Very clean room, big tv, nice view of Rice and city, but need better complimentary coffee in the room. Also need a disclaimer on the parking fee and the $50.00 dollars deposit fee.

Was there for a networking event, it was very nice.

The staff at this location is amazing. We have had to travel to Houston over the past year more than we care to remember. We've spent more than 100 nights at this location. The staff always greets us with the warmest welcome and smiles. They are the bright spot in our every trip. They are kind, caring, helpful, and attentive to our every need.

Avoid this place like the plague! It is the worst Hilton I’ve ever encountered. My room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The tub would not drain. The staff did come fix this, but I think it is an ongoing problem as the paint was peeling from the tub. We checked out as soon as we found better accommodations. We went down to the front desk, checked out, asked for emailed receipts and left. After noticing that the receipts never came, we stopped back by the hotel to ask for them again. That is when we learned that the staff member never completed our checkout and we were being continuously billed for a room we properly checked out of days before. After going through several lines of customer service, I am being told that no one will be able to look into this for 48-72 hours. Ridiculous! Choose the Westin or Marriott, which are both nearby if you value cleanliness and competence.

Hotel is nasty for the price. My sink drain is broken so the water is just sitting in there. Stains on the pillow cases and sheets. The TVs are quite outdated and go in and out. Also, you have to ask for a key to use the bathroom in the lobby and in the women’s one stall is out of order and the other, the door is all messed up and doesn’t lock. It’s falling off so it holds it closed but no way to lock.

I love the keyless entry to rooms option… the App is amazing.

Although this is an older property and has some older property problems It is more than made up for by the staff. They are friendly, efficient, helpful and truly caring. We have been here every weekend for 20 weeks for chemo and they have gone above and beyond to make the experience as painless as possible. At Christmas they went way above and beyond to make out stay festive and happy despite Christmas day chemo. I will stay here anytime I'm in Houston because of this staff!

We are just starting my wife’s adventure but so far the staff has been wonderful to work with.

Not happy when we showed up this place is under construction. We asked places to eat and they recommended their place. Which mind you was right across from the check in which was under construction. Plus the bell boy looked like he was a worker and dirty. And came to get our bags. Room is nice but amminties lacks.

Just checked in today and this place is horrible. From a front desk clerk that has horrible customer service skills, and whom lied to our face repeatedly, to their hotel being under renovation, I was definitely not impressed and will not be coming back if this is how they treat their guests upon arrival.

Not what advertisements said it was going to be. The pool is small very crowded. The food in the restaurant not good at all. The bar on the rooftop pool which is actually on the 9th floor had better food. The drinks are sooo strong they are nasty. No vending machines inside other than 2 coke machine and one was not even working. You also have to pay to park your own car. Very over price at 270.00 a night with only about 10 basic cable stations. Save your money going to another hotel that the air might actually work also. Never again!

As a Travel Agent, I like to acknowledge great service… This was a great stay from the front desk, The Bar staff, and etc, Everything was great, The hotel is nice and currently undergoing renovations… Nikkk Redman at the front desk was very nice due to my flight leaving later, Shewas a big help with a late checkout. Everyone was so kind and I reccomend this property if you are ever in the Houston area.

My daughter had appointments today and they all went smoothly the staff were friendly and attentive.

I will never forget the front desk staff, Shamrock bar staff and the shuttle drivers keeping me safe and sane during the darkest time of my life and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

Staff was very friendly, room was nicely updated and clean. Great location if you have any business at the medical center. My only complaint involves the air conditioning — it works well but sounded like a jet taking off in your room when it starts up. Perhaps it was only my room that was affected (1107), I did not bother to ask for a change. Overall I would stay here again.

Parking costs $15 and is charged to your room. Checking in was interesting. The clerk was great, friendly. Got us a key and set up quickly. Went up to our floor to our room and walked in on a room full of luggage and food, which was extremely awkward. We went back and were given a new room and key. She didn't seem to concerned about her mistake. The hotel itself is mostly nice. One elevator was being cleanes so 19 floors with 1 elevator was tedious. The hallway on our floor seemed bad. The room was great though, comfy bed, clean. Ordered room service late. Dessert was worth it.

