Comfortable place and very clean.

Had a great time. Close to. The beach.

You walk in, the front desk is unwelcoming. The host is unfriendly. When a hotel lacks certain “aspects”, commodities, customer service should make up for it. Next, the walk up to the room. As you walk past the front desk, a “ dirty old carpet smell” hits you. We were in the second floor, room 226. The room smelled like someone urine. As I began Examining the room I noticed something completely unacceptable. Bloody finger prints on the sheets! I immediately called front desk, a lady came up to the room and dismissed my concern by just saying “ oh it looks like it’s stained. I told her to take them immediately. (no one came to replace them). There were crumbs by the table, black stains on restroom floor, mini fridge does not cool, the bed skirts are brown so all the white stains stand out. Furniture was dusty. Because of Covid 19 I would think they would change out the toilet paper, tissue paper before the next guest but noooo. Stains on the top inside of the microwave. Paint peeling inside restroom shower. Absolutely disappointed in this experience.

We have been a regular here since the pre-opening before construction was completed. Rooms are larger, clean and comfortable. Staff always friendly and helpful. — w Baymont Inn & Suites Galveston.

This waa our first stay in this hotel on the island. We were pleasantly surprised the rooms were so nice for what we paid for. We had reserved 2 rooms but then had to get one more room when our youngest daughter decided last minute to come to the island. We had no issues with the front desk. We will stay again next time we visit and stay overnight.

I have stayed here many times. We always search for the best bang for the buck and end up here because its reasonable price. Its clean, the breakfast is great, the help is polite. Take earplugs for everyone in case your neighbor is doing aerobics or the kids are running around like rodents, but you cannot blame the hotel for the guests. All you can do is hope they go to bed eventually or try to get moved to a quieter room. Like going to the movies, I seem to always have that inconsiderate @ss right next to me. I ate breakfast at 6 am and it was open ready to go. Its a great solution for a weekend vacation to go play at the beach or go to moody gardens. The state park beach is worth the 5 bucks and golden coral is a nice place to feed the crew after being beat down by the sun all day.

Room was decent for the price. The pillows were not very comfortable, we even had more pillows brought up, and the a/c also did not keep the room very cold. Had to wait a couple hours for it to cool the room down.

We have stayed here a couple of times while in Galveston, and we are never disappointed. The front desk is always great and the hospitality staff is always very friendly and helpful. The only reason I never rate it 5 stars is that the breakfast ends at 9 instead of 10 like most other hotels/motels. Other than that it would be an overall 5 in everything else.

No ATM on property. No area to buy things forgotten. Sodas are $2.50 from the machine. No towels in the pool area. Not quite what I was expecting from this hotel. Guess I thought it was a step up. Room was clean and staff was very pleasant. Just a few perks need to be added.

Very nice hotel. You can smell the ocean from the balcony. The seagulls would dart down by our window looking for food. Rooms were big and very spacious. I would return here next time I'm in Galveston.

EXTREMELY CLEAN! It's a beach hotel without a trace of sand inside! Had a very clean and comfortable king bed in our suite. Even our bathroom could pass a white glove inspection! Highly recommend for everyone including families with children. First class staff. Looking forward to staying again.

We stayed at the Baymont before our cruise earlier this month. The staff was fantastic. One staff member told us about saving money and leaving our car on their property while we cruised. The room was nice and clean. I liked having a balcony too… bonus surprise. We woke up too late to eat breakfast but the morning staff gave us recommendations in town. We will be back later this summer and will definitely stay there again.

Location is okay but it should be noted that "ocean view" may not mean what you expect. The hotel is only 3 stories high and is not situated on the sea wall, so you have a nice view of the back of a Golden Corral and then a little of the ocean beyond that. Don't spend the extra money for the view. That said, the room was clean and comfortable. Large fridge and microwave available. Restroom is nice and there was good water pressure in the shower. It's a quiet hotel except for early morning seagulls outside, but that can't be helped. Breakfast consists of mostly carbs (bagels, cereal, toast, some fruit, waffles) and there are no eggs/meat. Coffee was pretty good though. Staff at the hotel is all very friendly.

