All the staff were so friendly and very welcoming. Food was amazing. Great place to stay, rooms are very clean and spacious.

We had a fantastic meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Great price for the quality and size of the meal. Stayed overnight in very comfortable and well appointed room. Staff very accommodating about early start and offered to make early breakfast.

As a regular visitor to Penzance I often call in this pub for a pint of Rattler Cider. Last week was the first time I ate there and the food was excellent and very good value, with first class service. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Paris (hope I have spelt it correctly) and the lady who was working at the bar.
I very much look forward to my next visit. Thank you!

Enjoyed my first visit to this lovely, quaint tavern. The staff were friendly, welcoming us the second we walked through the door. There were plenty of drinks options available and the menu was plentiful. I had a delicious herb crusted fillet of hake served on a bed of mash with Parma ham and cherry tomatoes. Very filling and incredibly tasty! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Penzance and I’ve recommended you to my parents for their next visit ☺️

Just back from a 2 night stay at The Dolphin. Nice room with several little extras, extremely friendly, helpful staff, lovely evening meal and fantastic breakfasts. Would recommend.

Very friendly barstaff. The chicken caeser salad I ordered was enormous and very tasty. I ordered a side of chips as well which filled up up so much we didn't have room for another pint. Just as well as at £4.20 a pint — 90 pence a pint more than my village local — was a bit rich. Nevertheless a good experience.

We stopped overnight in Penzance for the Scillionian sailing to St. Mary’s in the morning, lovely friendly pub and good food.

Lovely pub on the edge of Penzance near the pool. They keep the beer very well and there's a decent choice. The inside is decorated with lots of cool nautical themed stuff too; very atmospheric.

I arrived and was hoping to sit outside with my food. I ordered my food, but there were no available tables outside. The staff were brilliant in freeing up a table inside as every other table had been reserved. I had the Ham, egg and chips which arrived very quickly considering how busy they were. The food was really nice and appeared to be freshly cooked. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone however, I would recommend booking a table beforehand.

Lovely place with plenty of space. Great service. Disappointed that the the steaks we ordered which cost over £16 each came with frozen peas and thin oven chips barely cooked. Steaks were gorgeous and deserved proper chips and vegetables with them.

Great early tea tonight after a king drive to Newlyn. Delicious fresh herb crumb hake and new potatoes. Definitely recommend.

This has to be the best place to eat in Penzance… actually the best place to eat in all of Cornwall. The food is amazing. I can highly reccomend the mushroom sizzler. The menu is very well priced and the food beautiful. The icing on the cake was the exceptional service from the staff. Thank you dolphin tavern. I shall come again.

Lovely welcome from the host we had a brilliant duo of fish from the menu with saffron new potatoes with Brockley the taste was great a large portion too well worth the money, dog friendly on the harbour side.

Nice food and reasonable prices. We enjoyed a pleasant lunch here. While the views may not be spectacular, sitting outside, there's a fairly comprehensive series of bits of views of a corner of the harbour; fields in the surrounding hills; the tip of St. Michael's Mount and the Watershed Meadery.

Food is quite average. Sole was fried on one side only. Fish and chips were as one may expect. No service outside and no mayonaise or salt were provided, meaning I had to get it myself. In the meantime a cheeky seagull tried to steal some food of my plate. Not really ideal. Nice outdoor seating at picknic tables seating in the sun though.

After the most wonderful swim and sunbathe at Jubilee Pool, with lots of space to spread out, and fresh warm sea water to recharge our batteries, we ambled around the corner to The Dolphin, WOW, the most awesome and generously lavish Newlyn Crab sandwiches, so tasty, reasonably priced, washed down with the most crisp, fresh pint of Carlsberg, no nasty after taste, no hint pump cleaning solutions and a wonderful and polite but friendly service by a well known thesbian. Thank you madam x.

Only been in Penzance for two days and had our evening here both times the menu is fantastic plenty of choice the sizzling chicken is amazing,, only downside is there's so much to eat you've no room for a sweet. They have a great choice of drinks as well All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

Excellent all over. Helpful staff and management. Made to feel welcome from the start. Great selection on all Menu's (Starter, main, dessert, drink, wine etc). Cannot fault anything keep up the good work to everyone involved!

