I was discharged from the hospital in Houston earlier today with a weakened immune system. We decided to stop and reserve a room instead of continuing the long drive home. Upon entry into our room, we discovered the linens had a couple of obvious, clear to see stains. One would expect a much a better environment for the price.
I never complain about little, minor imperfections, but this was well above that.

Oh my! How many stains can you get on the furniture and rugs. The lobby, hallway and elevator were filthy, so called "full breakfast" was woeful — how hard is it to have hot water. The bed was an oasis with good pillows. Really looks like there is no professional hotel supervision. Off my list.

This was unfortunately a terrible experience. I booked a room for one night with my wife and one year old daughter and two months earlier. When we arrived they had no records of our reservation, even after providing our names and confirmation number that was given at time of booking. Luckily (or not so luckily as you will soon see) they had a room available, so we have them all of our info and went up. Once we got info the room, my wife immediately noticed the arm chair in the room that was covered in stains, we decided it was just a chair and we can just avoid it for the night. The bed seemed clean and fresh, and the bathroom, at least at a quick glance was tolerable. At this point went out for a few hours, before leaving we requested a crib to be brought up to add our room to which they said it would be fine. After a couple hours we got back, asked about the crib at the front desk, they said they haven't got to it yet but they'll bring it right up. We went up to the room and started a bath for my daughter, at which point we find a bunch of little hairs all over the tub… I immediately head back downstairs to request another room or to have it cleaned, but there is no one at the desk. So I look around the corner to find the girl in the pool, so I ask how is the crib coming, and she tells me she forgot. I have had enough at this point to I request to be checked out and have my money refunded. Long story short the hotel was terrible, the people were worse.

Filthy, wish I would have read the reviews. Checked for bed bugs, didn’t find any but the amount of hair/dust/crumbs was disgusting and disturbing. The room didn’t get cooler than 80. That was the first room, they gave us two other keys to try to two other rooms, they weren’t much better, due to it being 1am we just needed somewhere to lay our head. The facility, furniture, amenities, etc. All together is ran down but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt considering they did host a ton of ppl due to Harvey. After moving to the other room we were charged again. They reverted it back it and it ended up being 20 sumn more than original price. Not even worth the hassle dealing with them. Book at your own risk.

We normally stay at American Best across the street from Baymont but we decided to try a new hotel & we decided to try out Baymont as the pictures looked nice & the price wasn’t bad either, so once we checked into the hotel I was given a room on the 3rd floor and that room had problems so they switched me a room on the 4th floor but that room the a/c didn’t work so I went downstairs and was given a 3rd from on the 2nd floor but yet again the room was dirty and the a/c unit didn’t work. I then grabbed my bags went down stairs and informed the receptionist that I was very unhappy with this hotel & would like a refund so I can find a different hotel so not only did I not refunded I was told to come back Monday & talk to the GM to see if she can refund me my money. I will never go to this hotel nor will I suggest this hotel to anyone. I don’t this this hotel deserves any stars but I must at least give 1 star to post this review. Unhappy Customer.

I move from the hotel next to this because the spa (hot tub) and pool were not working and so I asked when for my reservation I asked if their spa and pool were working because that was why we wanted a room. I told them that we would be there in 20 min and they said no problem we have 10 suites available. When we arrived we were told that it would be 4-5 hrs before we could check in, leaving us out in the heat with all our stuff. I explained that we just called and the receptionist said oh yea they always say that but no exception before 3. When we did get into our room and unpacked the fridge wasn't working so they changed rooms and again packing up and unpacking. When we were ready for the spa, we were told that there wasn't a spa with the pool and only one room in the building had a Jacuzzi and it was taken. I felt like we waisted a day of our vacation waiting around. I was polite but very frustrated with all the misinformation.

The room was clean and the bed was amazing. Breakfast could be better. But overall the black girl at the front desk was rude and couldnt get off her phone to help us. We waited like 15 minutes the sign said press 0 for assistance she finally came out the elevator and asked if we needed help I said obviously I have been standing here calling 0 for the past 15 minutes. She said that it wasnt her problem. And if I still wanted a room. Overall the girl the next day was great and very nice. Overall great stay but that girl needs to go looks very young and very unprofessional.

