It is a busy Motel. It seems they could use more help cleaning rooms and at the front desk check-in. We were early, 2:30, but not the only ones trying to check in. There we very few rooms clean. We were told to come back at 3:30.3:30, even more people trying to check in and no rooms still available. Almost 4:30, we managed to get one of our two rooms. We decided to go for an early dinner and come back. 5:30 the second room was still not clean. With some talking they managed to switch our rooms so we could get a second room. They did offer and give us a discount for the trouble which I do appreciate. But honestly, I hope this is not a standard day for this property. The rooms were clean and comfortable and relatively quiet though they were still moving cleaning carts and laundry carts at 9 PM.

I chose this location as I felt it would give me an edge in departing for my next destination. I had stayed at this location a few years ago and knew that it was just off the freeway. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't require any additional services. I did comment to desk staff that the room seemed to smell of stale smoke when I arrived the first night and when I returned the next day after attending meetings. It appears that smoke had infiltrated from a few doors away where another guest was sitting outside his room smoking. This is possible because the room window had been opened before I arrived and the weather stripping around the room door is damaged/missing and needs to be replaced. I have a smoke allergy. While looking for a motel in this area, I had called several. My husband, who had planned to accompany me, has a lower back problem (compressed disks) and cannot lie flat on a bed, so I was looking for a venue which offered a recliner or easy chair that could be used for him to sleep more upright. I was told the best that Motel 6 could offer would be extra pillows. I asked if I could bring in a chaise lounge lawn chair for him to sleep on and was told "absolutely not! " Since other venues have also gone from comfortable chairs to office-style furniture in rooms, this puts a significant crimp in our travel plans. At the last moment, he decided not to accompany me. I called and changed the room arrangement.

New floors and paint but skimpy on basics. No Kleenex no blanket, just sheet and top sheet, no bathtub for my little girl, just shower, no breakfast, no clock, only coffee in office, no microwave. Was told on phone it was $56, then $70+/ — during reservation which I was told was non refundable. Girls at front desk were sassy and short on manners. Water faucet in 261 sprays all over.

Comfortable. The desk staff were consistently friendly and helpful. I appreciated that! Other guests were not so courteous, loudly closing doors and calling to one another at late hours. Not sure what the management can do about that. The housekeeper couldn't seem to understand to please come back later. Then my room wasn't cleaned at all that day. No big deal, but it does seem as though the service area could use improvement.

It's a large and very bare bones Motel 6 it does have a pool, but over Memorial Day Weekend, the temperature in it was lower than cold, not even kids used it. This motel is located right off the freeway. It us easy to see from the road. Not great parking, but there is room. With the motel half-full, we had to park half a block away from our room though. Our room was clean. The cable TV works, but takes about 39 seconds to change from one station to the next, that was really strange. I-5 is under re-construction right there, so use caution. There is a restaurant next door.

Upon walking in the room it looked nice and clean, however the smell was not so pleasant. The room smells like a cat box. The AC in the room did not work, only the fan. This is rather disappointing, however I was not going to call the front desk in the middle of the night to switch rooms. Also around the shower door, where the caulking is, was very dirty. It was clear that housekeeping did not make it a top priority to make sure that the shower door was cleaned to standards. There was a cigarette burn in the toilet seat, the bathroom in general needs an upgrade. We did have some neighbors that were outside pretty late horsing around, however they kept to their selves and I couldn’t hear them when I was in my room. The location is good and I would most likely stay again. Prices were reasonable considering the holiday weekend. Again, the front desk staff was great!

Needs security! there's absolutely none, experienced car burglary here. Everything with the room is fine beside a dirty towel or two. Service is okay and friendly. And I love the pet policy. Stayed here for a good bit. But everything got bad when my vehicle was broken into. Window was busted out and all… During the day its okay, at night can be kinda sketchy. Beware fyi the only security cameras in this motel are in they're front office. So park close to your room and be mindful. Your on your own if something happens to you here. Hope you have insurances! otherwise its not the worst choice.

