Currently staying for a friends wedding… I give a 1 ⭐️ Small rooms, Terrible environment, Parking lot is crammed, and internet is TERRIBLE! It's a shared network with all the guests and it's super slow. The lady at the front desk has reset it so many times and it's not any better. The outside is misleading but the inside is poor quality. There is crusty stuff on the walls in my room and not to mention the place smells like moth balls.
The staff takes forever to answer the front desk phone and staff in general are not friendly and nasty looking. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! I will gladly travel out of my way to avoid this place and stay somewhere else that actually cares!

Nice clean rooms and conveniently located. Wonderful front desk staff especially Brenden who went out of his way to help us find great places to eat and visit during our stay. 5 ⭐️

How are people saying the rooms are gross? They are beautiful. Free hot breakfast with waffles. Can't go wrong.

I am here on a 4 day business trip, and have spent several weeks over a period of two months. They are accommodating, prompt, and friendly. They're always willing to do extra and have a 'no frills' downhome energy. The only complaint I have is the complementary water station tastes a little funky.

The pool is closed indefinitely! If you are looking for a pool go elsewhere. There is a Quality Inn in Fayette two miles down that is supposed to have a pool. We prepaid and they could not give us the same rate at the Quality Inn same day. The hotel seems clean, the room was fine. Outside smells like sewage though I am unsure if that is hotel related. The staff were friendly but smoke directly in front of the hotel doors so you have to walk through cigarette smoke to get inside.

! POOL IS CLOSED! *** The pool has been closed for a long time after the health department closed it. But the website still says "outdoor pool. " I could not get a straight answer as to how long it has been closed, but it has been long enough to update the website. We prepaid for the room and got a good deal so we could not switch hotels. Staff was friendly and attentive and provided us with a list of public pools in the area. The room was fine enough, pretty standard and clean. All said my 2 and 4 year old girls were disappointed with the lacknof pool. This would be a 3.5 to 4 star review if pool were in working order, or if it was not advertised on the website. We just feel a little duped.

We checked in overnight. Wes was very accommodating and pleasant! He made sure that we were happy with our room and was very nice! The room was clean. The hot breakfast was tasty and had enough options.

I would not stay here again. Our room was moldy smelling, hit you when you opened the door. The swimming pool had a sign on it, closed by Health dept. The y did not know when it would be open. There was no work being done on it (5 days stay). I saw the kitchen worker put the leftover eggs and sausage in a ziplock bag after breakfast and return them to a fridge for use the next day. She did not see me come back into the room. Don't eat here! On the other hand, the staff in general were very nice and helpful, although the front desk guy was outside smoking while a customer stood waiting for quite awhile. We had no options by the time we got here so we stayed.

Nice location but the room smelled like smoke the entire stay, there was a giant wasp nest outside the window and they ended up coming inside the room, the Wi-Fi only worked ~15% of the time, bthe cable TV kept cutting in and out, the staff was rude (except for one of the front desk ladies (Ashley? ) And one of the cleaners who were very nice), pool was closed the whole stay, and the breakfast room was entirely too small to accommodate everyone for breakfast. 3/10 would not recommend.

Fair condition hotel. Moderate price. Hotel is in need of upgrade remodel showing age. Carpet and floor surface could use thorough cleaning. One individual a week before my visit comments about bed bugs. I did not see or experience that in our room Staff were friendly. The area for breakfast was small It limited access to food at times due to table chair crowding in small room. If an individual had wheelchair or other accommodation need the breakfast area would be difficult possibily. Otherwise, food decent. Waffles, eggs, etc. Not bad for "free" with room. Overall, we have made a note of the Comfort Inn location for future traveling. We drive this route a few times a year between Florida to Niagara Falls NY. *Near the New River Gorge national park, a very beautiful place to see. *A decent place to stay, friendly staff. Thank you.

I would give this place a — 1000 if I could… checked in… slept for maybe 30 minutes woke when husband came in from smoking a cigarette and had a bed bug on my pillow. My husband took the pillow with the bed bug on it to the clerk… his response to it was "it's that time of year". We went up the road to Quality and had a nice peaceful sleep with NO bedbugs. Do not stay there they don't care about their guests.

Rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Staff looks tired, but is still friendly. Large fridge (have stored an entire week of food in mine), comfortable bed, lots of pillows, microwave, closet, and small dresser. Internet does leave a little to be desired but I use a hotspot usually. Quiet, even with a room by the elevator. Highly recommended, plus it's close to a shopping complex.

Nice place. Nothing fancy. Pretty standard breakfast and room. Good for a stopover. Not much choice in nearby restaurants.

Stayed one night used 2 rooms (my daughter / husband in one room, my husband and I in the other. ) The rooms were clean, the bathrooms clean with plenty of towels. The front desk personel friendly. Only drawback was breakfast is stopped at 9!. Only had coffee and we were not the only ones looking to grab a bite to eat before hitting the road. Other late quests were looking for breakfast too. This is the first Comfort Inn that I stayed at that breakfast stops at 9. I suggest you change that policy.

