Not kid friendly! Especially not special needs children friendly! The owners of this establishment are the same as the Loyal Inn and Civic Inn! I brought my twin four year olds up from the east coast because one of my sons needs the type of therapy provided in the city of Seattle — shortly into our stay I went to the front desk to extend our stay by other night when I was asked to leave! Why? Because we were here at the la Quinta inn and were told to leave because supposedly someone saw me “smoking” in my room! What they saw was the breathing treatment machine we use for my son! And why someone at this propriety was watching me and my children in our room at night is beyond me! My oldest son is special needs, and hums when he is upset. Don't come here if you have children, especially if one is special needs! I'm debating on forming a law suit tbh, but I don't feel like they deserve that much energy. But I definitely don't want it happening to anyone else!

Wi-Fi was so slow and bad connected all the time!

Great place to stay and facility looks nice. But there is no hot tub, pool or anything like that unfortunately. Staff all seem to be new and learning. We were locked out of our room and it took over an hour between security and maintenance how to get the door open. Other than that, so far it’s been a good stay and the location is central to everything. Don’t forget to pay for parking…

Location is good in downtown. It's close to a little of everything. You can walk to several restaurants or bars easily. The hotel is clean. Yiu can tell it is an older building but they keep it clean and tidy. The rooms are decent. They have been remodeled and updated. The beds are comfortable and some of the rooms even have outside balconies. The view is of the office building behind the Hotel though. The o e thing that wasn't great was that they charge you $18 for parking if you want to park under the Hotel in the secure parking. They ha e a free breakfast with a pretty good spread in the mornings as well. Over all, it is a good place to stay and pretty easy to get to.

The beds were perfect. Staff was super helpful and polite. The construction noise was really not that bad. We loved our stay! Definitely will stay again!

Rooms were pretty clean, drop off was tight but that's expected for a city. Construction was great for the kids to watch across the street but I could see that as a downside for light, late sleepers. All in all a nice experience and the breakfast was great.

Decent location with plenty of amenities including a laundry room, computers and printer, and free breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30. The rooms and bathroom looked fairly clean, and had a reasonable amount of space for all your luggage. One of the few complaints was that there was no safe box. A great place to stay if you want to explore downtown s Seattle.

It was our cheapest option. Great location, we ended up shopping at the Amazon Go store for some quick food. Walked everywhere from there. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was an extra $15/night, cheap and convenient.

We arrived at this hotel at 1am after a 22 hour flight ordeal with no luggage and absolutely exhausted. The person at the front desk was very understanding, had our room ready and all the items we needed to get thru the night. The next morning, a different person at the desk met us with the same smile and generosity as they provided us some items to prepare for our day. Great rooms, amazing breakfast and even better service. They made a tough situation so much better.

It's an old building that they've tried renovating, but compared to other downtown Seattle structures it's still a small very-dated building. The inside is nicer than the outside. There was some pink mildew above shower and dust on bathroom shelves that held towels, definitely could have been cleaner and smelled better than what it was. The parking garage is first come first serve and doesn't have spots for even half the amount of rooms they have. Also the parking garage is very cramped, does not make it easy for a small SUV to maneuver; couldn't imagine a larger vehicle being able manage. I have no idea where you could park that's reasonably close if you couldn't park in garage. The coffee they have is very weak, being Seattle I expected them to at least have good coffee. Overall not bad, but also not good…

Second time staying at this location and it will not be my last! Beds are super comfy, pretty close to attractions, friendly staff, the decor is perfect. Not to mention free cookies lol it's the little things :) Stay here! You won't regret it!

Clean rooms, nice lobby and a continental breakfast. Only complaint is that housekeeping kept trying to come in the room without knocking, before checkout AND when the Do Not Disturb sign was up. Definitely make sure you use the deadbolt when in the room.

We did not expect the level of quality that we found at la quinta. The room had all the amenities we could want, and was beautifully presented. Obviously it was not a 5 star hotel but they did a great job at providing what they are expected to.

