Very friendly staff, lovely chilled out, fun atmosphere. Excellent service & the steak & ale pie is the best ever. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

What an amazing hidden gem of a place. Daryl and Ian are so welcoming. Amazing atmosphere and can't wait to be back xxx.

Great food, friendly staff only downside if any the smoking staff in the bear garden ment all we could smell was smoke while we eat.

Warm welcome and a cosy pub. Bar meals looked gorgeous but we'd already eaten.

Popped in here with the family to have a break from the sun after been at the river festival. They had 2 tv's blasting daytime television at opposite ends of the pub, the noise was awful because they weren't in sync, my wife asked for glass of water with her half lager and barmaid didn't offer any ice or even bother to run the tap a few seconds. Drank up and moved onto the white swan which was much better.

A gem of a place tucked away between Ely street and the NCP multi storey car park on Rother Street Market — Also available are fantastic rooms FOR a overnight stay in Stratford upon Avon book early to avoid disappointment as I have found to my cost for this weekend as he was fully booked — PLUS.! Probably the Best beer garden IN Town / oh and I forgot to mention the " REAL ALES " Ciao xoxox Kevin.

Have just stayed there staff very friendly and our room was fabulous loved it great location.

Wonderful atmosphere excellent service and very tasty food staff were polite and very helpful can't praise them enough. Our families first time in Stratford and we were lucky to find this jewel.

Fantastic! We stayed for 2 nights and had the most amazing time. Friendly staff who make you feel welcome and part of a family! Will definitely go back again!

Not a nice experience really the room was very basic we had one little bulb that worked in a very dusty bedside lamp no other lights in the room worked so hard work getting ready to go out on new years eve. We told the owner he thought it was funny and replied in the old days you had to use candles! Yes they did I replied but they never got charged £110 for a room… we paid extra for breakfast and was told because it's new years day it would be served from 9.30am, that's fine so we went to get breakfast the place was locked up no one was there. They hadent even got out of bed to cook guests breakfast after standing out side for about fifteen mins a cleaner arrived we decided not to stay for breakfast as it wasent even started, we had to ask for our money back, which we had paid for the breakfast, so the boss sent the cleaner out with the money and to say sorry. I know it was new years eve but no excuse at all and it was a treat for my new years day 65th birthday from my sister. Shamfull.

I won't mince words. On a visit to Stratford upon Avon earlier this year I had the misfortune to encounter a man who claimed to be the landlord of this gaff. And he was the rudest, vilest and most aggressive little old person I've ever met! He seemed to think he could bar my exit, trap me inside and berate me some more for having the nerve to enter his premises without giving him custom. I was frightened by his behaviour but, fortunately for me, quicker than he was to the door! So in all — not a kind of hospitality I can recommend, and there are many better places nearby.

Stayed here a few times now and have to say the Geoff, Carol & Dan are the perfect hosts. Fantastic rooms, superb beer & lovely food. This is the best kept secret in Stratford — 5 stars for me every time.

Food was good and came out pretty quickly after ordering. Landlord and landlady were very friendly. Praise to the young lad serving food-very polite and kept checking if we needed anything! Only critisisms would be lack of a children's menu (although waiter did say they could do a smaller portion of adults menu) as it might encourage more families to come in for food if they see a children's menu available and service behind bar was very slow even though it was quiet. Other than this, would recommend and will definitely return next time we're in Stratford!

Had a fabulous 2 night stay, Carol and Jeff are perfect hosts really friendly and welcoming, within 10 minutes of arriving we where chatting away like old friends.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone requiring a relaxing stay in the heart of Stratford Upon Avon.
