Thank you so much for making our wedding the most amazing day🥰 I couldn't fault anything and Sue was absolutely amazing on the day as were the bar staff and everyone involved. A massive thank you to Laura aswell for helping us plan our special day😍 The guests loved the buffet food and everyone was saying how nice it was. I honestly could fault anything and will definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you ❤❤❤

Lovely clean room, air con working, bed comfy and four pillows!
Had a drink in the bar, overlooking the airport, pretty spectacular.
Unfortunately the restaurant was full, really helpful staff. Enjoyed a takeout in my room and the hotel provided a plate, knife, fork and napkins. Well done this is how to treat people, not what happened at a hotel I stayed in last week!
Staff offered to book a taxi for me in the morning and are just so super friendly. Especially the young lady on reception, with blonde hair and the Newcastle lass in the bar.

The staff at the holiday inn were polite and the restaurant staff were so helpful during breakfast they couldn't do enough for us thank you for making our stay pleasant and welcoming.

What a pleasant welcome … a complete perfect check in. Carla was an absolute star… once we had sorted the official requirements it was all smooth.

Very slow service, highly unorganised and only ever one person serving behind the bar leaving you waiting for ages. No table service. Staff always offhand. Lovely runway views though. Service needs improving.

I visited the restaurant for Sunday dinner, the food was devine and one of our party was gluten free and they could not be more accommodating. Our waiter Sam was the perfect mix of attentive and funny. It was my birthday and I was presented with a cake and the table was decorated which was a lovely touch. We just got married with the twilight package from the Holiday Inn Southend! I couldn’t recommend the service enough! Hayley, Sue and the events team really made our wedding day the most spectacular day ever. They are the most supportive, caring people I have ever met!
I would highly recommend any wedding at the holiday inn and we will certainly be returning every year!

First time here, very impressed by the service and all the amenities, very clean and so nice to sit in the bar watching the planes in comfort.

We have used their meeting room for offsite meetings many times and have always been pleased. The view towards the runway is great and the room is suitably insulated so there is no disruption when planes are passing. The furnishing and refreshment facilities are good enough but this is maybe the one area where some more quality would make this an even better space. Great location with parking too.

My daughter and I stopped here for 1 night. Overall we were impressed with it. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were clean. The decor was was quite modern and also very clean. We especially liked the runway view from the restaurant and our room, it's not often you can watch the planes take off at night while laid in bed. The window glass was thick enough to stop the noise of the engines as well so it was quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

So, so great. I loved it. Every convenience and very accommodating. Great bed, great food, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone. I can not be more happy.

Stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding. Located next to Southend Airport but noise is not an issue. Helpful staff. Fair prices. Location is not ideal if you want to walk into town however it's right next to Southend Airport Station and several bus routes.

Nice hotel very friendly staff. Quick check in. Plenty of parking. Beds are very comfortable. Room clean and functional. Good shower.

Ideal hotel to stay in if going by plane somewhere. Some rooms face the runway but no noise. Can stay and park car there while away. Easy walk with cases to Southend airport 10 mins at most. Doing offers on lunch 2 for £25 (2courses each). Offers on cocktails during happy hour 5.30 to 6.30pm (2 for £9.95). Enjoy your stay while the offers last.

Stayed one night in Superior room to attend birthday celebrations. So impressed with everything at this hotel. Staff do a wonderful job. They are friendly and helpful. Room was of a very high standard. Runway view room worth having. No noise diaturbance whatsoever and very comfortable bed. The buffet served was imaginative and delicious. Good dance floor and setting for the birthday venue. Will consider this for a future celebration myself!

Clean, comfortable beds and pillows, staff very helpful and polite. Excellent breakfast. We stayed seven days in a four and a half star hotel in spain and it was not as comfortable as the room we stayed in at Southend holiday inn. Will definitely use them again.

Had an excellent stay. The reception staff was very helpful and smily. Room is large and clean but it’s a shame windows cannot be opened. Top floor bar and restaurant offers great views overlooking the airport (only 2min walk away! ) Will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn again if I have to catch an early flight!

Stayed two nights as we had booked a wake there for our mum. Rooms excellent and so quiet… you would never know you were at the airport. Lovely restaurant with friendly staff and top quality meals in offer. The service was second to none. The venue was perfect for the wake. Lovely and bright and again, food was very nice.

We booked for a memorial breakfast for over 50 guests and the service was fabulous, the food was lovely and we had everything we asked for and more. The staffs were sensitive to the occasion and attentive. Thank you for helping to make it a Memorial Day.

This place was amazing. Beautiful rooms & they did a bonza job on my little sisters wedding. Loved the while experience.

Lovely hotel stay. Breakfast in resturant was nice. Bar food is good but a member of staff at the bar was rude which is a shame on others.

