The food at the bar and restaurant were nice. Shower wasn't the best, but did the job. Overall had a very pleasant experience and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be staying here again.

Just had a golf break, all amenities are great unfortunately due to COVID the bars were very busy but the staff, all of them, restaurant, reception and the housekeeping really helpful and managing to stay cheerful and helpful throughout. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Second time we’ve stayed here now. Once when we went to the NEC on our own and again on our way to York with the children. Great deal. Good sized spa facilities. Quiet peaceful location inside and out. Good choice of food. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, staff so friendly, great with kids, food nice. Pool was perfect for the kids to splash about and topped it off with a go on the driving range, great stay. Would def come back.

I had a £25 massage voucher given to me on my birthday. The Forest of Arden was the closest place to redeem it so I booked a 45 minute massage (for which I still had to pay an extra £25). I arrived early but was still kept waiting for 10 minutes after the booked time. The room was cold and although I made sure my hair was well out of the way, the masseuse made sure she ran her hands through it a number of times during the massage. I had to wash it twice and it was still disgustingly oily. Most masseuses are careful to keep your hair away from the oil as it's a most unpleasant feeling but she deliberately ran her hands through it. I checked my phone after she'd finished and even though I'd taken a few minutes to get dressed, it wasn't even 45 minutes and she'd started late. It was nearer to 30 minutes for a £50 massage. I paid at the Spa reception, but got stopped on the way out and asked if I'd paid — when I said yes, I felt like they didn't believe me. It wasn't a luxurious or relaxing experience at all. Quite disappointed and wouldn't go back for another treatment.

We had our wedding at the Forest of Arden over the weekend and could not fault them! From the moment we booked to the wedding day charlotte was amazing and so helpful. Stefan who was our organiser on the day was brilliant, no request was too big. And he was so helpful and thoughtful to all our guests. They thought of everything — including keeping a slice of cake from each layer for us to take home. Thank you again for everything!

Wonderful service from all the staffs. (receptions, caretakers waitress cleaning staffs Ect Foods was delicious. And the environment is clean and children friendly. I came here for a wedding events. Beautiful scenery. Thank you to Forest Arden Marriott. For making my stays so comfortable.

Me & my husband got married here on Saturday and it was perfect from start to finish.
The staff were all so friendly & helpful, nothing was a problem and they were always ready to help.
The food was absolutely amazing, even all of our guests were happy with the food & service they received. The bedrooms were all lovely and clean too!
We would highly recommend The Forest Of Arden, and we can’t wait to stay here again.

Overall stay was fine, breakfast was spot on and room good. Disappointed the jacuzzi is out of order indefinitely which wasnt told to us at booking or check in specially when your paying the full going room rate. Also when checking out the receptionist didn't ask how our stay was and was also on the phone while trying to usher our room cards from us which was bad customer service.

Very poor service. I have tried calling and booking several times to arrange an outing for my clubs scratch team to celebrate their promotion this year. No joy with packages asked for. No emails or calls as promised. Going somewhere else.

I went for a friends wedding, was horrid. Waited over 3 hours for food after everything was set up, not a lot of food but they at least paid 450 quid. Breakfast was rubbish and overpriced. Overall, id rather go to a 3 star hotel and it would be better.

Went for a wedding lovely settings and surroundings. Staff were helpful had a brilliant night. Rooms and Breakfast were a good standard too and a reasonable price! 5

Attended a wedding here and stayed overnight with 2 small children. Hotel grounds and staff were lovely and the food was delicious. Deluxe double Room was spacious if a little dated but had all the amenities necessary for a short stay with a family. I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a beautiful area all surrounded by green fields but overall I was not happy with my stay. The hotel is overpriced and the rate doesn't even include breakfast! I was shocked when they told me I would have had to pay an extra 16.50 pounds for breakfast. When I check out I was presented with a bill of over 1.300 pounds for 2 nights stay which included over 800 pounds drinks and room service which were not mine and did not come off my room. I understand now why the room rate is so high, I am guessing some smart guests ask to put their bill on somebody else's bill. The person at the desk was nice but certainly they could have at least proposed a discount for the heart attack they caused me with that fake bill. I would not recommend this place overall.

