The place is old and in need of serious painting, but the room was clean and adequate. Got a good deal on the room, so I'm not unhappy. There was a pool, but it was not open then. For the money, I got a clean room and a night's sleep. I will not complain. Parking is a bit difficult on the back side of the motel. You might have to walk a bit. Ask first.

Everything was great. I have always had great service every time I have stayed here. They are all so kind and helpful. Thank you for caring and all your service. Barbara Boone Cemino.

The outside was a mess, they only had like one maid to clean rooms. When they did service my room all they did was take out the trash. The toilet didnt work in my friends room and her bathtub was constantly dripping. It was an ok stay but not worth the price, I've experienced better at Motel 6.

Room nice, older but nice. Pet friendly a plus. Grounds behind the entrance needs some work. Staff needs customer service training. One employee extremely rude!

The manager is great lady. She can smile a little bit more but she's good with her customers. She was a big help to in mine vegan lifestyle change. My room did not come with a frigerator. And I am diabetic and she helped with place a refrigerator in mine room and she makes herself available if you need her. The whole hotel needs a makeover remodeling very moldy.

Older property badly in need of updating. Rooms are small and smell slightly musty. Ac unit is noisy. Rust/wood rot visible in most of the exterior.

The hotel was adequate. Prices have gone up and given the cost the hotel should be rated lower. The breakfast was something to be passed on, meager and well not so tasty. Stay if you must, you probably won't loose anything and you will be safe.

This place has gone down in so many way. It give me the feeling that it is only used by drug dealers and prostitution. I truly can not believe how bad it is there and how people stay there. La Quinta has truly let down all of America. Please please don’t stay here in Huntsville.

Stayed here for a couple weeks for a training seminar, and loved it. Clean rooms, tons of pillows on comfy beds, and staff accommodated every request I made with a smile on their face!

We love La Quinta Hotels. We travel for business and I won't stay anywhere else. Lately they're having this ownership transition with Wyndham Hotels and some of our stays haven't been ideal. Hopefully this is temporary. As for our most recent stay at LQ Huntsville, first room had a broken toilet. We moved into a room with a broken A/C. None of the ice machines in the hotel are working at all. Other than that, it's a lovely hotel.

I like this hotel. Convenient and friendly people working there. Hotel needs a little bit of Upgrade but good value for your money.

1st day; checked in mid-afternoon. Staff was pleasant, room was a suite and was great for our us. Love the amenity they are Pet Friendly! Our puppies are like our kids and go everywhere with us. Nice the ice machine is fairly close to our room. Will updated later.

Took staff two days to get a key to work for our room. All three ice machines were out of order. Batteries in TV remote were dead. Housekeeping left two towels, didn't clean up at all or even replace the coffee. The freezer in the mini fridge was not functioning properly and melted our ice cream. Extremely bad experience. I can't see how this location is able to keep its affiliation with LQ.

Super cold ac, always important. Nice room, typical ammenities and a cool little coffee maker.

Awful, like an old 70s motel that hasn't been cleaned since then. Questionable activities happening in the parking lot until all hours of the night, dirty bathroom, and hard beds. I'm not sure how this even qualifies as a La Quinta.

Arrived tired and almost immediately got a room. Slept too late to try the breakfast. Room clean. Helpful desk clerk.

Overall pretty decent, the long didn't feel like a long but can be overlooked. Simple breakfast with waffles, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, and yogurt.

Very unclean. When I was there we had no warm water. Staff was nice.

Not the nicest hotel, but (mostly) clean and functional for a quick and affordable place to sleep as you pass thru town.

Photos online show fridge and microwaves in room. Apparently not all rooms have them. When they know your comming with children 2 & 4 Yrs old they should know you need a fridge for milk etc. First La Quinta and last. Cleaning people are very nice and desk is nice but can't really help with complaints about rooms etc. It's not the staff.

The Place was a little neglected. The room was clean. The service was friendly.

