Stayed here for 1 night, hotel looked good from the outside, inside is a different story altogether. The room we got was on the 3rd floor with a view to the front garden, room was small and extremely hot, no ac or fan. Requested a fan and reception said they would send one, never turned up. As with the previous reviews the hotel is dated and needs refurbishment, the bed we got was supposed to be a double it was actually two single mattresses joined together, very uncomfortable and the springs in the mattresses we very hard. Bathroom we had problems, toilet was faulty and overflowed when flushed had to call reception to rectify this problem and the shower was terrible it had no pressure and the bath tub was noisy when stepping on. The walls are very thin you can hear everything next door and even people walking in the hallway, very noisy, there should have been noise insulation at least. Paid nearly £80 for a nights stay, was not worth half that amount. Would not stay again and do not recommend to anyone until there has been a major overhaul of the property. The staff are all friendly and welcoming just the property needs to be sorted out. Only positive bit is the location is walking distance to the beach.

Great staff, went out of their way to be helpful. Spotlessly clean, lovely room. I will book again. Also food, breakfast and dinner were excellent.

When we finally arrived to this hotel it looked okay from the outside, bit dated but that's most seaside hotels. Downstairs in reception was lovely and even the day staff (a young female and male) were fantastic, they were welcoming, caring and helped a lot. The morning staff (10am) were also very helpful and informed us about parking which was very much appreciated, we could not fault these three people at all. The bed (once we cleaned it) was very comfortable to sleep on. The location of the hot is good as everything was a short distance walk. Unfortunately, that is where the good points end. We came back to the hotel about 11:30pm, we knocked on the door (which they tell you to do) to which a man came and let us in. We then went to reception and stood patiently waiting for the man to finish what he was doing, once he finished, instead of being polite and asking if he could help, he said "what", we were only patiently waiting to buy two bottles of water. I was disgusted with this man's behavior and he has no customer service. I work in retail which is why we patiently waited, not once have I ever spoken to a customer in that way. Our room, wasn't the nicest and very very outdated.

Checked in at 2:30 in the morning after a long day of work, just wanting to get to bed. Told by night manager hotel parking was free until 9am, Checked out and left by 9am and got submitted a fine of 100 pounds for what I was told was free parking during that time but in fact wasn't. Very unhappy with this level of service and will not be using this hotel again for accomodation.

Great staff, went out of their way to be helpful. Spotlessly clean, lovely room. I will book again.

The hotel is in need of a huge revamp. It was old and neglected. The rooms were uncomfortably hot. Water coming out of the taps was brown. We found dirty underpants down the side of the bed. There was a poor choice at breakfast. Coffee was out of a huge urn and was undrinkable.

Lack of service, more like self service, meal times a never enough food put out always waiting, other than the chamber maids kept room 100%

When we first got in the car park we were worried. But I found it looking good! There was lots of nice staff at the desk, it was a nice surprise having a suite but one of the beds had a tiny rip. It was comfy though. The rooms were boiling but the staff can give you a fan. The bath room was clean. We had breakfast there the staff didn’t make it clear where the breakfast was. But overall I would go back.

We arrived and got a lovely suprise because we were staying in a suite. We worried because of all the bad reviews but we got a really nice bedroom and it was massive with a clean bathroom. The hotel is absolutely boiling though but the lovely staff that are in the desk will get you a fan. We didn't have the evening meal there we went out but we did have breakfast. Breakfast had lots of varities but the people who ran breakfast didn't make it clear as to how to collect your breakfast or where to sit. The breakfast was quite randomly spread out and it was a bit disappointing. But we were very grateful for our room and free Wi-Fi from downstairs and definetly for the 2 minute walk to the beach. We would stay aging but not for breakfast. The kids didn't want to leave.

I stayed with my daughter at this hotel. All though quite old you couldn't want for anything. Staff very friendly and helpful. This hotel is probably better suited for the more elderly guest.

Room very outdated, decor of the room awful needa repair and a fresh look. Shower awful water just trickles out! Not worth the money we paid will honestly say we won't be back here again ever!

Room was spacious, if a little shabby, but clean and tidy, good beds, good food, nice, atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed there for the Boogaloo Blues Weekend. Food and service really good. Accommodation clean & comfortable. Excellent value.

Terrible hotel. Room, paper peeling, toilet flush half hidden so not possible to clean properly, welcome left a lot to be desired Avoid!

A basic hotel. Glad we were only staying for 1night. It looked tired. The food was not good. All the food was value range. Don't know what brand of orange juice they used but it wasn't drinkable. Location wise, wasn't too bad, we enjoyed our walk into Bournemouth, didn't take long, along the clifftop or down on the beach, we loved all the beach huts.

Booked last minute, needed a pet friendly hotel and this was the cheapest at £110 for the night! Decore needs a serious revamp and was nothing luxury about our stay but as we had our dogs that was fine. If we had booked this just for is and the children I think we would have been really disappointed with the standard considering the price. Would give 3* out of 10.

Worst hotel I have ever witnessed! that bad we had to get a refund and find another hotel. To start we walked into our room and only one of the lights were working, the bathroom was filthy and the toilet was blocked! Cushion covers were dirty, damp stains on the walls and ceiling, wardrobe handle snapped off, light hanging off the wall above the bed… the list goes on but I don’t have all day to leave this review… We went to reception to see if it could be sorted out, and the maintence man did come quickly although he told us the toilet was fine, maybe because it was still flushing (on a lucky pump) and when changing the light bulb, was swearing at the bulb because it was the wrong size and the cover couldn’t be put back on! So that’s when we decided it was time to leave, we went back to reception, told them the problems with the maintenance and the reply to the toilet situation was ‘ ooooh, that’s an old toilet’ what?!?! We were told there was no other rooms available, THANK GOD! And all they could do was give a refund, just what we wanted anyway! REALLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, don’t waste your time, there are so many other lovely hotels around!

