Reviews of Fairmont Olympic Hotel 5*
We were only in the bar. Nice cocktails!
Lovely hotel. Great bar. Friendly staff.
Great bar and staff. We weren’t staying there, but now thing we will on our next visit,
Clay place with great bartenders. Would highly recommend.
Fabulous experience from checking in to checking out. Faultless service from all staff, great food, superb & stylish room. Great location too.
Upscale, lovely staff. Quality guests.
It was really nice and very affordable. Nice scenery surrounding the hotel.
All of the staff was friendly and professional. The rooms and amenities were top notch and the rooms spacious and beautiful.
Had a great time at a family wedding. They provided a crib with bedding for my 1 year old. Restaurant gave us organic whole milk when we needed it. They did a fabulous job with the wedding reception despite being short staffed. All the food was delicious in each restaurant. Hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Great Service. Food was dope too.
Great location. Nice bar. Solid service.
The ambience that takes you to a different time in history in an iconic building with a chic air!
Great spa experience — 4 stars.
Clean elegantly decorated rooms.
Fantastic hotel with fabulous rooms and great people who work here.
Beautiful building, wonderful people, they take good care of you.
I fill in love with such stunning, beautiful place. The food is amazing. I highly recommend.
Had drinks near the lobby… spectacular waiter helped us get a table and very friendly.
Recommend this awesome hotel always!
❤️ the hospitality and the friendly staff are incredible! Convenient to shopping, the waterfront, and many restaurants! The room is cozy, comfortable and nicely designed. We would recommend it to anyone! Ps the teddy bear suite is to cute!
Very friendly staff in a great place to do it overnight and downtown Seattle perfect location.
They are always helpful and kind. Professional stuff but yet very relatable. I been to other boutique hotels where the stuff has been arrogant, not here. Front desk, bell men, room service, concierge and house keeping, ALWAYS nice! Very please.
A beautiful old hotel with very modern facilities. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Awesome facilities as well.
Amazing stuff and delicious foods! Best event venue!
Tea at the Fairmont is a unforgettable experience. Service is the perfect. The best tea, amazing champagne, Dom. Remarkable tea sandwiches, petifores and desserts. Don't forget your hat.
We had the opportunity to stay here after an Alaskan Cruise. This hotel is wonderful, I loved the ambiance and the way a guest was treated. Thank you for a great stay Karen.
Great experience with friendly staff!
I did not want to drink alcohol on a hot afternoon so I ordered a small bottle of mineral water. Wow… it was more expensive than 2 gallons of gas!
Erika at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Appreciated all her help.
The staff at the Georgian at lunch was the best, and food just as wonderful.
I loved my stay at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. I fell in love with the high end Rose 31 brand of toiletries they provided. I now use them at home and they remind me of my wonderful time I had while at this elegant hotel. I look forward to staying there again soon.
My wife and I loved the luxurious feel of this beautiful hotel. From the valet attendant, Charlie, to the manager, Emer, we were treated with nothing but kindness. An issue with my voucher was handled quickly and graciously. We will return for another stay, soon I hope. A true diamond of a hotel. Easy 5 stars!
There isn't any comparing this wonderful, historic place to most hotels a middle class American would typically stay at. This is a place where wealthy, upper class people would feel comfortable. Everything, from the way the beds are made to the amenities to the architecture is better. The food was top notch and all the employees were among the most professional I've ever encountered.
One of the historical hotels of Seattle, it maintains it's classic appearance. The accommodations are fantastic, the rooms are quite spacious, and the beds are as soft as clouds. I have never slept so well outside of my own home. The staff is exactly what you expect from such an establishment. Very courteous and attentive. I had a marvelous time and I look forward to my next visit.
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable enough that it resulted in the best sleep I've had in a hotel. The bathroom was surprisingly large and very well-lit. Service was impeccable — when we arrived, we had a short conversation about donuts with the doorman on our way inside the hotel, and when we returned in the evening we found a note slipped under our door with his recommendation for a good donut shop after he tracked us down! Breakfast at the Georgian was excellent. Will be staying again eventually :)
Clean, updated, safe, and a location close (walking distance) to major attractions. This hotel definitely falls in the upscale category, and customer service is top-notch. More expensive than most as you might expect, but for a special occasion it's a great place to stay. Also, my bed was very comfortable. You'll get a good night's sleep here.
Great place to stay while in the city. The lobby is fully restored and has a sense of old world luxury. It's inspiring when you walk into the lobby for check in. The rooms are fully remodeled and comfortable. They had a feather free floor that I appreciated, hate having to ask for foam pillows every where I go. The staff was very attentive and overall you will feel like you are in a wonderful place to relax and recharge.