Do not book their event room for a big party as in a wedding! My niece rented the room for July 29, 2017 and the AC was not up to par! The room would never cool down below 75 and with a crowd of around 90 people it was absolutely miserable! The restrooms were so hot it was disgusting! Just remember you get what you pay for! Never again! Hope she learned a lesson!

Nice staff, we broke down and need a place to crash. The Firestone took us here and picked us up after my car was ready. Nice town nice people. But the rooms just aren't top of line, but we're not bad.

This place completely stole my money. Made a reservation with debit card. Rule was you must cancel within 24 hours. I cancelled 48 hours before the reservation date. They took the money from my account and refused to return. Complaint made with debit card company with phone records included. Will take to Small Claims Court if not refunded. Will cost me the whole amount of one nights stay, I won't maje a cent back, but will have the satisfaction of not allowing them to steal from me. It was pure theft.

I got fired from this place for mistake I made by accidentally hitting a star on these reviews and I X'd out but Google review still I held that 1star posting. I never got the chance to defend my position. The manager lied and said she would talk to her boss to try to help me keep my job but that didn't happen. I worked here and this place is old and run down. The "manager" readily admits she lied to get the position and it shows in her treatment of employees and lack of being able to budget correctly. She yells at employees in front of other employees to the point of bringing some to tears. Corporate won't fix this place up because they are trying to sell it. The carpet is old and no matter how much cleaning you do to it the room still smells musty. Most of the mattresses are so old the have giant dents in the middle. One day the manager and her boss went to lunch and the manager came back to work intoxicated to the point of swaying when she stood up. Many complaints have been launched to corporate on this manager by employees and guests but they won't listen or do anything about it. It took one guest 2 or more months to get reimbursed for his property that was thrown away when he hadn't even checked out. A guest will call to speak to her about their bill and she will wait for days off or even weeks to contact them back. She refused to talk to anybody at all about an application so she has no clue as to who REALLY wants the job.

The rooms are different to the common from this chain, but I like the service of its employees.

The manager was terribly a racist. He disrupted a marriage event this Saturday by calling the police to kick out the groom, bride and audience without a tangible reason and without even talking to the celebrants first. If you have a special event to organize, don't even try to book its hall. Very embarrassing.

Very mean mananger. Just embarrassed people and send them out of a wedding reception for no reason. I would never recommend anyone to go rent a.

Front Desk Agent Checking In Clerk a very nice guy, extremely helpful. the Bed was ok, nice TV, the room needed to be upgraded BAD. Rug in front of closet was wet, red stains on carpet, mud on bed shirt in room 111. The tube was too nasty to take a bath. The bathroom smell like raw sewage, every time you flush the toilet the tube make a sound and that smell. I had to keep the bathroom door close. The kitchen was very nasty, lizard on a rat pad in one corner, on the side another the rat pad had bugs and appear to be a small mice, nasty towels in a bucket that smell real bad, the floor looks like it never seen a mop, the sink was horrible, the water was brown. The condition of that Kitchen is very bad and needs be to shut down until the kitchen it's brought back up to code. No food should be served from that kitchen. I was there for a party and to assist the caterer that's how I know about the kitchen. The conf. Room on the end very Hot and stayed hot the entire night. This Hotel needs a lot of Help.

Not as good as a La Quinta Inn & Suites basically feels like a Motel 6 that's been giving a paint job. Staff is pretty good and courteous. Breakfast is subpar can do with a lot more Improvement with that. All and all it's a pretty good little place for being and La Quinta Inn.

Super comfortable bed. Room was well maintained. Nice and comfortable, no musty stale smell. Full sized tub. Room was quite. Pet friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Not only did the hotel room smell like B. O. But, 75% of the hotel rooms were occupied by college students blaring music. The hallways were packed with them screaming all last night from 10pm-4am. I know we are close to SHSU but that is no excuse to have no control over this.