Upmarket golf club, hotel and restaurant. We have friends and family who are members of the health club. We went for food. They have a deal on burgers and a bud for £15. Other items on the full menu. It's not going to be cheap at a place like this but very nice. Food was very tasty. Football was on for the world cup.

Standard hotel. Rooms are tired, bathroom wasn't great. Food is nice though and it's decent value for money relative to other hotels when we booked last minute. The grounds and golf facilities look very nice.

Arden course outstanding, Aylesford really good and provided some relief between 2 rounds on the Arden! Accommodation very good and food excellent. Bar has very strange policy of not letting you use cash or card after 10 or 11 in the evening, but still reasonable prices. Superb venue.

Tough course. Some great holes, difficult greens. A lot of geese! Good sized leisure facilities — refurbished sauna. Great breakfast — would definitely go back.

Golf Day with Work. Tough course that really makes you think. In good shape at the moment. Hotel staff professional and pleasant. Sadly major credit cards problems causing issues when there otherwise would have been 5 stars.

This hotel is situated in a lovely area surrounded by acres of land with a golf course in site. The room was comfortable as was the bed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic.

The location was ideal it was not far from the main motorway networks but at the same time it felt completely rural. The service when arriving was extremely professional and the meet and greet same. The room was ideal and furnished with originality in mind. The information provided regarding the location was very comprehensive and what I did like was the breakfast sitting arrangements, you were not seated on top of each other and you can hold private conversations without the worry of people being in ear shot. We will definitely visit again in the not too distant future.

I attended a meeting at the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the food is great. The bacon rolls were generous in portion and I enjoyed lunch. Well kept and clean. Great location.

It is 00.36am. I am now at the Crown Plaza after astonishing treatment by his hotel. Booked this hotel yesterday and have formal confirmation by email. Arrived at the hotel just after 11pm to be met by a very unprofessional front desk manager who said the system had crashed and there is no room. Despite having called the hotel an hour before where they confirmed my staff in conjunction with my email confirmation. Atul Kankrej is probably THE worst customer service representative I have ever seen in my personal and business career as a solicitor. Travelled two hours, had a booking confirmation and a call to confirm my stay and was told they have had a system error and they are launching an investigation as to what happened. Atul said he could point me in the direction of the Hilton Coventry with no assistance and miles from where I was intended to be. Atul remained smug at all times and left me stranded. A formal complaint to follow. Please do not stay here it is a sheer disaster waiting to happen and if you want to be kicked when the chips are down Atul is your man who came up with no solutions after their error. Wow.

Gourmet buffet dining. Starters and desserts were great, but mains were a bit plain. Vegetarian options were limited. Location and atmosphere was lovely.

Excellent room and facilities but had to wait for room to be ready and was missing things we requested.

Booked a spa day here for my daughter and I.
We arrived around 10.45am as confirmation directly from hotel website said arrival from 10am. When we finally found the spa they said our treatments were booked for 10am so we had to show paperwork that didn't give treatment times just arrival from 10am for spa! The girl did at first say they were fully booked but after I made it clear we had no time confirmed she did accommodate us with two separate times for our treatments. We then asked if we could have our cream tea which was included in the spa day at 2pm as we would like to use the pool and facilities and she said yes no problem. During our treatments no-one was on the spa desk so we couldn't check out any details ask for further details or treatments and check where we needed to go for our swim (pool nice but Jacuzzi was unbearable as chlorine burned your eyes! ) and cream tea. After 10 mins of going to the cafe by pool the staff there directed us to the main restaurant who tried to direct us back to the cafe. Finally she came out and said out cream tea was booked for 1pm and we had missed it! I inisited it was asked for 2pm so she spoke to chef and he agreed to make it for us food was lovely but at no point did we see any spa staff after our first two treatments and the hotel is very big and confusing so would have felt nice to be shown where we needed to be after all it was supposed to be a relaxing day after all!

This is the 5th time I have stayed at the forest of Arden on a golf break. Rooms very good. Dinner in the evening was a buffet which was good. Zest bar needed more staff when golfers coming in after playing. Waited 20 mins to be served. One member of staff stood out from the rest Narindar who worked on the bar in the evening and then at breakfast. He was very efficient and some of the other staff could learn from him. Overall a pleasant stay.

It was a beautiful hotel. The rooms nice and clean. And the staff were very helpful. Also their buffet breakfast had almost everything you could think of.

