Bad quality hotel, except to pay an additional $15 per night for parking. Beds are hard and springy. An un pleasant odor lingers in the room and hallways. Barley clean, bathroom less then standard. Paid for 3 people… only 1 set of towels. The staff was nice enough though!

I am typing this as I wait in the hallway! Check out is at 11am and apparently they deactivate the key cards to the room at 10:20am. I go downstairs to find out why I cannot enter only to be told that the cards are deactivated at 10:30… I look at my watch it’s 10:25am. She then says since the room is under my wife’s name I cannot receive a key without her and her ID. (wife is waiting with bags at room on 4th floor) THIS WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Not to mention the sheets on the bed were filthy and when we requested new clean sheets, we still received dirty sheets! NEVER AGAIN! I’ll spend more money next time.

It looked all good setting our dates online, and we haven't had many problems at other Red Roof hotels we have stayed at. However this one was different. Right off the bat it wasn't a good experience. We stood in line fore 30mins waiting to be checked in. I thought it was the other other guests but once it was my turn I realized it was the people behind the desk. I gave them everything they needed to check me in, and then I stood there as they "checked me in". But it took far too long! And all was good… Until they told me about parking, with is 15$ per night, and they said nothing about this when I made the reservation. (On that thought, they also charge an extra fee for the safe in the bedrooms that isn't included or mentioned, but at least that's only 1.50$ per night). But I paid all the extra stuff and parked my car and headed to my room, where I noticed a sign in the swinging elevator that read, "The water will be shut off from 11pm to 5am. " They gave us absolutely No warning other than this sign in the elevator… Thanks Red Roof… At least the pool was ok.

Currently staying here. It has been the worst experience of a hotel I’ve stayed at (for the price). They attempt to charge for parking. They charge for an safe in the room (which I don’t need or didn’t ask for). There isn’t even a mini fridge. No gym at all (I wasn’t looking for a full weight room, but would think a treadmill or something would be attempted). Absolutely no breakfast options. This place has a lot of “hiden” fees. They don’t even try to hide they just tack on when you get here. They let you know they want your dollar more than you. Homeless people surround the hotel. I asked to see a room before booking and I was refused. I can now see why. The rooms are much smaller than the photos appear. The key cards rarely work. The dead bolt on my room “440” is broken. Over all my room cost more than $200 more than what my on line “confirmation” was. Although the staff attempted to be nice they had a real “my way or the highway” attitude. We only stayed because here for location as a must (my wife is in the military and has training class that runs through all of next week). A large chunk of the first floor is water damaged and mildew odor fills the floor. Terrible experience. Absolutely terrible. A week here shouldn’t cost anyone more than $200 yet alone the nearly $800 I was forced to pay when my online confirmation was around $550.

The hotel is near many points of interest, but it does require walking some distance. I booked it because it was near the convention center. Parking costs $15/day, there is also a charge for the safe in the room. Just deceptive ways to increase the cost of the room. Park in the lot next door for $5/day if you do not need in/out parking.

Place is sketchy and the service is horrible. No seriously horrendous. Staff is rude and rooms are very dirty. Like seriously dirty. I’m no germs phoebe but I wanted to vomit. Be aware that place has no parking. You will be charged to utilize their parking. Seriously avoid this place.

Nice room. But had to throw my own trash away. Beds were not made. And didnt have any soap shampoo or conditioner. And no clean towels.

Terrible experience. I reserved a room online well in advance and when we get to the hotel the front desk girl named Jasmine said our room wasn’t clean yet and it would be a 10 minute wait. After 10 minutes we ask about our room and she doesn’t tell us anything, she gets on the phone walks to the back and whispers on the phone with someone. We then find out our room still isn’t clean and she’s going to put us in another room. Then that room isn’t ready so we have to wait even longer. Then we find out that parking is an additional $15. What? I have to pay to park at the hotel I already paid for? So our $60 hotel turns into a $93 hotel room we had to wait an hour for and that smells. My suggestion is to have more people working the hotel that are properly trained, don’t advertise an available room that apparently was not, and don’t charge customers extra to park in your only available parking area.

