The staff was extremely nice. We had a lot of family staying here for a reunion and everyone loved it. The rooms were set to cold (a plus due to the heat) and were very nice. It was a hot weekend and we enjoyed the inside pool. Thw breakfast.

Rooms were clean and customer service was fast.

Being retired now, the wife and I are traveling a lot these days. This hotel is as good as I've seen. And I've stayed at some very richie 5 star hotels. Very clean, Very friendly staff.

Great gathering place for nephew"s wedding. Room spacious & kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Breakfast was good, Cinnamon rolls awesome. Definitely a do over when in the area.

Tile in bathroom, grout was breaking out. Breakfast wasn't bad, but eatable.

Fold out couch had popcorn in it. Sheets and blanket in linen closet were not clean. Staff was nice.

Clean rooms Nice Hotel. But… the cleaning staff start knocking on your door at 08:30. I was here visiting family staying up late and did not appreciate a knock on my door. You can hear the cleaning staff's radio playing outside the door. Just my pet peeve. Otherwise the staff are friendly and the rooms clean.

Could be the safest or most dangerous hotel in the USA! Website boast this notice: "Our hotel does have a "no open carry" on premises handgun rule 30.07. " I manage an CQC shooting school and host a firearms radio talk show. After seeing this notice and the sigh in (see photos), I thought "I don't think Steven Paddock, the Vegas shooter, ever open carried around the hotel. I just put a windbreaker over my Beretta M9 and put my Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen in my computer page. When I ran a small police department, most of our police officers would much rather see what firearm someone might be carrying rather than be surprised. Silly rule that promotes a false sense of security. If they want safety, hire two off duty POST certified police officers. Internet service barely 1mbps download and kept disconnecting. Nice hotel, just not sure I want to patronize the "gun grabbers" agenda.

Miles off the interstate and then find out won't take my dog. Never staying at holiday inn again.

It was very clean and updated. It is a little hard to find using Googke maps. It does not go to the correct location. The hotel is on business 259. The staff was nice and courteous. Only issue was the sink did not drain well. It is not in a typical retail, hotel setting. It is set back away from the street. There are not restaurants or any other retail stores in plain view. You see the back of another hotel. Overall a good experience.

Nice hotel but got ripped off in a towel scam. The manager claims my family took towels when we didn't and wouldn't. They charged my Debit card $100 and took money right out of my pocket before we even left. We were not disruptive nor dirty. We are a respectful, hard working family that got money stolen from us by the manager. When finding out about this, after we got home, the management offered no remorse or even tried to communicate with us on this misunderstanding.

My family recently visited Kilgore and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express there. It was new. The beds were very comfy and my kids loved the breakfast. The location was quiet and inside was warm and inviting. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone passing through Kilgore.