We had a deluxe room, dread to think what a standard room was like. Room felt small and claustrophobic mainly due to the sloping ROM in the room. The windows were old and didn't fit too well, the double glazing had blown resulting in being unable to see out too well and making the room really cold. Room was clean no complaints there, breakfast was good. Swimming pool was a nice area but half the lockers were broken so struggled to find somewhere to store my clothes and there was no labels in the showers for water temperature etc. Overall not the amazing experience with was expecting for over a £100.

Lovely room. Prosecco on arrival. Staff helpful and friedly. The restaurant staff are amazing. Led by Sogand they exude happiness and genuine pleasure. Super food for dinner and breakfast. Omelette to die for. Well done all of you. Thanks.

Attended an event as an exhibitor at this hotel yesterday. Unfortunately, the exhibition was laid out in the Marquee which was freezing cold. So cold in fact that most catering staff were wearing their winter coats. This marquee should have never been rented out at this time of year and I felt very sorry for the organisers of the event. I tried to warm up in the main part of the hotel but this was not much warmer. The food was disappointing, too. During the mid morning coffee break yogurt was served, which really didn't help in the cold weather and some of which was savoury. Only found this out when eating it as the sign explaining what is was appeared approx. 30 mins after the food. Lunch was a bit better, but desserts were only laid out on one of the two tables so half the room didn't realise that there were any desserts.

Set in lovely grounds and we were made very welcome at reception. Room exceptional for the price they charge. Spa facilities very good. Enjoyed a relaxing swim before a large breakfast. There was a bit of a commotion in the corridor in the early hours but the staff dealt with this in a professional manner and we were duly compensated. Will definitely book here again.

A very good choice of hotel. Many levels higher than the normal commercial hotel. Rooms are so relaxing, Wi-Fi is included and your made to feel welcome the moment you step in the door. Conference suites are well suited and the food, excellent throughout the stay.

We chose to stay here based on its proximity to the NEC, which we were visiting over 2 days (3 nights at the hotel). We were attracted by the spa facilities and rural location. The reality of the spa pool was that a lot of young kids were occupying it when we wanted to use it. Kinda off-putting as we were hoping to relax after a day traipsing around the exhibition. My wife accompanied me and she's disabled. I'd requested a room with a suitable bathroom, but this had been ignored. The room we got was a fair distance from reception despite it being obvious that my wife uses crutches to walk… We used the restaurant for our first evening meal and used room service for our second. We felt both were extremely over-prices for the quality on offer. Breakfast had a good selection, though. Hot and cold buffet, plus plenty of cereal, pastries, and bread choice. The room itself, for what we paid, was no better than a Premier Inn in standard and layout. No mini bar/fridge, which was surprising. I gave it 3 stars as I feel we didn't get good value for money.

A giant red brick monstrosity of a hotel, kicking myself for not having a picture. Stayed as part of a New Year family break and it served it's purpose but left everyone feeling less than treated. Staff were nice but disinterested and certainly didn't make you feel they had any interest in guests having a special time. Heating broke down so cold showers one morning. I'm afraid nothing about this hotel other than it's price would make me book it again but a classic case of "you get what you pay for".

Went there on a works away day and I'd say the place was very nice. The room was good and got a great nights sleep on the bed. Food at the restaurant was also nice and good.

Had a great stay at the Marriott Forest of Arden with family & friends to see the new year in. We booked a New Year’s Eve gala package in the Arden suite and everything went so smoothly from check in to finish for our party. Check in was so organised and we were offered a welcome drink on arrival. The hotel was extremely busy throughout our stay but the service we received from everyone was fantastic. Light bites in the afternoon were amazing we all really enjoyed them and the NYE dinner dance was a fantastic evening with great food and entertainment throughout the night into the early hours. Breakfast was extremely busy on New Year’s Day but the hotel dealt with it very well again. Food was freshly cooked and service again fantastic. On check out we were offered bottles of water for our journey home which was a nice touch and as we left the hotel it was pouring with rain, Phillip the porter offered my hubby an umbrella and suggested he go and get the car and bring it up to the entrance for us.
A special thanks to Charlotte Eborall who organised our party booking for us and dealt with all our dietry and room requests. All was perfect. Rooms were lovely and everything we requested we got, so a big thank you for that. The gala dinner was such a great evening and our gluten free members of our party were well looked after. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, it is in a beautiful location.