The front desk (Morgan) was really helpful and friendly! Breakfast was really good, and the beds were amazingly comfortable! It was worth the money!

Place is kinda deceiving from the outside. Looks like they are remodeled and lost funding for other services. Only hot food is waffles which I never saw anyone eat, and everything else was so sparsely stocked. And watched the comforters, found some gnarly toe nail clippings when I removed the first layer :/

Only place we could get reservations at after flood. Two weeks after Harvey we stayed two nights and we found a hotel closer to home to start rebuilding … This hotel was filthy and the hallways had potholes under the ratty carpet. However the employees were nice but would not make up for how nasty the filth was won't stay there again sorry.

I would've recommend this hotel to anyone. When I got upstairs and off the elevator my phone stopped working (At&T), got to my room and tried to call down and their phone didn't work, went down and asked if I could be moved to a room closer to the lobby and was lied to aboit being all booked up, went back to my room to find my t. V. And refrigerator didn't work. Only then was I moved to a different room. Smh. Wouldn't have gave them any stars but I couldn't post this unless I did!

I worked at Baymont and my first impression was I wouldn't stay there so I decide to give it a try they had good staff that worked, but I found out it's the owers, that place have had lots of owners, and they didn't take care of that place it's a lot of work to be put into that hotel, like shampooing rugs, needs a good professional cleaning floors need to be fixed on 2nd floor funiture needs to be tossed out table legs are broken on most if not all of the funiture and none of the owners want to address it. Instead they won't hire adequate staff, the pay is awful, and they make staff do work like plumbing electricity stuff that they need to hire. The owners are very cheap and won't pay the right people to do the job correctly. So to it could be a good place to stay after all these things are done and the femma. People leave Good Luck Baymont.

I have stayed at this hotel many of times. Its a clean and friendly environment. The staff is very friendly and very concerned about their guests well being. I highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. I had a great experience during my stay and will definitely be coming back. Oh and the beds are amazing we had the room with the Jacuzzi. We loved every bit of our stay thank you. Ask how to enroll with Wyndham rewards you save a lot and get great deals on rooms.

Dear Manager, Just so you know… The room was great, once we finally got one. The first assigned room, the key would not open door. The battery was "dead on door lock, " was the excuse. The second room assigned had not been cleaned, the beds had been used previously. The third room assigned was very nice. We could get in the door easily, the beds were made and all was in order. Not until we fell on the bed in exhaustion and tried to turn on the TV did we have a complaint. It would not come on. After calling the front desk, the person on duty came up prepared and provided the correct remote, which by the way worked perfectly. The very inept desk clerk apologised profusely and offered a reduction on our bill, which I thanked her for and said goodnight. The next morning, after a good nights sleep on very comfortable beds, we went down for breakfast, made a waffle only to find the syrup dispenser empty. After going to the front desk to ask for help and finding a sign that instructed to "dial 0" for assistance and waiting, our waffle was limp and cold. But the coffee was good and just what I needed to get me through the next phase. Remember I said the night clerk promised a reduction on the bill? When checking out I checked to make sure that happened, you guessed it! No one knew anything! I started to dial your number listed on your card, but I guess the girl at the desk didn't want you bothered by a phone call that early and said the day manager would be there any minute.

My husband and I stayed here with our kids while we were passing through Columbus. The town itself is pretty small. Had a few hotels nearby. A La Quinta was right next to this place, however was way overpriced. The Baymont was perfect! In our budget under $100 a night, they had a ton of food options for breakfast which the kiddos loved, and the young gentleman at the front desk was a peach! He greeted us to welcome us which I've noticed a lot of places don't even do anymore. He promptly tended to our needs (we wanted extra towels), and was genuinely a nice person all around. The hotel looks simple from the outside, but the service and staff make up for it. I know there are a few reviews about the dirtiness of this place — however, we didn't find that to be the case. Our room was spic and span. We will definitely stay here again when we pass through town, and recommend it to our friends that need a place to crash if passing by as well. Place was run down. Dirty beds. Shower didn't work, for doesn't close and latch and curtain was bad and soaked the floor during a shower. All Lobby bathrooms were either locked out or discussing. We went to McDonald's down the street to use the restroom on the way out. It's independently owned and it shows. Definitely NOT Wyndham quality.

