Not only does Shangri-la Hotel have beautiful spacious rooms, excellent staff, it is located on a pristine beach of Abu Dhabi facing the Magnificent Sheikh Al Zayed Mosque. I would love to come back as I only stayed 1 night instead of my full 4 days. I was not able to take full advantage of beach and pool due to quarantine restrictions. Unfortunately, I did not know about the 10 day quarantine beforehand. So sad I could cry.

Our fourth visit. Really friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay a memorable experience. Food is great, rooms are very comfortable, bar and lounge areas are impressive and the pool / beach facilities are spot on. The hotel is really well positioned for all attractions. Beaches are very amazing, and the staff also very accomodated, and approachable to the costumers I really like it.

Suites are spacious and quiet.
Great location, and just a stroll away from Qaryat Al Beri Souk where there are quite a few restaurants to choose from, various shops, supermarket and Baskin Robins Ice cream parlour.
Stayed twice as a club lounge guest and no doubt will be returning at some point.

The location is great, close to most things.
The staff is unbelievably helpful, thoughtful and spot on with everything they do.
We have been fortunate enough to be staying in the Residence section of this hotel and we have been so spoilt in every way.
The residences are huge and comfortable, it's just like being at home.

Staying for just one night was not enough! I plan to return again soon enough. The service was wonderful. Breakfast was superb. We were fortunate enough to get a late checkout which was great fully appreciated. The poolside vibe on Saturday afternoon was perfect. DJ and cocktails. Absolutely loved it. Hotel was too good, it's ambience was awesome. Rooms were luxurious with comfortable tidy beds. The bath tub in the room was so relaxing, sound system all over the room! excellent furniture. The theme of hotel was based on Arabic culture with modern ideas! Swimming pools attached to sea gives it a more beautiful feeling!
Room services were active! Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant sofra makes the appetite goes crazy as there was infinite yummy dishes to fill your tummy! Excellent experience one must go there to have cosy and relaxing time! Cheers.

Overall good two-night staycation but just a little hassle upon check in, the reception quoted us an amount way beyond the booking charges. I have to ask for detailed charges and show them the reservation fees. They agreed to amend the room rate!

Extremely clean hotel only positive note. Ugly sea and bad smell every day on the shore there are dead fish, much better the pool. Reception in the hotel traumatic despite Having already paid me a deposit to cover the stay. Not only that, they readily emptied the fridge bar as well. Exorbitant prices within the property probably dictated by the star rating.

The room was comfortable and bathroom was well equipped. Few issues: Ac wasnt working properly. Both rooms has complains about sweat leading sleep to break. Additional bed in premiere room was uncomfortable. Could feel the springs hence not a good quality one. Have a complete channel list for kids to choose from specially in summer when they need to be indoors for the hot hours. Breakfast buffet was not up to mark. Very less options specially in breads. Many items looked like they were recycled from dinner.

This is a totally different proposition to any other Shangri-La and is more a resort within a self-contained suburb. The hotel, service and staff are again amazing and super friendly. Starting with the airport pick-up, to check-in, to walking into our spacious and well appointed room. Fairly close proximity to malls, attractions and entertainment, if you wanted to go further there is a daily shuttle and a taxi service available if you wanted to leave the resort. It's definitely worth every cent and can't wait to go back and stay there again!

One of my current favourite hotels in Abu Dhabi. The staff are very courteous, friendly and hospitable. They take care of every little thing right from the time you check in. It's by far one of the best hotel to stay at while you are in Abu Dhabi. Their service is impeccable, ambience is great and food is equally delicious.

Our experience from start to finish exceeded all expectations. The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely incredible — the chef even prepared special vegetarian meals for me and went above and beyond. The facilities were clean and extremely relaxing. Staff were all so helpful and we will definitely be returning again!

Over all my stay was superb. The staff and facilities were superb. Service was outstanding. Restaurants were exceptional. The reason I rated you 4 instead of 5 was because your shower products were in these square containers. Although the presentation looked nice, the shape of the containers were not practical. It was difficult to get the shampoo, shower gel, and (especially) the conditioner out of the container. Quite frustrating! I highly recommend changing the containers these items come in.

