Fabulous hotel, beautiful views and knowledgeable spa staff — food very pricey so try to eat out but the included breakfast is very tasty! We can't wait to come back.

Would recommend as 2nd time going but just as good as first time also had an amazing waiter (George) he made the evening perfect the food was out standing definitely would come back again.

A spacious, historic hotel in a beautiful setting. Fabulous spa, outdoor pool and lovely grounds with views to the sea.

The spa day is excellent. My family and my daughter's will be mother and sister n law went there for a hen spa day. We had a back and fave and head message wow that was relaxing and spent the day by the outside pool catching the sun. The indoor was lovely and the steam room was very hot haha. The location and the views are stunning I definitely recommend it.

Had a lovely one night stay, used the spa, had a fabulous massage — although, myself and my Mr were both booked for the same treatment at the same time but when we compared notes after, we had very different massages, bit random! dinner was delicious, staff were so friendly and helpful. would definitely book again.

Me and my boyfriend we stayed on the suite. It was amazing! a lot of space, very cozy and romantic. dinner at the restaurant was delicious as well! not too far from the town and super relaxing.

The staff are very professional and friendly the whole place is so clean. I would recommend anyone to join.

Had our wedding day yesterday at Elmers Court Hotel and I couldn’t fault anything, it was perfect! The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, and the facilities were great! The staff were incredible, always going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed from the moment we arrived. A huge thank you to Chelsea, you’ve been amazing from the moment we booked our wedding! Everyone has been so friendly and accommodating — thank you all so much. We will see you next year for our 1st anniversary! 😊

Amazing staff friendly and helpful all of the time. Clean and tidy venue. room is spacious clean and tidy. only have two issue one small and one large. Shower pressure is so poor it reminds me of a leaky out side tap although I have gotten more pressure out of a hose and the big issue is the bed it's so hard it's like laying on a wooden board and the pillows I would have had less bumps if I had fallen down t he stairs. Honestly wouldn't have bothered me that much but when I paid 190 pound for the room for one night it's such a shame. overall its a 3.5 star from me not great but I have stayed at worst places.

Absolutely awful communication. Been trying for over a month to make a booking which was for a friend's birthday back in May. Tried ringing and email, I'm ignored every time. Do not recommend!

The Manor House is spectacular and the grounds beautiful. The children's play area needs more swings. The pools are beautiful and well maintained the accommodation is quite dated but very comfortable apart from the hard beds and pillows which need updating. Many of the guests are rather middle classed and not terribly friendly.

Our original spa break was booked for the weekend of the first lockdown, so we obviously couldn't go. Hotel staff were very helpful and rebooked us for the 2nd November. This was our second spa break at this hotel. We have just had a super weekend. Covid precautions were very good. We were required to book time slots for dinner and breakfast and for the swimming pool. We all enjoyed a lovely massage. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, particularly Jane the receptionist, and considering they are working under very trying conditions. We are very much looking forward to returning in the future.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful building and grounds. Our apartment was sealed showing that it had been thoroughly cleaned. It has a good restaurant, spa, gym and two swimming pools with a lot more things to do on the grounds. I can't fault the place.

We haven't even got there yet and it looks like the worst hotel ever! I have been trying to call so many times and just being passed from one person to another and then no one answers the phone. Be aware if you are going with small kids, even though they pretend to be family friendly, they charge for cots. Cheapest hotel ever if you have to do that!

Unable to stay as closed due to covid 19 and you are refusing a refund or to change the date. How can you charge for a service you are not providing. All I received back was an impolite and unhelpful email from one of your staff.

The hotel and spa is a real haven with the gardens leading down to the river. Great staff and services … especially the leisure centre.

I had a surprise visit here for my 70th birthday, I loved every minute! The rooms were clean and very comfortable and every one of the staff were amazing! Professional, polite and fun. Highly recommend!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. It was dreamlike! There’s so much history that you can just feel it. The gorgeous manicured grounds make it difficult to leave. Our apartment was very nice and so cozy. All the people we met were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a perfectly lovely holiday!

Great setting here with my family. The facilitates are of a high standard. Had an apartment in the manor house. Staff were helpful and polite. Had the breakfast option if booked on arrival it was £10. Definitely stay here again.

The grounds to walk around are lovely. Walk down to the view of the Solent is lovely and the to sit on the bench and watch the world go by is so calming and relaxing. Will definitely return. Kirsty and Darren Gittins.