Sad representation of this, franchise. Furniture had stains all over cushion as well as arm rests. Desk chair looked like someone peed on it. Staff spent more time outside smoking and visiting friends than being at the desk to assist us. Do NOT stay here!

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at. I am not a picky person but the our room was just so nasty. The big guy at the desk at check in was beyond rude and so lazy. There was rust on the floor in the bathroom and the chair and floor was badly stained. We should have stayed at the La Quinta next door.

My mother-in-law had to find a hotel due to the Harvey hurricane and this the only hotel that accept her cat for a small fee during her stay she loved the comfort of the bed and she said the owner was very friendly however they said that she could stay longer but they forgot that they had already had booked the rooms for future stay although they made her leave the room they waved her cat fee because they promised her she can stay longer thanks for taking her in when she really needed help and thank you for allowing her cat to stay.

Needed a room for the night, but after reading other reviews and walking in and seeing the place, not to mention the random weird creeps hanging around at midnight, we decided to find a cleaner and more respectable hotel.

You can hear TV and noise from next room. Very very annoying.

They have a sorry environment. No a good place to spend one night, the phone did not work, which is a safety concern because in case of emergency we could not dial 911 nor front desk. The people in the next room had the TV on loud all night long and into the morning. There was no TV remote in the room and when I went to ask for one, I had to program it myself but was not able to program the volume. I don't blame the people who stop at night looking for a place to sleep but I blame the sorry culture of the business.

Waited for the night clerk to decide come out of hiding to finally check us in. The breakfast appears to be refreshed weekly… The day clerk was on her phone and seemed less than pleased when we asked for milk. (Each time we passed the front desk she was on her cell phone. ) The breakfast area could use a good cleaning. The lobby and, breakfast area, and hallways were HOT! The only plus to this establishmentis that the bed was comfortableand the a/c worked great in the room. Next time I pass thru Columbus I will definitely find another place to stay.

Room was clean however we were awaken by our smoke detector going off and our room was full of smoke called front desk and they did nothing. We cleared the room of smoke and checked all outlets unplugged everything and about an hour later we were awaken by a smoke filled room again this time to alarm. Called front desk he said what you want me to do about it. Told him to come check then he verified room was smoky. Smelled like ac unit and burnt wiring. When we checked out the morning guy said night shift never reported it. Both my husband and I have been treated for smoke inhalation and I developed pneumonia from it. Costly dr bill with breathing treatment 4 kinds of meds and several Drs spot and missed work. I called a week later and personnel knows nothing about this. Kinda a shame will not ever stay there.

Very nice. Clean room and good breakfast.

Quite room for four. Clean bathroom, shower, and plenty of towels. Good coffee and breakfast in the morning. Smiles all around!

-internet is slow, and cuts out constantly, hard to even check email -breakfast is not good -equipment in weight room is broken -metal building, no cell phone reception inside, have to hold your phone to the window to get signal -facility is in poor condition.

Do yourself a favor and pass this place up. They will change the price of the room on you when you arrive. They will not honor reservations for a specific room. They bumped both of my parties to a smaller room but did not adjust the price claiming that we got "the internet price". Very awkward to get in and out of the place and weird parking arrangement. The franchise name changes on this place every couple of years… I guess from the complaints. You have been warned.

Don't recommend this hotel at all! The clerk gave me the full price of a room and said that included the AARP however, when checking on line I could see the discount was not given. The manager was not helpful. We later saw her in with her legs slung over the lobby couch reading — not very professional. Also there was dried blood or dirt on the arm chair, there were pennies on the floor from a previous occupant so I have to assume that the room was not cleaned properly. The corners in the bathroom looked as if they had not been cleaned as well. The oval shaped shower curtain was put on in reverse so that the shower could only be closed partway and water spilled onto the floor so we had to use the limited number of towels we had. Also when we came to breakfast the eggs were dry and there was only a couple pieces of bacon and no one in sight. On this last trip we stayed in eight Comfort Inn's and were happy with all of them except this on and it was the most expensive and had the worst accommodations. I would give a zero as well if I could. It would also not allow me to give it a review on the Choice Hotel site.