This is a good budget hotel. The room was comfortable enough. They offer soft and firm pillows, but neither were amazing. The lighting was dim throughout the room and the bathroom felt like a dark box. I wouldn't call it luxury, but it was clean and had everything we needed. They have free coffee and tea in the lobby. It is across the freeway from the Alamo and River Walk, so it's an easy walk.

I got here early and was able to get in received good welcome place was fiesta decorated very colorfully everyone happy room nice and clean break room had free coffee and they have vending machines that also have food. I know 5 stars but that's how I felt, special. Would definitely come back they are always cleaning. Loved it here.

It's close to downtown and the showers are hot. That's about all the good I can say. They say in their advertising they have free breakfast, but they don't. The eggs and bedspread are dirty. The maid did not vacuum or pick up the dirty coffee cups in our room. And they have the nerve to leave and envelope asking for a tip.

Room was decent, NO amenities, but the absolute WORST PART IS THE STAFF! I work in hospitality/fine dining and we were treated like street people! During Spring Break/March Madness. Paid for 2 days and on day 2, the staff literally tried to throw us out saying they could not locate the PREPAID reservation! I was more than upset to say the least. I had a copy of both the itinerary and receipt. Somehow that was still not enough. Ultimately, I'm assuming they did locate it, because the harassment ceased. No one ever did apologize or say ANYTHING FURTHER. Do not waste your time with these folks. Awful.

Excellent hotel in downtown San Antonio Tx. If you go to events at the Alamo Dome you can walk there.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Oh my gosh they have the BEST showers! The water is HOT the shower head had great water pressure. We actually are going to go try find one for the apartment. Our room was Clean and the beds were supper comfortable. There was a lot of towels and I really liked that. I also like the fact I can grab coffee even after breakfast. The bar of soap STANK! I washed with the shampoo and it smelled good. Front Desk was sooo helpful. I forgot my hair ties and they gave me a rubber band. I also had two blisters from dancing and they gave me some bandaids. Thanks red roof for a great stay in San Antonio! Wonderful staff! It is a nice, clean Hotel. The couple in the other room love their bed… I thought it was a little uncomfortable. It was okay to sleep on though and it was only 5 minutes from the Riverwalk. Wonderful value!

Beds were full, not queen as discussed on phone. Very uncomfortable. No hot water. Website advertises free breakfast, there is not any breakfast available. There is not a mini fridge, as discussed on the phone. Maids do not make beds or take out trash daily. My son caught a stomach virus, the hotel did not have any cleaning supplies for us to use when he threw up on the floor. We left at 3:00 am since they did not have anything for us to clean up vomit. I will never stay at a red roof inn again.

There was No breakfast. The hot water didn't work one night. And the food they had in the machines was disgusting.

You know, it's the little things like pretty good coffee available at all times. I liked the clean layout with firm and soft pillows based on preference. The parking was only $10 a day, which for downtown San Antonio is very nice! But it's also the little things like a brisk cold shower to start my day. Not being able to fall asleep because the walls are paper-thin and every argument/thump/average conversation in relative proximity might has well happen in my room. Placing the entertainment center that is built into the wall over the only plug-in on said wall so that you have to pull the drawers out to access said plug-in. This is an issue because some people like to bring gaming systems to play while on business or vacation. While far from the worst hotel experience, Red Roof is far from the best. It's pretty cheap in price, so I guess I got what I paid for.

Other than my meeting being cancelled it was a great hotel. Very helpful staff members, went beyond their duties to help me out and ask if I was ok because I was outside on the phone in a family emergency. The security checked on me frequently. The hotel was clean, easy to locate, near downtown, near tourist attractions etc.

It's all very. Clean and calm. It is very short distance from the Convention center.