We stayed at this Hotel for one of the best rooms and nights we have had in many years. The people were great, the room was wonderful for someone in a wheelchair. This was the night before my wifes brain surgery.
I called back to make reservations for her follow-up appointment, I got told it would be $109.00 a night for our stay I Said GREAT I need to check with my wife and called back 2 days later to reserve the room, ONLY to find out that "NOW" the room would be 109 for the first night, and increasing every night until our last night which would be almost 200.00 for that room, on a Thursday, in the middle of April. No holidays, no events, nothing going on to make that room needed for 200.00 bucks a night.
I was NOT told the rate would increase, if I had taken the Room then LA QUINTA would have taken me and my wife for a Crap-load of money without telling us this in the first place.
SO LA QUINTA this is how you treat handicapped people, people who need the Hospital a few blocks away?. Did you do this just because I have stuttering speech from my MS, or because I am in a wheelchair. This is totally stupid. People come for your proximity to Harborview, and the wonderful views.
We had one of the best before surgery nights possible from this place, its too bad your out for nothing but the money, and it seems to take from those that need the help the most. The sick, handicapped, and those that have to be that close to the hospital.

This LQ was perfect. It's right downtown but just far enough off the beaten path enough to be closer to all the Seattle has to offer. At the front desk Edwin had greeted me and was very pleasant and personable. The room was a "studio" style which was a bit odd, but the room was massive. The pillows on the bed we're a bit strange and lumpy but the bed was comfortable. The added balcony was nice, but it overlooks into an office building which was really strange to me. Be aware, parking is NOT free here as advertised and the parking garage could be a tight fit for a large suv. Overall I'd come here again.

Roll away beds are not comfortable. You can feel every spring in the mattress. Customer service is wonderful. Lots of options for complamentry breakfast. They do need to add a hot tub. The location is perfect. Close to everything you would want to see.

Guy at the front desk with a beard (forgot his name, sorry! ) Was hilarious. Room was tidy and spacious at a great rate, especially compared to comparable hotels in the area. Looking forward to my next visit.

The park market is a place to walk to, in the city centre. The price is more appropriate, there are parking spaces, but if you want to stop, remember to arrive early, and then walk out, no longer in the car, or a drive out, late back to the hotel, there will be no position.

The hotel is nice and clean. It is in an area that is relatively easy to get to. Just around the corner is a Whole foods which will allows easy access to what goods might be needed. Parking spaces are a bit difficult to come by if arriving after 6pm. Other than that, everything about the stay was pleasant and better than expected.

This hotel was crappy. The parking garage was apparently full and v crowded. The person working said to go find street parking but there were homeless people everywhere and I did not feel safe whatsoever. Tbh, I would give this place a 0 star if I could. Everywhere was crowded and I was scared that someone would break my cars window. The register also told us to go drive around on the side of the street, but there are a lot of homeless people. The register person was kind enough to let us cancel last minute though.

A good location; contains a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Also has free, reasonably fast internet. Room service is good and very accommodating. The breakfast is also very convenient if you aren't able to get a quick bite elsewhere!

We selected this hotel because they are pet friendly. There was a lot of construction and the "grass" is a park a few blocks away. Not exactly what I expected for our geriatric pup. It was a decent place to sleep and the breakfast was good.

Didn’t even stay here. The parking situation wasn’t clearly explained. The garage was apparently full, I’ve never had this happen at a hotel before, but it was. It was explained to me that there was street parking & a garage across the street. We went to the garage across the street as there was no street parking & yeah… there was parking but only until 4 am & there were homeless people camped out in there. Didn’t exactly feel safe in the idea of going back down at 4 am to pay for more parking or to leave our vehicle there at all. We were just trying to get some shut eye before traveling the next day & Seattle was our halfway stop. Plus we had a concert we wanted to attend tonight so we thought it would work out great. Not so much. And not excited, but without reliable parking how could we expect to stay?

