Simply perfect. My husband and I had a wonderful mini break at The Scarlet. Exquisite Food. Lovely Staff. Gorgeous facilities. Stunning location and views. Would 💯 recommend for everyone. The scarlet was the best hotel I have stayed at, the just right room was perfect with lovely sea views from our bed and direct access to the spa area. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we got there. I can't wait to come back again.

Really dissapointing visit for our anniversary. After waiting and saving so many years the bubble was burst. Poor service, cold spas, paying extra for the hot tub even though we have already forked out an enormous amount already, corrridors lined with linen at 8pm when you’re relaxing and dining. Not the exemplary visit I was hoping for — room was very basic but thankfully they had the views to make up for the rest. Sorry Scarlet — wishing I could recommend but I simply cannot. I think some serious inward looking would be useful for you all. Even on a weekend it wasn’t full of people coming for spa days which would be concerning to me.

Luxurious but relaxing with attentive and friendly staff. The whole hotel is created around being eco friendly and Cornish to its very roots. Amazing walks and pamper opportunities, with outstandingly beautiful food.

We had our honeymoon at Scarlet Hotel and it was a dream! It was the next best thing when covid rules were still up in the air! From the moment we got there to the moment we left, we were really looked after and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had a spa treatment, rhassoul and hot tub experience which were all amazing, and the ladies we had for our treatments were lovely. We were really lucky with the weather whilst we were there. The food was absolutely incredible and we now have a new favourite cheese! 😍 100% would love to stay here again, and would recommend to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay on their adult only vacation.

Helpful attentive staff. Modern rooms. Ours was huge (no 6). Balcony overlooking Mawgan Porth beach. Great spa and outdoor hot tubs. Supper and breakfast were delicious.

Everything about a recent 2 night Spa break was wonderful from the attentive friendly staff, the room, the views, the delicious food, the hot tub …. The pool and a bonus with good weather and ambiance.

We went for a spa day here and can’t rate it enough, everything was amazing the staff are lovely and the views were beyond anything I’ve ever seen. We had a lovely afternoon tea and made use of all the facilities! The cliff hot tub & sauna is a real treat. Can’t wait to go back and stay next time. Such peace and tranquility. Thank you scarlet!

This hotel is the ultimate in luxury getaways. What a beautiful relaxing spot! The staff are so friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The spa, restaurant and bar areas are so inviting. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

We had the most amazing spa day. Such a beautiful venue and the outdoor hot tub was something else! All of the staff were fantastic.

Had the best massages ever yesterday, so relaxing just what we needed. And a v delish lunch, was a complete treat!

You can’t beat the sea view from the bedrooms, the incredibly relaxing spa, the cliff top hot tub or the relaxing and welcoming vibes of the hotel. Have been three times this year and would recommend to anyone who needs some space, nature and vitamin sea!

Very unique and quirky with interesting artwork all around the hotel. Not the usual shells and seaside theme adopted by most hotels which makes a refreshing change. Fabulous location with direct access to the beach from the garden rooms. Lovely food and helpful staff. Stunning place and well worth a stay or visit. Shall return.

Came here for lunch… lovely views from the restaurant and the food was excellent… very quiet as shutting down again for 2nd lockdown but I will be back for the spa day when reopened… stay safe guys.

Looking at remarks on other feedback sites they have obviously had their issues since the reopening.
From our experience all was well with the high standards pre Covid 19 in place.
Breakfast and Dinner Menus may be limited but the quality is excellent.
Treatments in the Spar are understandably limited but what was available was to the usual high standard.
Would thoroughly recommend and we will be returning.

Stayed before lockdown and it was great.
Supposed to be staying July 2020 and they are impossible to phone, not even an answering machine, just call back later message. Eventually spoke to someone and they said we are too late to book for the restaurant, we should have booked full board! Very poor customer service, not felt welcomed even before we are supposed to arrive … Certainly no customer first attitude here now.

Always very attentive to the guests. Smart designed hotel. Truly amazing views. Nice spa. Good food.

Amazing in every way and the staff really do shine. I hope they get treated well and get looked after as much as we felt looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so accomodating from start to finish. Thank you!

I arrived growling and left serene and restored. Absolutely loved this hotel. Well worth a visit. I always wanted to visit and now that I have, it has exceeded my expectations x.

