Beautiful with an amazing staff.

The staff and amenities are excellent! Close to the airport and many restaurants/shops within walking distance. Beautiful landscape and scenery everywhere!

I found the grounds to be run down, and shabby looking. Weeds are growing everywhere. The bedding was shabby. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy. The pillows were horrible. It’s obvious this place has been neglected for quite a while. It’s too bad. Because it is such a beautiful resort. I will not be returning.

Beautiful location and views. Pool is huge. Beach is large and not to ruff, depending on the weather. Very close to the airport, but planes don't fly over. Rooms very nice and spacious. We have been to this resort a few times and always enjoy coming back!

We absolutely love the Beach Club and have been back many times! Whether ocean front or garden view we love siting on the lanai. It is the perfect location on the island with its own lovely beach area. It has all the amenities you need and plenty of great restaurants nearby (Dukes for one! ) We had a yummy breakfast by the pool at Kukuis one day but tend to like Tip Top Macadamia nut pancakes a short drive away. There are also some take out options on the terrace for reasonable prices. The pool is big and awesome. Love that they have more umbrellas now so you can sit out and read for hours! The kitchenettes are great so you can do some light breakfast or lunch if wanted. The views are picture perfect and you never feel like you are in a crowd. Sharing the pool with Sonesta was not a problem and now you have to use credit card for the yummy cocktails by the pool, but that's fine. We will be back as soon as we can!

We had a great time at the resort. It is right by the beach with a bar and pool. I highly recommend an ocean view room. Will be back!

No words to describe the hotel it’s so beautiful outside and inside classy place bathroom clean staffed great great service and drinks are great everything about the hotel is 5 star not including the pool it’s just wow.

Due do Covid no room cleaning service and hot tubs closed. But I expected that and so it’s not a problem. Love this place, staff is great and the property is beyond what our expectations were.

The property and the staff have been lovely but I can’t recommend this resort due to a very major issue. They have completely suspended all housekeeping of the rooms “supposedly” due to Covid. What sense that makes I have no idea since guests are almost always out of the room during this time. Imagine spending $400+ per night for 2 weeks and your garbage and dirty towels are piling up? No sheet changes or fresh towels unless you call and when you do no one answers? If you can get ahold of sheets you have to change yourself? Am I supposed to buy a full array of cleaning supplies to clean my bathroom while on vacation? Completely insane and unacceptable not to mention gross.

This Hotel is being run with a skeleton staff. I couldn’t even get a check out when we left at 6 am in the morning. I still haven’t gotten a receipt after 3 days. The gym had absolutely no water and no hand towels. Shameful. The staff was seemingly fed up with the ridiculous Covid Restrictions. My room was worn out and below the normal Marriott Standard. The staff seemed disinterested and overwhelmed with their job. Property needs a much needed refresh and positive vibe. Hotel has so much potential with having the ability to surf just out in front. Unfortunately we weren’t able to do that because the constant rain had caused the water to be brown and dirty.

Waking up to the beautiful views of the bay and ocean and mountains is unbelievable! Leaving our sliders open at night so we can hear the waves… gorgeous resort, will come back again and again. Thank you!

Paradise in a beautiful and quiet setting even during the pandemic. I am so fortunate to be an essential worker to enjoy such beauty.

Beautiful resort on the beach. Hotel is huge and takes a day or two to learn to navigate. Loved the Koi feeding and the wait staff at the pool were awesome. Could use more smoking areas that are shaded; spent a lot of time walking just to get to remote smoking areas and bake in the full sun (heard this same complaint from at least a dozen other smokers). Otherwise, loved our stay!

Beautiful grounds. Much of the area of the hotel and golf course is still under construction. It's an artificial resort destination for people whose destination isn't the natural wonders of Kauai. But that being said, it's impressive.

This is a gorgeous Marriott right on the Kalapaki beach. This is the calmest beach on the island, and the sand slopes really gently into the ocean. It is not great for body boarding or surfing or snorkeling, but it is a good place to practice for beginners. Staying here you are also backed by a nice shopping area with food and gift stores. You also have everything you could need a the resort, and it is right next to the airport.

This hotel is gorgeous! The entrance and lobby are iconic to me. The pool reminds me of Ancient Greece. The rooms are great and have fantastic views but there's a lot of electrical outlets in each room. The room service is great as well.

Expensive, but worth it. Everything, except the buffet, was great. Room clean and comfortable. Grounds beautifully maintained. Views are great. And the swimming pool is very large and enjoyable. Around the edge of the pool are 4 or 5 hot tubes. Very relaxing. Next to a great golf course.

Great views, good parking, easy beach access (great swimming and a nice section of wave break for learning board sports). Close to a few tasty restaurants and services (booze and snacks). Staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Beds are comfortable, linens etc… are quality and clean. Close to an industrial area, but not really an issue. Locals fish off the pier/jetty — tourists don't really venture out there, but saw DOZENS of turtles chomping at algae on our evening strolls out and back. Also centrally located for spoke trips to North shore or West/South shore. Also pretty close to grocery and the big box supply stops (5-10min drive). Recommend! Kauai is the chill, laid back Garden isle, come here ready to give and get aloha.