The staff is very nice: reception/concierge/restaurants (Karolina, Durgh, Sushila, Sujeet, Joby, Khalifa…), room service (Shahadat Khan) and the Beach Club "Al Safeer Club" (Nilan, Mahara & Isher) However, it is a pity that being a member " Golden Circle ", it took that after 48 hours, I remind him at the reception…
And, the hotel was not full no one offered to upgrade us while we had booked (7Nights) a suite (#221), the only proposal was with an extra charge of 200 €/day… (Not very elegant one over-tax on arrival)
Finally, the restoration is of very high quality, it is necessary maybe just strengthened the teams at stand sushi because it is lonely and overwhelmed the poor and therefore more very amiable…
But, overall very good surprise and experience!

The hotel is gorgeous. The scent that the hotel has is very amusing and perfect. The staff are very very nice and go far and beyond for the guests. The rooms are spacious and super clean. The hotel thinks about every detail to make everyone feel special. I will definitely will stay there again.

I’ve stayed here several times before. This time was the best of all best. Staff were truly I retested in us. Room 627 was picture perfect snd lovely view. Couldn’t be happier with breakfast and dinner there. Commendations to your chefs and servers.

Nice Hotel and Service. Great rooms! Great food — would recommend to also visit one of the 3 restaurants. Service in the pool area needs to be improved and especially on the beach. Staff made a smug impression sometimes and were asking not enough if somebody wants a drink or similar. Invoice at the end of the stay was not understandable. If we had questions regarding the single positions it was not possible to have a look at this. But in general a great stay and hotel to relax.

We spent a week in this beautiful place. No matter where you go, you are always treated first class, very accommodating and incredibly friendly. Whether it is the room service or the staff on the beaches or pools. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and certainly has something for everyone. All dishes are freshly prepared and are partly cooked or roasted in front of the guests ' eyes. No matter if you are having breakfast, by the pool, on the beach or on the balcony you will always have a beautiful view of the Sheik Zayed Mosque.
Here there is nothing to complain about everything was in mint condition. Thanks for the great week!

Lovely hotel, we sat down at the terrace outside by the pool. The ambiance was amazing with a classy seating area. Had a variation of drinks which got us chilling for a while. Drinks were pretty good as you would expect from such an establishment. Followed by the buffet indoors which was simply to die for with seafood grill which was a delight. Would certainly recommend.

We feel always very welcome when staying at the Shangri-La again. We appreciate the excellent service and always experience a wonderful vacation, for example the wake-up call with fresh coffee and cookies early in the morning. Especially the team at the Sofra Bld. Makes the stay memorable with their helpfulness and their great efforts.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is really good. The room with a view of the mosque is magical. Very professional staff, always attentive to the customer.

Great service really made our stay, however we preferred the restaurants and bars in the souk and ritz Carlton as they had a lot more atmosphere. Also felt when booking a horizon Premier club room a mosque view should be as standard, we were moved to a mosque view which was fantastic but the initial arrival in the bridge view room was very disappointing. The happy hour at the horizon club could've done with finishing a little later, as a younger couple 530-730 far to early as we're still getting ready to go out. More staff on breakfast service at the horizon club. Found there to be a lot of empty tables with dirty plates on and people waiting to be served. All in all a great stay though but a small few easy to fix things could've really made it amazing. Many thanks!

We came for my birthday and the aircraft specified at the hotel. We had the pleasant surprise of being upgraded to residences. Everything was perfect (cleanliness, comfort, large apartment) the staff very friendly and attentive (beach supervisor present and very attentive, concierge very competent and efficient. A stay unfortunately too short we will return. Me4ci for any.

The best of the best in Abu Dhabi. Excellent level of staff attention. Excellent breakfast and great dinners. Food of excellent flavors and textures as well as its variety (because it has meals according to the origin of its guests). Beautiful decor and spacious rooms with excellent views. Totally recommended.