Excellent location, close to the River Walk, very nice hotel and friendly staff, the only thing is that it does not include breakfast.

Priced right at a great location. Accommodations were nice. Beware of parking fee and not having a refrigerator or microwave. Overall pleasant and friendly staff. Would stay again.

Clean, Central, good prices except for the parking is extra. But it saves you battling for parking.

The other hotels I have gone from Red Roof look good to me, but the one in downtown San Antonio was ugly, dirty bathroom and the bed full of hair and add to that there was no way to Bańarse because the tub was clogged.
My worst vacation night at that hotel.

Rooms were not bad, (considering the rate I got) they could have provided more soap and towels. Overall they were decent, they are also located in a great spot, not far from Riverwalk area. If you're not able to book at Riverwalk or are trying save some money I would recommend this hotel.

Rooms were adequate, nothing fancy but the beds are comfortable. The "hard wood" flooring doesn't look or feel great. It's super convenient to Riverwalk and the venue I was performing at so that's a plus. The young man, Michael, who was working the night shift was incredibly nice, so kudos to him!

We arrived late. This was our fault. They placed us on the 1st floor in a wheelchair accessible room. I wish they could have notified us first as there is only a tile floor thus I need to go buy shower shoes. The real comedy of errors began at about 6 a. M. When the competing high school band students all chose to take the stairs back up to their rooms and the stairwell door SLAMMED shut, Over and over for 2 hours non stop! When I took a video of the door slamming and showed it to the front desk clerk, she was already aware of the issue, so they know about the problem, yet don't bother repairing it. She promised that maintenance would work on it today. If they do or do not, I will follow up! She also told me since I booked through Expedia, she couldn't move us to a different room. Which means they don't care about guests that don't book directly through them. My wife booked this visit in September, so they have had our money for two months and still treat us like dirt. We will probably be in San Antonio again in two years for my younger son's marching competition. If we do return, it won't be at the red roof! I will let every parent in our district know about this visit. Also, there was a deep gash in the wall we found upon arrival. It is time posted on my phone. I will notify them of this and see if they even know or already know and haven't bothered to repair this as well. I wish I could post the video of the stairwell door slamming to my review.

Good stay for the price. One small item left in room was not recovered, otherwise five stars. The staff was helpful, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable, despite the nearby freeway. If you have the inclination, Red Roof is within walking distance of the Riverwalk and all it has to offer.

The hotel is close to the city centre. The room was two double beds, and very clean.

You pay for what you get. The beds were comfortable so we had a nice sleep. The hotel is right near an overpass but couldn’t hear it at night. Shower was leaky. Staff was friendly and you can easily walk to the riverwalk from the hotel. It took us about 15 minutes. Parking costs $15 per night at the hotel but it’s in a garage so your car is safe.

So I put 1 star because it wasn't worth the money. There are no Mirocwaves or refrigerators in the room, We had to pay $15 per car per night, and a little bit over a $100 for a standard double bed room. This hotel use to serve breakfast but not anymore. I thought they would, since they charged us so much. If you have a little over $100 to spend on a hotel, DO NOT SPEND IT HERE! You can find a much better hotel with that kind of money. The room also smelled really bad and the sheets were stained. Never coming here again.

Walking distance to River Walk & Convention Center. Fair value, very basic, could use heavy duty cleaning. Staff helpful, but not very friendly. Certainty didn't look they were happy being there. I've stayed at other Red Roofs and had a much better experience.

I think it is well located the hotel. But I didn't like the room we got, the water in the tub didn't come down and the scenery out the window was ugly. We were told that it had been, because we booked booking, asked to be moved from room and paid the difference and we were not allowed to, you hear everything going on in the hallways, it's horrible. I do not recommend.