Wonderful hotel. Great and attentive staff. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and breakfast buffet is just amazing.
Great atmosphere and service with superb food and drinks ~ The Terrace is an urban sanctuary.
Stunning! I travel all over the country for work and this is by fair my favorite hotel. Very high end and they make you feel super important. The rooms are beautiful and it's not far from the Pike Place. I typically stay at Hyatt's for the point, but when I' in Seattle, I make an exception. I always recommend this place when people travel to seattle. There are also tons of shops, restaurants, and other fun things in walking distance.
I visit the Fairmont often for Penelope Beauty Bar. The hotel itself is clean and very well out together, my one caveat is the way to the spa can be a bit tricky to find. Penelope has phenomenal customer service and will answer the phone within minutes and emails within an hour. They listen to what you need and will book a provider based on your past experiences, desires, and the skillset and personality of the provider. Last I went, I had Elizabeth. She was efficient and honest which I appreciated. It took all of twenty minutes to get in and out of the salon. They take card for tips!
Luxurious hotel. Multiple high end restaurants. Swimming pool. Very clean room, ample space, very comfortable beds. Excellent service. If you want to pamper yourself while visiting or in business in Seattle, this is the place to stay.
This hotel was just fantastic! It has an older charm but has all the amenities. My room had a separate bedroom from the "living room". The room was very clean and comfortable. It's location was very convenient to everything you needed. It's within walking distance to Pike Place Market. Walking distance to the subway to the airport too. Great place.
I loved our stay here. The room was spacious and beautiful. So close to pike place market. You park your car in the garage next door and go. It was perfect. Pool was great. Hot tub was great.
Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms have good interiors and views. Mine had a small living room and a bedroom each having their own smart TVs. The bathrooms are big with nice amenities. The location of the hotel is great with Valet parking available for $55 And yes, the room service is top notch. I did not feel the need to request anything anytime as they took care of everything. The room temperatures were auto adjusted each day. Hospitality at it's best.
Minus one star because food took a long time to come out, but everything was delicious and staff was kind. Ontario Ice wine tea and the scones were the best! Was here for a bridal shower. We had a great time.
For the great rate in downtown Seattle this was a good hotel. Gym was above average and all staff that we encountered were friendly. Would recommend. Fairmont always does a good job if they know you are celebrating a special occasion.
The hotel and room is nice but overpriced in my opinion compared to other 4 & 5 star hotels. They rooms have no tissue (Kleenex), the iron leaked water when trying to use it, the hotel does not even give their guest complimentary water in their rooms, my wife and I had to continue to ask for more soap and wash clothes. I even asked the front desk on how husband and wife are only given two wash clothes. If you wash your face or shower at night, you want have a clean wash cloth the next morning. I would have expected to have gotten at least free continental breakfast for the price of their rooms however nothing is free or complimentary at the Olympic Hotel. A breakfast omelette and juice for my wife and I was around $70. The curtain fell down on the first night of our stay and we had to sleep with light coming through the room from the building across the street. The concierge service was always very knowledgeable and friendly however the management did not do much for customer satisfaction or service. I would not stay here at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel when visiting Seattle again.
Nice hotel. Fancy. Very upscale. The valet was a little spotty, even when he saw me waiting. The first day I pulled up, I ended up parking in a garage around the corner. Everything else about the place was nice. Hospitality was great. The ballroom was nice and large with nice accents. The location is great too. If you just want to do some things downtown, see the water, or even get some nice food nearby, it's all walkable.
Great rooms, very quiet and roomy with king size bed. The showers could have a bit more power but are more than good enough. Attentive staff. Also a good gym and pool with sauna. Bar prices are reasonable too. Didn't try any of the restaurants so I can't comment on that but there's enough offer in the Pike Place Market area just a couple of blocks away. Very good location. Only a bit far from the Space Needle area but that's just a 30min walk or a couple of stops on the light tram which also stops one block away from the hotel.
For the past six years it has been a birthday tradition for me to go to the Fairmont Hotel for afternoon tea. The food is often things I've never tried before but never fails to be delicious. I try a different flavor of tea every time I go and I'm never disappointed. The service is amazing. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, friendly and knowledgeable.
