Mary Robinson. Just had a really comfortable stay at Mere Cottage for 4 nights.
Sue was very accommodating, and nothing was too much trouble. There was every facility necessary and very clean. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent. Both rooms I've stayed in have been really clean and cosy. The lady in charge is lovely and attentive. The breakfast is spot on, everything is available at the time you need it. Would recommend.

Nice place to stay, owners are very helpful, handy place to walk to local restaurant.

Off road parking for 3 cars on the front. Also I believe you can park nextdoor which is also off road and under lighting. The Outlook of Mere Cottage is Beautiful. Ring the bell and you get a warm welcome from the Owner. We have stayed in 3 of the double rooms now, all of which are lovely. But The Hemingway room is something special and so our Favourite.
Beds are really comfy… pillows we loved. Even asked what make they were, getting some for ourselves.
Mrs is a proper foodie, very particular on how things are cooked also presentation. So pleased to say that breakfast was fantastic on each visit. A selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and coffee before your full English, plus toast (which there is a choice) … all this over looking a garden through patio doors…
Within 5 minutes walk are a couple of traditional pubs, Italian restaurant, several shops etc… if you fancy a dance there is Bank Corner which we enjoyed…
Not sure what else to say… but I am pretty certain you will not be disappointed.

Have stayed a few times with my daughter &we have always been made most welcome. Rooms are very pleasant &beds comfy. Always look forward to breakfast, even had oatcakes which reminded me of childhood living in Sneyd Green near Hanley many years ago!

I've stayed here a good few times a great place and a real nice welcome, lovely rooms comfy beds and a fine breakfast with homemade jams too.

Stayed 4 nights very friendly welcome, lovely twin room, really comfortable beds, very clean, excellent cooked breakfast, fresh fruit salad ect also available, would highly recommend it to anyone and hope to go back in the near future.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, beautiful rooms, comfy beds and lovely views of the garden if you are lucky enough to have an onlooking room. Very welcoming hosts!