I ' m gonna put this compliment in Chinese, you deserve a five star and it's a great place all Chinese down here should Visi T. Small bar Inexpensive, the use of fish are from the nearby Port Newlyn, but also a delicious meat food provided. (But Newlyn's Restaurant provides more fresh seafood, less meat, I can not go with seafood allergy Friends) Recommended Newlyn crab& prawn Cocktail head plate, too delicious and a lot of crab meat.
And ordered a second eat yummy! The halibut in the dinner was also very large.
It's good to use sea salt for seasoning. The most important thing is that the bar's little sister Yan value is very high! haha haha.

Wonderful time here on a weekend break as a couple. Spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely. I'd highly recommend The Dolphin Inn.

We called in the Dolphin (which came recommended) for an evening meal, nice pub, beer good but I must say I was a little disappointed with the cost of the meal. I chose the ham & eggs, the ham was freshly sliced (tasty) but what was disappointing was the price £10.95 for what looked like the chips came from Lidl or Aldi, the eggs (2) o. K, so tell me where that deserves a price tag of £10.95 not great value for money at all.!

From Italian I say that they absolutely do not have the concept of the fish, for the British do not know. For me from 1 to 5 I give 1

Fantastic food at pretty decent prices, would definitely come back again and my fussy girlfriend thinks it's the best pasta she has ever had so win win.

Great food really good beer, but its unfortunately not quite got the balance right between being a pub and restaurant. Were asked to move to a different table once we finished food and were moved to two stools in the middle of the pub crammed in between others who were eating their food. It seems once they had got the money for food they were no longer happy to accommodate us. Another Cornish pub that has just cashed in…

Pleasant pub, good service, good food reasonably priced. G&T and a pint was dearest so far in Cornwall but did ask for Hendricks which I know is not cheap!

Seven of us dined early evening, food was very good, prawn and crab starter was great and liver in gravy with mash hit the spot! Service was good as well, thank you guys from seven hungry tired diners!

We stopped in for a quick lunch. 4 adults had the specials including locally caught lemon sole. Absolutely beautiful food, fresh and coupled with quick, happy service. We also brought our young son (16 months old) and he had the fish and chips which was from locally caught haddock. It is so nice to have kids food that isn't just frozen food. Great food, quickly served, reasonably priced. Will come back again and again when we visit Penzance.

Very helpful in a friendly environment and interesting, tasteful decor. Plenty of choice on the evening menu and they take food orders until 9.30pm which appears to be unusual in the town at this time of year. Would visit again to eat and would consider staying at there too. Only metres from the Isles of Scilly ferry port.

Great staff, always friendly and polite. Food is always excellent and constant. The landlord knows how to keep excellent real ale, never had a bad pint!

Good corner location in classic Cornish seaside town. Reasonable beer selection. Bit of a wait for food or even a table.

A pint and a few games of Fluxx. The tables are a bit sticky could do with a thorough clean but the pub was very nice and the staff friendly. We didn't eat but the food looked good.

I have just finished a wonderful rump steak meal washed down with a first class pint of Rattler's. Very nice pub and excellent staff. All in all, worth a visit.

The place deftly is cozy and nice. But the food is far from being even close to good. Their Sunday special — crab risotto with a fish (that I cannot really recall. Thank the good old Cornish beer for that which btw I really enjoyed) fillet was absolutely inedible. I would never recommend this place for food! However, the service was definitely good.

Dog Friendly. The pub allows dogs in the bar area as long as they're well behaved and on a lead. The food was good and they had done really good vegetarian options. The decor is dark wood with a lot of sailing paraphernalia. There's also a good range of beers and a draught stout on offer.

Great location. Easy in and out of town for exploring the area. Easy walking distance to shops, the cinema (England's oldest continually running movie theatre. ) and a nice view of St. Michael's Mount. The food is great too.