Can't fault the place! Located in a beautiful setting (ideal for a wedding), child friendly, really nice accommodation, two pools (one inside, one out), and a bar that showed the Sky Sports football matches. All staff friendly and happy to go out of their way to assist with any inquiries we had during the week we were there.

We held our wedding reception at Elmers Court in September 2018, and would 100% recommend this venue for local weddings in Lymington. The venue is beautiful, with gorgeous grounds which look wonderful in our photos. The staff were brilliant on the day, and Lisa in the run-up was amazing, helping us ensure everything was prepared and to plan, helping the day to run smoothly. The food was delicious, and getting to have a taster a few months before was great, knowing exactly what quantity and quality of food was going to be served at the Wedding Breakfast. The day went perfectly and I look back on this day with such happiness that we got to spend it in such a beautiful venue. Would happily recommend to all future brides and grooms and we hope to return again soon. Mr & Mrs Thomas (08/09/2018)

Came for a spa overnight stay everything was great (drinks pricey) however was all fab. Fab reception on the spa front too you all made us feel very welcome thank you so much hope to visit again.

DO NOT GO TO THE SPA! Travelled a long way for a 21st birthday gift from my brother. As soon as we arrived we were told the pool was out of use! Instead they offered for us to use the outdoor pool which in 12 degrees weather was not quite luxury. They then proceeded to book us in 2 weeks later but told us our treatment times would be different as there would only be 1 beauty therapist. The facilities are dated, dirty and not what you would expect with their advertisement of a relaxing spa day! To make the situation worse the spa receptionists seemed clueless, lacked empathy and were not at a professional standard. We will not be going back to this 'spa', what a waste of a 21st gift voucher!

My spa day didn’t even happen they got everything wrong didn’t even book us if for my pregnancy massage and 2x full body so was offered 50 mins for 3.5 hours worth. They lady that is qualified for pregnancy wasn’t even in we confirmed twice and informed them I had arthritis so this was much needed. Wanted to take time off our facial as sorting this we had gone into our time. We didn’t stay for the day as I couldnt use many facilities being pregnant. Was promised a full refund this was two weeks ago! I have emailed so many times and made phone calls to be promised I will be contacted I haven’t! I am no closer to getting any money bk let alone compensation of any sort! Have now gone to macdonald themselves I hope they are more helpful then there staff at this hotel!

Well where to start… Me and my wife got married here on Thursday 27th September and we could not express enough how perfect our day was! Every little detail was perfect, every thing we asked them to do months ago they remembered. Nothing on the day was a problem, everything we asked them last minute was no inconvenience, the amount of comments we had off our guests regarding this amazing service was no surprise! We would like to thank Mark and Richard for running our …day to absolute perfection, they didn’t miss a thing. Also to the guys working on the bar in the evening and serving all the food, you guys were amazing too! Thank you again for making our day so good, we never imagined it could be that good and a lot of that is down to your hard work.

Rented apartment. Very well appointed, roomy, comfortable and clean. Good links into Lymington by two minute train journey and to the Isle of Wight by ferry. Lovely setting by the water.

Comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and good leisure facilities. Let down by poor bar and food choices in 2nd restaurant. If you want an alternative to the 'fine dining' restaurant you're better of going somewhere else. The Steak Bar is disappointingly expensive — a 2* experience at 5* prices (£18 for a large white wine! )

Good hotel room, if a little dated. I've stayed in better rooms for far less. Surroundings are breathtaking, breakfast left a little to be desired (Asda cafe comes to mind) and the bar ran out of beer at the wedding reception my sister booked. It was resolved, but really shouldn't have been something that happens.

We have just returned from a one night spa stay at Elmers court hotel for my mums 80th birthday. The hotel is beautiful, we had a lovely clean room with great facilities, the food & service in the restaurant was first class. I felt the spa could have been better, we all felt the treatments could have been slightly better and it was too hot in the spa building… I would definitely return but not use the spa.

Wifi isn't great. Phone reception is awful. Getting a taxi is hit and miss. Upside clean neat and tidy. Good breakfasts and generous well appointed rooms. Staff are quite good but could try harder. Question is value for money? Probably not if you want connectivity and OK if you want to ignore the modern world. Restaurant shuts at 9pm and that's not well advertised.