Not good at all… We arrived after a 4 hour journey from Birmingham with only 4 hours until our flight so wanted to just quick sleep. And when we arrived they didn't have our booking. Showed them our booking confirmation but that wasn't good enough and then our only option was just to pay again and try and get the money refunded at a later date. Not a good service and I would of expected more from a holiday in Jack.

We had to go to this hotel but there was a pbleme with the reservation they had assigned our rooms and so we moved into another not at all of the same short standing disappointed.

We went for the Xmas lunch and meet Santa experience here yesterday. We were a party of 6 adults 6 children and 2 babies in high chairs, from the moment we got there we were greeted by elves who made a fuss of all the kids and shown to our table, which was decorated lovely with Xmas crackers, childrens activity packs, party poppers and gold personalised tickets with the children’s names on to see Santa. Our 3 course meal was lovely as was the waiter Sam and the elves who kept coming in to chat with all the kids. After our meal an elf came and took us down to see Santa who was lovely and we had as much time as we wanted with Santa so went in as families instead of 1 large group the pressies were wrapped and name tagged and all the children got different presents and they were lovely presents — would recommend this and we will be going back next year. Fantastic value for money.

Always great service at this hotel. Had a late booking and there was an error but quickly resolved. Good bar and restaurant with views of the runways at Southend Airport. Lamb burger was delicious and a couple of pints. Can't fault it.

Fantastic hotel! Regular user. Always welcomed with a smile and staff remember us. Best of all this hotel is very dog friendly! Most rooms are very clean and hygienic but some are showing signs of wear and tear. Parking is expensive along with room prices but there are often special offers for reduced rates. Breakfast is very good with buffet style all you can eat.

Spotlessly clean room, excellent, quiet air con. We had a great night's sleep, followed by an excellent breakfast. The staff were very polite and helpful at all times. I would definitely use this hotel again.

So far so good. We are staying in the executive suite which is nice. Im not sure how the standard rooms fare. The staff work hard and are nice Thank you.

Seamless stay at this hotel. The place is really new so everything just works and is very modern. Staff are friendly and efficient too. The hotel also has corporate facilities and would be a good venue to host meetings or a mini conference.

I cannot recommend the Holiday Inn Southend enough! We had our wedding here on the 19th August 2017 and Hayley, Sue and the team were amazing from planning through to the day after our wedding
The communication was excellent and everyone who was part of the team on our wedding day were faultless and both myself and all the guests cannot sing their praises enough
The room which we had for 2 nights was spotless and had lovely views over the runway and all our guests complimented the rooms and breakfast the morning after

The restaurant was amazing. Went for a Birthday meal. The food was impeccable and so where the staff. The view we had by the window was also good looking out over the airport. Highly recommended. The menus had something for everyone as well.

We a very nice family room with great views of the airport. Very quiet and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Note there is normally a queue for breakfast after 9am on Sunday mornings so worth getting there a little earlier.

We visited with our puppy and had a brilliant response from the workers. They were very welcoming and helpful, also fell in love with our puppy. The housekeepers gave our puppy a spare towel to dry after getting caught outside in the rain. The room was beautiful and spacious, but they should consider removing the carpet as it is a pet friendly hotel. All in all it was a lovely stay and would definitely recommend to all pet owners.

Me and my wife stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding. There was a small mix up with the pricing and the company we booked the rooms through however that was soon fixed and we were incredibly happy. We had an executive room that was spacious and had more than enough room for my wife and 7 other people to get ready with her. We also had breakfast included for both mornings we were there. The food was brilliant and was a perfect start to both days. All members of staff were friendly and did anything they could to help. We would be more than happy to stay again in the future. 10/10.

Nice clean hotel. Rooms are in good shape. BEWARE of the VERY slippery bath tubs/showers! I almost fell every day while showering. The bar / resturant are also very clean and pretty good food (try the fish and chips). Parking maybe a challenge during busy times. Front staff is excellent… Say hey to Brad!

Lovely hotel staff very helpful considering its on the airport its very quiet. Down side paying £8 to park for one night. Oh and the smallest biscuit I have ever seen in the bedroom are see attached.

Stayed one night in order to get an early flight. Our room was a good size and well equipped. Air-conditioning worked well and was quiet. There was a good view of Southend airport from our window, but no plane noise! Had a excellent burger and a drink in the 5th floor bar and restaurant. All the staff were polite and professional. With online booking we only paid £90 for the accommodation and 8 days parking in the hotel's long term carpark. In the morning only 300 metres to walk to the check-in! From our experience we highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, tidy, simple, easy parking and 2 minute walk the London-bound trains (or the seafront). Staff very friendly and helpful. Lie in till midday, if you register for loyalty you can checkout till 1:30PM.