During the first 2 days of my stay, I thought nothing of this hotel, however as the days went by I noticed something different. I've stayed in many hotels in the last few years alone, but the service of this hotel was special. Their service was proactive, rather than reactive. Some examples: — They air conditioning was set to the perfect setting. In the 7 nights I stayed here I did not have to touch these settings (a first for me in years) — The bed and pillows were just right. I had no issue sleeping at night and I felt exceptionally comfortable. — The cleaning staff would go the extra mile when cleaning my room. They would wrap up charger cables, steam clean the shower doors. Turn down the room in the evening. Ensure that the toilet would flush properly, if not then have someone come and check. Not once did I have to request room service, or house keeping. Absolutely awesome service. The best trouble free stay I've had at any hotel.
Room is recently refreshed and very clean and spacious. We appreciated the location and convenience of the hotel to the rest of Seattle proper. The club is well outfitted with a pool and gym. Wished that the parking garage was slightly better connected to the hotel, but it is only a minor complaint given the limitations of a hotel in the city. The overall decor of the hotel is on the older side with more antique style furnishings and trim. Do stop by the Georgian if you have time for afternoon tea.
When in Seattle, year after year I stay here. They have just done a remodel of some of the rooms but kept it true to the history this beautiful hotel brings. I often find myself walking around just looking and wondering how grand it is now and how grand it was a long time ago in Seattle history. The people who work there are professional and very nice! No snobbery in this hotel! The prices are fair and the rooms clean and first class. The hotel is close to everything. 4 blocks south of the hotel is the amazing waterfront with it's Aquariums, new Ferris wheel and Pikes Place Market. Park your car with valet and forget about driving. I am a travel agent so I could stay just about anywhere, but I choose the Fairmont Olympic hotel! When you check out in the morning, make sure you say hello to Bill, the doorman/valet. He's been around for a long time and always remembers your name.
Beautiful lobby. Rooms rather cramped with furniture, the mini-bar was in the wrong place near the door. Nicely appointed rooms, bathrooms large. Close to the waterfront, good walk down and slower going back up. The restaurant was excellent but cramped. Wonderful florist in the building, they make beautiful arrangements. Would have given them a higher rating, but, there was some miscommunication about the amenities we were due. Pricey.
Great hotel! Holiday decorations throughout the hotel were beautiful. Reception was easy and very accommodating. Room was beautiful. Took me a while to figure out how to turn the lights on but the reading lamps and USB ports on the bedside tables were a nice find. We spent the evening downtown for my birthday and came back to the room to find a surprise from reception. I'd definitely stay here again.
We went to the hotel for their holiday "Teddy Bear Suite, " where they fill a large hotel suite with Teddy bears and Christmas decorations. It made for a really nice photo op with our toddler. The hotel itself looked really nice, with an elegant lobby.
Nice hotel. I came here for the Christmas tea it was delicious. The scones were scrumptious. The staff was nice and it is kid friendly. It is truly a piece of are history. ☕☕ but the only sad thing is its experience but worth to do it once in you life.
I arrived at the hotel super late last night after a very long flight from Boston with a coworker. Upon check-in I was informed that they did not have a room for me, they overbooked the night. They wanted to send me to another hotel for the night and have me back at the Fairmont for the rest of my stay as planned. The reason we booked the Fairmont is due to early morning meetings in the office which is just across the street, so moving to another hotel at mid-night (3am my time) was unacceptable. I ended up staying on a rollaway bed in my coworkers room. The folks at reception said they would comp our room… which seems funny since I don’t technically have a room for them to comp. Also, comping our room helps our company not us. After pointing that out, they said they would give us credit for drinks. I don’t understand how it would ever be acceptable to overbook a hotel?! Travelers shouldn’t have to worry if they have a room for the night after a long day of travel, especially when staying at the Fairmont when you pay a premium, when they book the room months in advanced. Next time I come to Seattle I will not be planning to stay at the Fairmont.
I've been attending events here at the Fairmont Olympic for many years and it is always been amazing the staff has been helpful and will go above and beyond for any requests that you have. They also make delicious honey from their own bees on their roof. Though I have never stayed at the hotel I have heard nothing but good things from all my friends and Associates that sleep there.
Had breakfast here while on a trip for work. What a fantastic place. Based on how the lobby and dining room were setup, and the level of service I could only imagine what staying there overnight would be like. A new goal! Fantastic food and great service. Highly recommend stopping by here!
Very good location.
I loved my weekend stay at the Fairmont. Room was very clean and big. Service was very fast and attentive. The Fairmont offers shuttle to any destination within 1 mile, service is first come first serve to all hotel guests. Very convenient especially if you're an out of town guest.
An excellent hotel with all the luxury that you want. Very good location.