My Daughter treated us to a fabulous day here for my 50th birthday April 2018. The sun was shining and had the best time with the facilities available. Treatments were great and really enjoyed outside with the hot tubs and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food and prosecco.
The view and my Daughters company was bliss. Very lovely and special day.

We had an amazing stay at the scarlet for my husbands 30th. The rooms are fantastic, the view we had was stunning, though the view from any point in the hotel/spa was stunning.
The food was really nice, and the service was great.
The spa was amazing, highly recommend sitting in the hot tub sipping Prosecco admiring the view, not a care in the world!
We felt completely relaxed our whole stay.

Thank you to the amazing Spa staff and therapists who ensured that myself and my mum had the most relaxing, well deserved day yesterday! It is not often you get waited on hand and foot and to see staff who are genuinely enjoying their job by pleasing others! The food was incredible, the best we have had in a long time! Also to the valet, you never judged my Astra family car against the porches and Mercedes! We will be back, thank you!

We have stayed a couple of time and each time is as lovely as the last.

Such a magical place where the atmosphere is warm & welcoming, the food is creative & fresh and the staff are all attentive and approachable. A luxurious place to truly relax.

Having read lots of incredibly positive reviews I was expecting big things and wasn't sure whether this place would meet my expectations but it definitely did. In my head I had lots of ideas for things to do in Cornwall while we were there but the reality was that the hotel was so nice we didn't want to leave. It felt immediately homely and like you could be anywhere in the hotel and be looked after whilst also feeling relaxed and comfortable. All the details had been thought through. The breakfast was FANTASTIC. You order from a three course menu which in my mind is far better than an all you can eat, buffet situation. We ate dinner there on one night and that was delicious too. The spa treatments were incredible. I've never felt so relaxed. The views were stunning. The only small fault I could pick out was the size of the beds. I know you could spend more money and get king sized beds but I felt like, at that cost, all rooms should have had atleast a king size. But it probably wouldn't have bothered me so much if I wasn't pregnant and in need of all the space I can get! Other than that the 'just right' rooms were just that! I can't wait to revisit this place.

As good as we had hoped, if not better. Excellent spa, the room was lovely and the surrounding area is great for walks (we went in winter — not quite swimming weather…). The restaurant was also very good — definitely recommend having dinner there.

The ethos is spot on, the staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The view is great and the food has vastly improved in the past few year (I've been 5 times! ). One aspect I particularly love is being able to order complimentary tea / coffee wherever you are in the hotel. I left one star off because I think the premium price for the rooms is slightly too high, and I was disappointed to have to pay £20 to use a hot tub for half an hour. They should be free to use at the nightly rate, so it seems greedy to charge extra. Otherwise, it's a relaxing place in a beautiful part of the UK and well worth a visit.

Very relaxing stay with good food and cheerful staff. I've never drunk so much tea :) the room was warm and had a great view of the bay. We had fun playing pool, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the chill out lounge. Dinner was delicious and breakfast in bed was a treat. Worth the visit!

Stunning location. Amazing hotel with superb views and fantastic staff. From the minute you arrive the staff make you feel at home. There are plenty of comfortable lounges to sit and relax in as well as terraces and balconies if you want sit outside. Venture a little further to find sheltered pods overlooking the sea where you can sit and watch the waves running up the beach. Cliff top hot tubs are definitely not to be missed. The restaurant offers a menu that varies every evening and a wine list that covers every taste and occasion. The rooms are simply perfect, with sea views and everything you need. I will definitely be back for more indulgence and pampering.

Amazing setting, rooms with views over the sea, top spa facilities and tasty food! All based around natural Ayurvedic principles. Staff have been really great and super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended for a couple's getaway.

Great place but let down by the restaurant staff who need to work out how to cater for a market that potentially spend 500 a night like I did. The upstairs staff were faultless.

A relaxed and welcoming hotel, full of beautiful, original art and delicious smells! There lots of comfortable places to sit and relax and admire the stunning views of the sea. The rooms are gorgeous, the spa treatments are wonderful and don't miss out on sitting in a cliff top hot tub with a glass of something sparkly! The staff are all very friendly and helpful and although it's an expensive treat it's a memorable and joyful one.

