Desk personal very helpful. Room large and clean. Easy check in stayed here 4 weeks ago and again today. Great hot breakfast before your travels.

Close to everything like Harpers Ferry and the casino. Easy to find and has an outdoor pool.

Lovely, quiet, very clean rooms, great breakfast, comfortable and beautiful bed, refrigerator and microwave … close to restaurants and next to Charlestown Hollywood casino. The only gambling I do is the stock market but my lady likes the slot machines.

Best customer service Ive had in my 25 years traveling the world. To put that in prospective Ive literally been around the world several times staying in countless hotels — this is the best!

I stopped by the parking lot. I was making a store visit. I may look into staying at this hotel in the future. It looked very nice from the outside. I also like how close it is to the Charles Town Race Tracks.

Overall, my stay (3 week period) was okay. The main complaint was that the old AC units in these rooms don’t dehumidify the room at all. My room was very humid and did not smell fresh as a clean, dry room should. The room cleaning was great but the halls of the hotel were poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all. The tile floors near the elevators had spill stains for days and the hallway carpets weren’t vacuumed for days. The breakfast (hot food) was low quality but okay for a day or two. Keurigs in each room is a plus.

The employee Crystal is wonderful. Shes so informative kind and friendly. Its clean and well decorated!

I was disappointed I couldn't fit the mattress into my car to take home, it was that comfortable.

Love staying here! My husband and I try to stay here at least 3 times a year. The hotel is perfect, pool in summer is great and the customer service is the best. What to send a special shout out to Cara at the front desk, she goes above and beyond for us every time we come to stay. I feel like I'm surrounded by family when I'm there. Big thanks to all of you!

I thought the rooms were very clean and the housekeepers were very friendly and helpful. The front desk clerks were also very nice, very helpful. Easy check in and check out. The breakfast is really good with hot and cold food. Is prepared very well and the lady that prepares the food does a great job and is very friendly. The pool area is nice and the pool is very clean. The motel is very close to the horse track and area restaurants and shopping. I will definitely stay again. After a long day at Harpers Ferry, the beds slept very well! Thank you!

Nice hotel! Great place to stay if going to the casino. They have a free shuttle to and from the casino at any time. Staff is always nice and helpful!

Very good and clean Hotel. Price as everywhere in this class. Large And Spacious Rooms. To the proximity it has very good shopping for everything you need for daily use.

Best HIE we have experienced. Staff very nice and polite. Room as good as you would expect. Wish the TV were a little bigger.

Reasonable prices (better rates than surrounding hotels), clean comfortable rooms, great breakfast, check in a little slow. Had to wait for employee to end a phone call and come to the front desk to check out. Can hear all the traffic on the road next to the building (facing the building the road on the right. No sleeping late). Overall it was a nice place to stay. Recommend to others.

Have been staying here for years when working in the area. Staff here are great. Easy to find and close to everything. Breakfast as always good. I like everything at this motel but one thing. There beds are a little to firm for my taste but that’s the only negative I come up with.

Rooms are Always Immaculate, the Swimming Pool (outdoor only) is the Best Ive Ever Enjoyed in a Non-Resort Hotel — its 18 × 50 ft so perfect for swimming laps to help you wake up, before retiring to bed for the night, or to cool down during the hot afternoons. Im not so fond of how the building blocks all of the late afternoon sun and turns the entire pool area to a completely shady area from 4:30 pm to sunset. This is 4 hours of sun shine during summer months, but its definitely definitely better than having the pool being visible to passing traffic; Id easily choose shade and privacy any day over sunny and lack of privacy. Staff is always friendly, professional and very accomodating. Breakfast is usual for holiday expresses but its the friendly staff that makes the difference. Also the hisorical pictures of Charles Town displayed in the breakfast room are very telling and educational. The photographs themselves tell a clear story about the dynamic history of Charles Town and are some of the best Ive seen of Charles Town.

Nice clean room, seemed larger than normal rooms. Breakfast was good especially the cinnamon rolls.

The rooms were clean. It is very easy to log onto the Wi-Fi unlike other hotels. The location is good for Harper's Ferry. The breakfast is usually cheese omelets. That's the only bad thing I can say about the hotel.

