire for the night, refusing to give one of our party directions to his room. Wifi prices can only be described as extortionate. Hotel itself is substandard for price.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend. Its fine but not what I would call 4star at all! We were placed in a darkish underground room. There was no fridge and no air conditioning. Every night we were woken around 3am/5am by staff working outside out room (e. G throwing bags of laundry down from the street or moving gas cannisters). To top it all off the Wi-Fi was extortionate (£5 for 1 hour, £10 for the day).

Great location, but tired old hotel, tiny rooms, bit noisy, no free internet (though we could get BT OpenZone Wi-Fi for 1/3 the price the hotel offered! ), pricey breakfast that we never tried. The staff were mostly indifferent. We arrived early in the morning, the first day ouf our two week stay — not because we expected to check into a hotel so early, but our flight put us there at the crack of dawn. The staff seemed to think we were insane for even asking if our room might be ready early. We expected it wouldn't, though they did offer to get it ready early for "only" 50 pounds (eek! ). We felt we had to talk them into the idea of checking our bags so we could go find something to do until checkin time. They continued to regard us as if we had teleported into the lobby by magic. The bed might be the hardest we have ever slept on. I enjoy a firm mattress, but by day two my bones were literally aching.

I checked in late one evening for a one night stay and they upgraded me for free. Good room and helpful staff.
