Staff were all so lovely and helpful.

Scooter 2 mins away from hotel, so much fun. Overall lovely stay.

Just visited the Spa and had a very nice facial. Staff are friendly, will definitely be returning for more treatments.

Staff excellent so great cannot do enough for u only have one bad thing about this place is no cupboards for your clothes food excellent lift a nightmare not working but had a great time xxxx.

Fabulous new decor, wonderful friendly, attentive staff, great experience to be back for the first time exactly 34 years after our wedding reception there. Highly recommend, food fab, adore the decor, we will be back!

The one really good feature of this hotel is the staff! Extremely helpful and nice. Hotel is very tired! Bathroom tiles cracked and broken, bath but with a shower that's not temperature controlled, mattresses hard. Only one key so we had to hand it in every time. Breakfast was good but the coffee awful. The tables rickety. If some money could be found to refurbish the hotel it would be very nice as it has a good position.

Old hotel, which would be fine if it were clean. Unfortunately, the room was so dirty that we moved. The next room was a bit nicer but not much cleaner.
In another room, the bed was not freshly covered. Had blood stains on the bed sheet.
Absolutely not recommended!

We had the Balmoral Suite absolutely lovely but missed a bath. Rooms were lacking information on the hotel facilities and there wasn't a phone to call down for room service so you had to run down to reception. Staff very friendly and polite. Hotel clean spa and pool facilities good. Plenty of choice for breakfast but would have been nice to have individual pots of tea and coffee.

This hotel was amazing. Me and my boyfriend loved it so much. Was a 1 minute walk literally to the beach. The staff was amazing and so was the environment. We got a little bit of the beach view. But was 5 to 10 minutes away to the center and 5 minutes to the shops down the road. I also loved the service we was given. The maid would come in while me and my boyfriend was out and gave us some more daily refreshments the hot chocolate was the best. The bed was comfortable very much. I would 100% come back here. Worth the money spent. Thank you to everyone there at the reception and the maids for fantastic service.

Above average for the area. Great location near the cliff top and town in a leafy area of Bournemouth. Reception staff and friendly enough and efficient. Rooms are tidy, quite modern, but nothing too fancy. If you are lucky you can get a glimpse of the sea from your window.

Air conditioning needs to be sorted! by heck the ball room is extremely hot! dated hotel with character. Rooms are nice. Hit and miss with balconies and baths. Some showers are poor due to water pressure. Staff are nice. Good service and food. Planning an event here in the summer bring your own air conditioning units as you will need them here. Even in your rooms!

Went for the 5 day Fit Camp and fell ill on the first day. Director Daniel Marsh was superb! Stayed with my family and supported throughout the 111 call and stayed until the paramedics arrived always ensuring I was comfortable. Hotel worker Ben Hawkins was also an Angel checking to see if I was hungry when I did not go down to dinner and bringing up dinner for me. The hotel may have been 3 star in status — small, slightly dated and clean but they most certainly were 5 star when it came to management, staff and service. Always helpful, always kind, always smiling. I am still recovering from a frozen shoulder (without having done one class) but will definitely be back! Thank you to all at the Queen's Hotel for looking after me and my family so well.

Simply excellent! The staff attitude is beyond the call of duty and they will go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They are all so friendly and approachable and they go the extra mile all the time. It will feel more like being with friends at this hotel. I know a lot of reviews talk about the hotel being a bit ‘tired’ but it was spotless and kept clean all the time, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was incredible. We are already planning a return trip here. It’s one of the best hotels that we have ever visited and the kids had a great time too. Well done! And thank you to all the staff here for a wonderful stay!

The hotel itself could do with a bit of face-lift. We had a pleasant stay, but the room was so hot you couldn't spend a prolonged amount of time in it. The fire alarm went off 3 times on our first evening, this was not their fault as there was a fault on the system and they were waiting for an engineer, the problem was their lack of communication with the guests as to what was going on. We went to have our evening meal and had been waiting a while, which didn't really bother us, but then we had a waiter come and tell us that it would be at least another 10 minutes as they had to serve the function that was on first, which did annoy us. There is only an hour time slot for hotel guests and you would think that if they had a function on, they would have served their food at a different time to this. We were given a bottle of wine because of this, but all the waiter had to say to us was "I'm sorry for the delay would you like a drink because of the wait". We then wouldn't have been annoyed that the function was more important, as we wouldn't of even known. Nothing that a little customer service training wouldn't solve. Things were a lot quieter the next night, but we turned up for the cheese and wine tasting we had booked and they weren't expecting us as they had put us down for the day before, despite the receptionist checking which day we had booked it for with me when I checked in. However, they did bring everything out for us and it was very nice.