Easy booking through Rewards Club IHG. On our arrival, we had an excellent welcome from the very warm, welcoming & knowledgable KATIE. From then on, our experience just got better & better. Our suite overlooking the runway was immaculate & clean. The mini bar well stocked. The complimentary mineral water very welcome. The in room tea & coffee facilities were the best I've seen in any hotel. The food, breakfast & dinner, in the rooftop 1935 bar & restaurant was excellent quality, along with the courteous friendly efficient staff members. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all friends & family & I will definitely be staying here again. Join the IHG rewards club & book your room through that. Well worth it.

Good hotel, ideal to spend the night before your flight if you leave very early as there is no train 24 h.

Went for a meal Saturday night. Waitress attentive and service was quick. Good value for a 3 course meal. Steak could have been better quality and more tables with a view are required.

Good room with everything needed in it. Double bed felt quite small. Overall very happy, service particularly good.

A nice and decent hotel that's a 5 minute walk from the airport which is very handy. The staff are friendly making checking in and out quick and easy. The rooms are spacious and well maintained.

Staff quickly found 3 of us a room after our flight was cancelled due to the France air strike. Lovely helpful staff, clean and comfortable accommodation, great food. Staff were all so very lovely.

Went to the bar with our young children to watch the aeroplanes at the airport. The service was excellent as was the drinks. Felt very welcome.

Rooftop restaurant has a great view overlooking the airport, a great place to relax over a few drinks. Food is very nice, can be pretty busy so needs booking.

Rude service (pretty much offering me to find another hotel. Of course, I still have to pay for it), dirty towels (no apology after asking for new ones and showing the bad ones with a huge hair and stains) different room from a booking (there are no more rooms left), hairs in the bath, something sticky on the table. Stains on one pillow case. I still can't believe I am in a twin bedroom with two separate beds with my husband for 96pounds…

Service was terrible, we booked double bed room, and they said, sorry we don't have it so you will get twin bed. 3 of 6 towels was dirty and one of them had animal hair on it. Nobody even said sorry, 4 stars hotel? Reception don't give a damn thing about it. Never ever coming back. I woulnd to use this hotel to anyone . P. S all those fans and AC was so noisy!

Amazing staff, amazing rooms with fantastic views!

The hotel is situated next to London Southend Airport. The rooms are nice and clean. It was one of the best nights sleep I had in a long time. The restaurant offers a good menu. My stay was for business, I would happily stay there again if I needed to.

Got married here last year and the Holiday Inn staff helped make it a great success. Both the venue and food was faultless. Part of the wedding package included a meal on your anniversary and again the experience exceeded our expectations with the staff treating us like royalty; best seats in the house to see the fireworks and generally making it a special occasion for us. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Stayed here when seing family but conditions were bad for 4*. Ok being near airport with noise the air conditioning was a nightmare fan hiting housing, noise was horendous. Got taken to the employees balcony off the conference rooms overlooking the airport and plowed with beer by the camp African barman to sought of forget your night I wanted the holiday inn experience not cover experience.

Booked this as a birthday surprise and upgraded to an Executive Room which had an amazing view of the airport. The only thing I was a bit disappointed was that the shower was not a walk in one but that wouldn't stop me from booking again in the future. The hotel is lovely and the staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and pleasant at all times. Didn't have evening meal there but had full English breakfast which was very nice. Would recommend this hotel.

Very nice bar/restaurant The view of the airport from the 4th and 5th floors are amazing very good quality hotel.

Stayed in this Hotel Easter weekend, What a disappointment. Apparently they are having some problems with ceiling air vents in certain rooms. The noise throughout the night from these vents is horrendous. I was offered another room after a sleepless night and given a key. Later that evening I returned from my excursion along with my young family and entered my new room to find a couple already in the room allocated to me! After another trip to reception I was placed in a room right above their function room hosting a 40th birthday party till the early hours. We were given some money off the room and I'm still waiting for the manager to contact me with an explanation which so far hasn't happened and I won't be holding my breath for it.

My Stay at the Holiday Inn was really disappointing. I paid for an executive room but was really disappointed by the standard of the room, such as the bathroom which was not clean. There were dust everywhere, the spare toilet paper was very dingy as it was stained from where it got wet. The shower was very noisy each time it was put on. In addition to the shower, there was a very loud and annoying noise coming from the AC and heating unit which made it impossible to have a quiet night sleep and enjoy. The dinning experience was also very bad as my husband and I had to wait for long periods of time to be served. At no point during our wait for dinner on both nights did the staff came to check on us and keep us up to date with our food. I would also rate the food as 2 star as it lacks flavour. On leaving the hotel we were check out by a front desk Manager, who could not be bother to ask how our stay was.

Good and not so good. The Breakfast was very good and abundant. What I didn't like was that you directly when you check in for a security Deposit was made easier. This may perhaps be in order. But, that still today I have my spare change is not seen, is not in order. On the first glance, cheap Accommodation in retrospect very expensive. Again, I will probably not stay.
