Food was cold, they have only 3 children’s chair for all the pub.

Overnight stay was very nice. Have stayed there before and would definitely recommend it.

Stopped by for lunch, lovely food, friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly.

Amazing. I stay in at least 30 hotel rooms a year and this was the best pound for pound I've had. Stayed in many a lovely hotel local to the mayflower but this will be my hotel of choice everytime I'm in the area from now on. Ground floor suite was out of this world and I literally stayed to the last minute before checkout. The food in the restaurant was divine and as good as any fine dining experience I've had. Only negative (and many a hotel fall foul of this) a full English breakfast needs more than one sausage. 2 eggs great 3 bacon great but one sausage just doesn't cut it but that's easily forgiven when all is considered. 10/10.

They are so attentive and the food amazing not your usual menu — we will come back again and again — great hosts xx.

Great choice of space in a massive garden. The food was amazing and came quicker than expected 👌 Staff respected social distancing but we still felt well looked after. Really recommend this place and thanks for having us.

We had a lovely meal here yesterday, fish and chips were excellent! the garden was a bit chilly but they had blankets and hot water bottles — fab idea! thank you.

Called in on our cycle ride for a couple of g & ts (keep hydrated they say! ) good selection of guns and friendly service.

Just too much hard work just to sit down for a couple of drinks. Required you to use a smartphone and QR code to order from table, but mobile phone signals are poor. You can use Wi-Fi, but needs completely irrelevant info and takes for ever just to register to get on line. When you do get to order, the waiting time was in excess of 30 mins! It won’t last long running like this!

Very Poor — Service wasn’t as advertised. Bathrobes, nespresso machine removed blaming Covid. No service to clean rooms, phone wasn’t answered so when needed towels had to go down to the bar. Had to do multiple times as was told would be sent up but weren’t. Complained afterwards on complete lack of service, weeks later they are still looking into it. Not interested in customer service. Have stayed elsewhere post Covid guidelines and had incredible service where they have adapted to follow the guidelines while still ensuring a positive customer experience. Mayflower has used it as an excuse to charge the same but cut their costs. Avoid this place, go to an AirBnB instead.

Very disappointed in the attitude of the staff. Lack of clarity, felt that we should not be here.

Awful service after an hour of waiting for the food the seagulls ate our dinner which was apparently re cooked but the fish came out flipped over with a chunk out of it & the burgers was so gristly we couldn’t eat it.

Fabulous staff & service, loving it as our new local.

Turned up on a last min decision on a Saturday evening as a table of 14 people, the pub would have made at LEAST £250 from us. They were serving food and had a table available large enough but point blank refused to serve us. The 'manager' very rudely just said no, she didn't even bother to explain her reasons for the decline or why they couldn't serve us. Don't know how this pub makes any money tbh with that attitude and to make matters worse they do not share tips with waiting staff! Would NEVER try to give them another penny again which is a shame as locals.

A great building and good service. Food is OK but slightly overpriced. Lunch for my son and I was over £40 which isn't great for 2 mains, shandy and soft drink (no steaks or fish. ). My butternut squash curry was unevenly cooked, resulting hard larger pieces. : — (. My son's burger was good but nothing on a $10 priest burger in Toronto and this was over twice the price.

Very impressed with the service and the friendly staff. The garden is a perfect place for a cheeky Gin and Tonic or vino. The interior is very chic and there are comfy chairs to relax in. They serve great food and really make you feel welcome. This is a lovely gem in Lymington.

Very nice place to eat. I found it by accident on a horrible trip back from what use to be Reading. I'd recommend it if your passing. Staff are very polite. Loads of parking. A hidden gem.

This is a lovely pub which was recommended to us by someone at the motor museum. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and the food was the best we have had whilst staying in the New Forest! I would definitely come back and would recommend others to come also. Thank you for an enjoyable meal.

The food was quite bland. Our food needed some of the ingredient for example; there were no olives in the salad as it said. Also one of our drinks were completely warm and they got some of our orders wrong. Aside from that it's a cost place.

Lovely looking place with large outside seating area. Just been on a fishing trip and even though we didn't smell the nicest the staff still treated us the same as anyone else. We never ate anything there but the food other people were served did look great. If we are back down that way and have more time then we'll definitely be eating there. 4 stars as haven't tried the food yet.

Quite expensive but lovely food, nice wine on happy hour, lovely big beer garden with play area for kids. BBQ options too.

Nice location plenty of empty tables midweek lunch in garden, realised why, lunch menu is not for the faint hearted average main course £15/17 (would not have had much change out of £80 if we had stayed for 4 of us, not really family friendly fare so had a nice drink and ate elsewhere!

Just arrived for a stay the polish lady who was behind the bar took us to our room she was very informative extremely customer service friend. I've observed her this evening clearing tables serving behind the bar she is amazing credit to her. The room is lovely very clean and bright excellent facilities from drinks toiletries and iron hairdryer ect. Only downside is service on being able to book a table on the veranda and service from the bar as in male staff they are not observant to customer priority which is a shame to all the excellent other service are dampened by this one paticular bar staff shown only interested in serving females not queue order. In fact my husband contemplated asking to borrow my dress I order to be served in his turn lol.

Spent the night with our dog and the staff were lovely. Amazing food and great wines. Short walk into the village and beautiful coastal walk outside the garden area. Perfect for a beer in the sunshine.

Had a bank holiday lunch here and thought the staff did well to cope with demand. Sadly they had no ales on tap which was really disappointing (thus four stars). Food was great and seating areas outside were great quality. They have invested heavily in their gardens and it made for a lovely place to sit for an afternoon. Try the hammock if you get a chance!

