DIRTY DIRTY HOTEL! The room looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 70’s, it reeked of musty mildew, there were big STAINS on the bed covers, I pulled a large HAIR out of the bed sheets, and there were BROWN SPLATTERS of something on the walls, and fingerprints of BLOOD or feces on the curtains! We were so horrified, we left immediately, and the hotel WOULDN’T REFUND our money! These rooms are priced way too high for such an unpleasant experience. Stay away!

On arrival from England our room wasn’t even available as they’d double booked, wouldn’t tell the other guests to leave even though they’d only extended their stay that day. So we got put in a temp room which wasn’t big enough for the 5 of us with only a double bed n a single, the next day after several visits to reception and spending 7 hours waiting around they finally sorted our room. Food wasn’t labelled for allergy advice and no gluten free options available for breakfast. Not helpful desk staff at all. Won’t stay again.

I work for Hertz and delivered cars for a client. The exterior is clean and welcoming. The lobby is the most I've seen of the inside but it's just as nice as the outside. Friendly staff and easy access to major roadways.

When check-in starts with a smile, efficiency, and cookies it's hard to beat. Really enjoyed the stay here. Great room, tasty coffee, wonderful breakfast, and the property is so close to the highway and so close to some good restaurants.

Had a great stay here. Location was great. Near Fort Belvoir, grocery store, restaurants, mount Vernon, etc. We stayed on 2nd floor and was great was able to walk to the pool and fitness center without needing to go down stairs or take an elevator (there was a ramp from the 2nd floor that lead directly to pool and fitness center). Breakfast was good and so were the snack options they had for sale. Very clean as well.

This is a wonderful choice for your overnight stay. Conveniently located and stuffed with exceptionally professional and friendly people it is an excellent choice for your home away from home. The Hampton chain is consistently they are for me as I travel extensively and I've always been quite happy with what they have to offer. This is one of my choice locations for when I'm in the area to work from.

Fantastic stay! April and Joel went way out of their way on our first day to help us get settled in, and offered suggestions for local things to do and places to go. Clean, comfortable, relaxing and fun (at once! ). Will definitely be back next time we come to the area!

Nice rooms, front desk people relatively friendly. If you need supportive pillows bring your own, these were very soft with no neck support. The free breakfast was a really nice touch to have each day.

Rooms are nice and clean. Free breakfast is a big plus for early morning museum trips. Had a mix-up with the room but it was resolved quickly.

Hotel was clean and located in a great area. We stayed here when visiting Mount Vernon and it was a perfect location, only a few miles away. The staff was great and very accommodating when we needed an extra night stay.

Everyone at this Hampton Inn are so hospitable. The room was beautiful and spacious. The overall feel of the place is "Welcome Home and You are a VIP.

We had a very late check-in in the middle of the week we got into our room unpacked and the air conditioner was blowing hot air and it would not cool off we requested a room change and the night manager courteously moved us to a new room promptly.

Remodeled, but still a little wear to the facility. Traffic can be challenging during peak traffic hours. Room seemed to be clean and maintained. Breakfast area was clean and had good food and variety.

The front desk staff was friendly and the queen deluxe room was super spacious. Breakfast was excellent. However, the mechanical humming noise everytime you layed your head down, the thin walls so you can hear your neighbors arguing, and the musty carpet smell in the hallways were not so nice. Good for a one nighter but not for a longer stay.

I have been staying at this hotel annually for several years now. This visit last visit was a little disappointing. We had to switch rooms twice, once when we first arrived to the room when we got a call from the front desk telling us the TV was broken. Second time we had to switch because the toilet was not flushung properly. The indoor pool when we first arrived was freezing cold, too cold that it wasn't even enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious as usual, this is one of the main reasons we stay at this hotel. Their complimentary breakfast includes eggs, potatoes, meat side, Belgian waffles station, assorted breads and pastries, assorted fruits and yogurt, cereals and juice machine. The rooms were neat and I liked the new carpet in the hallways. The staff was courteous and helpful. The price was affordable and the beds are very comfortable, especially if you remove the scratchy cover on the comforter.

Excellent service. Free toiletries also. Only problem is we paid $250 for being too loud.

This hotel was very hospitable and quiet. My only complaint is that their Wi-Fi was down while my family and I visited.

It's perfect for a short stay! They offer a good continental breakfast with real eggs (not the powdered eggs that most hotels are giving in a continental breakfast) really good oatmeal with all the toppings you could want, fruit, cereal and etc. The room we had was pretty big, a comfortable king size bed, a flat good size TV, a big desk, small fridge with tiny ice box, 24 hour snack corner, the employees were really nice and helpful.

We enjoyed the indoor pool. It was open from 7am to 10pm which I really like! The room was nice, the front desk people were very nice along with the breakfasts people. There is a nice selection of food.

The staff is very friendly and engaging. On the menu for breakfast this morning: eggs scrambled with ham and cheese. DELICIOUS! Will definitely stay again.

Not clean. Carpets stained and wrinkled, remote was filthy, door handles sticky, fire alarm sounded (false alarm) at midnight. No feedback from desk staff. Breakfast is minimally average. Canadian bacon sits in warm water until you eat it. Not meat juice… water. Air conditioning is waaay too loud! Awful experience.