Nice hotel, not so near to the airport as some but it did the job. Food was nice Staff were really great chef even cooked even though it was way past room service hours so that was a treat. Only downer is the decor is very dated but has the big screen TV if that counts for amything.

Not really worth a Marriott level, more Courtyard level. Bit dated. Poor room service food quality (and choice). No fridge or mini bar in room, even in "premium" rooms. Bathroom needs badly an upgrade. Spacious rooms though. Room temperature set via a radiator the, no airco.

Room was nice and of usual Marriott standard. We attended a Christmas party event here. Food was good for a mass catered event. I did however find some of the waiting staff rude, other staff members however were friendly and professional. Not sure if I would book for another Christmas event however wouldn't hesitate to use the hotel again as a standard guest.

Great location and nice looking hotel. Bit of trouble with card refund which was partly my fault but became a long drawn out process and still not resolved. Nice friendly staff though.

We used the location for a business meeting in one of the meeting rooms. We had no issues & the room had the relevant tools to conduct a meeting. The buffet lunch was good. The coffee is very bitter, avoid if you can. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Parking was ample. Would use for a meeting again.

Great Hotel. Was best man at a wedding here. The location is breath taking. Set in acres and acres of greenery. The bars are really good, and the foods amazing too.

I attended the hotel for a corporate event, the hotel is beautiful and picturesque. The staff were fantastic, the food delicious, everything was organised well. I had a throughly lovely experience.

Excellent Venue to Play Golf, Relax and Enjoy a comfortable stay. Although the whole place is scenic you cannot walk around and enjoy the places since people will be playing golf and there is lot of restriction for movement. There are two restaurant, a tennis court, a nice indoor swimming pool and leisure centre. There is also massage and spa available.

Stayed there for one night. On arrival very nice but walked in to my room and to be honest was very disappointed. Over £150 paid for bed only. Wi-Fi was extra, really! Bathroom tile grout dirty and stained. Fixed shower head with very little pressure. When rooms nearby used sinks etc water come up bath waste into bath. Pillows not the best to be honest and a noise all the time maybe from a water boiler or something. Apart from that it was ok. Breakfast was extra. At £12 bacon was like eating leather hash browns very dry. So, honestly not the best to be honest. Very disappointed.

Great place. Enjoyed all the amenities and biking the surrounding countryside! Work out facilities are nice.

Beautiful hotel set in glorious countryside. Our room was well equipped with a massive bed and TV. Staff were very polite and courteous and the breakfast the next morning was simply amazing.

Very nice location, good food and drink. Friendly and helpful staff. Would certainly stay there again. Just one thing to note is that it is a popular venue for big weddings which can end up feeling like they have taken over the whole place so for the non wedding guest the visit is not as relaxing as it might otherwise of been.

Typical large, impersonal hotel with some nice touches. Good pool with steam room and sauna. Breakfast is tasty but very busy. We ate in the bar and enjoyed our meals — the staff even brought out some little cakes with a candle when they discovered it was our daughter's birthday.

We got married here last August and the venue were absolutely brilliant. A special mention to Olivia who helped us all the way through and Stefan who helped to make sure the day went smoothly! We also stayed here and it was very comfortable. They had set our breakfast in a side room where we could spend it with all our guests (so we weren't sat in the main restaurant) which made us feel special!

Fantastic stay at the hotel. Bar staff really helpful and friendly especially David the bar manager who looked after us impeccably providing us with snacks and glasses of water when they were needed after a long session. David was really lovely and an asset to the reputation of the hotel.

Maybe the golf course is wonderful, but I'm not able to judge it. Wonderful nature, but the hotel services are lacking: Wi-Fi access at extra charge, a bubble bath for 3 people, no hair dryer, high mountain duvet.

The best thing about the hotel though was the staff. Everyone was very helpful, happy and attentive. Will definitely be returning.

2nd year I have visited for a conference, staff helpful but I did not feel service level matched the price for the room and bar prices were on the high side. The beautiful grounds and room were certainly well maintained.

Lovely hotel, lovely rooms, and helpful staff. However charging over £5.00for a pint of beer is a bit excessive, and a bit tight on portion size with food but the food was really very good.