Lovely hotel, great experience. Had a small mishap with our room, not being able to get the wheelchair all the way into the room, so they upgraded us to the bridal suite! Absolutely amazing. Lovely service, clean and tidy hotel. Definitely will be coming back.

Lovely hotel, very friendly welcoming staff. Room was spotless, and decorated tastefully. Nice big bathroom, very clean, heated towel rail and nice toiletries. Very comfy bed with feather duvet and pillows. A little bit of luxury compared to most other local hotels! Free spa and free parking. Every extra service you can think of is offered here, so would be the best choice for a longer stay in Bournemouth. Very comfortable stay and relaxed in the knowledge almost anything needed can be catered for here.

Lovely staff. Very little hot water in our room. Food a disappointment compared to two previous stays in past few years. Music played in restaurant was enough to make your eating experience short, as it was repetitive and annoying. Our room was lovely. Despite tucked old carpets and cracked tiles in bathroom. We understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. Much as we love the hotel I doubt we will return and that is mainly because of the food being a total let down compared to previous stays.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comphy if dated rooms. No hot water. Told to wait longer. Seven minutes wasn't enough apparently. I didn't have time so had to leave without showering in the morning. Soured the experience a bit.

Spent one night with my wife for our first anniversary and left the place with good experience. Found a good deal on Groupon which included ice skating, use of swimming pool and sauna, 2-course dinner and breakfast just for £89. I saw the reviews and though its going to be horrible. However, everything was excellent: friendly staff, clean and tidy room and delicious food. Wouldn't mind coming back again.

Good, clean, comfortable rooms with sensible bathrooms included. Reasonable restaurant. Dance hall with separate bar. Large private meeting room. Attentive staff. Restricted parking. A fair walk to the town's attractions.

Great venue for groups and seasonal party's. Good food and service. Extensive building with lots of space. Good facilities and welcoming warm staff. Limited Hotel parking, be careful as the surrounding roads are metered. Very well located to the sea and town center.

Lovely hotel good swimming pool n spa area. Excellent food n service nothing was too much trouble.

Xmas do with work, £30 for a meal and disco but the food was tiny, nothing special about it so very disappointed. Other than that it was all good.

Stayed here for a masonic ladies weekend for two nights. Very, very tired hotel that needs some serious updating and soundproofing! You could hear the people talking in the next room. Carpets and furniture were stained, bathroom taps were totally useless and made a sound like a howling dog whenever you managed to get any water out of them. Shower scalded me and who has shower curtains anymore! the one good point was the food, the breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice on the buffet and our evening meals for the masonic event were good but would not stay here again.

Spent four days here with gb tours. Lovely clean room, the food was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is a good size and would recommend you give it a try. Only negative would be how hot it was in the hotel.

Friendly welcome, good check in. Changed room from a double to a twin with no extra charge. Nice fresh room, clean. Very good location, parking included. Need good parking skills. Good breakfast, apart from the extremely strong tea (but we are not British) we will be back!

Parking was a nightmare, some staff were abrupt and I am being polite using abrupt. The rooms were tidy but needed work. We were woken up by the sound of bike locks being cut through and were the only people to alert the hotel to this. I was up until 4.30 helping the one 20 year old member of staff (who was great) chase off the thieves with the aid of my wife shouting at them out of the window. Needless to say we had very little sleep after that. We were overcharged for breakfast and had to query the fact. All in all not somewhere we would stay again.

Poor health & safety — when escalating issues to management they just take a note of it & state they will contact you but never do. Rooms in poor condition & need of repair. Great location but would recommend avoiding this hotel.

Will never go the Queens Hotel, especially to dine as I made it very clear that I had an intolerance but the chef choose to ignore it and I became very ill. However, the Spa Forever Gorgeous is fantastic. Staff are very friendly and you can really recharge your batteries after a lovely massage and use of the pool facilities.

The room seemed dated, the sauna wasn't operating when we tried it, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is of a good standard. Situated almost on the beach is a nice location however due to the landslip last year it takes a little while to get to the beach. Nothing the hotel can do about that I know but I thought I'd mention it.

Stayed in June. Have just received a parking ticket for legitimately parking in the hotel car park. Yes the car was registered, yes it was in a legal parking space. So now we have to appeal the ticket and having rung the hotel now have to scan the letter, supply evidence of our stay and ask the manager to sort it out. Strange how there is no manager available on Friday at 5.30pm or over the weekend… make of that what you will. Well that was a pleasant stay. My advice do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else with better service and one that has a better implemented parking policy. Quite frankly I am disgusted that my weekend is now taken up dealing with their inefficiency.

