Reviews of Hyatt House Seattle Downtown 3*
Loved walking over to the Chihuly museum after the warm coffee and warm shower and at the end of the day dropping into close, local bars for a coffee or hot toddy and conversation before changing for the evenings out Both convenient and close to everything that has bus or tour access. Even got to know the route drivers on a first name basis. Best trip in a longtime where I spent the days alone and then went out with my Joe at night.
The Staff is awesome! Rooms are large and cozy. The bar downstairs is great. The only con is it is a 30 min walk to where all the action is. They do have the mono rail and a free shuttle. The space needle is right here like out the window. I love it here.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love the variety of room floor plans and available add-ons. Family friendly, pet friendly and best of all, my execs love it.
Space Needle is right across the street from the hotel as well as sightseeing tour bus stop. Great location and hotel room is amazingly quiet. Cute and modern looking room with full kitchenette. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast time is awesome from 7-11 am and checkout time is at noon. Suits night owls like us very well. Though the price is on the higher range but it's totally worth it. Will stay here again next time on our staycation in Seattle.
Great guest room, tasted cooked breakfast. Only negative is the car park in the basement, very very narrow space, not suitable for a larger car. Otherwise all is great.
Cross the road from space needle and Chihuly Garden & Glass. Hope on the monorail — one stop or get the free shuttle to lots of attractions. Very helpful staff.
Great location! Great customer service.
Super great location Everything is just across the street. Seattle center and all the activities there. Monorail is also there. You have McDonald's across the street. Staff is just great Very very good breakfast. Shuttle service to both piers… market and pier 66 (cruises port dock). Clean and very high quality of service. Very reccomended.
Stayed at the Hyatt House in Seattle for 3 nights the room was comfortable and the employees very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Very central to all the tourist attractions. Had a very pleasant stay and the Happy Hour was great: 3 dollars for a pint!

RespondFacilities outside of the rooms are relatively minimal (though breakfast is good), but the rooms themselves are very comfortable and tasteful. Views are variable, though a good number look out over the Seattle Center/Space Needle, which is nice. Staff pleasant, check-in/out frictionless.

RespondGreat hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was very clean and having a small kitchenette made life easy. I also enjoyed the happy hour and the roof top patio with a view of the space needle. You can pretty much walk to anywhere from this point or get on public transit easy. The bed was also very comfortable. I will be staying at this property again on my next trip to Seattle.
Great place, across the street from the Space Needle. The suit was plenty big for a family of four. Don't be alarmed by the monorail outside the window. It literally went right past our room and you couldn't feel or hear a thing. The included breakfast was great. A step up from Holiday Inn or Hampton fare.
This hotel exceeded my expectations, it was great for a family of 4, particularly since everyone was jet lagged, having a separate room helped immensely. The Hyatt team were super friendly and accommodating, just makes all the difference to be honest. Parking under the hotel was easy enough and cheaper than public parking across the street. Breakfast was really nice, with a fresh omelette station would recommend.
Had a great room with a view (it was clean, bright, and felt updated). We always looked forward to going back after being out all day. Showers are large and water pressure is good. The windows had both a privacy blind and blackout blind (which was very nice for sleeping in / getting natural light and privacy at the same time). Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful… I give them credit for the extreme patience they showed during checkin (was pretty busy).
The free shuttle to the different locations was extremely beneficial. Daniel (shuttle driver) was so helpful and awesome. The people at the front desk were not extremely helpful in providing information about the hotel but Daniel made up for it. The free breakfast was incredible. Nice big room. Overall great experience!
We found the staff helpful both prior to, and during our stay at the hotel. There is no shuttle from SEA-TAC and the trip was $65 one way, but they provide a shuttle to the pier for cruise ship guests. The breakfast variety and fare was standard for a hotel in this category, but they will cook a breakfast to order. The room was much smaller than expected and much more expensive than the size and amenities warranted ($584.00/night on Saturday). A similar room stay often runs $150.00-$175.00 in other cities or further out from downtown Seattle. The hotel charges a $50 fee that is removed from billing once your room is checked. All said, I would stay again if the room was reasonably priced, but not at the rate we paid. A stay at famous spa we like that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner with drinks, along with a spa treatment is about $650.00/night, for reference.
