We’re here for 5 nights and after only a couple of hours, everything about the place I like: room size, furnishings, cleanliness and information given to us at check in was so helpful. Staff very accommodating.

Clean and hospitable friendly staff and everyone here is pretty chill. Check out the pool!

Banyan Harbor exceeded our expectations. We thought we were getting a hotel room. They surprised us with a two-story condo. WoW! It was beautiful and really comfortable. We are definitely recommending our friends stay there and I can't wait til we can come back.

My husband and I have been coming to Banyan Harbor for at least 12 years and have become friends with the wonderful desk personnel (Krystal), and especially the fantastic concierge, KIKI. We love staying in Lihue because of its convenient location to the rest of the island. If it’s sunny we can go North Shore and snorkel at Tunnels, or hike the Kaualau trail. For entertainment, we head to Kaua’i Beach Resort for the Kanakapeli on Monday nights, or our favorite restaurant, MO…NICOS. Overcast or rainy days takes us a short drive to Poi’pu beaches, and hiking trails and horse back riding. Also the Waianae Canyon beacons us on a clear day. We like to golf, so there are lots of choices here, especially if you research the bargain times to play! Kiki at the concierge desk has so many good ideas for excursions, restaurants and just outdoor activities. Please make some time to talk with her, she is delightful! Mahalo,

Clean, comfortable condos with kitchens and laundry in each unit. Perfect location across the street from Kalapaki Beach — our favorite — and very centrally located to see the rest of the island. This is our 3rd time staying and made reservations for next year already.

The unit itself was nice and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked and the Walmart is just a few minutes away for any groceries you might want to stock up on. I also liked having a designated carport. Just be warned that there aren't any elevators. This wasn't initially a problem. But after injuring myself the first day, all the stairs were such a chore. Otherwise, I liked that it was close to the airport and kinda Central to all the places I visited while on Kauai. I would stay there again.

Nice comfortable condo. Full kitchen two bathrooms. Really close to a nice beach. You can snorkel, surf, paddle board.

We rented one of the two story condos here. Nice place to spend a couple weeks. Full kitchen, two bathrooms and bedrooms with pullout sofa bed in living room. Air-conditioned. Washer and dryer in unit. Nice pool. Would have been nice if the property had a hot tub.

Get place. Good location. Very help full and knowledgeable.

Condo was clean and had everything we needed. Wasn't expecting such a big space and was happy with the kitchen. Bed was comfortable. We were able to wash our clothes before we left. Wish we could have stayed longer. Until next time Kauai.

Great central location. You can go either direction on the island in about the same amount of time. Close to the airport but you can't really heat the planes. The staff is very friendly and helpful except the weekend lady at the front desk — when I went in to the office to exchange my towel or ask a question she will make you seem like you are bothering her but if you can ignore that it is a great place to stay.

This is our second time coming to Kauai and decided to stay here. I’m so glad we did the staff was very friendly. Our 2 bedroom condo was very roomy and cleaned. The beds was comfortable. Beautiful ocean view from our balcony. I would definitely stay here again!

This is an older complex, but the unit we were in has been updated and has a view of the harbor. It was quite the sight to see the cruise ships come in. The pool area was nice. The best part was Kiki, the concierge. She makes you laugh and gets great discounts for tours. They have some beach gear and towels.

The service here is great. Very friendly and they have lots of stuff to borrow for beach fun, but I wouldn't quite call this a resort. The pool is ok, but it's up high where it's often windy and cold. The whole complex is on a hill right by the main road through the island so you basically have to cross a highway to walk anywhere and the park across the street is just a grassy field. It was nice enough but I wouldn't choose to stay here again especially if I was looking to stay at a resort.

Centrally located & close to everything. Friendly staff & one of the best values on the island. A+ so far but we've only stayed one night of our 7-day stay.

Pool is supposed to be heated but only three of the six jets was putting out warm water. Late night check-in the guy tried just giving us any condo at first rather than the one we'd rented from an individual owner. Our last night there the battery in the door lock must've died cause it stopped taking the key card. The concierge, Kiki, was the best part of our stay. She was a really fun person and got us discounts on our luau and catamaran sea tour.

Banyan Harbor Resort was beautiful. We had a wonderful 2 — bedroom condo. It had a kitchenette. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The staff were very accommodating. I would go back and stay there.

