Wow what a lovely place, we stayed in a beautiful cosy room, which had everything we needed, it was clean and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely 2 course meal which I can not fault, the service was professional and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and plenty of it. We used the Spa facilities which were lovely and very relaxing. We had a lovely walk along the coastal path to at Ives and a train ride back. Would highly recommend, we will be back, loved it. X.

Spent last night at the Gannet Inn with one of my friends after I finished Chemo/radiotherapy. On arrival a lovely surprise on an upgraded room, a card of congrats and chocolate bar was waiting for me, those small gestures were soo heart warming, thank you. Room luxurious, food absolutely faultless soo tasty. Had a couple of hours at C Spa which was incredible. Thank you for a perfect night away.

Had the most wonderful stay a few weeks back, it was the most perfect short break with my partner before he was off for 3 months with the Navy. All the staff were lovely and so attentive, made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much bother. The 2 course evening meal & breakfast that was included in our stay was amazing, we couldn't fault it. The bedrooms were spacious and extremely clean, we got a free upgrade which was a nice touch. I need to know where the pillows are from! 😍😴 they were to die for, I had the best sleep in forever. It was fantastic being able to access the Gia Spa, it was only a short walk we spent the afternoon there relaxing. Thankyou to everyone at The Gannet we loved it 💕

Absolutely delicious food starter and mains were amazing would highly recommend the staff are great so lovely would go back again me and my family loved it.

We have just come back from a fabulous stay at The Gannet Inn. We had the best time and we couldn’t fault the hotel in any way. We received an upgrade from Martina who gave us the best check in experience. She is so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The food was great and using the facilities at the Carbis Bay Hotel was the icing on the cake! We can’t wait to return.

The atmosphere, service and quality of food is exceptional! This is definitely my go to place for a nice meal out!

This hotel is fabulous. Lovely rooms, great location for Carbis bay and St Ives. What really makes this hotel though. Is the staff. Friendly, smiley, helpful and accommodating. From the cleaning ladies, receptionist, waiting staff and of course the amazing food the chefs produce. All great members of staff! Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Just arrived back from The Gannet Inn have to say, what a wonderful place, from walking in and greeted by the lovely Helen, her professionalism is something very seldom seen these days, I am also Gluten-free and can honestly say is the nicest food I have had in a long time, we are staying at The Carbis Bay Hotel and for the food this is definitely our favorite, will be definitely back😀👌

We had the most amazing awesome time at The Gannet Inn for the last 2 nights the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was to much trouble with them remembering it was my birthday with a card and chocolate treat left, the room was lovely and comfortable and the Spa at The Carbis Bay was a wonderful treat. I will definitely spend my birthday here again. Thank you.

Waitress that greeted us was a little inattentive. No water offered. Wine glass had lipstick on! Took a while for wine arrive. Food was good a little pricey. Lighting very dark, had to use lighting from kitchen to read the menu!

The food… omg it is bloody lush it is! Superb clean rooms, lovely people working in the bar and restaurant. They work hard to make the place work and be the top quality hotel it is. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Lovely food and brilliant service.

Staff kind friendly and accommadating nothing too much trouble, really lovely environment calm and relaxed ideal for pre Christmas lunch. Food was excellent and very reasonable prices would definitely go again. Will also be taking extended family when next down and covid restrictions lifted. Thanks for a lovely couple of hours away from the Christmas chaos ☺️

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Lunch at The Gannet Inn. Lovely welcoming staff and delicious food. Service was great and felt safe regarding Covid measures in place. Love the decor too! Hope to return for lunch/dinner during the rest of our stay.

Here at the moment it's our 2nd visit … didn't think it could get any better but it has. Honeysuckle room is amazing. The food is fresh local and outstanding. Big thanks to James the bar manager made our visit fun.

Absolutely stunning! We stayed in the gorgeous gannet room over looking the sea, couldn't of been more perfect. The staff are an absolute asset to the hotel, they are all so friendly and welcoming. The decor is gorgeous and the food is amazing! Best breakfast I've ever had. Thank you for a wonderful stay — best black Friday deal ever!

Amazing food and service. I have tried a few dishes here and all amazing! Tonight I tried the standard gammon, and my god was the best I have ever had. Definitely far away from standard. I have never in my life had this meal melt in my mouth in such ways! So succulent and tender. Anywhere else I go now for a gammon will be plain. Amazing!

We are on our 3rd night at this fantastic hotel. Highly recommend. Helen and her staff can't do enough for you. We arrived for a much needed relaxing time so chose this hotel for that and we are so glad we did. We have a sea view room which is just perfect. Been to the Carbis Bay to use the facilities which are great… the food at the Gannet is amazing. Being here for 3 days/nights we've had lots of different foods and it's all been perfect. Hats off to the chefs. We will 100% be returning to this fabulous hotel. Thank you Helen for making our stay so perfect.

We went to Gannet Inn for dinner tonight, the starter was nice, my main course was their specials sirloin stake, roasted potato were cold and obviously from leftovers, I returned it, then the beef was very dry and over cooked… potato were warm but still tasted like leftovers, in addition, not very tasty side dishes either, very disappointed by the quality of the food from such over rated restaurant. The worst sirloin stake I ever had in a restaurant…

Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. The duck lollipop was delicious, the chicken Kiev was very generous with lots of garlic sauce, everything was cooked to perfection and the cheesecake portion was big enough to feed three. Friendly helpful staff made a lovely evening.