Rooms are so comfortable and breakfast is good convenience to casino!

Very clean hotel with nice amenities. Seems to be fairly new or at least renovated. The 24 hour shuttle to the casino was a must.

We (my sisters and I) stayed here last Friday (10/28/17)! We go to Charles Town three times a year for our Birthdays and had always stayed at The Inn — the prices had gone up to almost 400 a night, totally not worth it! So we decided to try The Holiday Inn Express, we are glad we did! The STAFF was wonderful and nice as can be (not like the other place), the room were large, clean, and it even had a K-cup coffee maker in our room! The breakfast was Awesome! We had the Best stay ever! We are so glad we found a NEW home away from home! Thank YOU ladies for being so Awesome! (Also, almost forgot to mention… ALL OF THIS and it was ONE THIRD OF THE PRICE if what we normally pay! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING!

The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and the cleaning staff respected the do not enter signs. There was a cold fridle and microwave that worked. The shower head was free of clogs. One small beetle in the room. No complaints.

Friendly staff that great you upon arrival. Check-in is quick and painless. Nice dining hall. Interior design a 10 on a scale from 1 to ten. King suite is huge equipped with bed, love seat, matching single chair, two flat screens, desk with chair, Wi-Fi, keurig machine, and room is very clean and neat. Great experience. Also pool available. Complimentary breakfast is from 6-11 am. Desk clerk very informative and willing to accommodate. Wonderful experience in my opinion. I'd recommend others to stay as guests.

Nice place, clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and great breakfast (although the pancake machine is a bit odd). The price seemed high to me. Also, checkout is 11:00 FIRM, which is earlier than we expected.

Excellent STAFF and love the room the pool is great and oh my goodness the Free breakfast is worth the stay. Can't believe it's Free Will come back.

Great hotel near Harper's Ferry in West Virginia. The staff had a lot of good recommendations for places to eat and sightsee at.

This place had terrible costumer service. I think that the employees take items that are left behind in rooms by guests. I left a clarisonic face brush behind and called 3 hours after I checked out after realizing I had left it there. And magically no one could find it. I called for three days trying to get someone to help me and to check the room again. No help at all! Then they booked the room right after I called. So I have no idea if the cleaning employees took it or if the people who stayed in the room after me took it. I am beyond upset. I will never stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get to and out of. Did a great job getting parking lot cleared of snow. Only negative was pancake machine was down most of the time. Oh but they do have warm cookies in the evening.

We are fans now of Holiday Inn Express. We were on a road trip and made reservations only at Holiday Inn Express.
From the time you entered the lobby to the room it smelt clean.
Beds very comfortable & bathrooms clean. Everything was spotless. Breakfast wonderful. Employees friendly & professional. Stayed at 3 different ones.
The only thing is smokers should have a smoking area away from all entrances.

We paid cash for our reservation and it was not explained to us that they would actually pull it out of our bank account. During check out, we explained to the manager the amount was taken from our account. Not a pending ach transaction, an actual amount unable to use, no until 3 to 5 days after check out. If the receptionist explained this, we would have kept our cash and let them use the card at check in. Also, the beds are so stiff you might as well sleep in a coffin. If you stay on the 2nd floor you will hear the persons staying above you walking all night long. Check in is 4pm. It's a rip off because you are cheated out of a whole day as they know most people leave first thing in the morning to get back to their destination. We've never stayed at a HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS such as this one. We will never will stay again or recommend friends to stay.

For the past 3 weeks I have been calling this Holiday Inn to reserve rooms for our wedding planned the end of August 2014. Not one person ever returned my call. Not even the General manager returned my call. I will never suggest this Holiday Inn to any of my friends, family or colleagues for business or pleasure. Bad Business.

I negotiated a group room rate for my wedding and now they are backing out on the deal! Don't stay there go up the street to the Quality Inn. Quality People and Quality Staff. Not to mention that the Holiday Inn's rates are outrageous. $200 a night for Charles Town. Come on.

I've stayed here on business many times. It is a newer establishment, the rooms are clean, the staff is nice. I've never had a problem staying here and they didn't charge me for an extra night when I checked out at 6pm to dodge an incoming snow-storm.