Everything was okay. I enjoyed their breakfast, it's always live when it's included even if they serve American coffee!

I was actually shocked at how poor my experience was here, as other reviews were mostly positive. The highlights: there is no signage for where to park, you have to drive down an alley, go past an entrance to a parking garage, enter a code into a black box to open a gate that looks likes it's for a private business, and the spots are tiny. The first room we were put in had a bug (see pics). We were given keys to another room, packed up our stuff, moved to the new room only to find out the keys didn't work, went to the lobby, got new keys, got into the room to find hairs in my friend's bed and stains on the curtains, and another bug. At least this time it was just a lady bug. Don't stay here, it's nasty…

Great room! Very clean. Very nice staff! Great breakfast! even allowed for a late check out. Only downside was all the construction and attempting to find a parking spot lol.

Very nice staff, the rooms are nice and so quiet. Also th r breakfast is delicious. Cookies at the desk every evening if you desire something sweet. And best of all they like our fur babies.

Great location, comfortable beds. They had 2 apple computers in the main lobby that were always available to use with internet. Wi-Fi was good. They had free cookies out at the main desk every night. Breakfast was excellent as usual with La Quinta. Overall a great stay!

Have stayed twice — would stay again. Management and staff very friendly, rooms clean, breakfast good. Within walking distance to Space Needle and Pikes Place Market, but long enough that uber or taxi might be preferred.

The room was rather small. We had two beds and a roll away bed to accommodate 5 of us. This left no room to move around or put our luggage. The location was decent. Close to the space Needle and museums. Water pressure was great in the shower and the breakfast had a good selection. The beds were way too soft for our liking. You sank right in. The hotel staff seemed friendly enough.

Beautiful place. Beyond what I expected. Really a great place to stay.

It was very clean, very nicely furnished. The staff was so sweet and the breakfast was surprisingly good. The actual bedroom of the suite didn't have a/c do it took forever to cool off from the main room but other than that, it was lovely!

Great value for a 3 star hotel. Buffet breakfast was great & rooms were very presentable.

Location of the hotel was very central to downtown. You can walk everywhere within 10-15 min. Hotel looks sketchy and run down from outside upon initial look. However once you go inside, it is quite nice and clean inside. The room was also spacious and clean. Beds were a little soft for my preference but I was able to sleep. There is some construction going on at the moment but it didn't bother us as we left the hotel before it started at 9am on a Saturday. Weekdays started at 7. Would stay here agakn.

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms and common areas were clean. Breakfast was decent, coffee was way better than I expected! Free parking was a bonus. Would have given 5 stars but room was a bit musty smelling as the bathroom fan didn't quite do the job.

The employees are kind and helpful. I got a room with a view of the Space Needle which was unexpected, but great! I also liked the free breakfast, coffee, and cookies in the evening. Free parking was a big added bonus! They even held my baggage after I checked out, so I could explore Seattle the rest of the afternoon.

Awesome location for everything from Pikes Market to the Space Needle. Customer service was excellent and Diana at the front desk was awesome in helping with all our questions and needs. Rooms are great and clean. Free breakfast was awesome and we will stay here again next time we are in town.

Great location to different kinds of food and within walking distance to the space needlet and other attractions around seattle.

My stay was fine. The room was a little crowded but not terrible. Breakfast was fine, but not great — about what I'd expect from a free continental breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Pretty good downtown location as you're a 10 minute walk from the restaurants and about 15 minutes from Pike place. The area still has some lower income feeling with the amount of homeless people at night. The parking downstairs is limited and cramped and a bit hard to maneuver your car out. There was also a bit of construction that started making noise at 7am. Other than that, the rooms are nice and clean. You get cable channels and hbo. The breakfast is served from 630 to 930am.

