If you like ribs, chicken, wings and beer this is the place for you. Food is good and the atmosphere is great as long as you like sports. That said its not rammed down your throat although they have some amazing big screen tv. The boss lady Miss T is keen for you to have a great evening and so you should. Open 11am to 12.00 pm, clean fun and good value. Enjoy.

Clean hotel! And very friendly staff! The hotel is very modern, the reception area is really nice! Car park charge is a good price to us, £10 per 24 hours. Our room was just what we needed. Bed and all towels were clean, they smelt clean. In fact the whole hotel smelt clean, through the corridors and the lift etc. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel nor dinner as only about 5 mins up the road there’s a harvester and Toby carvery if you want! Will definitely be stopping here again, especially when we have an early or late flight because the free shuttle service looked good! (We only came to do plane spotting)

Free shuttle to the train station is great, nice breakfast although beans are always cold. Rooms could do with a refresh but we had a pleasant stay.

I spent the night because I had an early flight out of Birmingham. 2 days prior to my reservation there was a tropical storm threat so I contacted the hotel to make sure if I was there when it hit, I could stay longer if needed. From that very first contact I found everyone exceptionally helpful. The epitome of "southern hospitality". When I arrived I was very impressed with the entire facility. My room was clean and comfortable, the food at the in-house restaurant was more than acceptable and a welcome change from a busy week. I make this trip a couple of times a year and I will definitely stay there again.

Good location and not far from the station. Food provided but not enough pastries in the morning. I assume that was organised by my business this way. Not sure to be honest. Everything else satisfactory.

My band played in the Lancaster suite at the weekend. Great venue — spacious, stylish and friendly, helpful staff. Only negative was the price of the bar food — £9.50 for a club sandwich with a few crisps and a garnish (couldn't really call it a salad)!

Great convenient location the hotel had excellent facilities and the bed was very comfortable. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and approachable. Can highly recommend this placed to stay.

Room was good size and clean. Breakfast was also not bad. Though if you are a light sleeper be aware of planes taking off as right next to the airport.

Great venue, the staff go out of their way to help you to run a successful day, Cheryl is a brilliant host too! well placed for easy access a great venue.

Room was not so clean it ain't 5 star but does what it's supposed to! Tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. Small bathroom, nice hot shower. Fresh towels daily, car parking is slightly dodgy. Overall you get what you pay for, I didn't come to Birmingham to be sitting in a hotel room so it suited my needs — a place to sleep that's clean with parking and close to the city.

From start to finish staff were very attentive. The gym is limited but kit is decent. Swimming pool area is very nice. Had a nice room and breakfast was good. Well impressed.

Convenient and comfortable Hotel. Clean rooms, small bathrooms. They have a pick-up service at the airport transfer to the hotel and vice versa free.

Stayed here before a flight from Birmingham International. Very close to Christmas and they seemed a bit short staffed. Took 20 minutes to check in as the receptionist was busy taking phone calls as well as dealing with customers. Small bar/Starbucks on site. Plenty of parking, which was free when we stayed. Very convenient for the airport and room was comfortable and quiet.

Amazing customer service. We arrived to the heating on in our room and a baby cot ready for our newborn. The manager was particularly helpful and funny! Due to the restaurant being closed, we were given discounted food. However this had no reflection on the amazing food. We had a perfectly cooked steak and a yummy chocolate pudding, which we would have happily have paid full price for the quality. We would highly recommend and we are looking into re booking a night before our next holiday. Cost for accommodation and parking for 2 weeks is very reasonable. Thanks Zoe and Ben.

If you are passning passing through Birmingham airport, BHX, then you have a few choices of hotel both on and off-site. One of the best value one's are the Holiday Inn Birmingham airport which located about 10 minutes from the airport and they have a complimentary shuttle bus from Birmingham international train station which you get to via the monorail at the airport. The follow the signs for the buses and walk through the cab rank to the bus shelters. The hotel is located just if the motorway for easy access and has a good size parking. The rooms has an older decor and missing convenient power sockets, however the rooms are well planned and have ample storage. The bathrooms are small but functional. There is a good size gym and a small business centre next to the lobby. There is a nice restaurant with reasonable prices and a bar. The rates are often good which makes it food for stopovers. Overall a good budget hotel close to the airport.