Table booking recommended as it can get busy. We ended up chilling in the lounge with drinks and ordered our meal. Once meal was ready we were taken to our table… I loved this concept as we didn't feel like we waited long! All plates coming out of the kitchen were all very well presented food! We tried the pork loin and lamb shoulder meatloaf (kicking myself I didn't take pictures before tucking in! ). Dessert of the day, highly recommend the lemon posset if on offer… deliciously good. The ambience was lovely and staff are very knowledgeable of the menu on offer and very friendly and approachable. All in all a perfectly nice evening meal.

We stayed here for our 30th Wedding Anniversary as a treat from our children and was everything we could have wished for. This hotel was fantastic. Food, room, staff and location was amazing. Thank you also for the thoughtful gift in our room of chocolate coated fruit, it was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend and will most certainly visit again. Joanne and Gary Darke.

We had a recent family reunion at the Gannet Inn in St Ives. Despite our large numbers, the Staff were very accommodating and cooked tasty meals for us all and served it with great precision and timing. The surrounding enviroment made for a great get together for which we now have great memories. On behalf of our family, thank you for accommodating us at such short notice and ensuring that we were comfortable.

It is the cleanest hotel in St Ives, all the rooms have a lot of space and the furniture is new and modern, It is a fantastic hotel.

Such a beautiful hotel. We arrived for second part of our honeymoon. The room was lovely, comfy bed & big bath. The location is great not too far from the main eateries & shops. We arrived to cocktails in the bar which were amazing. We are in the restaurant & my husband said it was the best steak he’d had. We were able to use the Carbis bay hotel spa facilities & spent the morning in the heated pool & relaxation room which was a lovely start to the day. This hotel is lovely but it’s made even better by the friendly staff who go above & beyond to make you feel at home. Thank you for recovering our honeymoon from its poor start x.

A hidden gem in St Ives! We stayed for one night as a surprise birthday celebration. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive, making every effort to make our stay special. The decor was beautiful and the food in the restaurant excellent value and great quality. We visited the mother hotel the Carbis Bay Hotel to use the spa facilities and the staff were equally as attentive and the views and facilities amazing. Definitely be back! Highly recommended.

We booked with the Atlantic they transferred us to the gannet, both excellent The staff were very helpful and friendly looking for the best to us indeed we had the best. We are very grateful. Truly recommended.

We have just returned from the Gannet Inn and what a wonderful time we had.
We arrived early and our room was ready and we received a complimentary upgrade.
Martina on reception was so welcoming and informative. Lovely room with a view of the sea.
The location is walking distance into St Ives along the coastal path, lovely interior and a very nice bar area. Our room was lovely and a very nice bathroom. We had an Evening meal and great cocktails and breakfast was also lovely, great selection.
You can use the spa and pool facilities at the sister hotel the Carbis Bay Hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book to come back.

We are local (3 roads away in fact) and have eaten regularly on average 3 times a week. Food started off ok, but on 3 separate occasions food has been uncooked. We have been bringing friends from London and Hampshire. A burger turned up red raw in the middle, donuts have been uncooked and the pastry on the pie was uncooked and doughy. I went in the other day ordered a steak sandwich sat for 15 mins to be told kitchen was closed. Really poor service no sign up to warn diners. Complained no response. Too many agency chefs that can't cook well all of the time. Also Sunday lunch one week 3 slices of pork the following weekend 1 slice and 2 potato halves no consistency in quality. There are other places in St Ives that offer the quality all of the time.

Very friendly staff and friendly locals using the bar facilities. Nice decor and excellent food. Shame there was no guttering where people smoke outside as water was continuously dripping onto people from the flat roof.

Recently visited the gannet inn, my other half's meal was lovely but unfortunately I chose the chicken ceaser salad. Salad was gritty and all I got was an apology so still ended up paying for a gritty salad. Salad was over dressed with too much parmesan. Decorated lovely inside but sometimes I think the deco overrides the food.

Staff are great and really friendly. The bar is a bit depressing and needs a rethink. Breakfast service is ok but a few small adjustments could make the whole thing a better experience.

Restaurant is nicely laid out. I had a birthday meal here with family but was disappointed with the food I ordered and I thought it was overpriced.

Very newly refurbished hotel — rooms are very tastefully deocrated. Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful food.

Food good but a little overpriced. I have eaten at many fine dining restaurants and the price was more in line with the not just the food but the while experience.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted with very friendly service, and were then extemely pleased to be shown to our double room with large open windows, along with a beautiful and comfortable four poster bed (complete with curtains), all in very well kept order with a reasonably sized en suite. We did understand before going, there is a pub area downstairs, but my boyfriend and I tend to stay out late when we are away anyway. The few nights we did spend in, we didn't find the noise level high enough to be an issue. There is a friendly, and at some times, lively atmosphere at this hotel. I found that for the size, service, situation, and ease of coming and going, this is the perfect place for an active couple's holiday.