Aloha! We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! Nice rooms, roomy bathrooms, quiet, and clean. Situated in a perfect location 2 miles from the airport. We traveled up the East coast one evening and the West coast another. Will definitely be back and stay here again. Mahalo.

Home away from home. Location, Location, location. Very good customer service. Not fancy but be at for families. Full kitchens, washer and dryers, close to beach and stores. Only reason to give them a 5 is because it looks outdated.

Amazingly nice people working here. Clean rooms, well kept pool Ann's yard, very friendly and helpful front desk and concierge staff. Come visiting friends commented about street noise at night, but they covered the interrupting sounds by using the window mounted A/C units fan on ventilator mode. Come units had a lot of stairs at the entrance, but front desk staff worked hard to find us units that accommodated my disabilities.

Resort has air conditioning. A plus. Granted they are wall units and noisy. But it's cold air… Worth the noise. Central location probably rate it a 2.5 star hotel. Full size beds. Calling it a queen is a stretch. Cruise ship dock is within view. Walk to some decent restaurants. And a beach is near. Anything else. Rent a car. Kauai is worth having a car. Really.

Like many that have already reviewed here. I have come to think of this place as home. At least a home. The staff is great, my condo is always so inviting. And we’re always welcomed with “Welcome Home! ” Just a great place and nicely located really close to Kalapaki Beach and it’s fun to watch the cruise ships come into the harbor and leave again. Wish I could make it my forever home!

Had a nice stay. Good value. Kiki is great! Not nice like the Hyatt, but costs less.

Great location with proximity to everything on the island. The property is older and somewhat dated, but relative to its age, was very well-maintained and spotless clean. Kudos to management!

Condo is well appointed, area is nice (close to many restaurants and the beach), frtont desk staff is great. Only downside is the huge number of stairs. :)

I lived in hawaii for 6 months, and this was my home away from home. Great view, great staff, always clean, and easy walk to the beach.

Location is walking distance to the beach. Close to restaurants and in the center of most activities. Mineral pool is on site and the grounds are very well maintained. Rooms have all that you could ever need. Our unit is outdated with broken lamps and ripped carpets. I still love it.

Well located apartment (easy access, close to Resto) spacious but a little dated.

The location is amazing! It's right next to two shopping centers and provides a fantastic view. The rooms are pretty nice and clean.

You need to somehow change where the air conditioners are located in the units. Being within 3feet of the headboards in the 2bedrooms and the living space puts blowing cold air right on the individual. We had to turn off the air conditioning in our bedroom. Those rooms being upstairs get a bit warm. The front office staff were outstanding ladies. Very nice and professional.

Warm welcome, the amenities were good, the apartment large and the location great to explore the island; Recommended for family with two children and cars.

Nice enough place and well located near a good beach/park for mild wave fun. Check in was easy and having assigned parking was a nice touch. The real down side of the whole experience was having to drag our bags up two flights of stairs to get into our unit. That kicked my ass. Wasn't much easier with groceries, etc.

I call this place home, though 50 weeks out of the year I exist on the mainland. Banyan Harbor is conveniently centrally located on the island, so driving to the south and north side is pretty even. The staff members here are friendly and always ready to help you with your needs. Have a late arrival? No problem. Someone is always able to get you checked in. Nicely appointed with A/C, washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchenware, pool, great view.

Stayed for a whole week, I had a great time. Everything was made very easy for our stay. Kiki helped us book a helicopter tour and got us a deal on a luau. She was very helpful and made our experience that much better. Every employee we spoke to only had good things to say and always was happy to help us find the best beaches and hikes. If I find myself back on Kauai I will not hesitate to go back!

Nice place. Every unit differs so some are carpeted and others have newer upgrades. One of our rooms in the two bedroom unit had an uncomfortable bed and no TV but the other room was fine. Sofa bed uncomfortable too. They have a very friendly, accommodating front desk staff. Office closes at 8 pm so you need to go through Security for any after hours needs. Housekeeping comes 1x/week and does not refill toilet paper or other toiletry items automatically but office/security is available for those things. Pool area nice with activities and grills to cook on. Overall nice place for the price.

We are staying in a 2 bedroom condo with another couple and we absolutely love it! It's nothing crazy special but its perfect for what we need! And the price was well worth it! Totally recommend. Also close to a beautiful beach and a few stores with necessities.