Disappointed at the very least. Check in was lengthy. No place to park for check in so ended up using the wrong lot. This was another $30 fee. I got a King Studio and the bed was right next to the bathroom so no privacy. No fan. No bathtub either. Oh and no view so dont let the website fool you. The only thing I'm looking at is the neighbors in their apartment. For the price I could have done a lot better. And for the view might as well have stayed out of town!
My husband and I stayed here for a few days last month and had a great experience. The front desk was always very friendly and helpful and we loved that the hotel was in walking distance of a lot of attractions. The room was very clean and it was always quiet at night (as it should be! ) with no disturbances. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're planning on visiting Seattle!
The location for this hotel is perfect if you want to visit the Space Needle or surrounding area. The free shuttle to the pier is very convenient a well. The rooms are very modern and spacious. The kitchenette is a nice addition. We stayed in a 2 queen suite and there was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff was very friendly and even let us check in 3 hours early! We will definitely stay here again!
While our room did not have a view of the Space Needle and Glass Garden, the 8th floor, terrace, did offer a brilliant view of the Seattle skyline. The room was very cozy with a nice nook for reading and a full kitchen. The hotel offered complementary breakfast which was plentiful and delicious. Hyatt House also provided transport service at no extra charge. Great hospitality and would definitely recommend it.
Very comfortable stay. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. They normally only allow one parking spot per room but allowed us the two spots we needed. This is my second time staying at the Hyatt House and I would definitely recommend it.
Stayed for two nights at the Hyatt House and really enjoyed it. Great location and friendly staff. The front desk was helpful during check in and throughout our stay. They also recommended a good late night spot to eat near by. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
The room (king bed with view) was nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the shower was a good size. There were some slight issues with the TV remote responding, but those seemed to go away pretty quickly. The staff was super nice and willing to help. Breakfast was good and had nice variety. The location is unbeatable, right across from Seattle center.
The room was very nice and clean. The TV had a few issues with freezing and not responding to the remote, but that didn't last long. Breakfast choices were somewhat limited, but still a nice variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great.
This is my favorite hotel by far! Great location, walking distance to downtown and across the street from the space needle and the Pop Culture museum (which is a MUST visit! ). The offer amazing breakfast, free coffee/tea 24 hours a day. There is a bar in the hotel and they have great food. Our room was in the corner and we were looking right at the space needle. Rooms are super nice and the one we had came with a full kitchen! Will be back for sure!
Absolutely loved this place! It was a surprise visit for my birthday and I wish I could have stayed an extra night. They have roof top access which I will include in my review, and our room had perfect view of Space Needle! WORTH ABSOLUTELY EVERY PENNY TO STAY HERE! Oh and they have a gym And a really sweet guy who drives the shuttle and take you places/picks you up.
Whilst we were staying here there was a fire evacuation at 2.30am. There was no communication between staff and guests. Everyone was confused, didn't know where to evacuate to. Guests were just loitering in the lobby confused. The staff didn't make any announcement to guests. The night auditor just looked grumpy and stressed completely unaware how to deal with the situation. I talked to the staff the next morning and she advised me the hotel had never provided them with fire training. This concerns me greatly. I use to work in hotels and fire training and how to respond to the situation and talk to guests is of utmost importance. Completely unprofessional.
Located right next to the Space Needle, it was a very convenient place to stay when visiting as a tourist. The room was spacious and clean, and they offer a complementary shuttle that will pick you up or drop you off anywhere within a mile of the hotel, including Pike Place Market. The included breakfast buffet runs from 6:30-9:30, and has a decent selection of food to choose from, like an omelette bar, fruit, breads, cereal, and oatmeal. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.
Awesome hotel across the street from the space needle. Very comfortable with a family of five. Parking underground is also convenient ($25/day). The complimentary breakfast is great — they have a made to order omelette bar (fantastic). We enjoyed our stay here immensely. **rooftop terrace is also a really cool feature to enjoy the views.