The one star is for the large comfortable bright rooms, clean big bathroom and all home comforts. However that's where it ends: — floors are creaky, walls paper thin and staff aside the manager gloomy. During our stay there, a hen group made it's ugly presence known at 2am despite the windows being closed. The excesses of these women carried on to the early hours outside in the garden area by the front lobby without censure. The attitude of the staff was why didn't I tell the night Porter. As there is no phone in the room this is rather a poor excuse. I guess the night Porter must have lost his hearing aid that night. The bar service wasn't much good either. The "foreign student" barman struggled on his own all night. Beer was served flat and house wine more the cooking variety unless you purchased a bottle of overpriced "value" issue. The entertainment was little better than piped supermarket music. The paid parking spaces were oversubscribed forcing obstructive parking. Would not stay here again.

Staff are nice and polite. Eager to help. Hotel in itself is old and decor more turned towards the older generation. Nice stay.

Very friendly helpful staff, on arrival if there is no parking spaces drive to the road behind the hotel and they have another car park, £3 a night which is very reasonable as it's £12 over the road. My room was spotless Although a little dated, I was given a ground floor room near reception and was a little weary about noise, but I had no issues whatsoever. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, but the food smelt delicious I did try the bar and found the staff very attentive, and there was a good singing act on as well. Overall very good trip. Would go again!, Great location 100 MTRS to the sea front and a pleasant 15min walk into the town.

Staff great. Location great for us. Rooms are a bit basic but clean and fine for a night.

Not bad considering how cheap it was during Bournemouth air festival. Very basic, some lights didn't work in the room. Lock broken on the bathroom door and my husband had to unblock the bath! yuk! Staff are friendly and helpful though. Would stay there again if pushed if we wanted basic, but good area for the beach. Great place for the air festival with parking.

Not that good. Uncomfortable bed. Poor cleanliness. Only 1 light out of 4 working in the bathroom. EVERY floorboard in our room creaked. Disappointing choice of food, particularly for my vegetarian wife. Staff were friendly at least.

Relaxed hotel spotlessly clean Buffet service well organised by friendly staff. Always someone available to. Deal with queries. Comfortable beds all basic facilities in rooms kept well maintained. Big plus for some it is child and pet friendly.

I recently stayed at Heathlands for one week attending a Convention. I had a single room on the ground floor which was very clean, the double bed was comfortable and I had all the mod cons that one would expect including a TV. The weather was good so I was able to sit in the attractive small garden at the front of the hotel. The food was excellent, all the staff were very helpful and most friendly. The daytime Manager (Steve? ) was most friendly and helpful. Dogs are welcome at the hotel and I am hoping to go back later in the year with my husband and our small dog when the beaches will be open to dogs. The beaches are fabulous and Bournemouth and the places around are well worth visiting.

I went there with my boyfriend, it was not great stains on the carpet only two channels on the tv, broken tiles in the bathroom. Outside which was the swimming pool all broken paving which is very dangerous. Wouldn't recommend it at all the only good thing was the location.

Perfectly reasonable for the price. Not the Ritz, but that's not what you're paying for either. Good location too; only a short walk from the town centre.

Its a little tired but staff are friendly and food is good. Its great value.

Disabled access is HORRIBLE. Rooms are ugly. Awful overall.

Most reviews were too harsh. I almost canceled my booking due to that. But my room was alright for the price. Nothing to complain about honestly.

Horrible experience. Noisy environment, crappy rooms. Not kept clean, curtains not hung properly. Coffee stains on wall, marks on bathroom wall by toilet. Expensive! People defnitely smoking in their rooms, no smoking policy not enforced. Accepted a family room booking although none avaialbe, family was split up! We drove to locaiton so had little choice but to overnight once at least. Still struggling to get my money back as we stayed only 1 night! Britannia hotels will never see me again. Never felt so robbed in my life, even when I was robbed.

Whole hotel is run down and is in great need of renervation looks better in photos than actually is. Heating is turned up way to much could not sleep so had to have windows fully open. They charge you to park the car in their car park. They also charge you £2 if you use a credit or 50p if you use a debit card. Staff are friendly but are not welcoming.

I visited this hotel for the weekend with my boyfriend. We went for a short break away, somewhere to relax. This hotel was horrendous. The outside was nothing like the photos displayed. When you went into the hotel, it looked very clean and tidy. We then got directed to our room and it was hideous. Stains all over the walls and floors. There was a patch of floor that had different carpet along with a patch of random wallpaper. The walls were ridiculous too, may as well of been paper. Our TV only had 2 channels and our shower was freezing. All in all, we would never stay here again. Complete false advertisement. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately, some of the double rooms are very small and the heating FULL on in the evening which makes being in a room extremely uncomfortable, and sleep next to impossible. If only they would turn the darn thing off, it would make a world of different. In rooms without Windows the experience is unbearable. The barman Beaou very nice indeed, very friendly and obliging.

Ok, we only paid £32 for a one night stay inc breakfast which was not bad for a Bed for the night and a breakfast in the morning (no complaints with breakfast). But there normal rate is around £110 which for the room would have been disappointing The room was clean but dated, CD player lid broken and left flapping open, soap dish hanging off, Dirty breakfast pots left on landing over night. small details, but why were they not fixed? building work being carried out and not section off to the customers. Reception staff on arrival polite but not that welcoming. Building being restored, but seems not to be a great standard. Overall we got a bargain deal for a Sunday night rate (A bed and a breakfast for two) but if we had paid there full rate for the same thing we would have been very disappointed.
