Michael the front desk person was very helpful and let us check in at 1pm my wife has multiple sclerosis and doesn't do the car thing well hats off to you Michael and Hampton inn we will return agaon.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Hotels this one is amazing. One of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. The place is well taken care of and the staff is very friendly and make sure you enjoy your stay. We will for sure be booking our next trip to the area with this hotel.

I found a room on the website that I wished to book and have so I’m the past. I called into the number listed which I assumed was Hampton Inn’s customer service number and upon double checking this the room I’m wanting to book I went ahead and paid and booked due to “limited numbers” supposedly. I booked a Jacuzzi in room King Room after clearing it with the customer rep and upon arrival the rude front desk clerk mentioned scheduling a time for the pool and hot tub. I told her that wouldn’t be necessary because of the jacuzzi in our room and she with a wonderful attitude replied there’s no jacuzzi in the actual room just a bath tub with jets, which I might add two of the jets were even broken…. I politely asked her if there was a mistake and she replied that they haven’t had jacuzzis in the rooms for years and that’s what I get for booking with a third party, which I was also unaware of. I then asked if the price would be adjusted due to just booking a basic king size bed room and she told me there was nothing she could do since I booked other a company “they didn’t deal with”…kinda odd, but I was very frustrated and took my key and went to my room.

Terrific staff everyone so very friendly and rooms were very nice and clean I recommend this hotel to everyone I inow.

Visited Charleston to attend granddaughter’s school program. Room was very clean and the staff very helpful.

We had a medical emergency during our stay and the staff had to cal 911 for us. Our initial 2 night stay turned into 8 nights. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a room each night even when the hotel was at maximum capacity. We are very thankful for the kind staff at Hampton Inn-Southridge!

The staff was wonderful and very friendly. It was my wife's birthday and they left a dog made out of towels, a box of chocolates and a card signed by the staff on the bed for her. Outstanding customer service! well done!

This is one of the best Hampton I have stay at,,,, I come into town a few time and the clerks remember me always with a smile on there face. This time they found out it was my birthday and they know I was for work later in that evening I heard a knock at my door and they sent me up a sweet bag with candy bars popcorn even a birthday card. You can’t tell me that any hotel would do that,,,, when I come this way they will always have my Business, just for that small thing they did for me,

The room was well put together, clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was also very catering. The BIGGEST bonus is this location has easily 30+ restaurants very close by and nearly a dozen in walking distance. If you are here for business and have had a long day, that's a great bonus.

Stayed from 8/17/2018-8/19/2018. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and very reasonably priced. Although we have stayed at hotels that were considerably higher priced, we have not stayed at a hotel that treated us any better. The staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and good-natured! On check out, our housekeeper Rachael ran us down in the parking lot as we were leaving to return my prescription eyeglasses that had accidentally been left. We will be traveling to Charleston quite a bit and this will be our go to place from now on!

I had a really pleasant experience here! The breakfast is excellent as are the staff! My room was really clean and it was everything I expected. It was very hot during my stay in the air conditioner work very very well. Every area I went to was very clean and tidy. The staff do a great job here and I would recommend this place to anyone trying to get a good night's rest.

What a pleasant experience. This was hands down the nicest Hampton Inn we've stayed at. The lobby and common area were very nice. The pool deck, outdoor patio, and fitness area was beautiful. The pool and hot tub was really fantastic! The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. We had a slight issue with our tub not draining and it was taken care of of immediately. Our bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh. The two random details that most impressed me was the ice cold water bottle refilling station and the perfectly boiled (in shell) eggs at breakfast. We will stay here again on our next drive up north.

I recently stayed here for a couple weeks while my house was being completed. The staff is amazing, rooms are clean and up to date, breakfast is great and different daily, and the weeknight receptions help cap off a long day. Being here for such a long period of time I got to know almost every staff member, and can say they ALL went above and beyond to make my stay easier and comfortable. I appreciate you all! Highly recommended!

I travel A LOT with work, and typically stay in a Hampton. This is not too far from home, but by far one of the most awesome hotels I’ve stayed in. So clean, staff is GREAT, and the pool area made a GREAT and relaxing work area for me. I highly recommend. I’ve never had bad service with any Hampton I’ve stayed in, and they have always been so personable. Hats off to Hilton, and Hampton Inn :)

This property is consistently up to par. It’s become a home away from home when I am working in WV, which is all-too-often now!

