We stayed here for a drift event. Clean room, spacious, small balcony, jacuzzi tub, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. A little dated but I liked the 90’s feel. They also had a casino and served breakfast but we didn’t take advantage of those things. I would definitely stay here again!

Love these people. Love the bartender’s great atmosphere and reasonable prices.

The bar down stairs is awesome!

Such friendly staff, and the room so clean, comfy, with lots of open space! Breakfast was delightful and plentiful! Hubby and baby loved the waffles. Would recommend without hesitation!

I found this establishment to be one of the best places I have ever stayed and would recommend it to anyone that likes a great customer service experience. In addition, I would like to add that Dwight and Ann are two of the best hosts in this type of business that I have ever encountered and truly cared about the experience of the guest while in their place of business. We will be returning and bringing friends.

This a no frills hotel, a little dated but still a nice place to stay. There is a Italian restaurant on site, a pub downstairs, which we did not visit as the stairs are pretty steep, they have a chair lift to get down and up these stairs. Don't ride drunk. Breakfast is nothing fancy but good, vending machines on site as comp. Bottles of water are not provided. Single serve coffee pot with coffee in each room. The casino shuttle does pickup from there but you have to get the front desk to call for it. I can say one thing though, the staff are very nice and helpful, if all you really need is a place to sleep, no frills then save money and stay here as it a nice place, just not updated.

Great place to stay. A little dated from outside. Inside was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable. It is right beside the casino and racetrack. Free shuttle.

Nice room, but didn't like the breakfast attendent standing at the door watching us, we were the only ones there. Then another man came in, sat in the back and she went in that room and sat at the table beside him! Not necessary.

Room wasn’t clean, not sure the last time the glass or windows were cleaned as their were hand & fingerprints all over them, floor hadn’t been vacuumed. The shower was so tiny I couldn’t even shave my legs, jacuzzi tub didn’t work properly. Breakfast was disgusting! The bed was hard as a rock! Towels & wash clothes (that they only change out every couple days; not part of daily maid service as advertised apparently) anyway they were stained. The shower curtain was so short water leaked all over the floor I almost fell when I got out bc everything was soaked! Oh & the outside balcony railing very dangerous, this hotel needs a lot of work! Not worth the money I spent for sure. Now that the bad is out of the way good part was the lounge downstairs very friendly & the attached restaurant was also great! Oh & the free shuttle to casino that came every 15 mins.

Everything about my stay here was wonderful, nice little bar on site with friendly bartenders and a really good burger. Free shuttle bus runs between here and the casino 2 minutes away. Room was a little dated but very clean and felt cozy, bed was very comfy I came back at night drunk and slept better than I do in my own bed at home. Loved the blackout curtains and that the sink is separate from the rest of the bathroom. Was happy to find out that they had smoking rooms, where I'm from (MD) almost no hotels allow smoking anymore. They are also pet friendly here. My third time visiting Charlestown but my first time at turf inn, from now on when I go to the casino this is where I will stay everytime.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, Clean, and very Courteous staff! Rooms are huge (at least ours was). Will for sure stay here next time we decide to spin our luck at the casino. PS: Loved the Turf Lounge too; it was nice to have a place on site to enjoy a small crowd and a few beers without the hassle of a cab or a designated driver.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and the hotel has a restaurant next door that offers room service at reasonable prices. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel room was dated, carpet looked and felt gross. Room was small. However people were nice and the lounge was awesome. The bartender made amazing drinks and the bathroom in the lounge is the cleanest bathroom ever.

Very clean, friendly staff. The free breakfast is great. The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Charles Town and Charles Town Races & Slots.

Booked a room on line said I don't pay tell I stay and come to find out they took money and didn't stay because of a emergency called lady and she was very rude and and said I couldn't get a refund really.

This was a great surprise! It was a low price but a large room, very pleasant staff, very clean, and close to restaurants. They also have breakfast in the morning.

Pay the 20 bucks more for the best place to stay in at least three states. Housekeeping is top notch, breakfast actually has sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs with salsa and bagels too, if you are sick of waffles like I am. Upscale amenities without the pretentiousness. Winner's Circle lounge will not disappoint. Real drinks, not watered-down, twice an hour, casino drinks. Feels like a speak-easy! Not to mention, crab dip that slays. Even losing at craps feels good in the Jacuzzi I'm not even mad.