The best pork belly I’ve ever had! Food was delicious, it was busy so the wait was a little bit but quality of the food totally made up for it as well as the full disclosure and attentive service. And the free dessert! Wine was also de-lish! Would definitely recommend! Just wish there was some music playing would have topped it off!

Just come back from an exceptional weekend at the Mayflower! Even booked to return in the summer already! Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant… looking forward to returning and seeing Blaire, Gary and Chloe again they all made me feel really welcome I would definitely recommend! Rooms are beautiful as well as the view! Thank you so much for some beautiful memories.

Lovely cozy interior, friendly staff, lovely food! Great set menu lunch at the moment, delicious food and only about £12.99 for 2 courses and £13.99 for 3 courses. Gorgeous fresh bread with the soup and pate too! Yum!

Looking at the reviews to see some petty comments. Haha some people are strange. We loved our stay and it’s at the top of my list. What a fabulous pub. Lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn’t be more friendly. Rooms are gorgeous and food was excellent. Definitely a 5star from us.

Called in for Sunday Breakfast. Greeted with a warm welcome and a delicious range of breakfast options. We plumped for a full English and Eggs Royale. All was fresh, delicious and well presented. Priced appropriately too. Sat by the open fire, with the bar to ourselves. A super experience. It would be a lovely place to stay too as only a short stroll from Lymington centre and even closer to the Marinas and Salt Marsh, great for bird watchers.

Stumbled across this pub on our walk in Lymington — so enjoyed their home made soup and mini loaves for lunch — we booked for five for the evening. Friendly, attentive staff, great ambience and superb food. We all went for the set menu — 3 courses — and each of us had something different — all superb — I particularly enjoyed the fish cake starter and the seafood parpadelle with loads of fish — finished off with sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel ice cream — yum yum — good size portions for a set menu and all for £15.95 — highly recommended. I am told the Mayflower ale was pretty good too!

The food waiters and waitresses were friendly and the food came quickly, the food tasted absolutely delicious, however at just shy of £20 each for a burger and a coke it was a bit expensive for the size of the burger. However that is the only bad point about my experience. Otherwise it was perfect and I enjoyed the meal.

Very pretty, high class place. Own good restaurant, and good service. I loved staying here, and our room was so pretty. The house itself is very iconic. A bit distant, and one house can't offer everything, but the centrum is close enough, and the marina right beside. I recommend.

27/08/2017 I love this pub and eatery. But, have to say moving the childrens play area to a central position was the wrong move. The noise when trying to have a meal or drink is extreme and parents don't seem to show any parental control anymore. Had a meal sat outside on the balcony and the noise on Sunday around 5 is was not what you would expect. Should be notices up advising parents to keep children under control. We are regular users on this pub, and may choose another in future because of it.

Lovely relaxed venue our waitress was excellent efficient, friendly and helpful. Meal was good and wine nice quality at reasonable price. May even stay next time as dog friendly and rooms look nice and comfortable.

Staff were not friendly. Even though they have put a play area out in the garden it still feels like your putting them out having children there. They lacked manners and it's very over priced for the quality you get. It's a shame because this place used to be such a great place to go but really unimpressed by the way the new owners run it. It's to much of a large pub to try and be high end market and try and be childfree, that's why they put the child area in as they were not successful without it but they still have a long way to go to be a sort to place to eat for families when your staff act unimpressed when you turn up with children. There are plenty of other places I would rather go and spend less money on food and have a warm welcome.

The Mayflower is a great boutique pub hotel. The food is top notch with a nice selection of continental options from a buffet with the option of hot food to order. In the evenings the pub serves excellent quality food from a small but varied menu. I wholly recommend the fish sharing platter if still available as it's really tasty. The puddings are also really good, so be sure to leave room which is easier said than done! I would definitely come back again. Lymington itself is quite small but there are lots of things to do nearby and if the weather allows plenty of walking options surround you.

Lovely pub with playground for kids. Food very pricey but absolute top quality. Nicest chicken caesar salad I've ever had. Staff friendly too and great sitting out the back in summer.

Return visit to this 6 bedded hotel/ pub/ restaurant after a refurbishment.
Very large outsold grassed area with lots of long bench tables — very popular with families yesterday in the sun.
Apparently in the summer school holidays they hold outside BBQ which will increase its popularity.
Shame to see the children's play area has disappeared.
Maybe a bouncey Castle in the summer?

Situated at the edge of the Yacht Haven Marina with its 230 boats and a short walk from the sea marshes opposite IOW.
About 25 minutes walk from Lymington town itself where there is a lot of choice of restaurants, some with specials deals.

I like the pub, it has a cosy atmosphere and it has been tastefully decorated. The staff are very friendly. It has a large garden where one can sit outside at good sized tables. There is a place for children to play.

Great pint of Guinness even though it was one of the first poured. Largers and real ales only 2 / 3 to choose from. Great location close to the harbour. Good sized patio and garden at rear, with a converted truck turned into an outside bar, I guess for busier times. We didn't eat so can't comment.

Not cheap but excellent quality food. Drinks options for children and non alcoholic beers is very limited. Easter egg hunt and singer were great. If the drinks options was better I would have given 5 stars.

Went for a lunch on the way through. Quite busy but for good reason. Food was a good standard of pub grub and it was a nice environment inside with modern furnishings. Plenty of ales and draught on tap. Bit more of a family pub than quiet rest. Nice enough however.

Went for a few drinks with a friend on Sunday. Drinks were usual Lymington prices and the atmosphere was really family friendly. Gorgeous weather too!

Amazing evening celebrating my daughters birthday. Excellent food, lovely table in the corner so we were able to bring our dog, which is always a plus point for us. The staff were lovely too, would always recommend the Mayflower, we bring all our friends here. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
