The Hotel it's self was not bad. The room I stayed in had a really warped floor, but felt solid. The gentleman working the night desk (I do not recall his name and do not have the paper in front of me at this moment) was absolutely wonderful and helpful. The room seemed clean, but walking in bare-feet the carpet felt sort of grungy, but that might have just been the texture. I would totally give this place 5 stars, if I could, had it not been for the general manager, the only reason I gave it 3 is because of the staff that were there at the time. After a 800 mile drive the place My teenage son & I were suppose to stay would not accept the coupon code I had applied for online. The general manager is an acquaintance, and her mother insisted I call and ask her for assistance. I did not want to stay in Tacoma, but after refusing twice I looked at my son and knew it was our only option. She had 2 rooms set for us and we made the trek from Olympia to Tacoma. The first night was fine, everyone was friendly and we were able to get a good nights rest. The second night however I received a call just after 11 pm. It was the general manager who had decided to call and berate me for approximately 20 minutes on the phone. Threatening to kick us out with no refund. We had done nothing to warrant this, no noise no disruptions.

Me personally I enjoyed it, nice room, good customer service, great breakfast. Nice big deep pool that goes all the way to 8 feet! I love it and shout out to mr Ryan at the front desk he's a cool guy.

Great place to stay when you're in Tacoma. Good breakfast close to the highway Close to shopping and Hooters next door. Decent size rooms comfortable beds good way a wake up in the morning.

Great Hotel if you don't like sleeping. Seemed nice at first until you realize you can hear every footstep and slamming door echoing through your room. This place is slightly better than sleeping in your car in a Walmart parking lot.

Rooms were ok, breakfast ok, no problems. The building seemed strangely like a facility like a nursing home or something so it didn't feel very cozy, but nothing really wrong. Very nice staff!

Family friendly! Was Days Inn before. Use to be pretty ghetto! Now that Clarion took over, there's a new crowd. Price is bumped up yet still affordable. Pillows are actually fluffy! The doors slam quite loud! And people in the hallways talk pretty loud. There's a tiny gym. But BREAKFAST is not disappointing! Fruits, yogurt, pastries, bacon, sausages, waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk, juice and a very nice eating area!

Although they have done some upgrades the room still smelled like old smoke. The breakfast was pretty much nonexistent. There was no coffee, no bowls, no waffle mix, etc. It was being managed by one very slow overwhelmed lady. The breakfast bar was a complete disaster. The front desk staff was quick to process you and move on. There was no interaction of small talk. There were dead flowers on the front desk in a water pitcher from the kitchen. Not staying there again.

A decent hotel. Clean room, quiet and great location near the i5 and the Tacoma mall. It offers got breakfast every morning which is really nice. It looks like it has been recently renovated. The price was hey reasonable for what you get. Totally recommend it.

Rating would’ve been higher except for: noisy air conditioner and shower curtain rod mid-installed. Seriously. You essentially wear the curtain while showering. Fix those issues and it’s a nice place.

Awesome place to stay! Loved the breakfast buffet and the location!

Comfortable bed and I've gone back about a dozen times traveling for work. The rooms are decent, although there are flaws like a sink fixture that it super crooked. It seemed clean and I slept well though. The location is also good as it's next to home depot and restaurants.

Nice place. Good breakfast options, friendly staff. Only negative is no elevator to 2nd floor. But was able to get on 1st floor thanks to nice front desk guy!

I paid this location about $2000.00 for a longer than average stay only to come back from work one day an find all of my belongings in bags at the front desk. The staff or manager made zero attempt to contact me and inform me that they could no longer offer me the room. The free breakfast is solid quality and the facilities are about average. The hot water runs out pretty quickly during busier days. My low rating comes purely from poor customer service.

Such a nice Hotel/Motel compared to the others around the area. Nice and friendly staff.

This is one of the best place to stay in. While visiting Tacoma WA. Not to far from freeway. Nice places to eat. Breakfast is real nice. Nice TV channels. Nice beds nice rooms.! Just a all rite place to be its cool.