The resort itself is in process of updating it appears. Rooms seem to have new furnishings. The Murphy bed pull out was confusing and not all that comfortable. Having a mini kitchen however is a huge plus! The pools and recreational areas were great. The food at the resort tho needs some work. We really enjoyed Dukes. The food at pool was just OK (expensive for what it was). We ordered sushi on the nights they have sushi and it seems they really like to use a lot of mayo — just not a fan of mayo on a personal note. It was still good, but next time I'd ask for light mayo sauces. We tried the Italian restaurant on site and it was one of the worst meal experiences we've had ever. The employees were all very friendly and nice. I really enjoyed the concierge desk experience. The beach is OK. There are prettier spots on Kauai. All in all I think this location was just not our favorite place to be on Kauai. I enjoyed our stay here, but next time would opt for Poipu.

We had an excellent stay here for our honeymoon. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and professional. They even wrote two personal handwritten letters congratulating us on our marriage, which each accompanied a free bottle of chilled champagne. They also even upgraded us to a partial ocean view room. We could not be happier!

Gorgeous hotel with amazing staff and facilities. You have your own secluded Beach and one of the most beautiful pools I have ever seen. We only stayed two nights but wish we stayed for more. They have tons of activities at the hotel for couples or families to participate in.

1st timer. One of the finer Hawaiian hotels on the water that I have experienced. They are in the middle of refurbishment, so some of the rooms are dated but still kept up well. Superb service, friendly staff, outstanding food, private beach, water slide for the kids and bartenders that know how liven the party. Would live there if I could but will settle for multiple more visits.

We made our first purchase of a week timeshare in Nov. '97 (almost 20 years ago). We bought a second week year before last from a previous owner. (Marriott has a program to assist folks who want to get out of timeshares. ) This property is AWESOME! Most beautiful pool on the island, OUTSTANDING gardens, landscaping, koi pond. Too much to describe here; go online to see just how beautiful this place is. No ADA compliant rooms, some have been modified to be ADA friendly. The staff here is beyond excellent. Everyone is friendly, courteous, and more than willing to help in any way they can. This is our home away from home.

Amenities were good. No stove or in room washer/dryer. 60 inch TV in the main living area. Was disappointed in Dukes fine dinning. Not worth the price for the service or even the experience. After eating at the Dukes in Waikiki I was disappointed the one in Kauai was closed during breakfast. But plenty of other restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. View from the master bedroom was amazing.

We've stayed here as a family several times and love it. It's clean and kept nice. The location is great for beach access along with the pool nearby. It's also a great central place on the island to get around to either side. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

This is a very nice property. It is beautiful and we'll maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Are room was very small since it was located next to the elevators.

Things are a little old, but still kept up to normal Marriott quality which makes it great.

Rooms and elevator could use an update, but the beachfront views are nice. Pool is great. Easy access to a handful of eats and shops.

This was our second extended stay and we were disappointed. They've gotten rid of some of our favorite things like the live jazz bar and poolside grill. Also, the pool was warm borderline hot! Previously, the pool was our favorite part of the hotel but the water was so warm this time it was unpleasant. The rooms are standard hotel rooms, nothing special. We won't be staying again.

Gorgeous facility, pool area, and beach. Loved the wings at Dukes and their mango martini. Great room, great price, nice gym, and lots to do. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Will definitely return.

Nice convenient spot close to LIH airport with nice bay views. Close to food and shopping. Beautiful koi pond in the lobby.

Beautiful resort, you can tell it is an upscale resort. Rooms were nothing special but the grounds are beautiful. Flaming torches everywhere at night and very friendly/helpful staff! Free shuttle to/from airport.

I would like to thank Daniel from the front desk for a marvelous stay. Right when I checked into the hotel, I had mentioned that I was using this trip to Kauai to propose to my girlfriend and needless to say, he surprised us with a bottle of champagne to end the night. Thank you Daniel and Marriott for the exceptional visit to Kauai. Will come back again in the future.

Beautiful place. Great view. Interesting pool and hot tub. Lost one star because this place is not to easy for people with walkers or wheelchairs.

Great resort and central location. Best part is it is 5 minutes from the airport. Hotel provides free shuttle service to/from. We stayed during Christmas and it was beautifully decorated for the season. The guests Received a stocking on each door, filled with local snacks.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can see them at HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… good hotel and nice pool, especially if you have kids. Not the best beach and if you want beach time you'll have to get in a car and go somewhere else. Responsive staff and very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and very nice and seem new, although bathroom door is a slider so a little weird if youre type who needs absolute privacy. Centrally located so easy to get to both sides of island.

Really nice resort. The spa was very pleasant. Best pool I've seen, tho I would have preferred being able to get to some of the hot tubs without getting in the pool, it was a little chilly during our visit. Really nice walks along the rocky shoreline by the golf course and light house. Nice that there's a dukes and the local places just a very short walk away. Nice gift shop as well with lots of snacks, drinks etc. Good mai tais too!

