Stayed for seven days friendly courteous staff! Very quiet and relaxing with no problems with anything.

We went last weekend. Had reservations in a suite. County fair, we stayed last year because of the gorgeous pool! Well this year when we arrived the pool was green! We were told safe to swim in! Keep in mind we had a third level suite. We saw them pour 5 gallons of bleach in pool. Next day worse. Bugs all in pool! Our kids went home on Sunday, we had an extra night, the pool was even worse! We could not get in disgusting! Then on Monday they of course shut pool down. But kept it open all weekend green with bugs in it. We paid premium dollar to stay there with a balcony pool view. No discount was even offered. Very disappointed as this is a yearly “vacation “ for us.

I would not recommend this location, because their bathtub was filthy. The staff was rude and the manager wasn’t any better. The room smelled like some had just been in there, the curtains had stains on them. This hotel was my favorite, and I had recommended this to my friends. I’m really upset that I had to experience this. I want the whole staff to be fired. I shouldn’t have to deal with rude employees.

Although I was unable to stay here due to a mistake on my part (reserved wrong day). The staff, Donna Carter, was super friendly and nice. She understood my situation and corrected my non-refundable room (booking) and did not charge me. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Fredricksburg.

Location was great, met all of my needs and more.

My family and I stayed one night at this Holiday Inn express. We arrived late night as a halfway pit stop for our road trip. We booked and paid for a king room and when we arrived they said there were none available. We took a double queen room instead. The water quality in our bathroom was horrible. The sink and tub spewed dirty water and air bubbles for several minutes and made us wary to brush teeth and shower. The bathtub was filled with dirt and hair clippings. The shower curtain liner was covered in mildew. We had to wait for close to 30 minutes for breakfast to be replenished so we could eat. After checkout we headed to the parking lot and at some point one of our wallets fell out of our pocket and we didn’t notice it’s was gone until a gas station stop 2.5 hours away. We realize this was our own mistake, however, we immediately called the front desk and asked them to retrace our steps as we knew it had to have been lost between the check out desk and car. I explained what happened and the woman put me hold to “search” for the wallet. In less than two minutes she came back saying it wasn’t there. We were concerned about the amount of time she “scoped the parking lot” so I called back to speak with the manager. The manager refused to go look again saying she and the other woman had already looked for the wallet. We canceled the cards and made one last ditch effort to have the wallet found by calling the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s department in hopes that it would turn up.

This was my review until I saw a roach: Love this hotel. Nice and clean, great customer service and great location closed to restaurants. Lobby will welcome you with coffee, fruits and popcorn.

Breakfast is served at a good time for my work schedule. Beds are clean. Gym is sufficient. Water pressure is great. Location is close to alot of restaurants. No complaints.

I have to give this place a 5! One of the best check in experiences I've ever had. Mona was super awesome and accommodation with a special request. They made coming in of the road for the day pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are super clean and comfortable! Will put this place on my list to come back to!

I just stayed here Sunday because my usual hotel sold out. I LOVED almost everything. The staff were awesome, friendly and easy going. The bed was the best and the room was as clean as a whistle. Microwave and fridge in room was great. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is the parking spaces are tiny and I drive a fullsize lifted truck and like to park where I can see it from my room & I wasn't crazy about being trapped in an elevator with a dog the size of a horse after being bitten in the past. There are many restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely be using this hotel on future trips back home.

Pretty good! Room was clean and comfortable, and the mattress was decent — neither too firm nor too soft. Staff were friendly, and price was decent. The pool area was ok… pool was kind of chilly but better than some other hotel swimming pools I've swum in. The breakfast was certainly better than nothing. While not the best by any stretch of the imagination, it was actually better than some other "free" hotel breakfasts we've had. Coffee was just OK, but it got the job done. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The location is very nice, right off the interstate. Check-in was very quick, and I was able to check out on my phone. Breakfast was good, although I was disappointed they didn't have cinnamon rolls. All in all, a very typical Holiday Inn Express experience.

I only stay at HIE and HI hotels. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds await you. This site is convenient to several parts of Virginia and far enough out of Richmond to avoid cite traffic. The breakfast is good and I love their coffee. I hope you enjoy it like I do!

Everything about this hotel is just simply amazing! The staff, the amenities, the cleanliness, and the atmosphere! I highly recommend staying here!

I spent time looking for a local hotel with an indoor pool to take my daughter and a few of her girlfriends to for a birthday surprise. When we checked in, I saw what appeared to be a floating pool light. Turns out it was still attached to its electrical source. The light blew. With the girls in the pool. They could have been electrocuted or hurt severely! And not one person at this hotel even apoligized! I spent almost 200.00 total for 2 rooms at this place, and the suprise bday weekend was ruined. Disappointed to say the least. I would give negative stars on this review of I could.

Staff is awesome, Katie in the breakfast section is a really nice person. Hotel is cozy, the gim is outdated and short in equipment, but a lot of dumbbells so if you know your stuff you can work with that, and then hit the treadmill. Virginia is for lovers.

Just stayed one night, but it was a good, clean room. Professional service.

Well, so far I am still waiting for my room. This is a soccer weekend, the hotel is sold out. Yet somehow the rooms for numerous (and I mean numerous) customers were not ready, even at 7:00 PM. There was barely any apology from the staff. I am still awaiting a text informing me that my room is ready. This is unacceptable service. I routinely stay in hotels (every two weeks) and also with years of travel soccer and have never had this dismal an experience.

Aside from the fact that the dates were not confirmed and there was a mistake… it was a pleasant stay. Staff is friendly and place is clean.

Jen at the desk for check in was very friendly! Love that first impression. Our room was lovely however very noisy! (Some generator or AC Unit in the roof) we tried to tough it out — but had to change rooms. This request was accommodated and we came down a floor. The breakfast in the am was ok. Eggs were not great but banana & yogurt did the trick.

