Outside isn't anything amazing but the rooms themselves are quite nice though maybe a bit small. Housekeeping seemed to do a fine job. No major complaints whatsoever.

We stayed here 12 days for our family vacation and it was perfect for us. The kitchen had exactly what we needed to fix simple meals. The breakfast is not fancy but it covers all the basics such as waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereal and oatmeal. It would be difficult to not find something to eat! Nina is absolutely delightful to see each morning. She works her tail off every morning accommodating families and guests. Every single person at the front desk was pleasant, kind, professional and very helpful! Janel is doing an excellent job managing that team. This was our first stay at a Towneplace Suites and we are completely sold. Housekeeping came daily and washed dishes/made beds which was like an added bonus! The laundry is free and was greatly appreciated after vacationing for three weeks on the road. The hotel is close to grocery stores and restaurants and about 15 minutes from the metro. We used the metro daily to get in DC for our tourism but saved a ton of money staying in Alexandria with Towneplace Suites. In the evenings there are grills available to use and they offer grilling tools and seasonings. They also have small kitchen appliances like rice cookers, blenders etc. We could even borrow board games! Not one single detail was left out of our stay.

Nina and Janel were awesome. The room was comfortable. A few feet short of being able to put a queen air mattress in for the kids instead of the pull out comfortably. A very affordable safe location to save money while visiting DC with a family. Take George Washington Dr. To the city for a beautiful drive along the Potomac.

This place is a nice get away. They have hot breakfast and it is free. There is no parking problem in this facility and you may like it compare to in town hotels. The rooms are built in kitchen and a big fridge. You can cook simple stuff and hide in your room. The price is not expensive compare to the area. They also provide free luandary using your own supplies. Overall my two nights was great and I recommend to everyone to visit this place.

This is the best hotel I have been to in a long time! The rooms are clean and modern. The staff are wonderful, especially Tenina (sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly). Her bubbly personality and kindness was wonderful to encounter at breakfast every morning. We will be back!

Staff was really friendly and the room was clean but a little smaller than what most hotels I have been to. The room was well furnished with a refrigerator, ironing board, sofa, and lots of other things. My group enjoyed the indoor pool. My only complaint was the free breakfast was not very good but then again it is free so it’s what I’ve come to expect from hotels. The breakfast was late a few mornings too. I’d stay here again.

Check in was painfully long, due to an error on the part of the customer. My problem was, the lady behind the desk not helping the next customers, which would be us, then going back to the task of remedying the prior situation. After about 30 or so minutes of waiting, and a line forming, a gentleman comes out to assist us, but automatically goes to the closest persons to him, and asks if he could help them. My girlfriend let him know we were next, and so we were assisted and given a room. That came with no apology for the long wait. Neither the lady that tended to the customer with the issue, nor the gentleman who came to assist, were apologetic. As guests using friends and family, I understand that we get a lower rate, but does lower rate mean lesser service and courtesy? We tend to get ADA rooms, which isn't always a bad thing, but sometimes we would like, "normal" accommodations. With that being right on the first floor, and next to housekeeping, and the customer service office, it tends to be noisy in the morning. Sometimes we sleep later, so we here all of the noise. We asked about a room change, but that was not immediate. We were told the next day. The next day we left out early, and returned late, then decided to keep the room, due to us having a lot of items to move. One more issue is housekeeping only changes sheets every seven days (if you stay for a week), or if you ask. Never knew that was the time frame to change sheets.

Absolutely Awesome, our room is literally a mini home, we have a 2 burner flat top range, a dishwasher, a great desk set up for working on the computer, a microwave, kitchen sink, full size refrig silverware, pots and pans, and the bathroom is unbelievable. The cost was 120.0p per night which was awesome. We will be staying here when we vo. E up for business and visits.

How lucky were we during a stressful drive from NC to have our call answered by Alexandra Rojo, she was so pleasant. When we arrived, she greeted us and remembered us by name. Once settled in our room, she called to make sure everything was to our liking. I went later to the front desk as there was no coffee in our room. Within minutes, there was a knock on our door and there was Alexandra. Marriott is fortunate to have an employee like Alexandra representing them.

Beautiful room. The gym was nice too and it has enough cardio equipment. Staff was really friendly as well.

A very mediocre hotel. Its not dirty or run down but not as nice as a residence inn either. Breakfast wasn't that great but was available for free. The staff were nice and friendly and check in was easy. Not a bad place if you need to spend the night but I wouldn't stay for longer than that.

The TownePlace Suites was remarkable. It's so peaceful and the staff showed much hospitality, from the front desk to the morning breakfast staff. The location was convienent for all of our needs. I give it a thumbs up!