It's a okay hotel it has free breakfast but don't have high expectations although the service they provide is pretty good.

The rooms were nice. The shuttle service we much appreciated. And the close proximity to the casino was awesome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Rodeway. Very nice staff and room was a pleasant surprise. I will stop comparing and use this hotel for any future visits to this area.

Had a fabulous stay! Room was large, clean and very comfortable from the furnishings to the fantastic hot shower with super water pressure! Nice hot breakfast too Staff was super friendly.

Great place to stay. Nice comfortable clean rooms. Jetted tub and heat lamp in bathroom makes for a very relaxing night sleep. Staff very nice and Brandon who works front desk is simply wonderful. He went above and beyond to resolve a problem for me.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk service was very good. Dwight at the front desk could use a little more cheerfulness and not give the impression that I am inconveniencing him to check in. The complementary breakfast was very good and the attendant is the sweetest lady. She is a joy. A bit of advice: When booking or checking in, request to NOT be placed in rooms 101, 102, 103 or 104. These rooms are adjacent to the inside entrance to the lounge and folks coming and going are loud well up into the night. There is a room key activated auto security door on the end of the hallway but it either wasn't working or not being used. This would help a lot but not help the thin room door. Overall, if you can get any room but the four listed above, I would recommend this hotel. If not for the loud bar traffic, I would have rated this hotel four stars, but instead have to go with three stars.

We always enjoy our stay at The Turf (Rodeway Inn). The people are nice, breakfast is good, and the rooms are dated but clean. The most important thing to remember is that it is a motel, not a hotel. If you are going to the casino, the tram will transport back and forth so no driving necessary!

We booked a room at the Rodeway Inn and Suites, we did not know we would be getting a room at the adjacent motel which looks NOTHING like it was advertised online when I booked the room. I really fail to see how it is not false advertisement but I digress. Our room came with many small mosquitoes. We went down to the ice machine to get ice, and the lid had been left open so the ice had several dead flies in it. We went to call the lobby only to find that the phone did not work. When we went to go to bed, we noticed that the bed did not have a fitted sheet and the comforter was dirty. I walked over to hotel lobby since the phone wasn't working and they informed me that the hotel/motel did not use fitted sheets. I would expect this from a cheaper motel but for the money we paid, I could really expect that they would not be too cheap to buy fitted sheets. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in a hotel/motel. We will not be returning and we will not recommend this dump to anyone else. Sorry : (One thing I will say is that the staff works REALLY hard to ensure that the guests have the best possible experience. It is not their fault, they represent cheap management.

Clean updated rooms in a convenient location near the Charles town racetrack. Quite over priced in a Saturday night for that reason though. Overall a good place to spend the night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was just enough for 2 adults. Non smoking room was truly non smoking! Bed linens, towels, room, bathroom were nice and clean! The only negative was the group of other guests that decided to gather on the front patio area, then also flicked a cigarette butt and a lot of ashes on my white Ford Focus car. Totally rude, oh my husband is a smoker and has way more class and manners. Would definitely stay here in the future. Thanks for a great experience!

Nice room. Furniture is a little dated but very clean. We had Jacuzzi room and it was nice. Shower is super small.

In the heart of everything. 11 minutes from the Casino. Shuttle service to and from the casino. The suites are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Fair. Room was clean, but dated. Staff was friendly. Toilet was small… about the size of a bucket. 3 stars.

Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Family run business and they treat guests like family. The room is clean and some have jacuzzis! There's a nice restaurant adjacent to the lobby, a gift shop in the lobby and the lounge with a few slot machines downstairs. There's a big RV lot next to the hotel. Really worth it! Enjoy all!

A/C was not working properly and called front desk. They sent Maintenance to look at the issue and I was told it was fine. The compressor was cutting off way before hitting temp in the room. This was 2:30 am on 07/09/2016. I went to front desk and the lady informed me that she could change rooms but what if we have a problem with that unit. I informed her that if I did I would check out and leave. To state that was degrading and that she questioned my intelligence in the operation of a A/C unit. I work for a company that would not allow that to happen. Don't stay there if other options are available.