Great location. Front desk, maintenance, bar and kitchen staff excellent. Fantastic breakfasts! Pull out sleeper in a room for six people was awful. Moldy shower curtain. Terrible view. Parking garage was dangerously too small.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Location is great, steps away from many major attractions. Rooms are clean with great views. Complimentary shuttle is a Time saver and very convenient. Breakfast buffet with a wide selection. Roof top terrace overlooking the space Needle. Staff all very friendly and accommodating.
I stay here regularly — the rooms are spacious and well equipped. They have a laundry which is really useful when you’re traveling and want to wash a load without paying dry cleaning charges, and a decent bar with food. It’s not fancy, but very well thought through and practical.
Great place, very clean and comfortable extended stay room with kitchenette. The rooftop deck is awesome with spectacular views (across the street from the space Needle and emp museum). Would definitely stay again!
Very close to many things.

Stayed here with my parents while visiting Seattle for a few days. Now I'll assume the best and say there was a "miscommunication" we had asked for a room with two rooms that could sleep up to 4 people. And we technically got that. We got two beds and a half wall partition with a pull out couch. Now if you are saying here and you need sleep on the pull out couch I highly recommend leaving the couch as is and just sleeping on the couch itself. I'm a heavy deep sleeper who has fallen asleep in the weirdest places but I couldn't stay asleep for more than an hour without being jolted awake by the pull out creaky frame. The room itself was clean and accommodating with the walls being very good at keep neighbour noises down, however the ceiling was a different story and was very good at letting us know when the upstairs neighbour was awake. I will say the staff was friendly and helpful at the desk but not anywhere else. We had a broken light in our bathroom for three days despite repeated attempts to get it replaced. The worst however was the young man managing the bar. I have no idea what the hotel's policy is but he was committed to providing the worst service possible. He ignored our attempts to order, helped other customers around us without even looking at us and seemed more commitied to flirting with the girls at the bar than allowing us to order a drink. I would say a name but we stayed here August 27-30 and he was the only one working.
The Hyatt House was wonderful to work with. They sent us a shuttle to pick us up from the mall area, and ordered us a car to get to the train station. The only negative we experienced is they wouldn't provide us a roll away bed option for our 4th party who slept on the floor. This is an opportunity for improvement even if it doesn't come up that often. The staff was nice and the room was clean.
Great hotel with awesome location near businesses and events. I've stayed here both for personal and business trips. The hotel staff are very kind and attentive. There's a ton of food downstairs to buy as snacks or to microwave. Breakfast is actually pretty good. Really happy they have a washer and dryer. Bathrooms and bedroom are nice. Blanket is a little bit thin but ah well. Everything is clean and new feeling.
In a nice location with quick access to several bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is fairly nice. I had an interior room with windows that were maybe 10 feet from another room. My blinds remained closed the entire time. Has a decent breakfast included.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Clean, well maintained large rooms. Great location close to the monorail, Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture and a really nice playground. Breakfast was one of the best complimentary ones I've ever had. Beds were too firm for my taste, but I'm a bit of a princess in that regard. The kids slept well on the pullout sofa bed. Would definitely recommend this hotel for families visiting the city.

The room was beautiful and gorgeous had a good sight given, for a second floor. Breakfast was delicious and I do not like sausage but the sausage was amazing. Only problem was that it was hard to scan your card in the hotel as well that the elevator took forever and that finding the stairs down the building was difficult. But if you think that's nothing, then this hotel is perfect for you.
Hyatt House is wonderful. Service was wonderful. The location was very convenient. We can walk to most sites. They have an excellent view of Seattle Center. Will definitely book this again in the future!
Very nice hotel for a more reasonable price. The location is excellent being just across the street from the space needle. The staff is super helpful. I asked to buy a poncho before I went walking to an interview in the rain, and the lady at the counter let me borrow an umbrella at no charge. The breakfast was very nice as well. I highly recommend this hotel.