It's clean with comfortable beds and very small gym and an ok swimming pool. However, if you are don't want other guests dogs Barking to wake up up at 5 in the morning don't stay there. It's also a fair way from the beach, shops and restaurants so again if you are not very mobile look elsewhere.

A lovely hotel in close proximity to the beach, and within walking distance to many attractions. The bed was extremely comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the sea. The breakfast was incredible.

We stayed here for a dance weekend and were very happy with pretty much everything. The staff were excellent — friendly, welcoming and helpful, the food was good and the location (a few minutes walk from the beach and about ten minutes from the city centre) was very convenient. Two minor suggestions for improvements: 1. The selection of cold desserts didn't seem to change much — would be nice to have a different selection on different days 2. The shower in our room was very low on pressure, and quite a few of the holes in the shower head were blocked/not working. None of this spoilt our enjoyment though and we'll definitely be back.

A lovely place, staff prepared and polite. Inside there is a spa with swimming pool and whirlpool. Only drawback the room, stained carpet and free of air conditioner, being exposed to the sun our room had become a sauna! Everything else is OK, from food to hospitality!

Decor leaves a lot to be desired. Some staff are lovely others need to learn manners. Had to argue to be served a Bloody Mary as they don't do cocktails. They take a £50 deposit which is fine but still waiting for it to be returned to my account!

I've just finished the FitCamp the hotel hosts — which is actually brilliant. The hotel itself is akin to Fawlty Towers with a general manager, who is the most rude, ill-informed, arrogant, nobody I have ever encountered. The background to this story is part related to the FitCamp which is run by some brilliant trainers who are unable to offer the service they would like due to some absurd rules the GM has decided to implement. This includes; allowing free-reign of bread rolls, sugary cereals, baked beans at breakfast and bread rolls again at lunch but refusing them at dinner, serving sugar-laden fruit and muffins as snacks (as part of the FitCamp) yet FORBIDDING me from having salt when I requested it for the un-seasoned vegetables I had one evening for dinner (yet, it's perfectly okay to serve white rice and white bread at dinner…). The Draconian 'rules' around nutrition seem to be based on the GM's complete lack of knowledge on the subject and the trainers who do know, or are at least willing to let the participants of the programme make their own choices — because they are adults — are shackled by this man's ludicrous out-dated beliefs regarding nutrition. However this is all background because the real issue is how a general manager is a general manager when he seemingly has no clue how to be a general manager and offer good customer service. Why?

Me and my fiancée got a great last minute deal for this room. The room was a good size, warm and a comfortable bed. We didn't use the facilities on this visit but I've used the pool/sauna before and it's pretty nice. The decor could do with an update but it's not really an issue.

There for massage only. Was very good, very nice people. Only not 5 star as they started a little late and finished a little early.

Got a deal via Wowcher and it was terrible. Pool was small and dated, jacuzzi was more for a personal home pool rather than servicing a hotel, only 4 people max! Sauna was the same. The whole Hotel is very dated. Bathroom old shabby and rotten swollen wood in desperate need of replacing. Found pubes around the sink — gross! Shower, well I can pee faster! and nearly got 3rd degree burns then 2 seconds later like jumping into a frozen lake! TV small, and lack of plugs in room, mirror was on the opposite side of the room to a plug socket!. Bed was the only thing that was ok in the room. Food in the bar was actually nice, although missing some bits that you would expect to get on a meal. Breakfast was shockingly gross. Sloppy scramble, fat pouring out of cheap sausages, and bacon was foul smelling and tasted disgusting. Tinned fruit on offer, and cheap yoghurt. Along with a nice cuppa baby tea, and limp toast from something that looked like Tesco value, well actually that's an insult to Tesco as theirs is at least decent! Receptionists grumpy, along with most of the staff. Parking a total utter nightmare, would never go back was meant to be a gift for us both to have a nice stay away, and we would have been more comfortable at home with a takeaway! Don't waste your time, or be fooled by the gallery images on their site, and moreso don't be fooled by the name "Queen or Spa"

Had a great time there for xmas work party night.

Having spent 1 night in the hotel I would not recommend it to any of my friends. the bathroom light didn't work the window in the bedroom was jammed open so could hear noise from traffic all night. the kettle was filthy with stains of brown stuff from the spout right down to the base. the air brick in the bathroom is stuffed with tissue to cover the gap all round it the bath panel which looks like a piece of plywood is coming away from the bath the towels were thin and tatty. Having paid £119 for the night it was very disappointing and would never think of staying there again.

I love this hotel, SO close to the beach which is PERFECT!