My husband booked a spa break for my birthday on Monday at this hotel and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. We arrived and decided to have a quick swim in the indoor pool before grabbing a bite to eat as our treatments weren't scheduled until late in the afternoon. The ladies changing rooms were OK, a bit tired but there were numerous lockers that didn't work in the men's changing rooms. We had a quick swim and went up to the restaurant to eat at around 11a…m. Our prosecco lunch was booked for 1pm so we thought we would just get something light to share. There were about 8 diners and 3 staff. The bar area was covered in dirty dishes and glasses. The staff weren't overly helpful and once we ordered a ham sandwich it took 45 minutes to arrive. Due to delay in our food we decided to move the lunch reservation to 2pm. We went back down for another swim/sauna and a walk around the grounds before returning to the restaurant at 1.55pm. Our previous food and drink dishes/glasses were still sitting at the table where we left them! We ordered our lunch and were given our glasses of prosecco. This time there were only about 4 diners and our food took an hour to arrive. We didn't see any staff while we ate, no one came to ask if we wanted another drink and when my husband went up to the bar to get drinks there were no staff so I was pleased I had a water bottle in my bag!

Stayed in the courtyard accommodation which was nice inside but in need of a lot of attention outside. No air-conditioning, so was very hot even with fan. Rather noisy as rooms on three sides and thin walls. Staff very pleasant but had trouble understanding dietary requirements even though pre-warned before arriving. Great location for trips out especially to the Isle of Wight as ferry terminal was just down the road.

This hotel is outstanding, it’s clean, safe, welcoming and overall top notch. There is plenty of parking, the rooms are excellent the bar, restaurant and gym are of the highest quality. The old part of the property is beautiful and the grounds are immaculate. The staff welcome is as good as I’ve had in the worlds top hotels. I love this hotel, they’ve exceeded my expectations and crucially whoever put the poor reviews on here, come back as it appears it was a one off. This stay has been faultless.

The few staff around were fantastic … hardworking polite and very helpful but… far too few of them for example 1 man trying to run the whole breakfast on a day when the hotel. Was full… clearing tables, setting tables, seating guests, taking tea and coffee orders, making tea and coffee serving tea and coffee taking and serving hot food orders… he was fantastic but at £18 each well below expectations. Bedooms are tired and shabby. The pool and sauna are also well overdue a refurbishment. The bars are poorly stocked and expensive. A request for Archers or malibu was met with an offer of vodka… There are much better cheaper hotels in the area… only stay here as a last resort would be my advice!

Terrible experience… I spent £60 on an "exclusive spa day for 2" and I could have gone to my local leisure centre for the same experience. The facilities look nothing like the pictures and were dirty. The outside pool was closed. We didn't get any robes. The pool was full of children and there were no chairs, you couldn't actually find anywhere comfortable to sit and you most definitely couldn't relax. I wouldn't come back here and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I went for the day to the spa and restaurant. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The facilities were clean and well looked after. In the restaurant, staff were polite and efficient and the food was yum! I will be going again.

Have been visiting since 1987 when we bought a Spanish timeshare there but had a gap of 20 years-ish this time. Very disappointed with the sports club bar, decided to close early so no teas/coffees… despite having a queue. Lad on sports reception good & helpful, he was surprised they'd closed too. Had to go over main house (raining hard) as nowhere else for drinks. Beautiful surroundings as always, plenty of bar staff — some far better at customer service than others! Not the place to stay with young children as they would be very bored. Lovely gardens, great views & very handy for isle of white ferry beside property.

Very disappointed with our experience at Elmers Court Hotel. We arranged a Spa trip for Easter which included overnight stay, breakfast a Spa treatment and use of the Sauna, Steam room, jacuzzi and pool. We arrived around 8pm and checked in at Reception. The staff member gave us the keys and directions to our room. When entering our room my partner and I were surprised to see two single beds. We booked a King room which this clearly wasn't. We called reception and told them that the room was wrong and they said they would find us another room. We were them escorted to a Family room which still wasn't a King Room, however it had a king size bed so we settled for that. After dropping our bags off we headed to the bar for food. The bar was unoccupied and we were stood waiting for 5-6 minutes. Staff members were approaching the bar to use the till but still no one served us. Eventually I asked if anyone was going to serve us as we'd been waiting 5 or so minutes. We then ordered food and drinks. Based on the service so far I decided to time how long our food would take to come out. In total it took 54 minutes and 21 seconds (sounds silly I know but I had a feeling this would take a while). Once the food came out we then had to ask for cutlery which took a further 5 minutes. I asked to speak to the Manager who basically just apologised and said they were busier than they expected.

