Fantastic hosts, amazing freshly cooked breakfast, great location, great shower, lovely room, room included everything you needed and more, luxury bath products, shampoo, conditioner.

Would recommend — hosts are brilliant with tea and cake to welcome you. Lovely room clean and comfortable and the breakfast menu is first class. Great place to stay.

Me and my sister and our husbands all stayed in September. Fantastic place, fabulous hosts and scrumpy breakfasts. Great location. I’d highly recommend. Unfortunately had to leave early for family commitments at home but will definitely return 100%. Ian & Janette both lovely and welcoming.

Very friendly hosts rooms really nice and warm en-suite excellent breakfast very filling nothing too much trouble and unexpectedly gluten free toaster, even some board games as well all in all enjoyed our stay immensely Bob was a fountain of knowledge regarding food and drink establishments locally obviously researched this thoroughly lol will definitely return.

This was our second stay at Glendower B&B loved it, the food is second to none and Lesley always ensures that you have enough to eat. The rooms are beautiful and are kept to a high standard of comfort and cleanliness, friendly hosts and really make you feel welcome, we will be back. X.

Amazing place friendly owners.

After a spontaneous voucher purchase on Groupon on Saturday, we were speedily booked in for Sunday night at the Glendower with no issues whatsoever. We were greeted by very friendly staff when we arrived that couldn’t do enough for us! The building was beautifully kept and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the best we’ve stayed in! Our voucher included breakfast which was hot and yummy too. The town centre and seafront are a short walk away so we had a great time exploring the area, we could even leave the car at the premises after checking out whilst we spent the day in town. I can’t credit the Glendower enough for their customer service and impeccable presentation, we will definitely return if we are heading to Torquay again!

Back home following a fantastic 3 night stay with the ever so hospitable Bob, Lesley and Carla. New Year celebrated in style with wonderful company.
I cannot recommend this B and B highly enough, with stylish, very comfortable rooms, the best breakfasts (we were spoilt for choice) an excellent guest bar and it's all close to the highlights of Torquay!
We're already looking forward to returning in the near future.

Amazing owners and friendly staff. Tasty breakfast and immaculate rooms. Very easy to get to the beach, train station and a wide choice of restaurants.

Great b&b choice of breakfast is extensive the pancakes being my personal favorite lovely couple that run it 5 star service great size bed abd rooms.

The glendower can not be faulted in any way it is clean and tidy and the food is excellent, you are made to feel very welcome. The beach and train station are only a short walk away. I would highly recommended this bed and breakfast to anyone I am sure they wouldn’t be disappointed.

Great B&B in Torquay Hosts are wonderful, very friendly & know what they're doing. Slightly off the main drag of b&bs, so quiet, but walkable to the beach & town centre or there is a regular bus from outside the building. The room was Clean, tidy, good size with a comfortable bed. Usual facilities. Breakfast was wonderful, the cooked breakfast was not the usual cheap sausages & bacon one expects is such places but very good quality. Many other options along with a very nice looking fresh fruit bowl.

A fantastic place to stay! Rooms are very nice, beds are ultra comfy and everything is exceptionally clean. They were very accommodating with our breakfast requests. Bob, Leslie and team clearly take pride in this place, highly recommended.

We've really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and comfortable, the breakfast excellent (especially loved fresh fruit salad) and tbe location quiet but handy for everything. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Loved it.

We stayed over the Bank Holiday week — had a fabulous time. The owners are super, Bob, Lesley and Carla — they all make you feel so welcome, part of a big family :-) The rooms are super clean and extremely comfortable. What can I say about the breakfast other than brill. We will be visiting again and are recommending to family and friends. A real gem — thank you for your hospitality :-)

Stayed here for 3 nights last weekend for a short break with my wife and son in the family room. Excellent, large, very bright room with a king size bed and 2 singles, en suite shower room and separate w. C. Fridge with freezer compartment, tea & coffee making facilities, safe, tv. On site parking is available but if full, there is plenty of on street parking nearby. The hosts, Bob, Lesley and Carla are most welcoming and make you feel at ease straight away. Overall facilities are excellent and the breakfast is to die for. Plenty of variety and huge portions. The locally sourced sausages, bacon and eggs are of very high quality and cooked to perfection. The bar lounge is very cosy with a well stocked bar where you can easily relax. Cannot praise the place high enough and would definitely return when next in Torquay.