Big room, but unless your on the top floor, there's no view. Thankful there was a little fridge. And hot water for days. Staff was super nice and helpful.

Extended our stay in Galveston after a cruise by staying here for a couple nights. Just off the seawall, with view of the ocean from the balcony. Food options within walking distance (and I don't walk). Good price, nice room, recommended.

This location is over a hundred yards from the beach. It is set behind a Golden Corral. It is a 3 story building. The rooms are basic, two queen beds, refrigerator, microwave, some rooms have safes others do not. All rooms have a balcony but do not have good views of the ocean. The free breakfast included waffles, cereal, yogurt, mini cinnamon rolls, Bagels, English muffins, coffee and and juice Etc. Aside from the waffles a hot breakfast wasn't offered. This location has an outdoor pool, towels are not provided. The parking lot does fill up, and overflow is in a sister property right next door. It is in a central location a mile from the Rainforest Cafe and a mile and a half from Pleasure Pier.

Definitely has room for improvement. Pros: Friendly staff Clean room Comfortable bed Near the beach Cons: The A/C wasn't performing well, thank God it wasn't summer. Breakfast was a joke, we out out instead. Shower had very little pressure.

This is my first time staying at Baymont Inn &Suites. I am a Wyndam rewards member and earned a free night. We have been staying at the Super 8 during our stays to Galveston. I wanted to try this hotel. I was please with the room, got a room with the Ocean view. I'm happy so far, and I am going to try to get up early to have breakfast. I will stay here again.

Very nice & clean especially since it had been flooded a few months ago. The only part that could have been better would be the breakfast, the waffle makers were set to warm so an hr later after noticing all waffles not cooking rt she came out and turned them on. Otherwise excellent visit nice people.

Great room for the price. Located right across the street from the beach. Really yummy breakfast that is included with your stay—waffles, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. Clean rooms. Staff seemed friendly and accommodating. I was disappointed that when I booked it was advertised as a year round heated pool but when we got there the pool was closed for the winter. The pool was one of the main reasons we booked there so we were really disappointed. But that may be the fault of the booking service and less of Baymont. Overall I’d recommend (and would love if they kept the pool heated and open all year long in the future! ).

Prices are great DURING the week. Make sure person biking is the person checking in. The beds were soft but they use mini pillows. Glad we had our own. Breakfast had cereal, oatmeal, waffles, bread and muffins. They had a nice pool but closed for winter. Daily housekeeping. Microwave, mini fridge, safe, hair dryer, iron & board. Each room has a balcony with two chairs. Laundry facilities are $2 a machine.

I loved Baymont Inn. There prices were very reasonable and our room was spectacular. My son had to go to the hospital due to a gran maul seizure on our vacation in Galveston. I could not have been more appreciative to have such a nice comfortable peaceful place to bring him back to for him to recover. Because of this, given the option I will always choose Baymont. Thanks guys.

No hot shower, filthy dirty room. Piss stains on the floor. Continental breakfast was a joke. No eggs or meat or any form of protein. No hot tub. Pool was closed for the season. No customer service! Beds sucked. Avoid! Not service dog friendly either. Was hassled during my so called breakfast about it when you can clearly read service dog on her vest while she's sitting or laying next to me. We travel a lot I'm done with baymont inn.

Baymont Inn is a nice place to stay at affordable prices. It's a but inside so if you are expecting a great view, it's not available but the sea Beach is just around 10 mins walk. Rooms are clean and you get daily room service. Breakfast is just filled with carbs like bread, muffins etc. So don't expect the breakfast to be outstanding. The front desk people are pretty helpful and are very accommodating. If you are visitor then you will be happy to find various restaurants and shops around walkable distance. There is a pier nearby with nice swings and a small amusement park. I will recommend you to stay here as it's cheap and affordable.