The decor isn’t my personal style and I really value aesthetics hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. However the food, the service and the overall experience was second to none. Meal was exception, spa treatments were wonderful and the hot tub on the cliff was very memorable. The staff couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay pleasurable. Best restaurant in Newquay.

Simply superb, from the location, staff, spa, facilities and food, our stay was literally perfect. The staff could not do enough to help, our open plan room with a panoramic view of the beach was perfect, luxurious, well appointed and a good size. The best thing of course is no mobile phone signal, however there is high speed Wi-Fi if you need to be in touch with the outside world. We will be back, that's a certainty!

Great location, helpful staff, peaceful and relaxing, adults only, dog friendly, yummy cream tea with home made scones, fabulous coffee… and that's just for an afternoon of heaven
Staying over for a few days is just as wonderful… amazing sea view rooms, fabulous room service, fantastic breakfast, superb dinners in the restaurant, caring staff and the best Spa Days ever

Wow what an amazing place! The views are breathtaking, the attention to detail second to none, but most of all the staff — from the moment we were greeted (at the non reception area) to the bearded guy who bought us a tray of tea in the morning (we nic named him "happy fella"), to the young eccentric guy who enthusiastically explained every glass of wine on our 'wine flight' dining experience, to the hip young guy who looked after us in our cliff top hot tub (and who humoured us when we refused to get out! ), to the fabulous waitress in the dining room where she said "perfect " at every plate served, to our final hours where the yoga pant reception team helped us store luggage, get luggage back again (forgot I needed something out of the case), to phoning a taxi to even printing off our boarding cards for the flight home. Thank you so much to you all. What a fabulous place where top class service and professionalism really doesn't mean stuffiness, stiffness and awkwardness. We'll be back!

Wonderful views of the sunset overlooking the bay. The main course and wine were excellent. The starters a little disappointing. The staff were very helpful.

I absolutely loved my stay! Everyone at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The view from the room is spectacular. Would like to thank Lisa for going above and beyond in making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. I cannot wait to go back there again.

If I could give 6 stars I would! The building itself is incredibly well thought out and clearly designed to make the most of this stunning location. Definitely more 'retreat' than 'hotel'. The facilities are top notch (I especially enjoyed the pool) and my skin still looks/feels great 3 days after my facial. Love the eco-ethos which they manage to combine with full-on luxury. The staff are fabulous and a credit to the manager, who couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Restaurant was lovely (even for the fussy eaters amongst us) and the cliff-top hot tub is a must. This is first class without the pretentiousness. Loved it!

We chose this hotel to host our intimate wedding ceremony and was not disappointed. Beautiful rooms with spectacular views across the bay and open ocean, delicious food, laid back friendly and attentive staff, hot tubs on the cliff facing the sea… We will be back to celebrate our anniversaries!

Great in the winter. Lovely tea and a super place to wait for the wife. Great access to one of Cornwall's great beaches. I recommend the hot tub.

Second time visiting and we will definitely be back again. The Scarlet staff are outstanding and very welcoming. We have two little dogs that make themselves at home, they would probably stay if they could… the experience is so good. I don't even need to really mention just how good the food, wine and rooms are… it is all just are amazing. If you are up for walking, you have two great cliff hikes a shorter 8km return trip to Watergate Bay which has a few bars/restaurants or the more adventurous north walk for as long you like e. G: around 15-20km to Padstow.

My partner took me here last Thursday for my birthday and the hotel was absolutely beautiful it was clean and the staff were amazing. It was a very posh hotel but the staff were dressed relaxed which I loved as it made me feel more comfortable and relaxed too. The food was absolutely beautiful every single thing I ate was to die for the best food I have had for years and years. The staff was always making sure that we were ok and if we needed anything else. I was greeted by a lady at reception when we checked in did not got her name long dark hair in a ponytail and glasses but she showed us around the hotel and was very chatty and friendly. There was a young lady called Ellie who was based in the spa area she said it was her first week later on in the day, I honestly thought she had been there for a while as she seemed comfortable in the environment she was working in. She was very friendly and smiley and made our experience enjoyable by chatting to us and making sure we were ok and also pull all the stops so we could eat during our spa in a lounge which was based upstairs in our robes. Stacey was fantastic he looked after us at the hot tub he made our experience memorable by providing us drinks and asked 'if we wanted photos taken he would be more than happy to' which was brilliant as the hot tub was in a beautiful spot.