Dirty hotel. Was put in a room next to an extremely noisey engine room. I definitely left a beloved hat in my room after checkout, there is no place else it could be. I called up the hotel to check lost and found and they said it wasn't there; Obviously kept by cleaners. Do not leave valuables in room. Massive construction work at all hours of the day on street outside hotel, not even any access to main entrance most days I stayed.

I realize that this is (ostensibly) a three-star hotel, but they really could do better here… and they don't even try. For one thing, the location has been little improved and somehow the overall impression is that this is a great place to get mugged at night. The parking spots are tiny and obviously lacking (especially towards the evening—you may not get one! ) and the overall design motif of the exterior is "decommissioned mental asylum. " Take the stairs and you see floor after floor of haphazard, frayed wiring dangerously close to equally haphazard, worn piping. Wonderful! My room was big: a "living room" with a TV, a bedroom (with get another TV), and a bathroom. The bed was big (and complete with an assortment of small ants). However, even on the seventh floor, there was no view to speak of (I could glimpse the Space Needle from the corner of one window). Everything was generally clean, although I did notice some white fingerprints on some of the furniture. However, the biggest problem at La Quinta is noise: "Symphony for Construction Equipment in A Minor, Op. 63" goes on from early morning to late afternoon on the left, and quite audible—shall we say—neighbours on the right… oh, and I'm pretty sure I could hear the elevator as well. The Wi-Fi barely works. There is no safe in the room. Yes, there is "free" breakfast, and it is tolerable (albeit with no variety whatsoever). Yes, the staff here is friendly and someone makes fresh, free cookies each evening.

It is a beautiful and elegant hotel. All are very friendly and helped us with our trip. This placed in the center of everything and walk everywhere.

My family and I had two rooms. From the first, it was a remarkable experience. Jordan on the front desk was beyond helpful with getting us settled in two rooms across the hall from each other. Each room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and rival the Westin where we usually stay. Each morning the breakfast was served with a smile by Maria who went the extra mile to make sure each guest was content. Food was great and excellent selection of cereals, eggs, sausage, waffles and LOVED the oatmeal! Pauline at the front desk in the evenings was wonderful each night when we needed a cab called, or just some general directions to local attractions. Since this was our first time visiting Seattle, LaQuinta went the extra mile in making our vacation a pleasant memory. With free Wifi, free breakfast and free parking — all located downtown, and a squeaky clean room and friendly staff — I highly recommend staying here. All round wonderful experience! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great room and location. Pet friendly without fees. Free parking in garage. Tasty breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Only complaint was the noisy garbage trucks at 6am in the alley.

We were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service and quality of our stay at La Quinta. Our suite was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated (great photos), and well equipped with amenities. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking was fine, and breakfast was nice. Exceptional value.

Great location. Walking distance from the Space Needle and tram distance to Pike's Place. Really good restaurants around (such as Ten on 9th… great Mac 'n Cheese). I had no trouble finding a spot in the parking garage, even though the hotel was at full occupancy. The suite I had was very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. They provided 4 pillows on a queen sized bed, which was awesome (you can never have too many pillows). My only ding on the stay is the breakfast is on the lower side of chain motels/hotels… they only had sausage and eggs as the warm meal, along with cereal, oatmeal and waffles. For a hotel in the city, great price, especially if you have a car.

I'm giving this hotel five stars for being a great value for the money. Built in 1960, the building has been remodeled inside fairly recently, I would say, with a nice sitting room, computer room for printing boarding passes, and breakfast room for the included breakfast, and my room was fine, with a comfortable bed. And parking is free, though spaces somewhat limited. I walked to my business downtown in less than 20 minutes and to dinner at the 13 Coins restaurant a few blocks away. Try an 'Irish Death' if you like dark beer, excellent!

This hotel is a tremendous value. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat — just a short walk to Pike's Market, the Waterfront, and to the Space Needle. We had a great visit, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Definitely tremendous location in downtown Seattle. They could improve the parking lot by offering more space.