This is where FEMA placed us after Hurricane Harvey. The staff has done a great job making us comfortable and provides a decent breakfast each morning. They have also happily assisted with local information and the required paperwork.

Hotel was under renovation due to the hurricane (understandable! ) but we found the overall area a little sketchy. Room was a nice size and comfortable!

The "continental breakfast" is a joke. There are no eggs. The only redeeming thing for this place is the very attractive night shift lady.

We had a good stay. The rooms are big, the water pressure was great. It's walking distance to golden corral and the beach is right there. If it's rush hour you could be sitting awhile to get into the main road.

Very reasonably priced hotel, located just half a block in from the beach. Not many rooms have a good view, so if that's a key requirement, you need to call and ensure you have reserved one with a view. The hotel is clean and rooms are pleasant. Breakfast is okay (has waffle maker, but no meat/eggs, and limited fruit).

We stayed for the weekend. Room was nice. Bathroom is too small for a Suite and there was mildew in the shower and little bugs on the wall near the sink. TV reception was horrible. Only about 5 channels worked without static. Wi-Fi wouldn't stay connected. Pool was small. The picture on the website is deceptive. The staff was pleasant. I doubt we will stay here again.

The hotel is extremely close to the beach. There is a Golden Corral within walking distance, and several other restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had nice amenities. Our room had a balcony as well. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location, Large rooms, Well designed bathroom as in vanity and bathroom are one and wont bother other roomates with the lights. Stayed 3 nights and had no problems with staff, housekeepers always tended the room each day. Will consider staying here again.

Adequate. If you have older kids, or no kids, it's an easy walk (1/4 mile) to Babe Beach. We stayed in a king suite with balcony that had a firm, even mattress and soft down pillows. Linens were decent. Towels were a bit abrasive, but did the job. No odor or funky smell to the room like you often get at coastal hotels.

Hotel is OK. Needs a paint job and has a funny smell, but not too bad otherwise. The staff seems less than helpful though. They double charged my credit card. When I called to get it fixed, they left me on hold for over 20 minutes. When I realized they weren't ever coming back, I tried quite a few times to call back. They won't even answer the phone now. Pretty poor customer service so far.

By bar best hotel I've stayed at in Galveston! We checked into the super 8 next door first and let's just say I was highly highly disappointed. So I got a refund and drove next door to the Baymont Inn and I was so much happier! For $15 extra a night I got a clean and nice smelling room. The bathroom was clean and towels folded pretty. Breakfast is wonderful, cause you can make your own Texas waffles and they have way better selection. Only thing I didn't like was someone above us making lots of noise all night, so the next morning I asked to be moved to a different room and Marisol at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. She really blew me away on the customer service (: I will definitely be staying here again!

Small fitness center… small pool… almost no choice for breakfast — — bagels, waffles, milk and juice. No eggs or sausages. A little disappointed. The room is comfortable and the bed is wide enough for two people.

Luckily I only had to stay there one night The front desk is nice but I don't think we will be staying there again. It smells, tell it's been around for awhile, there was mold in the shower, bed was uncomfortable, the towels were rough, and there was something yellow on the lamp shade. The walls are a bit thin. Breakfast is okay if you like waffles, cereal, toast, mini muffin and cinnamon rolls.

The hotel is close to the beach but you can't actually see the ocean from the building. The description seemed a bit misleading in that regard. After we checked in, we went to the room to go to bed. When we pulled back the covers, we found that the bed was swarming with ants! We went back to the desk, but there was no one there. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for the clerk to come back around. They moved us to another room, and it was fine. The next day I saw them spraying for ants in the infested room. The rooms are quite nice, modern and spacious. The beds are comfortable. The staff has been cordial. Its a good place to stay if you want a decent updated motel while on vacation. Its nothing special, really, but you could definitely do worse.