Nasty dining room server named Francisco. I arrived at the dining room at 10:03. I spoke to Francisco who told me I was too late for guest breakfast. However all of the food was still on the buffet tables. I told him I was working a seminar on the 8th floor and rushed to get there. Oddly as I was walking out a white couple came up and he took them. Yes I am African American and staying at the hotel. I had to walk out of the hotel to a burger king. When I got back to the hotel Francisco was breaking down the buffet tables. Can you guess what I am telling the people I work for?

Even during a remodel they have wonderful service and beautiful rooms. We stayed when there was a large conference in town and so it was extra chaotic but all the employees were so kind! The rooms were very nice! It was a perfect location for us too!

Mixed experience. The room was large and somewhat updated. Majority of staff (valets, bellhop, restaurant employees, maids and most of front staff) were friendly and helpful. The 3 is a result of the terrible phone etiquette and way phone request were received. When one would call down, it would take an unreasonable amount of time before request were fulfilled. When calling down for updates a patient tone was received with sarcasm and reminders of how many guest there are. For example: we called down for linens for our children upon returning around 7pm. We ate supper, bathed our children, got them ready for bed, readied ourselves and even watched one complete cartoon before calling to follow up. At this point it was 9:30 which was past their bedtime. I was told that I needed to be patient and that they’d had “like 5 other rooms call” for linens. I understand busy but if it’s going to take 2 1/2 hours the option to retrieve yourself or at very least an apology and a FRIENDLY update should be provided. This was service all but once when we called down (for car, for bellhop, for room service).

The staff was amazing! The call center had my family of 4 (1 infant & 13 yr old, me & hubby) booked into a conference room suite! Yep that means a bedroom with a conference room living room! No extra pull out sofa, even after I explained what we needed repeatedly on the phone. Thankfully when we arrived they were able to easily switch us around & the tom was beautiful. Restaurant had excellent food & a nice breakfast buffet. However for the price on their steaks for dinner I expected them to be thicker, but it was still delicious. Overall a great weekend trip to go to the museum & zoo! Oh they also have a shuttle service to those places which was so nice!

This is a nice hotel centrally located in the medical center. Parking lot. Large rooms very comfortable. Doing renovations while I was here a little inconvenient. Nice lobby with reasonable restaurant and room service until 11pm. Free water on arrival. Breakfast is served in the morning. Comfortable. Nothing special but better than most. It is a Hilton and that says a lot.

Great location, beautiful property, the room I had was a 2 room suite and it was HUGE! Only complaint is I had a room with a pool view and I would pick the other side view next time. You’re facing another building and the pool is between the two buildings.

This is a very noteworthy hotel in a remarkable part of Houston. What is especially cool about the hotel is the plethora of international staff working at the front desk, the restaurant, and throughout the hotel. We love staying here.

There was a problem with the reservation and the elevators did not work.

I'm in Houston, as a patient in the medical park. This is where I choose to stay because it is quiet from the air and ambulance traffic going into the various hospitals. The employees are long-term and very pleasant, accommodating, and caring. The shuttle is convenient and timely. The only negative, the gift shop is not open to purchase items, snacks, or drinks.

The beds were a liiiitle small, but incredibly comfy. Super clean, almost like a little home. Staff was super nice and welcoming. There was a cute little bar in the corner. I had a pretty good time.

The hotel itself is in good shape, clean, and seems well cared for. There was construction going on during our visit, so they appear to maintain the property. The staff at the front desk were not very courteous. As an example, I struggled to get bags into the hotel while pushing a wheelchair, but there was no bellhop in sight, nor was one offered. And when asking questions or to schedule the shuttle the staff was curt and showed little respect. However, the shuttle drivers were professional and courteous. We were always mindful to give gratuity, and be thankful, so they remembered us, so we might have had the benefit of familiarity. The servicing of our room was very good. We spent a lot of time in our room between medical appointments, which sometimes were days apart. On several occasions we left only long enough for a good meal, and returned to a freshly cleaned room. The internet was horrid. It kept dropping out on us. One of their access points was bad, and we had to make sure we connected to a specific one to even get shoddy connection. The hard wired network ports were not active. The restaurant on site was exceptional, and had some of the best food we enjoyed on our trip. Altogether, I think the stay was pleasant enough, but it wasn't good enough that we plan to stay here as a first choice on our next trip.