The wife and I wanted to convey our thanks to the manager, front desk personnel, and hotel staff for the wonderful service we received on our latest visit to Charleston, WV. Unfortunately, we were in town for a family member funeral. Although we arrived at the hotel 3 hours prior to the normal check-in time, the Hampton Inn permitted us to get into a room early so we could change clothes prior to driving to the funeral location. Upon returning to the hotel after the funeral services we found a beautiful sympathy card from the hotel staff that had been delivered to our room. The card reflected very kind and supportive wishes from eleven of the hotel employees. We were overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us by the hotel. Although we’ve always been impressed by the wonderful service we receive at all of the Hampton Inn’s, (especially the Charleston-Southridge location), it’s the special ‘personalized’ family-oriented treatment that causes us to always want to come back again and again.

Charleston Hampton inn is very nice. Clean. Well taken care of. Daughter got sick in middle of the night and staff were VERY helpful and nice. If you are going to Charleston stay here!

Newly remodeled, very clean and quiet hotel. I would recommend this Hampton Inn.

Hotel neat and clean, transportation provided around downtown. Wish they would drive you just a little further. Driver was GREAT. Breakfast was nice. Centrally located. Price reasonable and no parking fees.

All I can say is WOW! This place is excellent. We had a cousins weekend there. We came in from 4 different states and it was fantastic. The rooms were so clean. The staff was excellent. Shout out to William, Rachel and Melissa for the wonderful customer service. And all the girls at the front desk. Also the gentleman at the breakfast buffet. He was so kind to help me out with a chair because I have back problems. The pool and hot tub area was very clean. Enjoyed using those. I just can't say enough. Just Thank You for making us feel welcome.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Charleston! Clean, friendly, good breakfast, great pool and once again the people are awesome. Second shift even got me a graduation card and a yummy gift. This will be where my family will stay in Charleston!

The staff makes this Hampton Inn warm and friendly at every turn. The hotel is immaculate, the breakfast service good, and bedrooms comfortable. Housekeeping is terrific at this hotel — efficient, friendly, and masterful. The location of the hotel makes it easy to get into downtown Charleston by car and also the nearby state forest.

We usually stay here and love it, but the lady who answers the phone didn't seem interested in booking a room. First, I was put on hold for ten minutes so that the lady could ask someone if they did military discount. Then, when she came back on the phone, she gave me AAA discount rates. I asked if that meant that the military discount they give was the same rates as AAA or if they no longer give one. She proceeded to tell me she wasn't familiar and to call back in maybe ten minutes to talk to someone else. We have recieved the discount from there before, but will be driving an extra two hours to give someone more informed our business.

Reserved the suite… couldn't as for a better room or staff. Everyone was so friendly and of positive mind, which is hard to find these days. My family and I felt at home here, any questions we had were quickly answered and our room was immaculate in every way. This hotel is relatively new and has very nice furniture, bedding and decor. I really have no complaints… well wish ever hotel was this great that's it!

The hotel overall was very nice! The staff was awesome and accommodating, rooms fairly large and very nice bathrooms. Unfortunately they are currently under construction.

They are under construction, so take it for what its worth, but the hotel is pretty dirty. The room is sub-par, and pretty worn out. I am also not sure what happened to the television remote, but it's so dirty that I am pretty sure I won't be watching TV all week.

The staff was very friendly. We arrived in time for a free cocktail hour, the bar tender was great. The pool area was clean and well maintained.

The location is perfect. You are able to walk to many restaurants. The rooms are very clean and they keep everything very modern.

Updated hotel. Has usb outlets near bed. Nice size tvs too. Only issue is that the thermostat will not go below 67. It's winter, I was hot, and I cpuldn't turn the heat or ac below 67 in the room I was in.

I normally stay at this Hampton Inn every time I travel through Charleston. It's typically pleasant and clean, but I was disappointed this stay. The room was not cleaned to the standards I'm used to from this hotel. There was a long black hair on the bed comforter and another on one of the towels, as well as a large bag of trash sitting outside the door (it was removed within 15 minutes of us going into the room). Overall, the past experiences have been pleasant but this one wasn't up to par.

I didn't stay in this but visited family from out of state. The rooms were clean, very nice, and the pool was amazing although very hot in the pool room. And the temp of the hot tub could be a little hotter.