Poorly organised, Bad customer service and not value for money
We stayed 17/03/2018, Went in to so Called steak restaurant at lunch as lady behind bar about food not been served okay bit odd, ordered drink took seat. Ask for rugby to be put on staff behind bar didn't know how to put TV's on. We worked it out and started watching rugby, 10 min later food came to table behind us! went back to bar to be served by another member of staff who then produced a menu! Ordered few bits scones for wife and tea. 4 scones turned up on a plate no cream no knife no jam nothing back to bar wait 5 min to be told oh sorry do this now. Any way that was within first hour. Went to restaurant in evening took seat at 7pm by half 7 we hadn't been asked for drinks order or food. Every one in restaurant was complaining 1 very young member of staff with clearly no guidance and an elderly member of staff who was trying to sort things out food was coming out wrong to wrong tables. We gave up at 830pm and ordered of just eat and went to see hotel manager, at time she had a cue of people complaining about poor service in restaurant, our food turned up from local Indian in 25 min. Took close to an hour to order in comparison. Sunday morning was same fiasco we ordered a simple pot of tea for breakfast lady was struggling so we first had coffee and apple juice eventually went and got some one else to bring me a pot of tea.

Nice hotel good clean rooms. Needs a bit of a refurb. Painting ECT. Pleasant grounds. Reception staff nice and friendly. Bar staff miserable as sin. Ran out of bitter so limited drink choice. Over priced drinks… wine. Over heard another guest complaining about being over charged for a meal. And I mean I do mean over charged. NOT somewhere I would go again but hey ho.

Mixed feelings about the hotel. The staff and hotel room and the dinner were perfect. 5 stars for that. The main house is absolutely beautiful, fires are romantic and grounds are impressive. The apartments are clean and well looked after. What lets the place down are the leisure facilities and spa. The pool is fine but cold and there isn’t a hot jacuzzi. The steam room is really dated and uninviting. The spa staff are hit and miss. Some of the girls are really polite and helpful and some seemed to be a bit bothered by our presence. But the treatments were very good. I guess coming here using a deal or a voucher is a good idea.

A nice country manor house, in a good location for Lymington. The staff were very helpful and friendly, The food in the main restaurant was very nice, and at about £30 for a three course meal, I found it good value for money. The swimming pool area is warm and clean. The main building is in need of a refurbishment in places. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Attended a wedding reception at this venue and it is very nice. The staff were very friendlyand the food they put on was lovely. My only issue is that they could have put more than one person on to serve at the bar, but the one man did a great job.

Well situated with easy access to the New Forest. Appartment in main Manor House is very large and comfortable. Pool is good — all in all recommend as a place to stay.

Attended for a wedding. The venue was beautiful, the food was very good too. The room was lovely but the bathroom could do with an update. We also had an opportunity to use the pool before we left which was lovely but a lot of the lockers were broken. I would recommend the venue though.

Lovely venue, food was on point and rooms were impeccable, drinks quite expensive (£8 for the cheapest glass of wine! ) but still a lush venue by the sea!

Lovely hotel with amazing well kept gardens. Indoor and outdoor pool plus steam sauna and jazzuci. Breakfast was 1st class. Loved it.

Visited for a spa day with a full body massage. Great setting but a little tricky to find the spa itself within the grounds, some better signage would help! Treatment rooms and relaxation rooms very nice but pool is a little dated and not very relaxing with kids everywhere and not many seats. Jacuzzi is also part of the main pool so not very warm. Nice sauna and steam room though and good clean changing and shower facilities. Great massage and nice friendly staff.

Hotel function bar had pumps mixed, so coke with lemonade and two different lagers also mixed! Food spread was good. Unable to comment on rooms as didn't stay overnight.

Visited for use of leisure facilities. All great. Pool a good temperature and deep enough for a good swim. Sauna and steam room available at no extra cost.

The hotel was beautiful. Beautiful building and stunning views. They put on a well thought out event that run smooth. Although during the evening the drinks prices where crazy expensive.

The hotel is very pleasant in its appearance. There are the normal quirks of a New Forest hotel. Our visit was for a father's day massage and spa day. My wife also had a massage. The masseuse was very courteous and very good at massage. There was a glass of fizz we were meant to receive which we was not mentioned but as I was driving it wasn't too big a deal. We then spent time in the spa and the outside pool. The indoor pool area contains the steam room and sauna. Both of which were perfectly serviceable. The pool was pleasant. However there was a lot of little things that could have been mended very simply. Cracked safety glass above the sauna steam room fire exit, a number of ceiling tiles were dislodged or damaged and there is other little things that simple maintenance would solve. The outdoor pool however is fabulous only one spare lounger but I was in the pool the whole time. Not our first visit and we pop back now and then. Overall a very good experience.