The free breakfast was great. The water from the tub/shower ran brown for 10 minutes. The heat pump in the room was super outdated and took forever to heat the room. The room smelled of mildew and cigarettes. The front desk lady the night we checked in was nasty mean and unprofessional. But the one who checked us out was very nice.

Staff was nice, normal breakfast, filtered water in lobby, decent AC control. Decent digital cable.

The room has most definitely seen better days. The Bathroom door looked like it had been breached and the ciggerette burn on the tub caught my eye. The price of the room @ $125 and change most certainly didn't reflect upon the room. Disappointing…

Hotel was clean and the updated rooms looked very nice. I took away one star because our room was not ready until nearly 5pm (check in was 3pm). Some of the other guests were blasting music, but that is not the hotels fault. The breakfast was good and they kept it well-stocked.

I asked for a non-smoking quiet room and was very pleased with what I got. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable! I called the front desk after my stay to inquire about what kind of pillows they use but was asked to call back because the general manager wasn't available at the time. I tried twice but no one picked up. I'm really hoping for a response to this review so I can get this information!

The hotel is right on the freeway. Therefore, the noise level is very high even for us conditions. The walls are very thin. You hear a lot of your neighbors at night.
They equipment is good for the price level. The offer of breakfast buffet is also good. Noteworthy is the porcelain tableware and the metal cutlery.
In total: OK for one night. Longer stays are not recommended.

Nice quiet location. Pillows are very thin — wish I'd bright my own. But very clean room, friendly staff, old building in reasonable shape. Great value.

If your looking for a place to party then this is it, but if you have your family, pay a little extra and go elsewhere! I'm only giving two stars because of the pool and large room. Other than that I would not recommend! Me, my husband, and our 10 month old traveled here from Florida and are awaiting for an apartment, we've stayed in several hotels Over the past few weeks and this one is on our list with the other cappy hotels, which is a very few with the days Inn in lacey included. We booked this online and paid upon arrival, the lady was friendly and we had no problem. When I came down to book one more night the gentleman working said I have to give a 60$ cash deposit because my bank card, which I just got, didn't have my name on it, my problem Is why didn't they require that when I first checked in? That's not it, the walls are nasty, had dried up food on them, the pillows stunk, the blankets had burn marks, the sheets were stained, and when I ask housekeeping to change my bedding, she acted like it was a big deal, questioning me why, really? This is your job! I am almost positive they don't ever change the blanket on top because of the smell it had. Now, the people's that hang around, the halls smell like marijuana, yes it's legal, but if it's OK to do it here, then don't make it a family friendly hotel cause I definitely don't want my child inhaling it!

We stayed here one night and a large group of rowdy bikers made a bit of a fuss and revved engines outside of our room throughout the night. However, that is not the fault of the hotel and I learned those folks were asked to not return after altercations took place in the parking lot. The building is in the middle of being upgraded and remodeled so parts of it are nice and other parts are dated. Due to the excellent customer service of two young men at the front desk, we returned for another stay later in the week. The girl at the desk was ok, but not the personification of hospitality I had experienced before. Everything went well until about 8:30 the next morning when construction crews began working on the outside facade of the room next to ours. This woke up my entire family (husband+3tired traveling kiddos). I spoke to Sarah, the manager, and she discounted our bill by half. I will probably not return to this location until construction is completed. Hopefully the prices don't go up upon completion as I really like their summer rate of $85 for two queens.

Entrance was nice, they are in the middle of renovations. The rooms were big but dated and stains noticeable on the walls and shower curtain. The pillows weren't great, lumpy as if they have been washed many times and the towels were old, small and scratchy. The continental breakfast was a little lacking as well. However staff were kind and welcoming.

We too have stayed in a lot of hotels as we travel. This one I would not recommend… currently under some sort of remodel… front desk is a make shift. The person at the door/office was too busy trying to impress the three guys ahead of us that proved to be very unprofessional. The pool is green with algae… some story about the health department not doing the inspection… that's not the way it works… you clean and treat the pool then call the health dept. To inspect… Pretty disgusting considering it is 85 + degrees out side. Loud music in the parking lot. Rattles the Windows. The TV is old and most channels you are not authorized to use… unless you like music channels… could use a serious makeover… for a few dollars more there are many to choose from in the area.