Pet Friendly with some truck parking. We stayed in room 118 and had no issues. The Ac worked perfectly and the room was clean, no bugs were found. Big flat screen tv.

The place is a dump. The A/C in the room wouldn't cool a 2' x 2' broom closet and there is a 1" gap under the door that you could see daylight again. We had to shove a towel in the gap to keep the bugs out and to keep what little air the A/C was blowing from escaping.

July 2, 2015 Looking forward to touring SHSU and Huntsville. Booked two nights. Place was so bad we left the next morning. Both rooms: non-working A/C, water didn't properly drain in tub from shower, building needs to be cleaned and re-furbished, and swimming pool is not the kind I'd put my grandson in to play — nasty. Customer service at front desk seemed indifferent to our complaint about the price being changed (increased). Was told their prices changed daily. Called the 800 Reservation number when I got in car to report the conditions. Again, was met with an indifferent attitude by Jason. Was told I'd have to call Guest Relations, but that office was closed for the holiday weekend. Unless you are comfortable with these type of dives for lodging, DON'T BOOK A ROOM HERE. This place will not add any pleasant vibes to your weekend visit with your college student. The conditions were more like what you'd find in a 3rd world country motel.

Went up for high school graduation at SHSU. Although would have preferred a nicer Hotel, this was an excellent stay. Two rooms which had a connecting door-great with the kids. Pool was dirty cause of the recent storms (3 weeks of rain) But the lady at check-in was great! She was polite and helped us when we needed anything! Overall, I'd stay there again cause no other 'luxury' hotels in Huntsville.

The toilet broke, than they gave us 3 dirty rooms to move to and took the mini fridge out.

Nicer room fridge, microwave, internet, and flat screen tv. Could use a little more cleaning is why I gave 4 stars not 5. Noone has been rude at all.

No web access and bugs in room. After two phone calls to the front desk and receiving two assurances the router was being reset, I phoned the front desk a third time. This time I was given an 800 number to call without the offer of connecting me to the number. So then, I had to figure out how to call out of the room. After going through the motions of checking network capabilities on my computer, the technician finally acknowledged the hotel web service had the problem and I was assured it would be up and running in 15 minutes. I was given a ticket number. Of course it was not up and running in 15 minutes. It was midnight by this time and I phoned the front desk once more. They asked me to move to another room where the internet was working. Customer service is about a business taking care of a customer and allowing the customer rest and relaxation. LaQuinta is void of that. LaQuinta will not have my business again, after 37 years of loyalty.

The man that answered the phone when I called abt prices was a total jerk. Talk about rude. Get some manners.

Showers leak. Toilets clog up. Roaches. Blood stains on carpet. I thought la Quinta was suppose to be a better hotel. Sleeping in my vehical is starting to look like a better option.

You have to ask yourself, why are you going to Huntsville, Tx? And why would you stay at a La Quinta while you were there? Sometimes in life, you just wind up doing things. And sometimes in life, you wind up doing things a lot, especially when you have a sister who is a theater major and went to school at Sam Houston State. By the end of things, I became quite familiar with this La Quinta, positioned such that it's effectively the first hotel you get to when driving in from Austin. It's near the finest that Huntsville has to offer which happens to be an IHOP. (In all seriousness, Huntsville's got a bunch of lovely little restaurants and bars. Cafe Texan, Mr Hamburger, and Lindo Mexico are worthy restaurants without leaving 11th street. The Stardust Room seemed a quality college bar). Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, maybe it's because we knew all of the little secret exits and entrances, or maybe it's something else, but I quite like this little sleeping spot. Take a room facing the courtyard for a cozy feel. Hang out on their wooden deck and be tempted by a pool that actually looks like it might be safe to swim in. Or stick to the outside edge so you can sneak in and out of your room while showing the appropriate amount of shame for having stayed the night in Huntsville. So feel free, visit Huntsville, see some trees, a giant prison, some unique houses, and a quaint little university. Stay at this La Quinta and you'll get a decent room without being out too much $$.