The staff were the absolute best thing about this place. They're all very personable, kind, and brighten your day. Jonnie, especially, was incredible to us. I can't say enough about how she gave us the best service imaginable. She is an absolute angel. However, there is something to be said about the location. More than once our room was walked into, either by knowingly volatile people, or people who made a mistake and tried to enter the wrong room. The knowingly mischievous part is understandable, yet less than great, seeing as it is our responsibility to keep the door completely closed, which is why it's a comment on the area. However, the person who made a mistake was able to unlock our door with her key, which was more than a little disconcerting. Verbal fights and mentions of drugs were inescapable, and as I have anxiety disorder, I had trouble getting to sleep. In conclusion, we were given the best service possible, and for that we are very thankful, but our experience with the other patrons was unfortunate.

Pretty damn good. It's a motel, so nothing five star really. But staff was great, the room was clean, and nothing was broken. I wish there were still cheap rooms available (less than $50), but what are you going to do? I'll definitely stay here again. $5 for decent Wi-Fi is a bit shady, but that's on Motel 6 corporate not the folks at this location.

Great value for the price — very close to business in Tacoma and good access to restaurants (3 walking distance, several more within a mile). Room clean and appreciate renovations. Bad — Motel 6 towels terrible, shower instead of tub, which is OK with me, except nozzle stuck out so far from wall I had to stand close to the shower wall. Check in very fast with new payment system. Bed, pillows, and cable TV all perfectly fine.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Had plenty of parking for my truck and boat, and it was safe with the lighting. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone traveling.

As we were checking in, we were told that our toilet had been plugged but they had fixed it. The next morning I was woke up by the roof leaking on me in the bed and the roof was also leaking in the bathroom so bad it was flooding the bathroom. They moved us to another room that had a broken heater. We froze to death in the second room. There are never enough blankets on the beds or in the rooms to help combat such an issue. Also, there were two beds in each room. The rooms were so small that they were butted up against the wall and the AC/heater units which made it difficult to get in and out for the person sleeping on the inside. There was no water pressure in either shower. I am 6'5" tall and the water spray was so weak it would not reach my legs and it took my wife 10 minutes to rinse shampoo out of her long thick hair. The showers we're also peeling. There also seemed to be a lot of transient type people "living" at the property conducting questionable activities which made us feel unsafe. If I could give this zero stars I would.

Very pleased the rooms were clean and modern and not too mention the price was reasonable. The location was good still had places to eat around the motel and in walking distance. Overall had a pleasant time.

We moved to the area from out of state and stayed here for a few nights while looking for a place here in Tacoma. The room was comfortable and the motel was reasonably quiet — so nobody being wild or anything. They do allow pets at no charge so that was the big seller since we have 2 cats. The front desk associates were all friendly and helpful with any questions I had. The only thing I would suggest is maybe to have like a little breakfast snack like some donuts or something with the coffee in the morning.

Tanisha who works at the front desk was an absolute God send — she was courteous, helpful, professional and went above and beyond for me. She even phoned my room to make sure everything was good with myself and my room. Because of HER I will recommend Fife Motel 6 to my friends and family.

The location of this Motel 6 is awesome. You are literally right in the heart of Fife but still a good ten or fifteen minutes or so away from noisy Tacoma. You definitely get a quality room and great customer service at the front desk.

I stay here frequently. My last checkin and stay experience missed the mark. Got there after 4:15pm. Was told I needed to wait 30 minutes, no clean rooms, cleaning in-progress. While I was waiting another gentleman (Caucasian) walked in, checked in, received room. I am still waiting. I inquired about cancellation of reservation, magic, now there is a room ready. Can you guess my perception? Room not as clean as it could have been. Look under mattress there is an ash tray and smoke detector. Bad bad bad experience. Cutting hours of the cleaning staff to save $100 per day will cost you $ 1000 per day in lost / repeat customers, and millions in damage to Motel 6 brand. Talent cost money, either hire more competent front desk personal, or spend the time and money to train them in excellent customer service. Its Motel 6's Brand that is being affected. If your occupancy rate is down, don't blame season, reread this input. People are staying in hotels and motels. Stay ready, and you don't ever have to get ready.

Great location. Near lots of action and night life. The motel itself is quiet and calm, very nice and clean in the rooms. All in all very comfortable and affordable place to stay.