Classic Hawaii Hotel. Large. More than 30 years built in stages. Spacious gardens and hallways. The Fitness Center should incorporate more machines. Renew. It has restaurants, an art gallery and a large swimming pool.

Nice place with restaurants on the grounds and amazing pool oceanfront. Service was great and we didn't wait long for guest service to bring anything we might need. Poolside service included food and beverages and was quick for food return.

Absolutely fantastic ambiance. I’ve been here many times and always look forward to going back. Beautiful hotel with marble everywhere and a gorgeous pool with these fountains and bridges to an island in the middle. It’s like a fantasy! A bar next to the pool for poolside tropical drinks. What more could you want! The beach is secluded in Kalapaki Bay and a good place to try stand up paddle board surfing.

A very beautiful resort but oh so big. Restaurants excellent and staff super friendly and helpful. Facilities outstanding but fitness center needs attention. Beach front beautiful but no close in surf. Not as friendly as some resorts for beach activities. Because of large size of resort be prepared for lots of walking. Rooms excellent but may not get the view you were promised.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, a bit pricey (even by Kauai standard), but is simply one of the most beautiful and romantic locales on the planet. Recommended to anyone wanting that 'special' vacation destination.

A great resort in a great location. Located near the airport, the resort is easy to find and a short drive away. We loved the Marriott. Amazing pool area and a beautiful beach. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clean, quiet, and spacious room. Cold A/C. Free Wi-Fi. Easy and convenient parking. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Overall a great stay. Highly recommended. A++

Very nice hotel but be careful with what they call an ocean view. I had one but it didn't really count as you could barely see the ocean. The "partial" ocean view I had on waikiki was way better. Other than that very nice, clean, and comfortable.

Gorgeous swimming pool though only 4feet deep. Amazing views and incredible garden. Rooms are a bit dated but nice. Shower was strong and hot. Balconies are minimalistic but very private. Can't wait to use the community bbq grills. Staff is friendly prices are high. I never understood charging 10x the cost of something simply for convenience, casino's have the right idea keep you here and you will spend your mony here. Make prices overly inflated and the word gets out quickly.

I was here for business, a little less than a week. This was definitely a great place to have for my office away from my office. Regrettably, everything is pretty pricy, but that's what you get when you stay at a resort hotel. The rooms were smallish, the bathroom so small that to close the door you had to stand in the shower. A first for me, the beds were "murphy beds" that folded up into the wall when not in use. That was fine, but once down, it was going to stay there. Housekeeping would make the bed, but putting it back up was up to you, which meant that if I wanted to stretch out on the sofa, I had to put the bed up myself. All in all, a very nice place.

Beautiful drive, great location. Highly reccomend if you are heading to Kauai $!

Awesome pool and amenities, tried to go to other beaches and they didn't compare to the beach next to the hotel. Just all around perfect. We ventured out and I wish we didn't and just enjoyed what we had because it was better than what we found outside of the hotel, just stay away from the luau.

Visited for the day while waiting for a delayed flight. Very nice that they extend their shuttle from the airport to people who are not staying there. Lovely hotel on a lovely island. The lobby has some nice historical items but the pool area has a old European influence which seems out of place in Hawaii. A lion fountain? The location wouldn't be my first choice. It is on a small bay with no chance of a sunset or sunrise view. Safer for kids to swim. The patio restaurant has standard fair of burgers and wraps. Some locally sourced foods. Very good service. You can't sit in the beach chairs if you are not staying there — good if you are staying there. The not so nice fellow didn't bother to tell us you can rent chairs just steps away to the right.

One of the best Marriott Resorts in the chain. Beautiful rooms, great beds, and a great pool. 90% of the staff is great but the 10% is real bad. The time share rooms very nice but bedding, my beds in Iraq and Afghanistan was better, so why doesn't management see this (or don't care)

Great resort location with amazing ocean views. Lots of great amenities including pool with hot tubs, great restaurants, and a beautiful walkthrough garden. Villas are spacious and recently renovated. Highly recommended.

The Kauai Beach Club has amazing views of Kalapaki Beach. The location is very near the ballrooms if you are having an event at Marriott. Nice comfy beds and pillows. Equipped with mini fridge, adequate closet space, and deep bath tub. You have the options to rent out a room or a whole villa. I can't gush enough about the amazing view at the Beach Club!

Room was clean, bedis comfortable, the staff were/are amazing. We have the ocean view room and it's fantastic. There are koi fish when you are near the lobby. You can feed them daily at 9am and 1pm. Everyone is super friendly. The gift shop lady was kind of rude but whatever. The guests are nice, though. We use valet parking everyday and the guys are very nice. They even remember us as we come and go. We are here for 15 days so if you have the money, stay here. We are going to come back annually because we are just in love with the place, the atmosphere and peaceful vibe.

Been coming here for 14 years, we love it. Good to see that they are working on improving the resort. Great location on the island with easy airport access and equidistant to all the major tourist spots. Beach and bay is great for either doing nothing or paddle boarding and surfing.