Great rooms. Nice view of the Rice University baseball field. However there was a lot of construction and sleeping in was not an option.

Beds are too soft. They finally changed my room because of an ongoing AC issue. AC wouldn't work and after being fixed wouldn't shut off.

The Houston Hilton Plaza/Medical Center is easy to get to. Parking is adequate and the staff is exceptional. Even though we arrived very early for the event, they made sure we were comfortable and accommodated us accordingly.

Rooms are small and hallways are dated and in need of paint (though they are apparently renovating). The bed is comfortable, but they nickel and dime you to death. Parking is expensive, the food in the restaurant is overpriced and pretty terrible, and the gift shop is ridiculous. The rooms have refrigerators, but no microwave. For the most part, the staff was very nice and some even went out of their way to give amazing customer service, but we encountered one front desk person who was rude for absolutely no reason and the gift shop attendant couldn't be bothered to get off her phone. My advice — for the price, this is definitely not worth it.

This experience at a HILTON probably turned me away from staying at Hilton’s next year and switch to Marriott. A lot of construction, didn’t say the fitness center was closed on the website, water wasn’t draining properly, alarms goin off at like 3/4 in the morning, etc.

Mildew on sink. No microwaves. Hair in bathroom upon check in. Paper thin walls and doors, which upon complaint, front desk recommended resolution was to put towel under adjoining room door. Lots of adjoining rooms. Both nights I could hear next door neighbors entire conversations. I recommend staying elsewhere unless you absolutely have to stay here. Hotel currently under construction, which you don't know about until you get to front desk.

I stay here because of the amazing people. Yes, the hotel is under construction. But it is still nice. The food is absolutely wonderful. I dined elsewhere one night and regretted it, because it didn't match the quality of the hotel's food. I am a MDA patient, and need rest. The construction did not interrupt my rest at all. I would rather stay here than anywhere else when I go to Houston. Everyone, and I mean everyone, that I interact with at this hotel goes above and beyond to help guests. I hope management and ownership keeps the staff happy, because they are a very special, caring group of people.

Very helpful staff. My room was excellent. The restaurant prepared me several delicious meals including breakfast and dinner. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Good price for a room immediately after Thanksgiving. Location is ok but mostly good if you're visiting the medical center. Beds comfortable, rooms big, quiet, etc. Parking garage is not bad. Service was good. I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. I've had apartments smaller than the suite. Good location relative to hospital, but not much food in walking distance. Neighborhood is a little sketchy.

Good facilities, very friendly staff, clean and quiet room. It would have been nice if the restaurant stayed open longer. We came down at 1015 am on a Sunday to find the restaurant had closed for breakfast and wouldn't open till 1130 for lunch. The only option was to drive somewhere as there is nothing within an easy walk. Also, it would be nice if there were some luggage carts in the lobby for guests to use. We had to wait for a bellman, who did come quickly.

Renovations are ongoing, with some degree of associated construction noise. Nice amenities, good bed and plenty of fluffy pillows. The shower plunger was hidden in the faucet, and no place to put your towel before and after your shower. The shower had good pressure and nice hot water. I would stay again, but would like to see usage improvements. The only place to put make up on is in the bathroom, which is invonvenieny if someone else is using it.

Nice hotel. Great location. Free area shuttle. Room service and restaurant a little expensive but convenient and tasty. Love the extra half bath in our suite. Furnishings, decor and fixtures are a little dated but all were clean and fully functional. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location just a couple blocks from the hospitals. Easy to walk from the hospitals if you don't mind walking around the building. Nice to note that parking garage gives you in and out privileges. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. The bacon, cheese, mushroom, and avocado omelette was amazing.

It was not child friendly, had guys taking semi porn pictures of young "models" at the pool. Buffet breakfast stunk for $15.00 a person. No body at desk cared about pics when I complained. No microwave in room, room was dirty. Won't ever stay there again.