Food was great, office facilities were good. Location is great and near major roads. Staff were polite and helpful.

Great location. Shuttle bus to the station meant a short walk to the arena. Great food. Nice clean room. Would recommend.

Rooms were well appointed and clean. Staff were friendly, beds comfortable, complimentary shuttle very timely. Pool area was lovely, though changing areas could be cleaner. Restaurant was a bit slow but food was delicious. Breakfast selection was not quite as nice as anticipated but certainly satisfactory.

A recently refurbished hotel within easy access of the NEC and airport. The hotel has 2 restaurants but can be very busy. The car park is a nightmare at times and the rooms although soundproofed externally suffer from corridor noise and a lack of plugs next to the bed. On the plus side the rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped!

Good location and easy to get to. Parking usually crowded but quite bit. Good place for business/social meetings, although the food could be better.

Very pleasant staff and a lovely interior. The outside of the building betrays the looks inside. The rooms were fairly standard but clean and bright so nothing to complain about. The cafe/bar was comfortable and the food in the resteraunt was very good. Free Wi-Fi and nice staff made it an enjoyable stay.

Location was a 10 minute drive or a 50 minute walk, not great for an airport hotel. Rooms were okay, beds were extremely soft which sunk in the middle. Bathroom could have done with a good once over with some bleach. Had dinner at Marcos restaurant, it was one of the worst carbonaras I have had (two bits of overcooked and lukewarm steak bacon on top of pasta covered in a cream sauce does not make a carbonaras) and the chocolate brownie was pure stodge.

Convenient location, pleasant staff and reasonable facilities, but prone to issues with the food. Attended professional events twice recently where they just can't deliver what they promise. Shame really.

Arrived early, had lunch, check-in was delayed like a lot (over an hour waiting to be served after eating lunch longer than check-in time), we were over-charged (double! ) from booking price upon checking out which lucky was noticed moments before leaving for airport. Staff were pleasant at all times and difference in cost was refunded but only after I challenged the charge.

A nice hotel with contemporary decor, good sized modern bedrooms and clean bathroom. Dining is Marco Pierre White with tasty reasonably priced meals. The bar area is welcoming, spacious and a wide variety of drinks. Staff are friendly and helpful. Minibus runs every 30 minutes to and fro between the hotel and Birmingham International station, with link to the airport.

Nice hotel, good quiet pool and reasonable fitness club. I was the only person in the pool both nights. Not a massive pool but enough for a good workout and good to have it too myself. Fitness room a bit busier but again reasonable — bike, cross trainers, treadmills, multi-gym and free weights. (Guess you can see my priorities for a business hotel are, especially as I spend so much time in them! ) Good breakfast too with excellent porridge. Only disappointment was the Marco Pierre White American Italian Restaurant. Nothing wrong with it but I was expecting something special and it wasn't. I think this hotel will become one of my regular haunts while working in Birmingham but I'll bring my own food!

Stayed at the hotel for a birthday party in one of the function rooms. Food was well prepared and the staff friendly. The rooms was clean with plenty of towels and the shower good. The pool and jacuzzi were both clean and in good working order. Breakfast was excellent and again the staff were professional and friendly.

Clean, tidy but tired looking rooms. Whilst the reception, bar and restaurant all look new the rooms look 10+ years old and in need of a remodel. It would be nice to have power sockets by the bed as well. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and seemed to genuinely want you to have a good day. I'd definitely stay there again, but my stay would be better if the rooms were updated.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was small but clean and well situated, the hotel was busy but my room was quiet and I didn't hear any noise from the roads or airport nearby. The receptionist "Ruby" was enthusiastic, efficient and knowledgeable with a genuine smile and warm personality. I had an issue that I had included car parking onto my room but couldn't get out of the car park as my ticket wouldn't work, Ruby sorted this out and made me smile despite me stomping into reception with a mood on. Holiday inn… Sort out an easier system for the car park… And be grateful you have such nice staff… Also we were served by an apprentice at reception week I cant remember his name as I was tired from my long journey but he was also a credit to your hotel.

It was a great place. Clean and tidy. However the receptionist was rather rude and our bathroom door in our room didnt close. But other than that a great stay.

