Amazing spot. And the best brunch at Grain Will stay again.

Gorgeous hotel in amazing location with tons of restaurants and bars. However, the Executive Lounge was appalling. Inoperable coffee machine and food left out from at least the day before. No evening reception. I’m still in shock.

Great place, with super helpful employees!

Love this place! Kellen and Tyler were really fun and helpful. So was Leslie the front desk supervisor. Definitely will be staying here every time I come back home to 757

A fantastic hotel. I had reservations at Sheraton waterside and they were over booked so they sent me down the street to the Hilton! Couldn’t be happier; it’s fantastic… the hotel itself is beautiful, everyone is so accommodating, the restaurants are amazing and the views from my room are incredible! Thank you Waterside for throwing me out lol.

Horrible place to work! I went into this position with great aspirations and hopes and left being falsely accused of sexual harassment, belittled by a first shift co-worker who felt I was mentally feeble, a front sexual supervisor accusing me of lying three times, and a coup de gras: threat by a security worker with handcuffs.

We live local but decided we would try out a weekend at The Main. Here are my thoughts… Extremely low ceiling parking garage. If you have anything over 6’08” don’t even try. I have a normal size small pick up and I had to take the antenna off the top. Barely made it. Also for a $400 a night room, parking should be included. Not a deal breaker but it should be. If you don’t plan on moving your car it’s cheaper to pay in the garage than to pay the hotel. $13 a night vs $20+ a night Room was not ready at 4pm check in time. Said they’d call me. They didn’t. I ended up going back and asking if a room was available. The staff at the hotel was 50/50. Hotel staff were always polite and courteous and acted like they were representing an expensive hotel. Restaurant staff were not as professional. Some were friendly but most were on the edge of being rude and acted like they really hated being there. I tipped well anyways, even if they were not the best. Maybe they were just having a bad day…all at the same time. Had reservations at Saltine. Upon entering we approached what I assumed was the host/ess station. Stood there and was ignored by several employees. Another woman walked in and was greeted right away. I then asked if this is where we checked in for our reservations and the woman was very rude and dismissive. We awkwardly stood around for another 5 minutes until she finally said something to me again.

Loved it, it was clean and fresh and I enjoyed the view.

Everything is great from the rooms to the restaurant and the location.

Fantastic hotel! From entry to exit! The artwork was visually pleasing 😍 The staff gave great customer service! My room was magnificent with the best views! Good food! Saltine was gr8! All of the restaurants are great. We like Saltine and Varia more for special occasions, but Grain is a rooftop bar where we are never disappointed. The staff are super friendly and the food is all delicious. Highly recommend!

Room very comfortable and an amazing view of Harbor. Not a fan of the barn door on bathroom tho. Staff was fantastic.

Beautiful atmosphere, fabulous food and we were given the BEST service I have had in the Hampton Roads area. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with a warm smile and welcomed. It was such a great treat to be greeted this way… then to top that off we had Doug who provided us with impeccable service. I cannot wait to go back!

I’ve stayed here twice and by far, the best hotel experience to date! The rooms, staff, location, and food are some of the best I’ve had in my global travels.

I loved Grains, the food was delicious, the scenery was beautiful & Ioved the atmosphere. Saltine was really nice loved the outdoor sitting. Really loved spending our @ The Main.

The Hilton Norfolk is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Great location, at par with beautiful facilities and a staff to match. The grain balcony bar/restaurant is a real nice compliment of the whole Hilton Norfolk experience.

All around great atmosphere and love the way the route of social distance here.

Stayed at the main for 1 night (literally 6 hours) and I got charged 60$. I called them and they accused me of stealing 2 pillows. First of all, your pillows are not comfortable. Second, you couldn't have checked the cameras before you charged me? Apparently the housekeeper reported 2 pillows missing from the room. When I arrived, there was only 2 pillows on my bed to begin with. My husband had 4 pillows on his bed (near the window) which is standard. So your previous housekeeper that cleaned our room prior to our stay, didn't give my bed 2 more pillows (for a normal a
total of four) and therefore I got charged for NO REASON. Check the footage all you want, there is no way 2 pillows would fit in my bag or my husbands bag and I would never steal or take anything to begin with. Horrible service, horrible accusation, and I will never stay at a Hilton ever again.
Out of all of the hotels I have stayed at, I have never once taken anything or gotten accused of anything. Also, you didn't let us know there was a 21 dollar parking charge. You even validated our pass the morning we checked out. Wouldn't you think it would be nice to let your customers know how much parking for one night is? I had to get a nice surprise charge of 21.20$ as well.
All I am saying is check your cameras. We checked in sometime after midnight on 6/14 and checked out on 6/14 at 620am.

Having a wonderful experience so far! Rooftop at Grain is spectacular. Nikki, our waitress, went above and beyond our expectations. Friendly, approachable, and fun to chat with!
Saltine (unfortunately) was a womp womp
Woooommmppp. Went in around 3:45 and our server was a very uninterested waiter. Asked about specials and oysters and his response “I couldn’t tell ya because I hate oysters and barely stomach shrimp”. We got up and went back up to Grain. Lucky for us, Nikki was our server again!
Staying for a quick early anniversary away from home for a night. Our corner river view room, breathtaking!

Not bad. The location is nice. The rooms don't have a mini fridge, and my room was over a "rooftop" bar that was quite noisy. I'm used to it so I didn't complain, but I suspect some would have an issue with the noise. It's nice but nothing too crazy. If the price is right it's good, otherwise not that special.