It was a nice hotel with a great service and I very much enjoyed my stay.

My experience with Baymont Inn in Galveston ranks as one of the worst experience. The 1st room assigned and hallways on the first floor smelled of mildewed. Guest services moved myself and family too a room farther down the hall. The room was fine except the door to the room was too small for the frame resulting in a potential break-in. Again guest services opted to move us farther down the hall to a safer room and place the unsafe room on "out of service" status. Within hours, the unsafe room was not corrected and assigned to a new guests. As for room number 3, our family felt safer and stayed the night. Before check out, during a quick toss of the sheets we found buttons belonging to a former guest and possibly unclean sheets were remained on the bed when we were reassigned to room number 3. I will likely never stay at a Wynham facility again.

Clean and big rooms. Quiet. The included breakfast is a carb fest — waffles, muffins, mini cinnamon rolls, sugary cereal (except cornflakes), toast, bagels, juice. There is a small selection of low fat (high sugar) yogurt and some plain instant oatmeal. Hopefully the breakfast selection changes periodically, but that is what was offered when I was there.

Even though it was only one night stay. My friends and I enjoyed our stay and the hotel was very clean and professional will be back.

My family & I LOVE staying here! The staff is nice and helpful, clean rooms, great breakfast, and we haven't had any problems.

Front desk girl was asleep when we got there. The TV was on very loud in our room and the bed was not made and looked as if someone had been sleeping in it. We were switched to a downgraded room and charged for the more expensive room. They didn't do anything about it until I brought it up to the manager. The manager was dismissive and not apologetic.

Service was good! Rooms need some serious updates! Obvious spots were they touched up the paint. Bathroom shower had water spots on the wall! There were pipes knocking in the walls by our bathroom all night long! Bathroom door did not lock and you had to push the little lever to get it to close! Sockets were really loose… they wouldn't hold my chargers for our electronics. All and alll it was a decent place for a 1 night stay and the fact that we were at the beach majority of the time.

Photo on the web is of another hotel next door. Desk clerks give you a different story every time you ask them something. Tattoos and rings hanging out of noses and ears, with a cell phone stuffed in a clerks ear is not professional nor does it build confidence in a hotel, as if they cared. Tried to double price on 2nd night. Parking is less than desirable. Breakfast is OK if you like bread products. You have a wonderful balcony view of a grave yard from the feaux balcony. Balcony door can't be locked securely.

Loved it! No view, but across the street from the seawall. Clean. Booked it the same night. Our only complaint was that we couldn't shut the dark curtains to block the sunlight and sleep in. The price was awesome. Also, waffles for breakfast. Who wouldn't love that?

Staff is friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the people on the adjacent rooms, but over all it is a quiet hotel.

I did not like. The fourth q gave me. Does not serve the Internet. No Wi-Fi. Olia bad I asked. Q I will room, and did not want to and were empty and the breakfast is not very good.

Terrible experience. Overpriced, no view, no parking. The continental breakfast was horrible. Went to get fast food instead. The drawers in my room were falling apart. It smelled strangely, and the bedding was cheap. I would not recommend staying here to anyone. Especially for the price.

I will make sure to not EVER stay in the BAYMONT INN again in Galveston! My family and I had the worst experience and was treated HORRIBLY. Traveling from Louisiana to Galveston, Texas is a 3 hour drive and due to delays in traffic we arrived at this cheaply built hotel at about 12 am. We left to get something to eat at Waffle House and did not return til about 2 am. We are very respectful people and know that people are sleeping, The floors are VERY Hollow and the walls are paper thin, so of course people will hear if you even walk from one corner to the next. We were on the 2nd floor and my family and were getting ready fro bed when there is a knock on the door. Its the guy from the front desk telling us that we were making too much of noise because the guests below us called in to complain that people were jumping. SERIOUSLY! AT 3 AM JUMPING AROUND AFTER traveling for almost 4 hours. We were all tired to be jumping around. The next morning I get a call from management, who was very rude and even yelled at me to the point were she said she would kick me out of her hotel. I was told by the classless chick from management that my family and I were WRESTLING on the floor from The people : to 3:00 and I was the reason the costumer left and she has to issue money back. I was very appalled and immediately asked for a refund because I refused to stay another night at this horrible hotel.

