Clean and comfy! great location! very helpful! probably the best staff I've ever met at a hotel!
I was traveling for work and had lots if huge packages delivered and they took care of all that for me! would 1000% stay here again!

My Family was evacuated to Columbia from Charleston during Hurricane Florence and thank God they chose this hotel. It was my nephew's 1st Birthday and all plans of a party were thrown out the window but the employees went above and beyond to ensure that our little guy still had the time of his life. They allowed our family to use their lobby for a small party and most importantly the employees came together and got him a bag of gifts for his Birthday. He may be too young to remember this but we definitely will. There are still good people in this world! Much improved! I stayed here 2 years ago and it was not a nice place to stay, but they have imporved by leaps and bounds. I recommend this hotel if you are going to a game or just want to stay close to downtown Columbia.

My friend and I stayed here for one night for the Beyonce concert. We arrived early and they accommodated us an hour before check in. All staff we interacted with were so friendly and polite. Housekeeping asked if our room was fine and comfortable. Being in the service/sales industry and going to many hotels per month I was pleasantly surprised that this was the friendliest and most customer service oriented staff I’ve come across. Room was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

I work at a prison so I don't want my hotel room to smell like one and I sure don't expect the room to be a box! The decor is that of a cheap motel. The painting must have been done by a novus. There were holes in the bathroom walls and spots all over the carpet. The hallways smell like smoke and the location is not big enough. This hotel is not worth the money. We will be staying somewhere else after tonight. The pictures of this place are very misleading, don't be tricked!

The hotel was overall pretty good. It's pretty close to Williams Brice and downtown Columbia. Very clean and well kept. The room we stayed was a handicap accessible room on the third floor 2 feet from the elevator. When we walked in the heat was running full blast, during the Summer which made the room unbearable, we switched it to cold and left for a few hours and it ended up cooling down. The staff offered us a different room if we wanted it. Breakfast was continental, nothing fancy. Definitely not a hotel suited for large amounts of people as the lobby and eating area are rather small. I guess my biggest con about the whole place is that it's located right next active train tracks, it didn't bother me that muchas I'm a heavy sleeper and they do provide ear plugs in your room.

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. When we arrived our A/C was set on heat so the room was hot and took a while to cool down, and was never "cold" even though the AC was set to 68. Could have been too small for the room! Breakfast was good, standard biscuits/eggs/cereal but there was definitely enough to eat. It's right next to train tracks and we heard the train through the night but they do provide ear plugs if you needed them. It wasn't extremely disruptive but if you're a light sleeper you would probably hear it! We would definitely plan to stay here again when in Columbia!

Excellent hotel! You can tell how great it is at first glance! It is in a nice area void of a lot of activity and people and a short drive away from downtown and the university of south carolina campus. You get the best of both worlds with this hotel.

Small and quite a bit run down. So close to the railroad tracks that they have to give you earplugs to sleep. Staff extremely nice and willing to help in any way possible. Five stars for them!

We had an excellent stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We did not hear the train. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast could have been a little better but for the price we paid we were very satisfied.

The room could comfortably fit 4 adults and was tidy. There was no bacon at breakfast, but there were these tasty danishes. Best danishes I have had. Eggs were salright.

Have to give one star, since there's no zero. My second stay was not as pleasant as the first one, two months ago! The room is listed with a king size bed, but it is not. Is a Queen size bed. The air conditioner is very low to the ground and will not cool enough the room. All the coffee in the room was Decaffeinated. Just one facial bar of soap in room. Have to ask for more soap. The hook in the bathroom hasn't been fixed. They don't provide ear plugs like they used to. The train is very loud specially at night! The door to take the stairs to floors up is broken and bangs against the door frame everytime someone uses the stairs. Very different atmosphere this time. Walls are paper thin.

Excellent for the price. Large TV, hair dryer, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, comfy bed. Even ear plugs for the frequent train passing and free newspapers daily. Clean bright rooms. Priced like a Motel 6, but better.

This was basically a really old hotel with a facelift. The bed was hard, the blackout shade was gone so my room was flooded with bright street lights while I tried to sleep and the breakfast was below average. The staff was nice.

Very, very clean, hotel staff could not have been nice. Easy drive to Fort Jackson.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is NASTY! It smells moldy in the hallways and the pillow cases were disgusting before we laid down on the bed. We didn't even sleep on them and the OWNER charged us $25 for damages and since he owns the place he just took the money. I'm sure it was because we paid in cash and it would be easy money because we cannot dispute this with our bank. Do not stay here! especially if you are military!

Glen is probably the best human being on this Earth … Hopefully when you check in you'll get to meet him. Oh, and the hotel was nice too.

Fridge wasn't cold. Shower had a cap from shampoo in it when we arrived telling me that it hadn't been cleaned. Breakfast was not good. Not enough and cold. Said they had cereal and they didn't. Oh and there's a stupid train that goes right beside the hotel and blows it's whistle at midnight and 2:30am and 6:15am. Also the air conditioner/heater was as loud as the train. Bring a step stool because the beds are like 3 feet high. Staff was friendly.

Recently remodeled beds are not bad Hotel looks okay rooms are just a little bit cold but not hard to deal with.

Room was great, the walls are paper thin. Could hear the TV in next room. Breakfast was simple and adequate.

Newly remodeled hotel downtown perfect location awesome staff and fantastic breakfast you can tell the staff takes pride in their jobs.

Great friendly service, nice room. Only issue was the insulation on the front door. Could easily hear people outside the door. Other than that it was a good stay.

It’s nothing but a nice motel. It’s close to the stadium but also a bunch of train tracks so have fun sleeping. Oh and I was woken up by the front desk at 2am for “being too loud” I was sleeping, not making any noise and they threatened to kick me out.

Walked in JUST AS IT OPENED its doors for business, I have been to MANY hotels before but never to any with such friendly staff as here. Rooms are beautiful and neat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! Easiest 5 stars I have ever given a review! I will be back for sure!

The hotel is now under new ownership and has been extensively renovated into a brand new boutique hotel. Everything in the hotel is new from the furniture, to the bathrooms. Great ambience and high end amenities which include keurig coffee makers, and luxury bathroom amenities. Truly a unique experience and a great location close to Williams Brice Stadium, USC, and downtown Columbia/Vista. Great place to stay for a transient business visit or with family for football games.

Dirty, smelly, creepy. Refrigerator in parking lot. 0 cars in lot but windows blocked off with towels and blankets.

It had bugs. The toilet ran all night. It had nails just sticking out of the wall. Wall paper was coming down and the curtain had a hole in it. Nasty place. I will never stay their again.

Horrible. I booked online thinking that it would be a nice hotel since it was near Williams Brice Stadium. The first room smelled of mildew; asked to change rooms. The second room had roaches. Unfortunately majority of the hotels in the area are booked due to two college homecomings, the State fair, and persons affected by the flooding in the area. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to no one. If you do plan on staying please bring your own towels, roach spray, and bed linen. They advertise free Wifi but there isn't any. No perks or frills here.

I have never seen a hotel so dirty and the apparent lack of maintenance. Very creep looking outside as well.