Got to be one of the top 10 locations to be. Superb breakfast, and allowed to be lazy enough to enjoy it. Staff are all very pleasant, rooms are very inviting and spotlessly clean.

I stayed here whilst visiting Torquay for work. I have to say I was very impressed. I stayed in the single room, however this was huge! The room was very boutique style and really comfortable. I was made to feel welcome from the get go and really enjoyed my stay. The eggs glendower are to die for! The only thing I would have liked is to be advised they were changing the carpet whilst I was out. I have terrible dust allergies which flares my asthma up. I had an attack the second night and could not work out why. Found out the next day. Would have been nice to be warned so I could have prepared by taking antihistamines before going to bed. But none the less a wonderful place and will almost certainly be coming back for my next visit for work :)

Lovely place well pleased with the room and well pleased with the hosts would recommend staying here, also lovely breakfast.

On arrival we were met by Bob who immediately made us feel welcome and like family. Our room was spotless and so very comfortable with many thoughtful touches. Bob, Lesley and Carla looked after us with warmth and genuineness. Breakfast was a delightful feast in a most delightful seaside themed dining room. Thank you from our hearts.

Visited March 2017. Really enjoyed three night stay. The owners have a great balance between making guests welcome, making it clear that nothing is too much trouble, but also leaving guests to themselves if that's what they want. VERY dog-friendly. Our dog started turning her nose up at her own food because she knew she got sausage in the breakfast room. Enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked for later in the year. EDIT: Sadly the hotel is slightly less dog friendly now; dogs are no longer allowed in the breakfast room but must be left caged in guests' room or put in the car during breakfast. I presume this is because of problems or complaints. Having said that, I would still rank it as 5 stars because Bob Lesley and Carla are such good hosts.

I stayed here for a week at the end of last summer and thought the place was very good. I liked the family who ran the place, the breakfasts were great and the rooms were clean, recently refurbished and quiet. I would recommend to anyone.

What a wonderful place and what wonderful people. What most people don't know is that Bob, Lesley, and Carla, are involved with THHN, a local charity does amazing work, and as part of a package that was organised by them, they very generously gave up their family room for us to stay in at their own cost. Bob, Lesley, Carla, your hearts are as big as your breakfast's, and we cannot thank you enough for your wonderful gesture.

What a wonderful place! There are few places these days who actually mean it when they say dogs are welcome — Glendower B&B is one of them! We received a warm welcome along with our collie and we were shown to rooms which are modern and spotlessly clean. You can see that Bob, Lesley, Carla, Bentley and Teddy take great pride in their work. Our dog was even provided with a bed and three towels to make her stay cosy! Breakfast was easily one of the best we've ever had. A home-made and healthy selection of cooked breakfasts, yoghurts, cereal, porridges, jams, bread and fruits. Couldn't fault it. Our dog was given a sausage every morning in her own bowl which she loved! Excellent location within walking distance of the harbour and beaches, and free Wi-Fi. Safe in the room to store valuables. Our only complaint would be that we didn't stay long enough to try all the delicious food! Thank you all so much for our lovely stay, we felt so welcome here, especially our little Nell. We highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be returning.

We have stayed many times in Torbay. This was our first visit to Glendower and we can honestly say this is an amazing guesthouse. Our hosts Bob Lesley and Carla were so lovely, they were warm, friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was first class and the room was extremely comfortable. Without doubt we will be returning and would highly recommend Glendower for its homely welcome, service and in addition the location is within easy walking distance to sea front and shops. A really nice 2 night stay, very friendly owners, the most comfortable beds, and superb breakfast, home made bread (which we dont get at home) all home made yogurts and jams and no rules and regulations was just given a key and left to come and go as we please. And great location just 5 mins from sea front.