I have been on the road and living in a hotel for almost the last five months. It’s been difficult to be away from home for such a long time. One of the highlights of my day is when I get home (back to the hotel, feels like home because it’s been so long) and my room is immaculate. My bed is made and all my linen is fresh. Even on the days I didn’t need my room fixed Leticia made sure to go out of her way to check if I needed linen or anything else. The thing that means the most to me is just how welcome and at home she and the rest of the staff makes me feel. You can really tell when someone is just doing their job and when someone really cares and she has made all the difference.

Our room was clean and nice. The only issues we had were the children in the hallway running up and down screaming, which wasn't the hotels fault. And the hotel manager on the phone talking to another manager on the phone so loud that it became annoying at breakfast. Also, the eggs and potatoes weren't as good as the Hampton Inn in Baltimore.

This was a nice hotel. Very clean, staff was pleasant to deal with, breakfast was good for a free meal. The only thing that bummed me out was, usually the staff at the hotels in different locations are locals to the area, and usually you can pick their brains for tips on visiting local attractions. In this instance, the staff didn't have much to offer. But that is beside the point of this review, has nothing to do with how well they do their jobs, and they do their jobs very well at this location. I would definitely stay here again, I have a large family, so accommodating us is a feat in itself and that says a lot about the capabilities of the staff at this location. Overall, very nice hotel. We stayed two nights for a family wedding at Mount Vernon. The room: We were in a King Room on the third floor. The room was a good size and the furnishings were modern and pretty. There were two bedside tables and lamps, a desk with a lamp, a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and TV — standard hotel furnishings. There was also a large bench at the end of the bed which is as a nice feature since there isn't a couch or chairs. One of the lights next to the bed was burnt out and the power dock supplied for phone charging did not work. We unplugged both however, and the wall outlet was still usable so we made do. The bathroom was large and updated. There was a good sized stall shower, a large vanity with a single sink, and a shelving nook for toiletries. Not much space in the shower for toiletries but enough to make do. The only complaint I had about the bathroom is that there were only two large towels for the shower, which is an issue when you have long hair. Luckily we had some from home, so it wasn't a huge issue. Our room overlooked the outdoor patio by the pool which is a nice gathering space with tables and chairs. The curtains were wonderful, there is a thin privacy curtain, and then thick black out curtains, so we were able to control the light well. The air conditioning worked wonderfully. The closet door was a floor to ceiling mirror which was nice when we were leaving for the wedding to be able to see full outfits.

Dale and the other staff are fantastic! Fresh cookies and drinks available as you walk in. It's like all the hospitality the city lacks can be found in this one spot!

This is a great hotel. The employees are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and we'll kept. The breakfast is good. I wish they would add bacon instead of sausage and the pastries were a bit stale. Everything else was fantastic.

Although we booked a suite with two Quran e beds, the "suite" was nothing more than a poorly air conditioned room. The bathroom was tiny. So tiny, that the door had less than an inch clearance to the toilet bowl. They were stains in the tub (looked like hair coloring products), on bath towels and on the bed sheets. Overall feel of the hotel was clean and maintained. The pool was clean as well and tested regularly. The front desk agent "Sam" was exceptional and extremely professional.

Hotel was a very pleasant experience overall. The room was very clean, and I liked the layout. Included a fridge and microwave in the standard room. TV was kind of small, but served its purpose. Only complaint was that internet Wi-Fi was weak and slow, and when we checked out the indoor pool it was kind of small, and the water appeared murky. Included breakfast was very pleasant though, so would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

My room was clean and attractive, but the room heat ran too hot overnight and could not be controlled. At one point I turned the HVAC off at the thermostat, and the room heat continued to cycle! What's up with that? In addition, the breakfast was totally "meh". The least number of choices and condiments I've had at a Hampton Inn in many years.

We checked in late on Friday and the front desk clerk was less than helpful. She informed me she had no towels pillows or blankets that she could supply us. There was none on my children's bed. The next night I listened for 6 hours as the people next to us fought all night about drugs and other various sexual issues. I called down the front desk 5 times with no answer as they threw stuff against walls and screamed at each other for literally 8 hours. The hotel did try to make it right by giving me the one night for free.

First time at this hotel and it was outstanding. The service and staff were second to none and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Audrey is amazing! She is cheerful and awesome to talk to, she always looked out for us and called us her "Canadian Kids". She will be missed by us. She always made sure we were on time and back safe. I'm happy to add to your coin collection by giving you a Toonie and yes we all find them weird as well! Dale always made sure that we got cookies and saved us treats when we came back late from our drives to DC. Great guy to talk to and easy to like. Ileayna (I totally spelt her name wrong and I'm sorry! ) always had a huge smile when we came back from work and was very nice and sweet. Her and I had many talks about her home country and how she liked the DC area. I hope you like the Tim Horton's coffee I gave you, that is a national treasure to Canada! All in all this is the best hotel I have ever been to in terms of the staff and hospitality. Everything from the front staff to the outstanding room service and quiet and comfortable rooms just made my week of business there fantastic. Next time I am in DC I will always be staying here.