Solid basic hotel. We had no problems, the room was clean and quiet. We had a king room and it was more spacious than I would have thought. We left before breakfast began at 6 AM.

Small unassuming hotel, but very clean and had a great south pub like bar with great food and ambiance. Free breakfast and the server was lovely. Kept It well stocked and clean. Would definitely come back again on our way south.

Excellent staff, friendly and made you feel like you were important. The room was comfortable and clean, a little dated but nice. Breakfast bar was nice.

This hotel is perfect if you're here for a few days. The rooms are clean, they have a mini fridge, microwave, plenty of lightning, and a clean bathroom. Only downfall is they aren't pet friendly, which is why I said if you're only staying a few days. It's close to a a few stores as well! I've stayed here before, and I'll say here again when I visit as long as we don't have our dogs.

Stayed as part of roadtrip. Very nice rooms with very friendly staff. Will go again soon :)

Great location, clean updated rooms loved the shower, great price with free Wi-Fi and great hot breakfast very friendly staff I will be back all 5 stars.

Stayed twice there for one night on our way to Florida and back. The staff is attentive. The breakfast is fine they have eggs and waffles and all other typical american food you will not be hungry. And the bed is comfy. What else do you need for one night. Not a bad experience overall.

Enjoyed our accommodations. Breal fast was hot and filling, better than some other places. Staff friendly and courteous. If travelling thru this area again, will stay here. Thank you.

Comfortable. Clean. Not a lot of water pressure in the shower. The luggage carts all need maintenance: handles were loose and the tires were flat on every cart. The breakfast was standard Comfort Inn fare: eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, fruits, and juices (the orange juice tasted watered down). I'd stay there again. I gave only 3 start because of the luggage cart issues and the juice.

I found several finger nail and toenail clippings all over the floor. Also their were brown stains on the towels in the bathroom. After driving six hours our party of six wanted to sit down together as a family and eat the pizza we ordered. Well we sat down in the breakfast area (that was not closed off) because it was the only place our family could sit down as a group on the premises. We then got told by the staff “your not allowed to be in here” when asked where we could eat at we were prompted with no answer. So we had to eat our food in one of our rooms (with the fingernails) and had to deal with fitting six people at a table for one. Needless to say I was not a happy camper if I could have gotten a refund I would have gladly got one and driven the rest of the way to my house to be in a comfortable clean environment.

Roach on wall and stink bug on ceiling, so didn't even consider eating breakfast there! Guy who checked us out this morning made no apologies for the hotel. Water pressure was terrible, so didn't even try to wash my hair.

While the location was a little out of the way, it is convenient to Highway 19, which means the towns of Oak Hill, Fayetteville, and Beckley are all very close. This hotel has one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in — I immediately called my office and asked to stay here again the next time I'm in the area. Room service is full of super sweet ladies, and the pool outside is seasonal. Breakfast was standard continental fare.

Rooms were reasonably clean, but had a persistent faint musty odor. Staff was friendly and helpful with local suggestions. Free hot breakfast bar was a nice perk with a decent selection, much better than the typical "continental" usually seen.

We have a large family of 7. The staff was so helpful and courteous. They helped us find the perfect accommodations for our large family. A great end to our vacation!

Awesome place great service! The rooms are very nice and clean, the toiletries are not cheap cost-cutters, the front desk and housekeeping staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful, well-run place!

If I could give this Hotel a minus 20 million stars I would for the way I was treated this weekend. The story is so long it pains me to go over it again. But here goes I reserved my room because I was traveling to West Virginia from Virginia. I called and reserved the room and paid for the room at 5:40 p. M. Before I arrived so all she would have to do is take my card. Well after checking in I was told I would have to pay check cash because it wouldn't take my card. I am always afraid of card theft so I make sure I always have plenty of money on the card but not enough for thieves to go on a shopping spree (meaning room rental and incidentals) Never the less I paid cash for the room which was $221.76 plus $50 for incidentals. The clerk even said you might want to check on your card as I was going back to my room so worried about my card I immediately called the bank, and they told me that Comfort Inn Oak hill WV took there room fee at 5:40 pm which I knew but trusted the clerk so I immediately went back to the clerk with the bank rep on the phone telling the clerk that you all took the money so the room has been paid for. The clerk called the manager and told him what the bank told her. Then he told her to tell me that I would get my money back on my card in 5-7 business days. So basically they wanted me to pay cash and keep my money from the card.

Found evidence of bed bugs in friends room. Ours was fine though. It's a bit concerning.

We are for a week at this hotel and have had unfortunately not so good experiences. As we entered the room, smelled very strong smoke, although it is a non-smoking room. In the evening, I discovered an air freshener
hidden behind the bed.
In addition, I found underwear under the desk, so this was confirmed to me this room not good may be have been cleaned.
Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff is kind of absent throughout the building. I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes because my room keys didn't work initially. Went back down later to ask about a local map and possible attractions for tourists only to be told off by the guy working at the desk. The lady who first checked us in was very kind, but he was not so much. Overall, the rooms are nice and comfortable… but the staff is not quite so.

It was a nice room with a microwave and fridge included. I would stay here again especially for the rates.