Great location. View from the upstairs bedrooms was nice (the living room balcony had a view of the harbor and other industrial buildings). Pool was lovely, great to watch the skies change at sunset and see the stars (can't see the sunset, but you get the after-effects). The condo itself is dated, but is in pretty good shape. The beach park has a lot of locals there, but they were not rude: they did their thing, we did ours. Fun to watch the surfing near the harbor in front of dukes. The Marriott has more calm surf further down. Super close to stores, Costco and airport.

Clean, comfortable room… nicely stocked kitchen utensils & cookware… several good eating places within walking distance AND a great view!

Cutesy location for a quick stay on Kaua'i. Great location with lots al conveniences only a short drive away. Pleasant two-story units that accommodate families looking for a nice place to stay on vacation.

Beds were uncomfortable. Can see the ocean and the mountains from the balcony. Within walking distance to the beach.

Great resort. Living here is nice. But if you rent through a real estate agency. It's hard to get things fixed from time to time.

Great alternative to a hotel. Much better than squeezing 2 couples into a crowded hotel room. Clean, quiet, relaxing placed to stay.

Come here every year the week before Christmas, and we love it every time. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and quaint (nothing too fancy). Location is great with just a short walk to Kalapaki beach and plenty of shops.

It's OK. Not fancy. The unit we rented through VRBO was small but worked for us. It was higher up the hill so we could see the harbor and sunrise. The area is noisy so you wake up to the beeping of backing up trucks from the docks nearby. The unit was decked out with pretty old grandma furniture. The kitchen was OK but the bathroom was old and fixtures were bad. The dryer vented into the bathroom. Is that even legal here? It was rustic like a lot of Kauai. Location was decently central for exploring the island.

My only issue is the internet. It's kind of a gamble if you will connect and it's uncertain if you will keep your connection for long.

We went here back in September 2014, had an amazing time! Kiki, the consierge, is absolutley amazing! She is very friendly, hilarious and super helpful! She took a lot of time out to help us figure out where we were going and what attractions to see while we were there. The rooms were very nice, kept very clean. They have a nice pool. We will be back again! I would definitely recommend staying there during your trip to Kauai. Thank you Banyan Harbor Resort.

I have stayed there twice in the last years, personally I loved it. Okay the location on the lower level near the highway gets noisy, because of the location at the foot of a incline, so the trucks and local traffic does get loud. The condos on the top if the hill do not have this problem. As for being dated, it was, but very clean and well cared for. If you want the Hilton stay there okay. I have also seen some rundown properties, I would Not consider. You are in Kauai why are you sitting inside a condo anyway? You can do that at home. The staff there is so friendly and ready to help, I was satisfied with my stay.

Noisy. PERIOD! Geeze what the hell are they doing about it, Nothing. There are diesel trucks without mufflers driving about at all hours within the area. It's worse than the airport parking lot with all the noise. You'd think the management would try to enforce a noise abatement policy but forget it. Very unpleasant.

We moved from the Kauai Beach Villa resort (A+) to the Banyan Harbor Resort (F-), saw the grounds (reminded me of a converted apartment complex) and the wife said "Hell no, I'm not staying here" We were charged a "Resort fee" for the pool! Just because you can see a sliver of the ocean doesn't mean it's a Resort. This place is no Resort, well maybe a LAST Resort (pun intended). Noisy, A/C on a timer, doors don't have a way to prevent childeren or toddlers from opening the door from the inside. We checked out within an hour, got a refund on the resort fee and got all of the RCI points back. We immediately got a room at the Marriot and spent our last three days enjoying our vacation.

Noisy. Very outdated. No grounds/green space — all asphalt. Noisy. This is an old apartment complex. It reads Banyan Harbor. For online marketing they threw in the word 'resort' to fancy it up a bit. But that is the only thing fancy about it. It's in the industrial part of town next to a busy road. Did I say noisy yet? You can't slap resort onto something and make it special.

At first I was so disappointed in the trade I did with RCI. I still think the place needs some interior upgrades but I can see they work very hard to keep this place as nice as they can. I am facing the Ocean but all I hear is the road noise. It overlooks the container shipping yard so at night I kept hearing back up alarms which was so irritating. Needs new carpet and some updated furniture if you ask me. I can't say I would come back here but I am probably more particular than most.
