For a circa 1957 hotel this place was very very nice. Newly renovated throughout and the bed was awesome. Management staff was super friendly. The house keeper was super friendly and very sweet. There are plenty of restaurants around this location and a nice quiet bar to have a few drinks if you have the time. It was $60 a night for us with a CDL discount plus a discount for us because our truck was in the shop getting repaired. THANKS TURNPIKE hopefully we will be back to visit someday minus the breakdown.

The price is so good it made me skeptical, BUT was pleasantly surprised. Location is in Great relationship to eateries. Rooms remodeled very well and very clean. I would recommend to anyone.

This is the absolute cleanest motel in which I've ever stayed! Newly remodeled and clean as a whistle. No smoke smell AT ALL. Most 'no smoking' rooms stink to high heaven. If I ever need to sleep over in that area the Turnpike Motel is exactly where I'll be!

Nice, clean, safe place to stay when traveling. Lots of food choices very close. Staff were nice. Allows small dogs.

4+ stars you would think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Its not. It’s very much a cheap motel. I asked for a no smoking room and was given a smoking room which was musky. Television wouldn’t work with PlayStation. Absolutely not worth $65/night.

Oh wow. What a little gem. Don't expect any frills or the latest technology, but do expect a great nights sleep. It was the cleanest motel room in its price range I have stayed in this year. Along with being the cleanest, it was also maybe the most basic, and that's not a mark against this adorable, locally owned establishment. All we needed was a comfy bed, a shower and a fridge. Turnpike motel delivered. If you need fancy, go to one of the chain places in town. They are a dice roll usually. But if you want to support a local business, which cares about cleanliness, stay here. Great job management and staff, you made our night.

We stayed at this motel because the ratings were so high and the reviews were all very positive. The gentleman at the desk was very nice and the room appeared clean but to our dismay in the morning there was a bedbug on the side of our bed, it was very discusting, the man said it was probably from the people before us. I don't usually write reviews but had someone else written about bedbug sightings at this motel we would never have stayed here. I feel others should be aware of the possibility of this happening.

When you are booking the least expensive motel you can find that will accept pets, you cannot expect much. You hope it is clean inside. This place was spotless and did not smell of cigarettes, so 5 stars. The housekeepers are the best. Two double beds, night stand in between, flat screen on wall, small desk with lamp. Microwave and fridge. Everything worked. Bathtub not dingy but bright white. Free coffee, if you like that kind of thing — — I mean, c'mon, motel room coffee? This is the kind of place where cars are parked 6 feet from the rooms, but I didn't find it any noisier than any other hotel. You can see that the owners have done some repairing or rebuilding. You can actually see the lumber they put in around the window frame and under the sink counter. But even the lumber is clean! And who cares? You can't see unless you pick up the curtains and look. The manager was a great guy, cheerful and helpful to the nth degree, and he sure puts in long hours to make this place work. I hope it does. One wrinkle: I asked over the phone about pets but I was not given complete information. They do not want a pet over 20 lbs. When I showed up I wasn't charged but when he realized I had a 50 lb dog anyway the mgr. Waived the $20 deposit and $10 fee. Great guy.

Never have I stayed at a motel where the staff is more friendly, they accommodate the guest above and beyond. Clean establishment, great service housekeeping is on point. Restaurants in walking distance and a relaxing environment. In town working for few days, nice rooms quiet area comfortable beds clean. No body bothering you in parking lot. Would stay here again.

A very basic, but enjoyable motel to stay at. The location is convenient, although slightly noisy. Rooms are clean and organized, and service is also good.

Great for the price and clean. BUT a huge disadvantage is that there are no deadbolts on the door, only a simple doorknob lock. I was fine but it made me nervous.

In my experience… its nice to be able to park right outside my door and not have to haul all my stuff through the parking lot and hotel. Very clean and super comfy pillow top beds. Soundproof. Lots of nice little touches and attention to detail. Great value price and friendly staff. They sell out fast… make reservations… or not. I got the last room at midnight.

Like stated before me, this is your regular run of the mill no frills motel. But don't let that deter you away. Friendly staff, updated rooms, and very close to the freeway. This the best, cheapest, clean overnight motel I've ever run into. Good Wi-Fi, comfy beds. I do recommend bringing your own pillow of you're a fussy person who is picky about your pillows. If I'm passing through, I'd definitely stay here again for an overnighter. My only con is parking space is limited.

The Turnpike Motel is a small, independent motel with clean rooms and a vintage vibe. The beds were comfy, the floor smelled freshly steamed, the shower pressure was great, and the fridge and microwave in the room was a nice surprise given how cheap it was to spend the night. The front desk was kind enough to allow for a late check-out, so my partner and I had a little extra time in the morning to enjoy our breakfast from the nearby Sheetz and flick through some cable channels. If I'm ever feeling tired driving through West Virginia once more, I'll endeavor to land here again!

My son & I stayed a week ago and really enjoyed coming back to the Turnpike each night. Walking to go eat out and huge plus. Strong Wi-Fi. Room is like new and beds are new. Local owners and staff.

Its located in an awesome location. You have access to a pool, tennis court, and even basketball court. The employees are nice and friendly and everything in the room works. Its just as good as a holiday inn at half price.