Visited a friend of mine who was staying there. Was thoroughly impressed by the rooms. It's the perfect place for an extended stay! The rooms are lovely and it has a lovely kitchenette which makes your stay so convenient. The location is amazing! It's close to downtown and space needle. You can basically walk to most places.
I have to say that I didn't stay here. My 14 year old daughter happened to be running the Hot Chocolate 15k marathon earlier this month. Before her race, she really needed to use the restroom. It was a very cold March morning and very early in the morning. As we walked to the McDonalds we could see further down the street, we happened to walk by the Hyatt House. I know we could have pretended to be staying there and just walked in to use the bathroom, but as we walked by one of the men at the front desk, looked up with a smile and a wave. My husband took a chance and walked in with our daughter and asked if our daughter could use the restroom. The man, Scott Hoard, was so kind to us. We talked about the beautiful artwork that was hanging through out the lobby, and he was proud that the franchise owner fought to have only local artists. Thank you for employing and training such kind employees. Its things like this that make me want to stay at certain hotels.
Wonderful friendly staff! Good restaurant! Right under the space needle! Free shuttle… great breakfast need I say more? I would highly recommend this hotel… check out the hotel rooftop for an excellent view of the space needle, natural gas fireplaces and a food prep/grill area.
Situated next door to the Space Needle, this hotel is perfect for me. I can get downtown with a 10 minute walk. There are interesting shops and restaurants on the other side, (and inside) of Seattle Center. Best of all, rooms come equipped with a full kitchen. I need to watch my fat and salt intake; eating in restaurants makes this very difficult. With a full kitchen, I can do some groceries and plan my menu. Also, Seattle is a foodie town. Yes, I go to the amazing restaurants. However, I can also enjoy the local products available at Pike Market, in the different farmer's markets and in other places all around town thanks to my fridge, range and rooftop gas grills. Last but not least, the personnel have always been friendly and helpful.
You couldn't ask for a better location right next to the space needle and only a mile from downtown with a good selection of breakfast and a nice menu: there are however a few things that let this place down 1 you arrive and they say we have a 24hr shuttle service to use whenever takes us a mile radius and will drop off and pick up well it didn't and half the time it was out of service and they didn't care. WHY offer a service if you don't want to run it. 2 don't think about asking them a question becos unless you're on the other end of there telephone they won't talk to you. One of the men in there is so rude he should not be working in hospitality? RUDE!
no I would not recommend to anyone.
This Hyatt in particular is friendly, offers a free shuttle within a mile (and when it wasn't in service they offered to pay our cab — seriously? ). The staff are informed of the area and happy to share. We had a one bedroom and it was perfect for a family of four (could have easily had another on the pull out couch).
They have two happy hours with half price small bites (which were not small but were good). This was perfect as we flew in the evening and were peckish.
The location totally rocked!
A++ Outstanding Hotel!
Modern, very clean and centrally located walking distance from major attractions including Space Needle and Chihuly Glass Center.
Rooms are excellent and nicely compartmentalized with full kitchen, living room with flat screen and best shower I've ever had!
They also have a very decent breakfast buffet including omelettes and great Seattle coffee!
… Hospitality here is unmatched anywhere!
Front desk, namely "Spring" bent over backward to accommodate my wife and I. Including upgrading our original room to a higher level (floor level) room with amazing view, and at no extra charge! She also assisted us with transportation and planning day trips!
Check this hotel out, you will be very happy here!
Excellent place to stay. I had a corner room on the 3rd floor, so I had an excellent view on both sides and a lot of light in the room. The breakfast was good. Great atmosphere and facilities. Wifi should be faster.
Great hotel! Was a little pricey for us, but the location and staff made it worth it. They have a 24hr shuttle that will take you and pick you up anywhere whithin a mile of the hotel. Even after we checked out they where willingwilling to hold our bags for a come of hours and shuttle us around.
Great hotel and location! Rooms were clean and staff were all nice and will do anything for you. They have a courtesy van to take you places. Plenty of room to sit for breakfast with good selection. I wasn't a fan of the room card controlling the lights but overall a great stay!