This little gem is tucked away in a quiet corner of the Medical Center. Is an older hotel that still has classic charm complete with a powder room in the king suites. The beds are extremely comfortable and the view on the Rice University side is quite nice. You might even catch a game or track meet in the spring time. The parking garage is a tight squeeze but ample spaces and costs $12/night. The restaurant serves good food but is pricey as hotel restaurants tend to be… $6 for oatmeal. But the surrounding area has tons of nice places to eat for every taste. The really nice thing is that the Medical Center hospitals are all right down the street and the hotel provides a shuttle. Local attractions like the Galleria and the museums are close by and easy to get to. The train is also a viable way to get around town. My husband and I have stayed here twice just because and we highly recommend this hotel!

I had a suite-style room with 2 full-sized beds. The staff was nice and the rooms decent but obviously not brand new. Still, I appreciated the accomodations, though I was a little intrigued to find that there was no microwave within the suite. Parking is garage only, and it is a separate fee. Not a hotel really for the budget, but certainly a nice place to stay for a couple of days if you don't mind paying extra.

Excellent customer service. Rooms were clean and well appointed but overall the facility definitely shows some wear. Biggest miss was with the food. Overall, significant improvement is needed.

Room was amazing. However, being military, I was a bit irked about them having their American flag up at night without lighting. Just poor form.

Lovely massive and very comfortable rooms. The breakfast isn't the greatest but provides options. There's also a pool, but not maintained. Staff are brilliant and friendly. Great location in regards to transport and activities.

I went for lunch the food is really good. Everything I've ordered has been wonderful, everything looks good and taste great. The service and the staff are even better. Never await, service is fast and the staff are very friendly. I look forward to going to the hilton for lunch, especially during a busy day.

This Hilton does not live up to the Hilton brand. The rooms are clean but needs renovation desperately. The carpets are ripping out of the floor in the halls and the decor is generally outdated. Like many of the guests, we were staying long term to do medical treatments in the area. The phones stopped working and the hotel made no attempt to notify people. We could not get ahold of the shuttle to pick us up from surgery, so we had to take a cab. Front desk did nothing and would not even post a sign so that other guests might not be stranded at the hospital as well. After calling corporate, the manager did end up giving us free breakfast. When we went down to get the free breakfast, the hostess yelled at us because they were full. Right where the concierge could see, and the woman just laughed it off. We got packages from friends and family that were only delivered after 4 days when I asked for them. I had to go back multiple times when they did not find the packages the first time. The coffee maker never worked, and when we asked for a new one we were told ok but it never happened. The management of this Hilton is so terrible. They are friendly, and apologize but never take action to fix any issue. We are under a lot of stress dealing with cancer already, we didn't need the hotel to be a cancer too. Ended up checking out early and leaving for better accommodations that were worth the price.

We stayed here and as stated in another review, we had multiple attempts of staff trying to enter our room. To make a long story short, someone came in and stole $500 from our safe. Of course the camera only shows multiple staff members going and coming. Seems only one housekeeper needs to enter, but there's the house keeper, then the supervisor, them the housekeeper again. The General manager never contacted us and even told staff not to give us any information because we called the police. I called corporate Hilton, they took my info andsI never heard from them again. So we stole our own money? It's pretty obvious to me the staff did it. And miraculously the safe never worked again. The Houston police topok our info over the phone didn't even bother to come. It's this kind of dishonesty and lack of accountability that bothers me. I have stayef in Hilton brand hotels solely for the past 15 yeasts. Never again. I know and the GM knows someone on his staff stole the money, but it's easier to ignore the problem.

The Hilton by the medical center in Houston is nicely located within the Medical Center and a quick walk to Rice. It's also near the metro station for easy access to downtown. The staff is super nice and helpful and helped with early check in and holding our bags as well as giving suggestions for the area. Breakfast was nice but pricey if not included and didn't have a huge selection. It's mostly cereal, a few hot items and coffee. The rooms are immense with two rooms and space for an entire family. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi were great and definitely appreciated in this incredibly humid town.