We come every year, and it's no wonder why. It deserves its 5 star rating in every way. The staff can't do enough, every detail is watched and maintained, the food at the buffet is above what you'd expect at a hotel, and the setting is pristine. The view of the mosque never gets old, and if you can afford the poolside rooms on the first floor… do it!

That hotel is simply the hammer that food is fantastic the pool is super clean that leisure offer is also great we are jet ski driven cost 180 euro for 2 pieces and an hour but we have only been driven by a boat about 10 km to a small island and you N was also allowed to drive if man wanted so overall the Jetski tour took a good 2 hours.
The only negative point I noticed is the Wi-Fi reception on Room 222 Otherwise everything is great.
I don't want to go back to cold Germany.

The hotel itself regardless of the location or the room are good, when afford a veteran of five-star hotel. But from the hotel's service but totally not in a grade. I set up a five-night Premier room, but arrived the hotel the room get it wrong, downgrade to a normal room, the hotel does not have anyone find this problem. Later I have discovered, through Ctrip and the hotel negotiations, the hotel admits is their fault, the third day of the time change back to the Premier Room, there is no anyone to me because it's something to apologize for, just say, will compensate for a dinner. But I talked to the hotel reception and the restaurant to confirm, does anyone know anything about it. Later, after a day finally the restaurant to confirm, run out after dinner or to I got bills to pay. I pointed out the errors, re-signed a free list of. The most ridiculous is in the US check out time or put us in the restaurant that free dinner cost calculations come in, I feel very bad. A five-star hotel, administrative Chaos, repeatedly appeared low-level errors and no serious apologies, next time will not come again, nor recommend it to friends.

On the first day, the cleanliness of the room was not quite top, but the remaining days were good. Some of the items in the room were not refilled, such as shower fluid, glasses, bathrobe… but when you said it, everything was brought right away.
For us Europeans, the climate is simply too strong, we are freezing in the corridor and in the restaurant.
We would recommend the hotel immediately.

The hotel is beautiful, loved our stay here during our time in Abu Dhabi! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the property and room was beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is situated along the river with beach overlooking the grand Sheikh Zayed mosque which provided excellent views throughout the day but especially during sunset. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai!

Breathtaking suite, great breakfast buffet at Sofra, amazing hotel design overall as well as fabulous service at the pool and throughout the hotel (loved receiving dates and coffee every time we entered the lobby). Only issue is that not every employee knew what we were supposed to receive complimentary due to our suite. For example, we initially got charged for transportation from airport to the hotel (got removed after we noticed it on the bill) and we needed some discussions to receive our complimentary morning tea without charge. Certainly these little issues will not keep us from returning to this amazing hotel though.

I was very impressed with the employees' friendliness. Everyone I encountered was very polite, welcoming and incredibly personable without sacrificing any professionalism which was very refreshing to see in a high end hotel. Most other high end hotels seem to be rather "stuffy and robotic" in their approach to customer care which does not feel genuine. It is apparent that management has created a wonderful work environment at Shangri La. Employees seem eager to help and seem to truly care about their customer's experience while at the hotel.

Beautiful 1001 Night Palace with extremely friendly service. Unfortunately, Montezuma's revenge has caught us, again the staff were extremely helpful and around the clock. You feel as part of the family. The beach is small but also great service with water in coolers etc.

Excellent hotel. Great service. Great views of the Grand Mosque. The personnel is so kind and always willing to help and to make sure you enjoy yourself. Lots of activities to do at the beach (jet sky, kayak, etc). Furthermore they have their own little boat for their own little river (awesome! ). The only "BUT" is that it is far away from the city centre, but that is ok if you want you want to get lost and want some privacy.

An incomparable experience shuttle Service, wide choice of restaurants.