Absolutely stunning aesthetics. The rooms were beautiful. The lobby was beautiful. A few critiques: There is no parking onsite, and if you want to park, "their" garage a block away costs $40/day, so plan on that. I also had room service. It was an omelette and an English muffin. Extremely expensive. I'm also not picky about food in general, but it tasted really bad. Lastly, their events spill into the lobby, so be prepared for loud music coming in. 4 stars. If you want a beautiful room and price is no object, this hotel is the place for you. Just don't do room service.
The history of the… Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle. Friendship and good taste always lasts in time thanks Marcel.
Beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. The staff are all super nice. We ate in the restaurant and it was delicious. Room service was also very good. The hot tub is nice and you can even order drinks to it. The location is perfect, walkable to everything downtown.
It's a historic not glamorous hotel which I like. Don't expect to enter your room and find all the latest hotel gadgets. This hotel does cleverly hide some updated amenities while not detracting from the history. The hotel interior was detailed and well maintained. You can see the extra work put into keeping an old building look new. Lastly the bar was a nice way to end the night. Comfortable seating with an excellent and attentive waitress (Hannah) made our last minute anniversary stay very nice. Overall it's a solid place that you won't get caught up in a lot of fluff you don't need.
The Fairmont is an awesome hotel! I'm always impressed with their level of service and the minor details in the small amenities they provide. The honors gym and pool are incredible and the staff has never disappointed me.
Yes. It's damn special. One for a romantic getaway, the service obviously is top notch. I'm blessed in that I work closely with the Fairmont and get a lower rate, and have stayed at many of them on business travel. This property is one of my favorites and it is well located if you want to go to pike place or walk up to the hill.
I first came here to meet with a friend for a night cap at the hotel bar and I was very pleasantly surprised. Not only is the bartender Michael incredibly talented, he is also extremely engaging. Within an hour of sitting down he had invented two delicious and original concoctions for which we spent the remainder of the night trying to name. The ambiance is old world charm with wood, carpet, and brass fixtures. Crooner versions of the Great American Songbook waft through the air while the time passes. It was such a wonderful experience I have made this bar a regular stop on my Seattle itinerary when I am in town for work.
Attended a wedding. Excellent service by the wait staff. My glasses were refilled before I finished drinking them. Tables were cleared right away. Everyone extremely polite and friendly. Beautiful atmosphere. Definitely deserves its 5 star rating. Parking is difficult if not staying in a room there, but that's typical for downtown Seattle. Restrooms were sparkling clean, and even offered actual tiny hand towels. Lovely.
Good bar at the hotel, great interior.
We had a corner room which was great. All service was fantastic. The staff were terrific. We had three windows in our room. All very comfortable. Dinning in room was very special, for no occasion and it was very tasty.
Grand old hotel that can use updating. Interior decor and amenities are obviously dated. Lobby bar is laid back and relatively quiet, but options are limited. Centrally located and close to the convention center.
Very expensive hotel with a cool atmosphere.
I loved staying at the hotel! They were Top Notch from the room service to the turndown service to the guest relations and concierge desk. I would give it 10 out of 10 and I would say that it's great for a romantic weekend away in the city.
Stayed here while visiting town and found it to be a fine hotel. Nothing mind-blowing but clean, classy, and in a central location. Cafe downstairs smells amazing although I haven't had a chance to order there yet. Only thing less than ideal was that the cable TV doesn't really work but I'm not here to watch TV so it's a minor annoyance when sitting in bed. Overall, solid hotel in downtown area and a quick walk to all of the typical downtown activities.
Great rate. Great service from doorman, front desk, concierge. Great room. Great location. Just great! Will stay the next time I'm in town.
Very clean and the room was very comfortable. All of the employees were cordial. I mean, I went for a run in the rain and the door man had a towel and a bottle of water for me when I finished. Great downtown location close to shopping, food, and the market. On the expensive side, but I felt like the hospitality was worth it.
The hotel had a very helpful and friendly staff. I liked the rooms as they had an old feel with modern amenities. The breakfast options were overpriced though.
Went there for a 5 year anniversary, and they upgraded us to a corner suite for free, treated us like royalty, and got free chocolate covered strawberries in our room and a card stating "Congratulations. " Great hotel and such beautiful architecture. Great staff. I'm coming back!
I'm sad to be giving only 3 stars, but my experience was not what you'd expect from Fairmont. Their customer service was fantastic, per usual. However, during our stay they were undergoing extensive renovations and had closed the main entrance. As a result, I got lost a few times trying to exit/get to my room. Further, the rooms themselves are not that cute and seem dated, which is weird because we stayed in a 'renovated' room. Maybe they were going for a 1920's theme? Other than that, every employee at that hotel was very helpful and nice, which always remedies any bad experience.