Awesome place to lay your head. Nice breakfast very helpful staff. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because I'm handicapped and the bed is to high for a handicap person to get into. Should be a little lower.

Excellent and no words to me charm would return if necessary … Hojala and never change I give it a 100 time very relaxed if something strange holiday is the hotel hehehe I'll be back! Super…

Love the amenities. Very spacious I would stay again; however, between 6 — 7:30am there is something that is taking place where it sounds like some one is running back and forth on the floor above you and the noise is relentless!

Beautiful, spacious suite. Everything was very up-to-date, and the breakfast was very nice. Also the staff was quite friendly and helpful. Excellent hotel — would definitely recommend it.

We stayed one night for a soccer game. What a great place we chose! The sweet lady at the front desk was awesome! She she helped us in so many ways! The rooms were very clean… would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay in an excellent location particularly if you're visiting Ft. Belvoir or want to go to Old Town for dinner. The rooms are nice and equipped with smart TVs. Kitchen is nicely sized and the bathroom is great. Breakfast isn't much, but it's hot and free so can't complain too much. My only gripe is that even if you hang up your towels they take them when housekeeping comes through.

Excellent room. Very clean and comfortable beds. Good free breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again — this hotel reflects well on the TownSuites brand.

Surpassed even Marriott's high standards. Upon late-night check-in, I had many dumb questions about the next morning's commuting schedule. Lee Ann patiently answered them all. When I had problems with the clothes washer, Mohammed went out of his way to help. Catherine was very helpful several times at the front desk. Nina cheerily operates the breakfast spread. Excellent stay.

Clean! Very nice room with kitchenette. Spacious and comfortable. The free breakfast would have been better, but we went down at 9:15 and it ended at 9:30, so some items were already empty. Not their fault. There were several families with children and they emptied out the eggs and sausage. We had a king bed and a pull out sofa. We will definately book here when we return to Alexandria. It would be a nice place to have an extended stay to do a multi-day tour of the Capitol.

I've never had a bad stay here. The staff is always super friendly and attentive to my needs. I always recommend them to friends and associates.

Great place. Great staff. Easy check-in. They even coned off space for my 45 foot bus and made sure no one parked their. Rooms were super clean and smelled good. I'll definitely be back, and will recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is very clean. Rooms are up to date and great for long stays. Free Wi-Fi but there is a fee for faster connection. Did find it fast enough for normal online tasks as well as down loading video not for streaming. Was able to online game though. Seems to be a quiet area. Easy in our out. Surrounding area is okay. Fast food is nearby but not many restaurants.

Terrible experience. I stay in Marriotts all over the world, and this was by far my worst Marriott experience ever. The hotel itself is fine, but the staff are — bar none — the worst. We arrived at 1230am (as we indicated we would), very late after a long day of travel. The door was locked, which is good security, but no one was at the front desk to let us in or check us in. People in the lobby saw us and felt bad after 10 minutes, so they let us in, but then we waited another 10 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. The employee offered no apology and said maybe 2 words to us during the check-in process. No mention of breakfast hours, no mention of the elevator, nothing. I get it that people can have bad days, but don't take it out on your customers. The next morning, the manager was not much better. It's as if we had pissed in the hotel Cheerios, and they all knew it was us. Awful, awful, awful. If you are loyal to Marriott, find another one if you can.

This is a newer hotel it is nice and in a quiet area. The staff very friendly and professional. Whenever in that area will always stay here…

Gorgeous hotel. Leanne, Patricia, Brittney, Rosa and Nina were amazing. Loved EVERYTHING about the stay. They accommodated our Fort Lauderdale School group on a Washington tour. The rooms are HUGE and Modern. Amenities are A1. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Clean fresh well decorated. Pleasant staff. Free buffet breakfast. Pet friendly. Suites have a stocked kitchen plates/pots/stove top/large fridge/microwave. Plenty of storage for luggage. Large spacious rooms. Close to stores and resturants.

Great experience at the hotel! While in town for a wedding, we stayed there for the evening. Hotel staff was exceptional — friendly and accommodating. The room itself was great. Bed was just the right mixture of plush and firmness. My son slept on the sofa bed, which can be notoriously uncomfortable, but he said it was comfortable. Breakfast was decent, a little low on eggs when we were there, but not a reason to bring down the review. The pool heater was broken but the front desk employee told us we were welcome to use it. I opted out of it but my kids took a dip in the morning and were not fazed by the temperature. Overall, a very nice hotel at a great price when booking online. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

I was there for the weekend thanks to some friends, the whole place is Beautiful, service gret, rooms large, Oh the customer service was really outstanding Are free breakfast bar my goodness, everything, you wanna eat, the gym, oh just amazing.