I am actually currently staying at this Motel 6 as we speak. I gave it three stars only in Soley because the front desk woman in the management seem to be very very nice and courteous to their customers. However their cleanliness of the rooms are much to be desired. The manager did seem highly motivated to help me out by getting somebody to re-clean and change my sheets. However upon second cleaning and inspection it was still filthy. Cigarettes stains on the covers in a non-smoking unit. Filthy disgusting stains all over them. And none of the floors were swept and or mopped and the shower was not cleaned. There was even still make up residue all over the counters and water. All in all bring your own covers and blankets when you come to this place but the management is very nice. Honestly I really feel I deserve to be compensated for this day. I really don’t think that a customer should have to ask more than once for them to change out the covers if it was a one time mistake. She legitimately came back into the room and made the covers worse.

So, we were homeless for quiet a few months. We lived at Motel 6 twice for long periods of time, 2 months the first time & had 2 rooms the entire time and second time for a month one room. Overall we enjoyed our stay because the staff was friendly, the manger Chris really got to know his visitors. They allowed our dogs with no complaints, had areas for us to take our dogs potty & didn't judge our dogs. The maid service was good most days, there were a few days a week they ran out of stuff a little fast by the time they wound get to our room and we wound have to wait longer. The laundry facility is way too SMALL for that size of a motel, so it was hard to get your laundry done when needed. Only 2 washer — 2 dryer, I think it should have at least 6 of each for the size of the motel. During the summer while we were there the pool was open and that was real nice. We'll taken care of the pool. We Thank them for the stay & kindness… Thank you, Cherie, Demond & family.

Room was clean and the front desk gal was very professional which I appreciated. I called the motel 6 eight hundred number to book it and when I got there to check in I was in my room within five minutes. Thanks for a easy and seamless process…

I stay in Motel 6 motels alot. Room was not at all satisfactory. The shower was gross with back mold present in the corners. I was very uncomfortable to shower in it. The surfaces were not thoroughly cleaned. The TV did not work until they sent someone to my room to fix it. The staff however was very friendly and helpful. Thank You.

I have stayed at many Motel 6 locations throughout the US and this is the first one that had the check in clerk call me about 5 minutes after I checked in to find out how things were going. Incidentally, I was not in the right room and I debated if I should even bother. When she called, she moved me to another room without question. Unforgettable service!

When we arrived there were a number of guests waiting to check only 1 Computer was operable so we waited a bit for our turn. Then once we did go to our room (which was to be Non Smoking) the smell of cigarette smoke was horrible. We had plans and were running a bit behind I opened the window a crack to air out while we went to our engagement (7 Hours) when we arrived back tired the smell was still overpowering. Pulled back the bed sheets and notice small drops of blood on the top sheet. I pulled that off the bed. My husband said we will get used to the smell. (after about 3 Hours I awoke with the worst headache and nauseous stomach that was not going away I took a few Aleve in hopes it would help after a couple of hours I woke my husband and said we need to leave. He went to take a shower and the and it would not drain so he had to be fast to not cause it to run all over the floor. We went home and I was sick the entire night. You may not believe this but I am really not one to complain but I will never stay at another Motel 6. This is the worst experience I have ever had.

Microwave not cleaned — filthy. Had caked-on cheese and "something else" — we had to clean it to use it. Floor not swept (I found hair, a battery, and a penny). Toilet had some… uh… stuff on front of bowl (outside). We stayed two days — never had room checked after first day, no bed made, no trash taken out, nothing. Motel was in a convenient location and staff was nice, but room not up to even Motel 6 standard.

Staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet for such a close proximity to the freeway, nice. The mattress was rotten though very lumpy and felt like it was on a slope. Room 223 However the rate was great and all else was perfect for a one night stay.

The check-in staff that early eve were super! Accommodating and friendly. The room was modern, simple and cozy at same time. The bed itself was comfortable and I would def consider staying again. Of course, the location is in more of an industrial type setting, but I knew that going in. Perfect for a business trip, needing comfortable lodgings!

I needed a motel room close to the hospital in Tacoma. My brother was in that hospital. I wanted a low cost room to sleep in. The facility is way over due for remodeling. I have stayed in much better Motel 6 motels. However, this one suited my needs for a bed, a shower and close to Tacoma.