Great hotel! Centrally located so it's very easy to get to shopping and restaurants! Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent service! Would definitely recommend this hotel!
If any of you guys are looking for dirt cheap hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. A few days before my arrival I fractured my foot. Every staff member went above and beyond in assisting me. A housekeeper after bringing me a bag of ice to which she insisted she do, saw I was ironing a shirt and offered to do it for me.
The location is very central to attractions, and easy to get around by transit or uber. The building seems a little tired, but the staff were very pleasant and there was a lot of amenities available. The view left a lot to be desired as it looked onto the roof. Room service was prompt and delicious — beer battered halibut, chicken noodle soup, and dessert — and was reasonably priced.

Beautiful, classy hotel in a great downtown location. About 6 blocks to Pike Place. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Complimentary shuttle service around downtown, too. Service was on point, everyone from valet to bus to front desk was courteous, warm, and professional. Indoor pool was a plus! Highly recommended.
While the bed is very comfortable, the room itself is long overdue for a remodel. The furniture and carpets are rather worn and faded and are reminiscent of the 1950's … But not in a good way. I was given an "executive suite" on the third floor and the traffic noise kept me from sleeping in. The beeping from the city bus raising up and down was ridiculous. I am glad I only book this hotel for one night a sit is not even close to worth the nearly $400 I spent to stay here.
Good location, helpful staff and very good food.
Clean, friendly staff, historic traditional American decor, excellent room service, nice spa & pool. Shuckers has exceptional food.
Service was fantastic, entrance was grand, room was large and comfortable, in-room dining prompt and delicious … But the rooms need major updating to match the price per room. It smells old when entering the room, the bathroom appears to be stuck in the 80's by the tile, tub and decor. The tub wasn't even flat and warped on one side. Another hint of needing major remodel were single pane windows and phones from the late 80's. The last part of the experience was trying to blast the air to remove the lack of hygiene by the valet person that lingered in our vehicle after picking it up.
Fantastic looking rooms, large, airy, very historic. Classic styled rooms. Valet Parking is not cheap and off street parking will be tough.
This hotel discriminates against Muslims. My niece was working for a company called ABM. ABM dispatched her to the hotel as part of a contract to inspect their security system. At around 7am on Wednesday, May 20th my niece who is age 21 called me crying and saying that she was told to leave because company policies do not allow her to wear the hijab or head scarf. When she asked why they told her it was out of concern for the guests who may be afraid of Muslims. Olympic hotel in Seattle has a long history of discrimination going back to the 1970's.
Great service. Really good location. Comfy and cozy modest sized beds. Huge bathroom in our corner suite.
Easy check in, very courteous staff. Rooms were clean and very presentable. Typical city noise but that's pretty much expected when you choose to stay downtown. We ate at Shuckers in the hotel and food was excellent.
Goood lacation, everywhere accessible everywhere.
My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont Seattle on the 2nd floor, we were having a hard time sleeping. I was up most of the night, "Big Thanks to that woman at the front desk! ". The windows are not sound-proof. On top of everything from the busy street, there is a clinking noise (from a pipe? ) repeatedly happened every hour, it last about 10 mins each time, and it's a few seconds apart from each other. The minute you step out the hallway, there's a strong smell of chlorine. The sofa, cushions and curtains gave you a feeling of a 90 yrs old grandma's home. The rooms at Westin Seattle is far more modern and comfortable.
First, let me say the Georgian Room was a beautiful dining experience — the the food and staff were excellent. The overall appearance of the hotel is impressive, but oh dear, the room I was allocated was awful. Small and dingy with worn and grubby furniture. I hate complaining and I didn't at the time but after going on to two other hotel on my trip where the rooms were so superior, for the same rate, I felt I should say something. Sorry Fairmont, I shan't be staying at your hotels in future.
I had a short stay here while visiting Seattle. I wish I had more time to experience the area. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. I spent part an evening walking around the downtown area and there is enough going on to last you a week. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. There are taxis at the ready, even at 4 AM to get you to the airport for a 6 AM flight. There is a little restaurant off of the lobby called The Georgian Room where I had a nice quiet breakfast, and a little bar/lounge as well where I had a couple of local beers and free peanuts. I made use of their fitness center, which is not huge but has everything you need and is right off of the pool area. I also needed to print something out and fortunately they have a little 24-hour self-service business center with printers. It was a little expensive just to print one piece of paper but it was there when I needed it so I can't complain too much. I don't travel a whole lot, and when I do it's usually in more budget-oriented lodging, but overall this is by far the best hotel experience I've had. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity.
