3* Star Hotels in Galveston

We have been here for three months while my husband managed a construction project in the area. It has flown by…. I have not missed being home for a minute. All the staff is so friendly as well as professional. A huge shout out to Shelley, Melody, Jerry and the others. Karina in housekeeping went above and beyond. She is meticulous in her cleaning — the BEST ever👍🏻 I am indeed spoiled. I walked on the beach every day. It’s right across the street and too many restaurants to visit.

Overall it was a good place to stay. Expected wear and tear due to proximity of the ocean (right across the street). No bed bugs. There were a few other insects (that came from outside? — we are from NW so not familiar with all bugs), but we just kept food in the fridge so it wasn't a big deal. Nice smoking area. Good swimming pool.

Do not judge a book by its cover! It was nice the front desk allowed us to check in early thank God the drive was long and we were tired. The room was fitting for the night, the view was lovely; beachfront view. We didn't stay for breakfast but we did see they had cereal, fruit and coffee. Will stay again if in town. Thank you again Red Roof INN.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Right on the beach. Bars and restaurants close by. Ideal location.

What a wonderful place. From the moment we arrived on property and were greeted by the front desk we felt welcome. The room was immaculate and the price we paid for the room more than saved enough money for a nice dinner out for us. We just cannot say enough about the Beachcomber and will be returning there next time we visit Galveston.

Nice location, within walking distance to the beach. The people at the front desk were friendly. Had on-site washing machine/ dryer that was convenient. Also, was close to a grocery store and a few fast food restraurants. Room was clean, would definitely stay here again.

Loved every second of our stay. Our host was amazing, the history of the house is wonderful. We were visiting for our honeymoon. She was helpful and always had the best recommendations. And we cannot wait to visit again.

It is a beautiful home. Joellyn is the perfect hostess and her waffles are amazing!

Staff was great, extra towels & pillows in the room we got. We reserved a room with a king bed & beach view but got 2 double beds instead for the same price because they ran out. Which was fine no problem there, front desk lady gave coupons and was very helpful. Got food delivered because some places around here weren't so pleasant with minority's. Big rooms, balcony view is amazing you can see beach & pleasure peer. I can say I really love this place & I'll be staying here often.

Nice place, especially for just an overnight stay. We arrived a little earlier than they were expecting us, but they were able to accommodate us to the best of their abilities. When we went up to our rooms, only one bed was made, but the maid was very sweet and friendly and hurried to finish our room for us. We felt bad because we arrived early. The breakfast was a little disappointing. Overall I nice a little place right across from the beach and next to a Jimmy John's.

The front seat service and hospitality were excellent. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good variety. I wasn’t excited this much. Definitely come back!

The fire alarm sounded for 2 hours, starting at midnight, due to a faulty indicator, the staff said. The staff also said it is not the first time. My King room with a view, turned out to be a 1st floor room with a view to the back parking lot.
Be I would recommend a stay here though they need to upgrade the furniture… a lot of scratches and dents.

The rooms are very clean and spacious love the balcony with the ocean view had a great time with my family there.

Fast friendly service, Everyone has been so nice, The rooms are so spacious and it's literally next to the ocean love it will definitely come back.

They had hot breakfast and the employees was very nice we got to see the beach out of our balcony room it was very relaxing.

We always stay at the Hilton on Seawall but do to a higher price increase we decided to try the Homewood Suites. We really liked the spacious rooms (bigger then the Hilton) Very impressed with the whole place. We are changing our hotel in Destin, FL to the Homewood Suites.

Very nice rooms. Clean and spacious. We had great view of Gulf from our room. The lady working at front desk had to multi task. She was all on her own with phone ringing and handling the guests with a smile and sense of humor.

The only thing I did not like is that in the pool there is no entrance for people with disabilities.

My family and I loved it. They had a pool and miniature golf course on the property. Rooms were very clean, comfortable, and had an island feel. We stayed in room 201 upstairs but it was still great. It was between a grab and go and Continental breakfast. We stay 5 nights. During the week Monday thru Thursday they have cereal, danishes, bagels, mini kolaches, milk, coffee, 4 different juices, yogurt, and apples.

My family and I just spent the past week at gaidos and it was amazing! Friendly staff, delicious food, amazing pool, and a spectacular view! Can’t wait to come back again ❤️

Stayed here this past weekend with my family. The room was clean even though we spent almost no time in there. We were too busy enjoying the beautiful pool, hot tub, cold drinks and delicious food with the ocean waves crashing across the street. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and their breakfast had so many options. We had a blast and will definitely come back!

This hotel is a perfect location from the beach, room was nice and clean! When the guest service came the second day they sort of half cleaned the room. Other than that hotel was great! Dog friendly was a Plus.

Awesome experience and great hotel to stay in. I'm doing an overnight stay for a deep sea fishing trip with my boy and chose this hotel. I checked in with very friendly staff working and got a huge, very clean suite overlooking the ocean. I've been a La Quinta rewards member for over 10 years and can say it is very well worth it. I would stay at this hotel again! On a side note, I read previous reviews before I chose this hotel and didn't experience the negative things mentioned.