It was organized but the bathroom towels weren't washed well or maybe the maids were lazy and just kept used towels there. And as for the bed, I found a strand of long hair on the sheets. I didn't feel clean in that room. We also requested a non smoking room but when we got the room it smelled like smoke anyway, and there was a clean ashtray glass on the dresser by the bed. So overall I wasn't disgusted by this motel but at the same time I didn't feel like I was in a clean environment. I was hoping I didn't contract any skin diseases from the bedsheets and the bathroom towels.

Our arrival was a little disappointing because the room I had reserved with a mic/fridge and requested a bottom floor was not available even though I had reserved it well in advance online. Apparently they cannot hold a specific type of room, it is first come first serve. I had not experienced that before at any other Motel 6. However when we explained our situation (we were there for a dog show and would have to haul a lot of equipment up and down the stairs if we had a top floor, a smoking room would trigger my friend's migrains, plus we had raw dog food that absolutely had to be refrigerated) the manager bent over backwards to try and find us accommodations within the property that would still give us what we needed. The front desk staff was as helpful as she could be within the restrictions of their policy, and the manager did everything she possibly could to help us out. I would have been extremely unhappy (and our weekend extremely messed up) had she not gone over and above to help us. The rooms themselves were clean and well maintained. The pool was warm and clean. The location was right off the freeway and there were a few places to eat nearby. It was not a bad part of town and was actually in a very pretty area. There was a designated place for taking the dogs to the bathroom and plenty of parking.

Location next to freeway was ideal. Had ample room for parking rental truck AND car carrier. Had great bar and grill across the parking lot. Showed little concern for comfort of guests and overall cleanliness of rooms, however. (I don't think the beds had been swept under in several days. ) Reported an incident with bed bugs and was told someone would come to talk to me. Nada. Next day, same thing, again no one came to check it out. Available rooms that accommodate pets are few and far between in the Seattle area and are quite pricey. Our stay was to be quite lengthy as it turned out, so would have preferred not to pack everything up and move again after an already lengthy road trip from Florida to Washington. After reporting the bed bug situation for the third day with no result, we checked out early. As we had prepaid for four nights, they agreed to credit us for the fourth night, which has been done. For our purposes, this would have been ideal, but no one seemed to be the least bit concerned about the bed bugs, except me. But, then it was me they were biting.

Our room (250) was quiet, very clean. I like the flooring it's so much better carpet! The AC worked very well and was not noisy. The beds were comfortable. The decor was fresh, light and clean. A+ for having a mirror in a great spot with a good light beside it! The only thing we found lacking was water pressure, changing shower heads could improve the pressure without using more water.

First off I want to say the staff were great at this location. Que the front desk staff who checked us in went above and beyond to get us a room that had a fridge and microwave. I give this motel 6 a two star rating because the room was tiny. We could barely move around in the room without bumping into each other or furniture. We had a room on the back side of buildings. This was horrible due to the noise from the highway it kept me up all night and bothered me during the day when I tried to catch a nap. The sheets felt really rough and the shower was so small. The rooms look completely remolded. I'm not for sure why they didn't update the showers to something newer and bigger considering the bathroom was a fairly nice size. Also another downfall of Motel 6 that surprised me. There is a fee added to the daily rate for the fridge and microwave and the Wi-Fi also. Most hotels/motels nowdays offer free Wi-Fi and honestly all have mini fridges and microwaves. The initial rate seems like a good deal until you add in the amenties that most hotels offer for free with your stay. For the price we ended up paying I would have assumed for fridge, microwave, coffee pot, blow dryer and free Wi-Fi. If Motel 6 doesn't change this I don't think I will refer anyone to it or visit them again. Thanks again to Que for being such a great staff member. The two stars I gave are for the professional great attitude you had while checking us in (while you guys appeared to be busy)

Was totally dissatisfied I told them about the ac it went out on a 95 degree day not cold when on and they said thatss all you get I was so mad and the house keeping didnt give me the right number of towels and I asked her she said none are clean im like come on no clean towels at a motel and she didnt give the cups or ice bucket and I had to pay for Wi-Fi at the price I paid I should get wi fi for free and I had to pay extra for a fridge and microwave a per day charge and the room smelled luckully I brought feebreeze maximum strength just because it smelled I had to spray the room 4 timmes and they dont enfprce the pet leash law I had my pet there and we got chased by a dog off its leash and called front desk they did NOTHING they sometimes they didnt understand what I said I do not speak spanish ii had a hard time understanding her the housekeeping I think next year ill go to howard johnson instead I have stayed at ur motel six giving it a chance every year and it has gotten worse not a clean place and nothing works I wont stay there next year.