I gave it two stars because there are equivalent hotels in the Seattle core for less money. The room was clean, but small. The mattress was one of the worst I've slept on — very soft and sagging. The balcony door lock was broken and they had installed a bar to "lock" it. Be aware of their claims that parking is included in the room price. There is a LIMITED amount of parking and it is filled EARLY. When I asked for compensation, the manager said it was "one of a few number of downtown hotels offering free parking. " I said if you don't have any parking available, it's not free. He just repeated himself.

They advertise parking on the website. My flight gets in 5 hours late and I arrive after midnight. Go to park and no spaces. They have 3 spots roped off and one car is double parked. The guy on duty informs me that I can park in any of the public garages nearby. Needless to say I wasn't impressed. I picked this hotel for the parking and price. For the price it's an ok hotel. Nothing great. But don't count on parking. Very small lot under the hotel.

Construction everywhere around the hotel, streets blocked off, it took us 1 hour 20 minutes to go 1 mile. We could not get to the roads that led to the hotel because of gridlock at 5:30pm which was caused by road closures. The hotel needs to let you know about the construction and advise you to not try to get to the hotel between 4pm and 7pm. The Staff is awesome, polite, very caring and compassionate. The room was ok, found big long black hairs on our comforter. I paid extra for a balcony, it was dirty, but was nice to be able to get outside. I would pick somewhere else if I was to stay in the area again. Free off street parking was a plus, Lobby is very pleasant.

The exterior doesn't seem like much but once inside, it is super cute with an updated lobby and even fireplaces! Friendly and accommodating staff, walking distance to just about everywhere downtown, clean rooms, free parking and free freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at night. Breakfast was your standard complimentary deal but it was not bad and it was free. There was fresh lemon water and hot apple cider in the lobby every morning and the Wifi worked exceptionally well. The Space Needle can be seen from front doors of hotel.

This is a posting that I am submitting to as many review sites as possible, it is a real experience, it really happened and we are the real people who experienced this fromm this la quinta, below is the post this hotel deserves for this event. I booked a full week at this La Quinta location for July 22nd thru the 29th, 2014. We are returns club members so I guaranteed the room for late arrival. Here's where the fun begins, my credit card was lost about 2 months earlier and I received a new card from Visa, well, I forgot to change the payment information in my hotel reservation. When I arrived late on the 22nd, after 11pm, Guess what? Yes, Our room was cancelled and given up to another person, probably a walk in and probably at a much higher rate. To say the least we were very upset traveling from Texas to Seattle at the height of cruise season and with no place to stay. It gets worse, The clerk told me straight away, we run all the credit cards at 6pm and when yours was declined we gave your room to another person. They never bothered to check are estimated arrival time, they never bothered to try to call even though they had our phone number, they never even tried to make contact of any kind, phone email, nothing.

Ambiance: While the outside of the building seems a bit outdated, but the inside was just fine. They even have a rad fish tank up front! Staff: All staff were really friendly, helpful, courteous, etc. I had a package shipped to me at the hotel. Upon check-in even before asking about the package, the clerk handed me the package. Awesome! They also were happy to accommodate a late check-out without any problems. Room: The room felt clean and well-maintained. It was also surprisingly large for a hotel room! Not the most up-to-date but it was perfectly nice and clean. Location: Great — easy to find, great downtown location. Love that the walk to Whole Foods only took about 5 minutes. Internet: worked great. No interruptions, weak signals, etc.

This was a really nice hotel. Its by far the best La Quinta I've been to, and all the staff are super nice, helpful, and accommodating. Its not too far from downtown (walking distance) and its right next to the Space Needle/EMP museum/Glass museum. I think if you are looking for an affordable, reliable hotel this is a good one.

The hotel was beautiful. The only reason for the less than great review? The bathroom was freezing, and so poorly vented that once I took a shower the condensation on the floor made me feel like I could fall and hurt myself at any moment. Very uncomfortable.