Very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival the porter took our bags straight up to our rooms and surprisingly did not expect or wait for a tip and quickly left after showing us around the room. There is a swimming pool and small gym in the basement which is adequate but its advisable to use the pool in late evenings as it gets busy during the day. Breakfast is above average with a good spread of cereals, juices, hot drinks, toast, and hot breakfast options. There is also a communal lounge on the ground floor with power sockets available to charge your smartphones with a bar adjacent. There is free Wi-Fi throughout, however it times out very quickly if its not actively used. Streaming music for instance would cut out after just 10 minutes but browsing websites presented no issues. There was a wedding party in the hotel when we stayed and staff were helpful in locating us the best location away from the expected noise. Recommend a stay there even though a bit pricey.

Attended a technology roadshow. Hotel is situated in an idyllic although convenient location. Beautiful building with ample parking. Conference facilities are excellent and we were well looked after.

The hotel is in a beautiful and serene location. Staff are friendly and helpful, and do their utmost to help you.

Recently been a lot of problems with the boiler breaking down and the power going off. Until these problems are resolved I can't highly rate the hotel.

Lovely people but they are let down by slow operation and a poor overall experience. The restaurant is far to expensive for the quality and the rooms are nothing special.

Attended a conference here. Typical corportate hotel location — big, plenty of parking, large function rooms. Food was good, room comfy and quiet.

We bad a great stay from start to finish. Great service from friendly staff. The room had a huge comfy bed and a great view over the golf course. My wife used the spa which she said was great. We also had a meal which was excellent. The breakfast was top notch, they even have a waffle maker.

Food was awful. Beef in the stew was so dry and tough.

We have been back lots and we all love everything I think the pool is amazing RECOMMENDED.

Booked the hotel directly on their own website as they claim the cheapest price or they will match it and refund 25%. Turns out that this is an easy claim for them to make as they have no intention of honouring it. Upon providing them with a cheaper price that I found through Tripadvisor they refused claiming "currency exchange fluctuations" as an exclusion. This is despite it being a cheaper price in British Pounds for a hotel in Britain and charged in pounds on a British credit card. You can't have currency fluctuations when you only have one currency. Simply not willing to live up to their "guarantee" and making up any old tat as an excuse. Management pretended to look into this and simply abandoned communication. When pushed just repeated their initial magical single currency 'currency fluctuation' without addressing the facts. Stayed at hotel after cancelling and booking through cheaper offer and they have the gall to charge £15 a day for Wi-Fi access after coining over £100 for a room. Frontline staff are very good and courteous but food is extremely average and for the price of the hotel I would expect a lot better in terms of quality of both food and rooms. Won't be using a Marriott hotel again.

Lovely hotel, would recommend it.

I used this hotel for a conference and dinner. The hotel is beautiful and the surrounding grounds including the golf courses make you feel you are in the middle of nowhere although you are only 5 minutes drive off the M42. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating and the dinner we hosted for 160 people was great. Would definitely recommend and would use again for a similar event.

I recently purchased a Spa day for Two with a 25 minute each treatment for £69. My experience in spa was very poor. Me and my husband booked a treatment each. My husband was booked for Head and shoulder massage and I was booked for express manicure. The treatments and the spa is overrated for the amount I paid. I have been to so many other spa days with the treatments worth the money. I feel spa do not provide good massage and express manicure just include painting nails and do not include hand massage. Not happy with treatments and on top my voucher include tea on arrival but spa did not offer anything because we did not ask for it. Waste of money, waste of time and over rated. I will not recommend spa day for anyone.

I stayed in the Forest Of Arden on 10 April 2013. I stayed in a twin room. A Twin room in this hotel means 2 x 5ft double beds in a lovely large room with the normal TV (but large), bath/shower room and tea/coffee making facilities. Everyone is so friendly and if it isn't on the menu they will go and see if something can be done. Nothing is too much trouble. When I returned home I realised I had forgotten my mobile phone charger, so called the hotel. How many times have you called a Hotel to be told they couldn't find what you had left. Not here. The receptionist talked to the House Manager who confirmed the item had been found. I offered to pay the P&P but this organisation wouldn't have it and would post it first class next day. You won't go wrong with these people and all the better if you play golf or use the Spa. Highly recommended and well worth the money.

All the staff, without exception were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much effort. Buffet breakfast sets you up nicely for the day. Can't praise the staff enough :-).