We have stayed at Hampton Inn locations in many states due to traveling and I have to say this was the best Hampton stay thus far. The location was located next to many stores and plenty of restaurants, the pools were clean and the perfect temperature, The Hampton itself wasn't crowded, and the room was spacious and clean. We checked in on November 30th and requested the jacuzzi tub King bed room. After traveling for 8 hours we were looking forward to relaxing in the tub before bed. It was very clean and looked like it was newer however we were disappointed that one of the jets was not working. Upon check out we notified the front desk (Sannam) and she not only apologized and assured she'd have maintenance check it out but we received an unexpected email in regards to our stay. The customer service is what topped our stay for us and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling. I can honestly say this hotel holds up the Hampton name and should be the standard that all other locations should be upheld to.

Clean, modern rooms with really nice tvs etc. The gym and the pool areas were nice and big. As a constant traveler, I would highly recommend.

Wonderful experience at this hotel. Very nice helpful staff, clean bright room, lots of choices for places to eat. We went to the Quaker Steak and Ale place right next door and it was EXCELLENT. Would definitely stay there again.

I have to admit that I had some trepidation after reading previous reviews. However, I was caught in a bind when the hotel I had booked turned into a no-go, The front desk started things really well when they arranged for me to get into a room early (Just lucky, I guess). The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was a real positive. Situated near plenty of food outlets for dinner and lunch and the morning breakfast was hot and variable. Everyone on staff was warm and inviting and the only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I have not stayed at the Ritz left so I can't compare.

Everything was great … Pool and hot tub were open to midnight and that's a big plus! … Room was clean and comfortable.

My husband just stayed there last night and his truck was broken into. I guess this has happened a lot at this hotel but of course he was not warned and they don't have any security cameras where he had to park. He lost $9000 in tools and the hotel of course is not responsible.

Our service at the time we stayed was pretty horrible. I have tried writing emails and calling. I don't know whether to blame the hotel for a no response. I will however blame the corporate office. At first they sent my complaint to the downtown location, which I understand why the manager at that location could not do anything. Why the corporate office couldn't do anything is a mystery to me. This complaint is going on for almost a year now.

5 STARS! W-O-W is all I can say about this hotel! My family and I stayed here 4 nights while my dad was in a business conference. My mom, sister, and I had a blast! Our room was very clean, the staff was super friendly and gave us all kinds of suggestions of fun things to do in Charleston. We absolutely loved the fact that guests have access to a FREE fountain drink machine and free coffee/ hot tea/hot cocoa 24/7. We definitely took full advantage of that. While my dad was in the conference, my sister and I would go down to the indoor pool and hot tub during the day and had the whole place to ourselves. It was the best and most relaxing part of our whole vacation. Then in the evenings, they had free wine, beer, and snacks like cookies, cheese, fruit, and PB&J. We didn't want to leave! Our next leg of the trip took us to a fancy Hilton in Washington DC and even though that second hotel was nice, we were all talking about how it didn't even compare to the friendly staff and great amenities at Hampton Inn! GREAT JOB! Keep it up! We would LOVE to come back and visit and we will be sure to tell our friends who are travelling that way about your excellent services. Thanks for a great vacation getaway.

Freindly staff with a good location.

I lived here for 45 days while waiting for a house to close. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, friendliness, cleanliness, courtesy of the staff. I really liked the afternoon M-Th Managers Get-togethers where wine and hors d'oeuvres were given out freely. Breakfasts were quite good too. I knocked them one star for not having a recycling option for anything, but kudos to them for using bio-degradable silverware/utensils. One night the pool got trashed and the following day things were cleaned up promptly. Yummy cocoa and cookies every afternoon. Great shuttle service to and from the airport. Overall a very nice stay.

If I could give this less than 1 star, I would. The ABSOLUTE WORST hotel I have ever stayed in (and I stay in a lot). Staff is very un-friendly. I checked-out midway through my two-week stay, to go to another hotel downtown and they heckled me about it. Then called about a week later and the clerk did not know how to pull up a receipt for me and was very rude. I booked a non-smoking room but when I arrived, they told me that they didn't have any and that the person I spoke to made a mistake. It took them four days to move me to a non-smoking room. They were not willing to compensate me anything for the inconvenience. Great location, but horrible everything else. Proceed at your own risk.