Nice clean and spacious room. Breakfast existed. Front desk staff wasn't friendly but wasn't rude either. There weren't any drug deals going on or hookers in the parking lot like some other hotels in the area (looking at you Crossland Economy Studios). Overall a decent stay.

I've stayed in a LOT of hotels, Daysinn in particular, all over the country and this one was by far the most disgusting. When we opened the door to the hotel, a wave of fumigated stench wafted through the air, almost as if to cover up something else. Dead bodies, perhaps? I don't know bc we were afraid to look under the beds. The floors were so filthy, I didn't want my dog to sleep on it and get dirty. The chained deadbolt had been snapped in half and splintered along the wall as if someone had broken in. Finally, a 2inch long spider greeted us; it's home a water damaged wall straight out of a horror movie. Never again.

Not a pleasant experience. The rooms were filthy. Half the lights in our room didn't work. Floors were so dirty that our feet were black after only walking around a little bit in our room. TV was about 20 years old with horrible picture quality. Towels were like scratchy rags. Continental breakfast was stale muffins and bland cereal. Fitness room equipment was extremely outdated. Will not be staying here again.

Nice and friendly staff, quiet area, cheapest pet fees. Great discounts as well.

Was a cool place, not the grandest but did get the job done.

My rating of one star is based on three aspects of decent service in which I felt this hotel was lacking: 1) Cleanliness; Despite the prominently noted no-smoking policy, the entire hotel reeked of old shorts and blunts, not to mention mold. Odd brownish stains pockmarked the bathroom. 2) Atmosphere; Come Friday night, low-level pandemonium erupted in the hotel common areas, with toddlers running free on the central staircase, and a couple of thirty-something men just chilling right outside my room and refusing to move along when asked nicely (complete with a "God bless you too sir! " guilt trip). I learned from the receptionist that these were all residents (as in, permanent) of the Days Inn. While I realize that people fall on hard times with credit and background checks and are sometimes forced to live in hotels, based on experience I prefer not to stay in hotels where half the guests live there full-time. 3) Service; Speaking of the front desk, I was blown away by the utter lack of accountability and initiative on the part of virtually all employees (save the cleaning staff in their thankless toil). I've stayed in even cheaper dives and received much more courteous service than this. Virtually every request and complaint was met with resistance. Choice examples: "So what do you want me to do about it? " "It's really late for this. " "I don't like your tone.

Pleasantly Surprised! My room, was clean, no smells and the bed was comfortable… I have a bad back n hip issues. Staff was nice, loved the older gentlemen who worked the night shift. Breakfast was very basic but existed. Check in n out was fast n easy. Military price was great!

Ok room if a little beat up but a very shifty location. Might stay here again if travelling for business but would avoid as a leisure location.

Good value for what it is. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Complementary breakfast was nothing special, but you can't complain at this price. Would stay again.

I have no idea how this hotel managed it's rating. I travel for work all the time and my standard are pretty low, but this place was horrible. The room was dirty and smelly with the exception of the bathroom. The whole building reeked of cigarettes (and I'm a smoker), there were literally dozens of holes on the sheets, stains on the carpets in and outside of the room and the outside doors are not numbered nor are they usable as entry doors (probably too cheap to install the key systems). If all that wasn't enough, there were people coming and going all night and most of the other guests looked like transients. Surely there is someplace better in the same price range in Tacoma, stay there, this place is terrible.

It was at a convenient location which is why we stopped. The price wasn't bad but I can tell you for certain if it was for more than the one night we stayed I would have lost my mind. This is an old hotel in desperate need of a remodel. No flat screens, no polite customer service of any kind, no looks on exterior doors, no security of any kind visible. Lots and lots of shady characters and a stench of ammonia, paint, and weed all day and night! The breakfast was nothing more than toast or muffin or bagel and orange/apple juice and coffee. Was not even any fruit available when we went at 8am! If you have any other options before this hotel I would take them!

The young women at the front desk very friendly and very helpful and all the other staff very friendly. Nice and clean threw out the whole hotel. Will definitely suggest it to anyone looking for a nice place around the Tacoma area.
