Lovely meal. Place and staff … but please please please … make the extra effort and provide Gluten free Yorkshire puddings … you have a fantastic gluten free menu but yet again the alternative is to remove and not replace … can easily provide a recipe and believe me thay are far superior to standard ones … and im a yorkshire man … other than that an absolute diamond of a place.

Possibly the nicest Staff have had the pleasure to meet and top notch Chef. Without a doubt, we wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stayed in accommodation and ate in.

Had a Meal here last night and have to say was probably some of the best food I have eaten in a long time! Will defo be going back! Steve and the team were great! Top marks from me!

Awful experience — front of house is run by incompetent management. If your a local you seem to get priority treatment, outsiders can wait…. For very long periods to be served and you have to ask several times to get some degree of service. It’s a shame because the food is good. Appalling customer focus, when we queried the bill with regards a deposit we had already paid, the manageress shrugged her shoulders and walked off and left her local linch mob to abuse us as we left including our twelve year old daughter…. Nice touch Chequers! NEVER AGAIN!

Fantastic service, friendly staff and amazing food with great portion size.

A group booking however couldn’t fault the service and food, very attentive service and nothing too much trouble. Lovely food and atmosphere with beautiful decorations for Christmas.

Absolutely rude manager who essentially threw us out. Booked a big party for 12:30 in the restaurant. They initially said we could have the room for three hours. Days before they swapped it to two and half hours. Then they said we had booked for 12:00 even though we had proof we'd booked for 12:30. We'd barely finished our mains before they told us we now had it for two hours and there was no time for dessert. They even moved us out before the two and a half hours. Incredibly rude a manger who just shouted in our faces and was horrible to the whole group. We won't be coming back ever again.

Totally amazing food and excellent service! Been here for a week with work and have thoroughly enjoyed the stay but the food has been exceptional.

Ordered cocktails for home for my Husbands Birthday. Delicious and a great way to have a few drinks at home! All delivered ready made in jars with instructions on how to serve with ice and garnish included. Pornstar Martini’s were Will definitely order again! Thank you.

Awesome food, drink, setting and service!

En-suite rooms have incredibly comfortable beds, and fantastic rainfall showers to wake you back up again. The food, service and welcome are second to none and we look forward to returning in March for another, slightly longer, stay! Would, and have, heartily recommend for a short break with excellent food.

Just had the Chequers Roast Beef lunch today — marvellous would recommend it to the world & his wife. Well done Steve!

First visit today, all I can say is if I could give ten stars I would. Fabulous place. The place was really busy and the although the staff were working really hard they were still really friendly but at the same time efficient, nothing was too much trouble, well done all. The food was to die for. Beautifully cooked and generous portions. Have booked for Christmas Day lunch and cannot wait. Totally recommend.

Found this lovely pub during our 8 day stay at Dickley Court with a group of 14. The menu was excellent, the service spectacular and the atmosphere was amazing. We usually cook during our trips but not when we had this superb gem right down the street within walking distance. The staff didn't blink when the 14 of us showed up. We recommend everything. I believe we tasted all that was offered. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the veggie lasagna was creamy and full of delightful vegetables. There is a great selection of sides and I found I like peas … well, The Chequers at Burcot peas. Cheers Chef and Staff!
