The hotel Clarion, in Renton, WA, is one of the most disorganized places we have ever had the horror of staying at. For starters, the staff had painters painting the hallways at night. They waited until nighttime for people to arrive back at or to check in to their rooms and become asphyxiated by the toxic paint thinner. Several… and I witnessed this… new arrivals abruptly left right after going to their rooms. There were no thoughts about ventilation. Plus, when the fire alarm went off shortly thereafter, the staff seemed as clueless as we were about evacuations, etc. Etc. Also, the so called bistro was nothing but the room that was used every morning for a scant breakfast. They had a very small walk up bar with very limited but expensive liquor and beer. Also, this bistro had run out of food most nights and there was no room service. Another fact is that this Clarion is located in an industrial area. If you wanted to walk to any stores or eateries, you would have had to walk at least 2 miles along a highway. Now, if you were wanting to buy a Nissan car or a Harley or wanted to play poker at a casino that only consisted of poker tables and had staff who didn’t have the foggiest idea of how make a martini, then you’d be in the right place. Speaking about breakfast, early birds really get the food. That’s because the food items are not restocked even though breakfast ends at 9 am.

The VA pays for we veterans from our=ut of the area. While it is not a fancy hotel it is comfortable. Bring your own soda pop because it is $3 per bottle in the machine!

They not frendly and when I need bottom room because of my son they arrgure with me and then 5 time last night people playing with our door and TV wouldnt work and I call down and they going send someone up and I got it working because it took they 6 hours to come up dont stay here.

Good breakfast and Courtney at the front desk is great. Wealth of knowledge regarding the area.

This is my 2nd time staying here and everyone has been so nice and helpful and breakfast is more than I ever expected. Will come back whenever we are in town.

Price was reasonable. Shower was set up in a way that the bathroom got soaked every time we used it. Carpet seems due to be replaced, but again, the price made the place worth it. Comfortable enough staying here again.

Clean fairly and fairly well kept. Our room was a 2 room suite which was nice but whoever had the room above us was extremely loud. Floors apparently are not soundproof. Staff was good and efficient. There is only one entrance in the front of the building. If you have a rear room and want to park near your window, you have a long walk to the car.

The unattended front desk created a poor initial impression. About 8 PM, I entered with a prepaid reservation and found a completely empty lobby with an unattended front desk, and an exceptionally loud blaring television spewing out some tabloid-like "content. " There was a bell on the counter. I rang it three times at about 1 minute intervals. 6 minutes after I arrived, an apparently mute staff member appeared in the doorway of a dark inner office behind the front desk, smiled and held up her forefinger, indicating (your guess is as good as mine, on the axis of religious belief to the location of the moon). 8 minutes after I arrived, a professionally dressed apparent evening manager appeared in the lobby, and asked me how I was doing. I truthfully said I was annoyed, but I said it in an ordinary conversational tone. Then, I checked in as is usual at such places. The room was without fault, and the breakfast was good and not stingy. There was plenty of convenient free parking. I should perhaps mention also that I could find no way to change the volume on the loud blaring television, so I interrupted the flow of electricity to it, in a non-destructive manner. The person who checked me in examined the television and noticed the disconnected cable, but did not discuss it with me.

Compared to other options in the area, this hotel was a good value for the price. The breakfast and coffee they serve was way better than many other 2-star hotels. If you're traveling on a limited budget, this is solid choice.

Elevator broke and management refused to fix it. 4-story hotel. Horrible management. Assistant general manager refused to allow me to speak with the operations manager or the real general manager. Run far from this hotel.

Room was in good condition and clean. The only problem we had was with the poor air conditioning/air circulation. The room stayed fairly humid through the night. The breakfast and service was fairly good. If you're considering a hotel near the Seattle airport for a reasonable price, this is a good choice.

The desk clerk was very friendly and VERY helpful. Clean place, nice server in their restaurant area, comfortable bed. I would definitely stay there again. However, working with the 800 reservation call center was not a good experience. They were not as helpful, the call take was hard to understand. I would not use them again, I would call the hotel directly.

I have had pleasant stays here before. This time, they sprayed my BMW with some kind of acid from the sprinkler system that ate my paint. Thier response was to say it was just water. The manager and I used soap and water to try to get the spots off of my car, but could not. It's only on the back of my car, which was facing the building when I backed in. They say it's not their fault and that I'm just picky because I have a nice car. Google asked me to submit this review prior to my attorney being involved. Who knows what will happen from here. Are you in a rental car? What happens when you return it with acid burns in the paint? What if it's your prized vehicle? Stay elsewhere… Not worth it.

Fantastic park and fly stay. Great shuttle service. We had to have a shuttle at 4 am going to the airport, and the driver arrived on time! The font desk lady was very friendly and helpful.

Incredible attention to detail by housekeeping. Every corner of the room was spotless. The microfiber chair had vacuum marks all over it proving that it was thoroughly cleaned. Hot breakfast included eggs, potatoes, bacon, link sausages, biscuits, and country gravy.

Breakfast is great. Beds not very comfortable. Rooms were not cleaned very good by maid. Neither was bathroom. Towels just thrown in no particular order over bar. Dirty washcloth just left from day before. Floor dirt on sheets still and pulled up onto bed. No smoke detector. Some staff we dealt with were very friendly tho. Not as clean as I would have liked is the bottom line.