Our room was very well appointed. It was clean, the beds and linen we're comfy, and the bathroom was well lit and roomy. It would have been nice if the room had a mini fridge, but this is not a deal breaker. The ironing board and iron came in handy for the wedding we had to go to. There is a roof top bar beneath our room, and it got a little noisey, but our kids were able to sleep through it, so it wasn't too much of a problem. Over all a great experience.

We'll definitely be back to visit the Norfolk area, but will sadly be bypassing a weekend stay at this Hilton.

Really cool place in the heart of downtown Norfolk. Pricey, however very special. Seniors and children beware of a very live nightlife after say 7pm. There is a lot to do and see within walking distance. Park and enjoy.

The Hilton hotel in Norfolk is relatively new and it shows. Excellent design, decoration and art. Several good to great restaurants to choose from as well. I recommend Fruitive. The only cons I can think of is the executive level lounge is nothing special and the rooftop bar can get extremely loud and be heard from rooms.

I’m giving this venue 5 stars of the excellent customer service and cleanliness of the hotel. I was in a wedding and the coordinators were amazing. Matt was funny, quirky and a joy to be around. The staff constantly checked on us as we were getting ready so that was a plus. The hotel itself is huge! Everything is tall and grand. It was a pleasure being there. I had heard that there were 2 other weddings there and I had no idea which is a good thing, no overlap of weddings. Overall I would recommend this venue for weddings and events. I rarely recommend hotels, but this one blew me away. Glad to know we have such a elegant hotel in my hometown!

Great hotel. Awesome location and really good restaurants both inside the hotel and within walking distance. The rooms are big, clean and modern. It's a very popular hotel, so be aware that check in may take a bit. It's not the fault of the staff, there just tends to be a lot of people checking in at the same time.

Dinner at the rooftop bar. Packed on a Saturday night. Servers capably handled a big party with varied arrivals. They did bring a single check, and food was not always as quick to arrive as might be ideal, but it was good. Pricing, considering venue and geography, wasn't unreasonable.

Beautiful hotel the sculptures, design, and location are all amazing. The gym facilities are nice. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and not so high up that it's crazy windy. The rooms are clean and sleek. Staff is very professional!

I really loved this swanky upscale Hilton. I plan on staying again, however, I have one request, can you please put an additional soft seating in the rooms such as a chair and ottoman. Other than the chair at the desk, there was nowhere else to sit except the bed. I personally do not like sitting on my bed in my clothes. It may seem trivial but it was a huge deal.

Very nice upscale hotel right on main st. There was a variety of places to eat and drink right in the hotel not to mention all the places in walking distance. They have a pool table that’s open 24 hours a day. The lounge on the 21st floor was great. Rooms were nice, clean and recently updated. All in all it was a great experience.

Very pleasantly surprised! We had an excellent experience. The rooms are small but very clean and nicely done. The selection of restaurants is better than I hae seen anywhere in the area. The front desk staff are polite and professional. Great views! We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. January 2018

Our room was clean and beautiful. The window shades were great. The bed was very comfortable. I love the lighting and style of the rooms. The building itself is spectacular. The Hilton has made a big investment in Norfolk. The restaurants were also pretty great. There is some wonderful art on the walls and sculptures throughout, which I think is a wonderful idea. I felt safe and comfortable here. I appreciate all the extra security measures present. Parking is pretty easy and the location is great. We were able to walk to many restaurants, sights, shops and events. The entire staff was very professional, friendly and attentive. There was a strange smell coming from the sink/ but I don’t know if that is due to the city water or something else.? Overall, they are doing a great job at this location.

We had breakfast and our waiter was excellent and very friendly. We’re VB locals on our way to Harborfest and wanted to start our day enjoying your beautiful Hotel as our favorite place is Catch 31 and we New a Gold Key Property would be a 5 star experience. Of course it was.

Room wasn’t ready for 2 hours after check in time. Asked for a manager he refused to come out of his office to speak with me. I finally corner him (Matt) as he’s walking around and ask why he hasn’t spoken to me as I asked for a manager 30 mins ago. His response? “It’s a big building”. I missed nearly the entire activity I came to town for. When I finally get to my room I had to call multiple times for my bags. Then I found a nasty soiled brown and yellow towel in my “clean” …bathroom. The front desk guy was courteous but the manager didn’t even apologize. “It’s a big building” and “we had a lot of people check out today” aren’t my problem. Not being able to turn over rooms before 6pm is a problem. Managers are supposed to solve problems. “Matt” the manager is the kind of guy who pours gasoline on a fire. He has no business in the hospitality industry, and I will be sure to take Hilton off my list of hotels and avoid any future conferences held at a Hilton property. I will also let the conference organizers know of my experience.

I have been to the piano bar at Varia. It's s really nice adult atmosphere you really do not feel like you are in Norfolk Virginia at all; but actually a small little supper club in New York City however the staff is overwhelmed sometimes the performers are not all that great Rajazz is the best Ensemble they have. They should ask them to be the permanent Saturday act. When you make a reservation for a booth they don't always seem to get it right, but overall for the price the atmosphere the food it's well worth it to get out the house and get together with friends.

My family and I had an amazing time. Lauren Spinelli was a great server. She made sure everything was perfect. I never once had to ask for a refill, which was amazing. I would highly recommend this place and ask for Lauren if you want an even better experience!