Service was typical. Nothing extraordinary, but it was an enjoyable stay. Good breakfast.

Only stayed overnight but would stay here again. The room was very clean and staff was friendly. Their breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we've had. The pancake machine was broken the awesome coffee & sausage gravy more than made up for it.

The girl who checked us in was a bit snooty. She was training another girl. The rooms were typical stocked and clean. The breakfast selection was good, again the man attending the breakfast area seemed like the job was a little beneath me. My daughter enjoyed the pool. The overall hotel was nice, the staff was okay.

We drove overnight a trip that normally would take 9 hrs took 12+ due to severe weather (rain/sleet then snow/ice). Although our reservation check in wasn't until 3pm they checked us in at 9am. And offered us breakfast to boot. Employees were welcoming and rooms were neat and clean.

The Holiday inn Express in upstate Central Pennsylvania is a reasonably priced hotel. Our room was large with a small sitting area. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included. The staff was helpful and kind. Would recommend it for a short stay.

Well the toilet in the room ran all night. The staff didn't seem to concerned and didn't do anything about it. The walls could use a good cleaning. Good news Stephanie from house — keeping fixed it. Thank you.

Older property, but very clean. AC could have been colder for my taste, but worked good enough. Staff was friendly. Location is really nice, with lots of food options but also far enough from DC not to be trapped in traffic in the morning. I would stay here again.

It was clean, friendly staff, good priece and even had breakfast. I recommend it for families.

Rooms were nice. Pretty standard with all basic amenities. Kuerig in every room. Huge free breakfast. Popcorn and coffee available in lobby at all times. Indoor pool was nice but cold. Close enough to walk to several restaurants.

Decent price. Up to date furnishings. Friendly staff. Clean room and facilities (except small amount of mildew on caulk around tub) be careful with socks on bathroom floors though — Very slippery — trust me. But very happy with our stay (3 rooms, 6 adults) and would stay again.

Priceline rated the hotel 2.5 out of 5, I think 3 is more realistic. Check in was smooth, room had to be changed because toilet wouldn't flush. Room was clean and what you would expect. Breakfast was excellent. All four of us could find several things we liked. Excellent location.

Slightly disappointed with our stay here. We came down to check in at 3pm for a 430pm wedding. While waiting to check in I heard the front desk tell someone their room wasn't ready but had a room they could at least get ready in. Hearing this I fully expected they would tell us the same thing but when I walked up she checked us in and didn't tell us anything about not having a room for us yet. She asked how many keys etc so I figured they had our room ready. Come to find out …we were headed to the same room as the other wedding guests to get ready and then had to bring our bags back down to get our room after the wedding. I understand things happen, I work in the hospitality industry. I am more disappointed with the fact that the front desk was unapologetic about it and didn't explain the scenario at all. We ended up getting a room after the wedding and it's a fine room. While I don't mind having a room to at least get ready — we do appreciate it — not having that explained to you and not apologizing at all for the inconvenience is frustrating.

A fairly good hotel with courteous and helpful staff. The breakfast was reasonably good. I think I will stay here again.

We stayed there last night. Rooms were great and well furnished and maintained. My qualms involved breakfast which was not good — flabby bacon, no potatoes, water juice, and powdered eggs. I also didn't receive a receipt and had a few problems at check-in. Seems to have a new staff.

Is it wrong to want to live at the Holiday Inn Express at Sothpoint in Fredericksburg, Virginia? This morning when I woke from a good nights sleep without aches and pains. I was so relaxed and the longer I laid in bed the more relaxed I became. I was considering stretching my stay here another night when the aroma of coffee wafted through the air from downstairs. The room is Not scented, the tub area is mold free, and the furnishings are lovely. Electric plugs for charging devices are on the lamps. A microwave, a refrigerator and a TV with a sleep timer round out the room. It would be perfect if CNN was commercial free. At breakfast I was greeted by a friendly staff member asking how I was. Opting to eat breakfast on the patio, birds are chirping In the nearby trees while I write this and enjoy my eggs and cereal. The hot cinnamon buns and pancakes were hard to resist. Yes I'll stay another night.

Nice recently renovated place. They allowed early check in which was very helpful. Centrally located.

Hotel was not as nice as the pictures I was overcharged for my room and every time I've tried calling no one answers I had a late check out and I guess room service wasn't informed and they tried to come in twice while I was in the shower and I got bites on my arm from what I would guess would be bed bugs.

The service at the hotel was great, the room was nice and clean, relatively large bathroom even though it was a king bedroom, and the gym was nice as well, forgot bathing suit but next time will probably take a swim the pool looked nice.

Rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff was professional and courteous.

I just called this hotel at 9:50 on 8/21 and the lady who answered the phone, I believe her name was Lara, was extremely rude. She hung up on me when I was asking questions about a reservation I wanted to book because it was "too messy". As a fellow IHG employee, I am embarrassed to work for the same company as some one like her. Even if she did not hang up on me, I would not have stayed there just because of how incredibly rude she was. I will remember this in the future and not stay there specifically because of the conversation I just had. Your GM should talk with her about phone etiquette.

This Holiday Inn Express in Fredericksburg Virginia Southpoint, in my opinion, wasn't the best choice. Here are my reasons: The hotel is very new, and since it was being renovated, some parts where "off limits" Rooms are extremely small Beds are small Bathrooms we're clean Breakfast area was small due to the renovations Price was $113 (too expensive) In a pretty good area near I-95! If you're a frequent traveler like me, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a week and would definitely come back again. Beautiful hotel. All new furniture in the room. Flat screen TV, microwave, and nice little fridge too. Great staff, they really bend over backwards for you if you treat them right.