It's a very nice hotel, with good, free breakfast. The workers frequently clean the area, too, so your breakfast is very enjoyable. I also love how the sink is seperate from the bathroom, so someone can use the sink while another is taking a shower, or using the toilet. However, the sink and shower clog easily. The sheets are itchy, too.

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, and quiet location. Nice little lounge area with fireplace off the main entrance. If you're looking for a place that isn't on the main road and very peaceful, check out this place!

The VA Dennis here for our stay. It is slightly dated, and tub had big chip or something in the bottom. It was nice and clean tho, and the staff was very nice.

Stayed in the Clarion overnight. The room was clean, and the guy working the the desk was super friendly. The breakfast was yummy, but pretty standard hotel breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

The worst hotel experience EVER! They have bedbugs. I have pictures of the bedbugs to prove it. Never staying at Clarion ever again! Stay away from this place!

Clean room, disabled vet and handicapped, did not have a handicapped that was requested. Elevators not working, can't get wheelchair into bathroom or between bed and dresser. Staff was very helpful and quick to fix problem.

As soon as you walk into the door, you feel the warmth. The people who work here are outstanding. One person I would like to point out. The woman who works in the food lounge in the mornings, she is a delight!

This is the fifth time I stayed in the hotel. One of the rooms had a bad order and I have had problems getting checked in 4 out of five times. The beds are good and a great breakfast. But this stay I had people staying above me making noise. After calling the office many times they still could not resolve the problem.

Do not be fooled by the pictures on the hotel website. The place is rundown and desperately needs upgrades to everything. The bathroom is nasty and the towels were dirty. The sink was blocked. The elevator is old and squeaky. The breakfast however is a great surprise. Lots of options. We enjoyed it very much. Lots of parking and amiable and helpful staff. But we won't be going back.

I stay in hotels about 50 days a year and I can say this hotel has Great service, I loved the Bistro and cocktails in the evening. Room was clean and roomy.

Everyone was very nice. Had room 128 and it smelled musty like an old smoking room. Breakfast was ok. Potatoes were raw and gravy very cold. Other than that it was a good stay.

I didn't stay there but I was almost ran over by a driver of there's at the airport. The guy was going so fast his front end of his van went sideways into the pedestrian crosswalk. He was very rude and started cursing me out for being in the crosswalk when he's suppose to yield to pedestrians. The front desk staff were not helpful whatsoever when I called along with witnesses.

We have stayed here before and were not too pleased. This time it was much better. Much cleaner and much better staff.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The bed was heavenly. The breakfast is good. The location is central to many areas, including Seattle. You can't beat it for the price.

Um, yeah. Sheets smell clean, walls… not so much. The entire room looks like it needed to be painted a decade ago, what looks like food stains on the walls, the shower head was not caulked in and the ring around the pipe was just hanging on the head. The sink is broken, not cracked, BROKEN, clean through. The long mirror on the wall looks like someone was swinging from it like a monkey, because it came off one of the screws they used to hang it on the wall. Afraid to look too closely at anything else. Oh, the ice maker doesn't work. They are seriously understaffed, and shady characters hanging around outside. Good luck with staying here.

It is a decent place for the price. The room is great but the hotel itself is quote old. Elevator is very old and squeaky and there was frequent water spills by the vending machine which was left unattended. Had to switch rooms after the first day because the fridge didn't work well. They are also clearly understaffed. Other than that, staff was nice and welcoming. I would use the hotel again if I wanna save some money.

We have the king size suite. The suite has a huge king sized bed andvwe had the corner unit so it felt like we were in a condo and not a hotel. The kitchenette is very adequate for cooking. Fridge perfect for size of room. The sofa has a pullout full size mattress that is comfy. No dishwasher, but with an abundance of paper plates, who needs it. Also awesome buffet breakfast everyday. Housekeeping services the room daily. Family friendly and professional staff make staying here feel like your right at home.

Decent hotel… Nestled in an industrial area next to Lawless Harley-Davidson.

Rooms were clean and the hotel had easy access to some great eateries. Service was fast and efficient.

Mainly stayed here due to its proximity to AFK. Staff was polite. Room came equipped with a large insect in one bed that liked too snuggle when the light went out.

Stay was fine. Staff was friendly. Lost one star for a room that smelled like an old man's armpit, sorry but it did… had to open the window. Other than that the room was fine. Lost anther star because the one single elevator broke on last day. I had to carry heavy luggage from the 3rd floor down the stairs.

My word I don't know where to start, Naomi was amazing to me! She made sure we got a great room, she always greeted with a smile and I believe the Hispanic male at the front desk was Carlos those were the only two front desk agents they had working while I was there that weekend. They had really nice workout facilities as well as a delicious breakfast! I woke up and came down on Sunday an they had a place of worship in session, I thought that was pretty neat. I would recommend staying here for the clean rooms and great staff! They also had a shuttle if needed hot cookies in the lobby at night with coffee & hot water. I could go on! My friend and I were more than pleased with our stay at the Clarion in Renton! An I not only recommend them I will be staying there again in the future!

Not worth the money. 59.99 is too much for a 1-2 star hotel miles from anything. This place is in a depressed industrial district. Every major destination in the area has numerous hotel/motel options providing better value and convenience. My room smelled of smoke. When I asked for another, I was told a cleaning fee would be imposed. I balked and eventually moved without the fee but paid with 20 minutes of my life. Instead of relaxing before going to sleep, I was somewhat peeved at being strong armed for change.