I stayed here back in October while I was driving from NY home to FL. I booked this hotel through the Hotel Tonight app, and when I checked in to the hotel they asked me for my credit card for incidental purposes only, as my room had already been prepaid ($111.00). About a week later I noticed my bank account had a charge from this particular Hampton Inn and it was for their nightly rate at $94.25. I called and spoke with the manager who reassured me it was the fault of the young man who checked me into the hotel, as he never made sure my credit card wasn't swiped solely for incidentals, and my account would be credited the $94.25 within 10-12 business days. Well, that 10-12 business days came and went, and I filed a dispute on the charge with my bank (PNC). I filled out all of the necessary paperwork and sent it in. I also called the hotel one additional time to see if they would actually make good on their wrongful charge, and the phone just rang, and rang and rang — never reached a voice mailbox. I tried back 2 additional times that same night and never reached anyone. So I mailed in the paperwork. This dispute has been reopened 3 times now as the hotel still continues to disregard my bank's attempt to rectify the fraudulent situation. I am NOT happy, and will NEVER be staying at a Hampton Inn ever again. Good luck!

Almost all of the staff is amazingly helpful with out being overbearing. After staying there for a week every month for over a year and a half only two employees were a regular pain to deal with. Rooms were always clean, only ever minor discrepancies. The breakfast is pretty standard for pre-prepared food. Never felt like I needed to eat out for breakfast. The pool is nice, no hot tub. Gym is small but is equipped to get the job done. After being at a few hotels/motels in the area, I can say this one is a cut above the rest. (Dec 2015)

This was my first time staying at this hotel but definitely not my last. Whenever I have to be in this area for business, this is where I will stay. The staff members were friendly and helpful. I loved the king suite! It was very spacious and had a microwave and fridge. There were eating and shopping places a short drive from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, nice breakfast area. Employees need some training on customer service though. I called ahead the day of arrival to confirm that I would be arriving about 1 AM-HOLD my spot! Got there and the night clerk had cancelled my reservations because I didnt show up AND the cc from ORbitz didnt go thru. Luckily I was able to convince her to get me in and let the manager handle it that morning. Michael indeed handled it and took care of it but on checkout was AGAIN presented with a bill which had already been pd. Training 101 needs to happen at the front desk. Other than that-the hotel is top notch and would recommend it.

Someone accidentally checked us in prior to getting there. So there was some initial confusion. Aside from that it has been pretty standard. Location is nice.

So it must be some type of peak season the rooms were extremely expensive. 200+ per night. We are currently still here and there are ants in tbe bathroom and stink bug crawling around. The white linen is dingy and the pillows are uncomfortable and dont keep shape. This is in the suite. My sheet doesn't even fit my bed properly for these rates I expected much better. My insurance co is picking up the tab, I will never stay here on my own.

Worst Hampten that I've stayed at. The people at the desk We're not helpful, the room was not made up until 1 or 2 In the PM. Parking is bad. Overpriced for what you get. Don't stay here.

After booking reservations, in a facility that I just knew would be accommodating, especially since it was adjacent to Fort Belvoir, I was immediately heart broken. First of all there wasn’t any early check-in, and after being on the road and/or traveling all night, you would like to have a place to freshen up a bit, before I had to attend a meeting at Ft Belvoir. After complaining a bit, and by fate, my meeting was moved back about a few hours, and I was able to get a room at 10:33 a. M. Unfortunately, this room had very low water pressure, in the toilet, that cause a back-splash when you flush the toilet, thus causing bodily fluids to splash upon you and/or unto the floor. There wasn’t any maintenance people on hand to fix the problem, because it was passed 4:00 p. M. The staff and the facility are great, but the operations and maintenance need to be desire. If you are a traveler looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay, travelers beware.

Do not stay at this hotel. They tried to say I smoked in the room and charged my credit card $250. For it. I did not smoke in this room but I did see their staff out back smoking when I left the day after my stay.

The place has very good customer service. The location is very nice. The people there go out of there way to help you. They have very good breakfast there. The prices are very good. They have many locations.

I always enjoy the Hampton Inn. Great rooms, free internet and breakfast, and affordable.

DON'T STAY IF YOU WANT A POOL! Also, our bathroom was flooded when we arrived, with water dripping out of the ceiling and all over the floor. We had to stay in this room overnight, because there were no more rooms available. They moved us the next day, but here's the WORST part: The POOL DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL 5 P. M.! Even in the summer! We chose this hotel (and the much higher price than other hotels) because of the pictures on the internet, of the nice looking swimming pool, and there is NOTHING on there about limited hours for it. This is false advertising. Come on! It's summertime! My 8 and 10 year old boys are climbing all over the furniture, wanting to get out to the pool and swim! We have to leave at 5 p. M. To go volunteer at the weekend seminar we are here to assist at. You'd think the cost the hotel spends, to maintain the rooms after restless youngsters crawl all over it, would be far MORE than what it would cost to pay for a day-time lifeguard. I will never stay in another Hampton Inn.