This place is great! I highly recommend it to you. Great location, great breakfast! Definitely stop there and just enjoy your stay :)
A great Hyatt House near the Space Needle. The rooms are great as are the amenities, including breakfast. The only downside here is the elevator which takes a very long time to arrive as there are only two elevators serving this fairly large hotel.
Great location, room cleanliness, and breakfast. They have a shuttle to take you to different point of interests and you can also call to pick you up back to the hotel. Breakfast is good but it gets crowded. I had a not too good experience when I requested a 2 pm check-out which is part of the benefits of a platinum member and on the last I got a call asking why I was still in the room, I definitely don't appreciate that. I would recommend but not sure if I'd come back.
This hotel is fairly new. And it's amazing! The location is perfect for tourists with a location directly across from the Space Needle. The room was very large comparative to most downtown Seattle hotels. And it was spotless! The only reason I can't give it five stars is because we drove our full size SUV there. Seattle isn't built for full size SUV's and neither are its hotels. The parking garage here is ridiculously small. I'm convinced the spaces don't even meet the building and parking codes. Also there are a very small number of spaces available. It was a huge inconvenience. However, when we couldn't find a spot to park in the garage, we were able to park on the street and the staff credited our bill for the parking that night. Another crowded area was the breakfast cafe. They have a full breakfast buffet with made to order eggs and omelettes. But don't plan on getting one. The wait is terrible. One day we waited for 90 minutes. And then they closed the breakfast without getting all the omelette orders made. The rooftop patio and garden area is amazing, and the views are stunning. But don't be surprised to catch a whiff of ganga up there. We went up to the roof every night of our stay and despite the no smoking signs clearly posted everywhere, apparently hotel patrons interpret them to mean no cigarette smoking. Because the rooftop was a-blaze every night we went up there. So not very kid friendly up there.
A study in cheap, cost cutting construction. Pros: location, rooms, breakfast Cons: lots of noise between rooms (lack of insulation), only 2 elevators, check in staff was an embarrassment (untidy and unkept).
Hyatt House is in an amazing location. We had a room facing the space needle which was beautiful. The room was perfect. It was like a mini apartment. The 24 hour shuttle was the icing in the cake. Woth the shuttle you can basically go everywhere. Wish we were staying longer. We will definitely be staying g there once we come back to Seattle.
This hotel is fabulous! It's located right near many attractions, and is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are fantastic.
I'm loving my stay here! It's a suite, with a full fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and dinnerware. There's a ton of convenient storage, 2 TVs with included premium HD channels, and a pull out sofa bed, if the two Queens weren't enough. The ' borrows' feature is really nice, and the free shuttle to and from anything within a mile (including Pike Place Market) has been handy. Did I mention that we are directly across from the Space Needle? Great view, and it's also by the Chihuly Garden, the Pacific Science Center, the EMP, Seattle Center, Children's Museum, Gates Foundation… My only complaints are that the walls are super thin, so even through the bedroom door and the room door, rowdy people, even down the hallway (you always get a couple)
Hyatt House is the new property by the same management team that runs the Hyatt place nearby. Being a business traveler, I have stayed at both properties and can recommend the Hyatt Place wholeheartedly. The people are so much nicer. I started staying at the Hyatt House mostly because the manager came over from the Hyatt Place and I appreciated how well he treated the guests. Sadly the rest of the staff at Hyatt House does not measure up to the Hyatt Place. Other thoughts: the Hyatt House is new but it has a lot of quirks. First the kitchen garbage can only fits upside down under the sink. If you want to use it you leave the cabinet open or can out. Water pressure is ultra low. Also seems there is no hot water recirculator, so getting hot water in the faucets takes about 8-9 minutes. Lower floors of the hotel look at the bottom of the space needle (not much view) or open inside to other rooms. Lowers floors may also get noisy as they overlook a walking path. My TV had parental controls enabled, the staff had no idea about the code and their only solution was to move rooms, as people who can call the service provider are very few and can take them a while to get to it (Read: more than 2 day) Update: Reducing to 1 star, echoing the comment made by others, housekeeping does not understand when the "replace linens" card is placed on the bed, what it means.