My husband and I have lived in Abu Dhabi for 10 years, and Sofra BLD was the first restaurant where we celebrated Christmas Eve dinner our first year. So, for NYE 2018 we decided to go back to Sofra BLD at the Shangri-La Hotel and celebrate our 10 years in the UAE. The Buffet, as usual, had so many choices of quality food and desserts, that it was hard to eat it all! We spent at least 3 hours just trying to make sure we tasted everything before we left! I would highly recommend Sofra BLD for anyone looking for a variety of food from different countries and cuisines! The food is superb no matter which dish you choose at the Buffet! I am sure before my husband and I leave the UAE and return to Atlanta, GA, we will once again visit Sofra BLD for a great meal to remember the UAE.

This hotel is simply amazing. Spent here some hours during a dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant. The staff was very well prepared and the location is nice. If the rooms are as good as the public areas… I would definitively spend some nights here!

Amazing hotel, beautiful views and amenities including four or five great restaurants. It is annoying to have all prices shown without the various taxes, surcharges and service added on top so keep in mind th already expensive prices will be 20% higher when all said and done. Would not be the recommend paying for or the "special upgrade" to the horizon club access that provides "free" beer, wine and basic spirits, it is a boring no atmosphere room that we used one time for 30 minutes and went down to the pool bar instead and paid for drinks. For the most part service was very good but consistently found food and beverage service very slow and often found after waiting for a long time having to wave someone down or follow up. Drinks also took an inordinate amount of time to come out, even a simple beer would take 15 minutes in a quiet period. Everything else was 5 star!

This hotel is in Abu Dhabi near Fairmont Hotel and BMW showroom; between the bridges. This Hotel is locating near the canal. Good view of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is giving a good sight to us. Private beach which is neat and clean with calm atmosphere.

Amazing hotel to stay service is exceptional especially restaurant staff. All the staff are very attentive inc. The lifeguards on the private beach with views of the grand mosque so much to do… it has its own souk and a mini boat to transport you. Worth a visit and stay for the full Shangri La experience…

The staff & kitchen chefs are really helpfully in every way, also the food is the best ever they will go out their way to make sure you are satisfied with everything, nothing is too much trouble at all. The lady chefs are amazing! Especially Kenza outstanding.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights here and everything has been perfect! From the staff in the reception, to the housekeepers, restaurant staff, boatman, pool/beach personnel and gym staff. Everyone was really pleasing and warm. The room had a nice view of the sunset and the Grand Mosque. The pool and beach had this really calming vibe and the food was exceptional! The staff were also nice enough to accommodate some surprise favors. I can say it is the best hotel we have been to, so far. Keep it up, guys! ^_^

It was our 1st experience at the Shangri-la Abu dhabi and we loved the hospitality. The property is luxurious and the view of the Grand mosque from our private room balcony was breathtaking. The infinity pool has a relaxing sunset view. Evening boat ride at the canal gives a romantic Venice feel… it's a must try for the guests.

This is a beautiful hotel. One of the most luxurious & beautiful places I have ever stayed. The food was amazing; I almost didn't want to leave.

Fantastic hotel, great facilities and above all else the staff throughout the hotel are highly professional, helpful, welcoming and offer a 100% genuine warm greeting whatever you do. Wherever you are in the hotel the staff to guest ratio is perfect hence the great and attentive service. We stayed in a Horizon Club room with lounge access, this was perfect and included a great breakfast with lovely egg menu as well as a good choice of other breakfast foods. The club lounge also served evening canapés and free drinks for 2 hours. The pool area was superb with an infinity pool with a view of the Grand Mosque. The pool attendants where first class, laying towels on beds on arrival, every guest is given unlimited bottled water in a small cool box, regular cold flannels and sun glass cleaning, all nice little touches that make this a nice place to stay. Plenty of food choice in the hotel as well as in the Souk attached to the hotel, catering for all tastes and budgets. All round a great place to stay, we will definitely be returning.

The best buffet on Friday and Saturday. The Coffee shop and the bar are prepared to service you with a variety of beverages as well as Coffee and you can smoke a Cuban Cigars. The scenary overlooking the the Gulf is spectacular. Good place to visit.