Really nice comfortable rooms, turndown service daily and just an overall lovely stay. Car parking is slightly faffy however.

Ridiculously noisey — planes, road noise some sort of generator constantly running. Beds are soft, pillows are lumpy and the room temperature control doesn't seem to do anything. Nice food from the bar but as expected it's pricey £12.50 a burger. £9 to park your car overnight. Pay extra and stay somewhere better.

Thoroughly mediocre, very poor service from the receptionist, get to my room about 6pm and it's still messy from the previous guests. Call reception to have it fixed, nothing happens so I have to bother the housemaid who's busy cleaning other rooms to sort mine out. Awful service overall considering the cost of the hotel.

Room a little tired. Heating appeared not to be working and had to get a heater from room services. Tap in bathroom only produced warm-hot water — no cold for drinking. There is a green light in the corner of the room which you cannot turn off, which doesn't help sleeping. Breakfast is good and the staff friendly.

Everything was lovely, room very clean and nice looking, bed very comfortable. There was no noise at all from the airstrip so I was fine with that. Breakfast was also amazing. Only thing I would say is that my room & bathroom floor was cold for a bit but I sorted it out just fine. Excellent stay!

Had lunch and meeting there, didn't stay. Customer service was exceptionally slow, stale sandwiches wildly overpriced. You don't even get a whole sandwich. 2/3rds of one. Standard Holiday Inn fare really.

Great staff, rooms really good. Bar staff were a let down, over an hour for 1 fish and chips and way over priced for what you get.

I really don't know what some people want for their money. I arrived with a party of 18 people to attend a wedding at the National Motor Cycle Museum, situated a very cheap taxi ride away. The rooms were a surprise, as reading reviews I did not expect them to be as well decorated and appointed. For people who are interested the Hotel has Wi-Fi in all areas and we all found the bar to be reasonably priced. The staff were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble and our taxis and newspapers were arranged very quickly. In the morning the breakfast staff were numerous and polite and the food was first class, including continental and English breakfasts. It was a buffet arrangement, so people, like myself with large appetites were amply satisfied. For the money we paid I have not stayed in better and would recommend this hotel.

Arrived on the 10th of January with my girlfriend, 1st room we were given stank of weed, was grudgingly moved when we complained about the stench in the room, 2nd room was a let down, don"t know what was worse the stench room or this one (room 228), dampness in room (black mould), and the mould that was on the shower head was nothing short of a disgrace and health hazard, photo graphic evidence was taken on our mobile phones, Enviromental Health should and may be involved. Sent an email of our complaint to hotel when we got home and got no satisfaction, for a place to charge £98.50 a night to stay is a total disgrace.

Pretty basic. Bathroom is pokey, room window faces 2 multi storey carparks, and the drinks are ridiculously priced! Woow at least I can see the planes taking off.

Spent a night here for motorbike show, food expensive and drinks ridiculous 14.50 for smurnof ice, larger and a coke. Rooms ok but could hear lift all night.

Perfect place to stay before flying, the bar staff were friendly, the beer was nice. My sleep was pretty good and so was breakfast (I did eat too much though! ). A good way to start your holiday in my honest opinion, will be booking again for next years hols.

I often stay at Holiday Inns in the UK and I would recommend them in general as being good places. This was my first time at the Birmingham Airport one and, alas, they let the rest of the chain down. Good points: nice rooms, nice swimming pool, good location, friendly staff Bad points: charged £60 more than they were meant to (and a week later I’m still fighting to get the refund, to no avail), massively understaffed so long queues for everything, including check-in (one of the staff there that I spoke to was quitting as fed up of always being alone), need to phone 20 times before anyone answers, poor quality English language skills (the glossy printed menu in the restaurant always spelt ‘bacon’ as ‘beacon’ and ‘rump’ as ‘rumb’, massively overpriced restaurant, room strongly smelt of BO, none of the promised amenities in the room were there (luxury toiletries, bathrobe, slippers, bottled water, chocolate, orange juice; not even enough cups for coffee), Jacuzzi was lukewarm and didn’t bubble. It’s a shame, it’s a good chain, but the management in this one need a right good shaking up.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and pleasant, but the food was expensive and not what you'd expect for the cost — the breakfasts were fairly unpleasant. The grapefruit was a welcome palate cleanser.