Nice Hotel, Great Location, Complimentary Hot full breakfast, free 24hr shuttle and Ashley, Ashley, Ashley… Greatest Hospitality Customer Service knowledgeable person on property. She's truly an asset to have at HH.
This is a beautiful hotel. Contemporary, spacious rooms that feel more like a loft apartment. Unbelievable breakfast included, with a great omlette bar. Solid fitness center. Staff are helpful and courteous. Parking garage is convenient and reasonably priced. I'll be bringing my family back some day.
We were extremely pleased with the room. It felt quite spacious and was well decorated and designed. The free breakfast was consistently good. The rooftop patio is a nice touch and offers a low key opportunity to mingle.
Great location. Close to lots of food and attractions. Very friendly/helpful staff. Best continental breakfast I've ever had. Very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Plug ins everywhere! Stay here. It's worth it.
Staff very accommodating and room was nice. I would call it a 3 star hotel. Bar only open 5 — 10 and breakfast a madhouse and under-served. HD tv.
PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL! Cons: -Paper thin walls and floors. I travel year round for work, and honestly this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Pretty confident no sound proofing was used to build this hotel, and it shows. I'm woken up numerous times all through the night to walking upstairs. Called front desk, nothing really done, but honestly, what could they anyways? If you wake up easily, run as fast as you can from this place. -There are two elevators for this entire hotel. TWO ELEVATORS! Even the staff think's it's ridiculous. Just take the steps, or be prepared to wait forever for an elevator. -You're either going to get a great view, OR you'll get a view like my current one, which is directly outside of the tram that goes through the city (no lie, I could literally touch the car as it goes by my window. ) I feel like i'm in a zoo as travelers go by and look directly into my room. Pros: -Friendly front desk staff — New, clean rooms. -Nice gym for a chain hotel I'm thankful that I'm not personally paying for this hotel stay, or I would be infuriated by my time at this hotel. It's just so bad…
Horrible customer service and no housekeeping. Our family stayed for 6 days and 5 night and out of the 6 days our room got cleaned once by housekeeping upon our request and when they did clean it they did not vacuum, change out dirty towels or replenish the bathroom amenities. When we complained to the front desk they sent up the housekeeping supervisor when basically yelled at her employee in front of us and apologized for no one coming to our room. But again the next day to no surprise no housekeeping service. Clearly this hotel does not log complaints because when we called the day of check out to request late check out they said no because housekeeping needed time to clean the room I bet they do since they didn't clean it for 5 days THIS HOTEL IS A JOKE!
Very nice Hyatt House in seattle. I have stayed at a few of these at different locations and they all share something in common, great service! The rooms are fairly modern and comfortable and the price is good for this area of Seattle.
We were 6 family members traveling and needed one hotel room to stay for 4 nights. This hotel was an unexpected find and turned out to be one of the best experiences ever. The hotel is right across from Space Needle, our room had a beautiful and direct view of it. If you plan on buying CityPASS then the majority of the places are walking distance from the hotel. The hotel also provides a 24-hour free shuttle ride to Pike Street Market. We made full use of the shuttle and were delighted. The hotel provided free breakfast and had a good selection of items. It is a brand new hotel that opened its doors for business a week before we arrived. We found very helpful staff eager to assist. On one occasion, we had to switch rooms due to technical reason and during the move we forgot our baby shampoo in the old room. A day later we requested the staff to check the room for the baby shampoo bottle. Unfortunately anything left over is thrown out after a day. The staff took it upon themselves to find another shampoo bottle from the nearest store and delivered it to my hotel room. The room we stayed was spacious with 2 queen size beds and 1 pull out sofa bed with a full blown kitchen (full sized refrigerator, cook top, microwave, utensils, pots and pans, etc…) I will highly recommend all my friends and family to stay at this hotel and experience the quality of their customer service. I am SOLD and will first look for Hyatt Place in the future.