Wow! Great service and staff. Rooms are clean and very nice — private balconies with ocean view! Granite countertop in bathroom and granite shower walls are impressive. Fully fenced and well lit parking lot, good area surrounded by other hotels. 2 blocks from Starbucks, 1 block from ocean. Great deal for the money. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here a week for spring break, loved it! I came late, checked in at 3am the staff were friendly and easy going, Walking distance from sea wall, adorable balconies, clean indoor rooms, safe atmosphere, friendly staff, great price, free breakfast (Texas shaped waffles), overall it was a great experience.

A good place to rest.

This hotel was good for the price but bring your socks because the floors were a tad on the dirty side! The carpet in the bedroom was terribly stained. So much so that we didn't want to take our socks off. The room was very humid no matter what we did to try to break the humidity and made the floor feel wet. We had to keep turning the A/C down to make it not feel so humid. Location made it easy for us to navigate the busy part of Galveston and avoid pulling out into terrible traffic but it was right behind a restaurant and between four other hotels so it wasn't as easy to find at first. The pictures were a bit deceiving, sadly. We booked because of the free breakfast and the hot tub shown in the picture on this exact hotels website. I'm not sure why but the hot tub has been taken out of the pool and they haven't removed the picture from the website. The pool is smaller then a regular back yard pool but thankfully, you shouldn't really be going to a hotel on the beach for the pool so that didn't bother us very much. The breakfast was free and definitely lived up to expectations. They had everything you needed: Texas shaped waffles, toast and bagels, apples and oranges, mini cinnamon rolls and mini muffins, a variety of cold cereal, oatmeal, milk, juice and coffee. Staff was very kind and made our stay easy. They let us check in an hour early (Thank God, too. We drove a few hours and really wanted to just take a quick nap before our activities) and helped us out when needed.

Nasty. At first glance our room looked clean. However, after the day was done and we were getting ready to get in the bed at about 11pm there was a yellow stain and something red on one of the comforters. When I called down to the front desk I was told to bring the comforter and sheets down to them and they would wash and dry them and bring them back to us. They didn't have any room service on duty. I asked to speak with a Manager the next day about the ordeal and was told there was not one there yet and they would call me. The following day I get a call back from the same desk clerk from the day before to add to the insult the manager and owners that were there would not even pick up the phone to address the issue with me. There were other people with us on this trip and their room was dirty as well and nobody cared.

We arrived for check-in at 4p. They had already given away our room! We needed a room with a roll-in shower to accomodate a wheelchair. We booked the hotel a week in advance. Their response was "sorry, corporate over-booked". I asked to speak to the manager — nope. We asked what they would do to correct this — nothing. HORRIBLE front-desk staff. Beach out front was closed due to the mounds of stinky seaweed rotting along the shore. Ended up being a blessing we didnt stay there. Could not believe how RUDE and unaccomodating they were. Their supposed "accessible" rooms are NOT ADA compliant — no shower handle, no shower chairs — no shower wand, only a "wide door". If you or anyone you love ever require wheelchair accomodations and have been descriminated against — please do not support this hotel.

Hotel was very clean and updated. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. You can walk to beach from hotel. Pool is nice and clean.

We always stay here and love it. Very spacious, clean rooms and comfy beds. My husband and I love sitting out on the balcony and listening to the waves at night. You'll drive right past it if you aren't paying close attention.

My wife and I stayed 5 days here. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms were clean and smelled good. We would recommend and stay here again when we come to Galveston.