Very clean rooms and bathrooms as well as the linens. Smiling, fun, and polite staff. Microwave and fridge was clean and working. Enjoyed my stay very much and plan to return here.

I was not going to review this property, but after filling out their online survey, they suggested I share my thoughts in an online review, so here it is… The appearance of the room was dated but clean. It would have been nice for them to provide clean, hair-free sheets that didn't feel as though they reached their prime when Regan was in office. While providing not one, but two pornographic magazines for reading material may be appreciated by some guests, that's not exactly the amenities I typically like in a room. Shampoo is appreciated, however… it would have been nice to have some for this visit. The only thing non-smoking about this room was the sign on the door, which seemed to be more of a suggestion.

I've stayed at this motel 6 two to three times a month for the last 15 years. The staff has always been amazing and the rooms have always been clean. Ive tried the other motels in town and for the price this place rocks. Any issue or I've had has always been rectified immediately. It's above average for most Motel 6's.

My Aunt was scheduled for surgery early in the morning. We decided to rent a motel room closer to the hospital seeing as how we live a couple hours away. We got a reservation at motel 6 When we arrived we were turned away because my 86 year old grandmother did not have a current drivers license even though the room was to be rented in my name with my credit card. This requirement was not mentioned when we spoke on the phone making the reservation. My grandmother no longer drives and hasn't renewed her license. I have no idea what someone that has children with no drivers license would do. We stayed at the Days Inn in Federal way instead. They were nicer and about the same price.

Worst experience ever. Horrible service. Horrible management. This place has the WORST management I have ever come across. You can't even have visitors unless they register for the room. I shouldn't have to register for and pay for a room I'm not even staying in. They have poor communication between staff members as well. While I was visiting my sister, within an hour THREE DIFFERENT housekeepers came to the room, after telling the first two they didn't need their services today. They also said they NEEDED to come in our room and check the attic hatch and make sure it was locked… (there was NO attic access in the room, anywhere) I believe that's considered HARASSMENT. They then kicked my sister, her boyfriend and their kid out because of me not registering and I wasn't even there an hour, and didn't give them back their money they had just paid for the day. Not to mention you could barley understand what the "manager" (because two different people claimed to be the manager) was saying. this hotel/motel is a pathertic joke. By far the worst "hospitality" I have ever seen & received. i do not & will not recommend this place to anyone! it's not worth your time or money.

A substandard Motel 6. The rooms have been remodeled but they kept the scummy 20 year old showers that look like they came out of a truck stop. I got a non-smoking room but the stench of smokers past was still bad enough to make my eyes water. And the area is so noisy with people coming and going that I was woken up at least once every hour throughout the night. If you want a better Motel 6 check out the one north of here on Military Way.

Non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes, front staff was very rude, TV reception goes in and out, and it is very noisy. The housekeeping staff was very nice, though. Don't stay here unless you don't have much of a choice.

Nice, refreshed, clean rooms. The proximity of I-5 will not ensure a great night sleep for sure. Restaurant is next door, with few more options nearby. Front desk personnel extremely friendly, warmly welcoming. From a Motel 6, the best you can get for the price. The Southwest of the hotels.

Not a luxury hotel, but very nice for a Motel 6. Newly remodeled rooms. Pet friendly. NO carpet which is great. Helpful and friendly staff members. Stayed for 3 nights.

Location location location. I use this M6 more than any other hotel. Pool, pets, fridge with a FREEZER, AC, park right at the door. The make over is great! Love the flooring with NO CARPET!

Horrid, My second night at this property was cancelled because of late check in, which was noted that I would be checking in after midnight. This was due to the property being overbooked so they released my room to give it to someone else. The girl at the front counter was a snot… very short and rude. She did not go over the "itinerary", had she we would have caught the second night being cancelled. Because I didn't know that I had to check out, I left my belongings in the room, while I did what I had to do in the area. I received a phone call from the hotel that I need to check out and that I need to come get my belongings because I didn't have a reservation for a second night. I told them that it would be a while (I was on the water helping my daughter become a certified diver, that I couldn't just jump in the car and run on over). The staff proceeded to throw all my belongings in bags. (Laptops, tablets, ipods, personals, ipods). When I went to retreive my items they failed to give me a bag and a backpack. I had to go back in and ask for my items, (A backpack full of personsals (ipod, camera, etc. ) and a tablet. How convenient for the low paid staff, had I not caught that! To top all that off, I purchased 2 days of Wi-Fi that morning, with them knowing full well that I didn't have a room for that night and that I "should" have been checking out that morning. Why would I pay for 2 days of Wi-Fi if wasn't going to be there.

Newly remolded room was amazing. With hardwoods floors, a black stone bath counter top along with a new firm mattress, the room blew me away in quality and comfort.

Overall: low price; you get what you pay for. Room and beds were fine, just a little bit smelly when we first walked in. Some guy emptying out his car's trunk right outside my first floor window at 2:30 AM. You know, Motel 6. There is a red-light camera around the corner from this Motel 6, operated by the City of Fife (at 54th and 20th, southbound as you are getting off of I-5). I came to a full stop in front of, instead of behind, the white line. My choice to stop in a safer location with a better view of traffic cost me $124. So much for an affordable night at Motel 6. I encourage the owners of the Fife Motel 6 to work with the city's law enforcement personnel to crack down on people who pose actual danger, not people who stop a few feet in front of the white line while making a stop before turning right. Those red light cameras continue to treat people passing through the city as ATMs. Not a good way to ensure return visitors.

The best value for money. Staff were friendlier here than at Tacoma South Motel 6. Ask for a room where you can park outside (to keep an eye on your vehicle. ). Look online for a 'corporate discount code'. Overall, a cheap place to stay, with friendly staff, but the other guests are a bit questionable.

A dump. Bring your own shampoo and try to avoid the mold. Must be the owners relatives that got this place to 3 stars, Trust me. It's a dump. The only upside is that the area seems to be safe. In fact this place was so dumpy I won't stay at another motel 6 unless it's a choice between our car and a bed.

This place is a dump! Cheap cheap cheap! Room smells! 11 channels that work! No tub! Just a stand up shower! A/C is broke! Refirgerator is broke! I gotta PAY for Wi-Fi?!?! Ive stayed in hotels all over the country, first one ive been required to pay for Wi-Fi at! This was a total waste of money! Ill never stay in a motel 6 again! Pay the few extra bucks! WHATEVER YOU DO KEEP THE CRUISE ON ON I5! PASS THIS DUMP UP AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

This place is just awful. Beds hard as rocks. Shower does not have pressure. Carpets wet. Tv stuck in the early 90's and only ten channels to choose from. Oh yeah don't forget you have to for Wi-Fi. Will never stay there again.

After a week of camping, this motel was a welcome sight. Accommodations were simple, street noise is noticeable, but bearable if you are a medium/heavy sleeper, reservation process was simple (5 minute hold while calling, but coming from a customer service background I don't dock points for that). Recommend the 2.99 charge for Wi-Fi, but beware you may have to call the included support number if your android device fails to connect (be sure to have your mac address on hand (if you don't know what that is, then be sure to call the support number on the hotel phone instead of your own) ).

The staff is very Friendly, (especially Rose and Doris and Cynthia) Helpful and Courtesy. I recommend this motel for anyone that wants great service and a quiet getaway. Close to the Emerald Queen Casino in Fife. Great restaurant right next door. Housekeeping is great and is very great in helping with all your personal needs. Very Pet Friendly. If you need something fixed the Maintenance Man is so prompt and fast. I recommend this motel for all your needs (stays) Thank you Motel 6 Tacoma-Fife. My stay was totally awesome and you all made me feel life I was at home. I will be staying here when I return in June.