I thought the rooms were a bit pricey for what you got. And the room was hot! It took hours for it to cool off! It was 106° here today not counting the heat index and the air conditioner was not on in the room. I thought that was ridiculous considering I pre-booked the room. It's not like there was anywhere else to get cool. The lobby was hot as well. They also hit you with a $15 per car parking fee at check-in. I'm mean, really? They charge you to park your damn car after your rented a room from them? I've stayed at plenty of hotels I've never been charged a parking fee, and I wasn't the only one upset about that, another woman said the same as well.

Check in was fast, but unfortunately we had one incident after another. First off they charge to use the safe… ours did not work, maintenance was sent down to fix it. Great. We were out all day, get back to the room and found our safe open. Reported to front desk. Nothing much was done As we didn't notice anything was missing. Later that night realized my hairbrush was missing. In the morning found that my son's medication was taken out the safe. His meds are $300 a pop. Reported to Management (Rob Lindsay) who didn't seem to care much. Yes, I understand there are processes, but show a bit of compassion. We had two rooms rented… our room was not cleaned, second room was cleaned everyday. Hairbrush stolen from the second room as well.

Excellent location. Late check-in time, 4pm and early departure time for a tourist place 11am. Clean rooms.

Low priced hotel so you get what is expected. The people are super nice, but the hotel itself needs some work. My door didn't work all the time and my bathroom faucet flowed for three straight days. But the room suited it's purpose. Close to the convention center, which was handy.

Horrible, the bathroom dirty, the room smelled like soaked, the mattresses expired, they don't put water to drink, the carpet smelled bad and in the evening when we arrived the people who were on the counter did not respond good night. I didn't like it or recommend it.

Dislike that you have to pay for parking, and doesnt have breakfast wich isnt good but king room is nice looks just like pictures, room was clean, staff isnt so friendly but its fine as long as my room was clean was all that matters plus its a great walking distance from the riverwalk too.

Read carefully. The staff is very rude and mean. They have zero class. I was surpised with parking fees and I asked "can I still cancel it" without even explaining whatsoever, the lady said it is canceled. That is it. And now im at the discretion of the manager whether or not he will give me a refund. Please please stay away at all cost. You deserve better treatment elsewhere.

NOOOOOOOO go someplace else anywhere else. In town for work and my van was broken into, very rude about the situation and when I asked how to view security footage was told I needed a court order from a judge. Had a double bed even though I was alone they only left me one Towel NO just one towel a hand towel at that key never worked had to replace every day. Here's the kicker I was asked to leave because "I was needy" towels and a working key I think every guest in the hotel would like those two. Seriously sleep in your vehicle before staying here.

Great location to the riverwalk and mall. No breakfast which is what other websites said they had. The rooms were clean and organized. Overall liked the place.

I'd give the Red Roof INN and it's corporate partners a ZERO if I could. I was robbed and assaulted in the lobby of the Red Roof INN, and they would not refund the night I had to stay there. It was spring break week and I could not find another hotel in San Antonio TX for under $450 a night. Can't afford that. So I was forced to stay there and left the next morning. I didn't sleep that night and left for home the next morning. You would think the hotel would comp my room, but the didn't. In fact they charged me more for leaving early. I would stay away from the Red Roof Inn entirely. Find another place where your family can be safe.

As soon as we walked in, there was a line and they still were going very slow. They're so expensive, yet didn't have breakfast and the vending machines is $2.50 for a water. Which 4 didn't even have any in it. Then the other 2 was debit cards only. No shuttle to airports. Barely any towels to replace dirty ones, they had said "they were low". The people checking us in were rude. Parking was $15. No TV guide in the room, or phone numbers for businesses around here. Didn't even have a no disturbance sign.

Stayed for a night. No breakfast even though numerous websites said there was. Now when I was checked out and on the road, I remembered I had left a pair of nikes in the room. When I called, they said lost and found was closed and to try again tomorrow. As I was telling the front desk that I live in another city, she couldn't care less. As I called in the morning following, I was on a 15 minute hold and had to hang up. I called hours later and I was finally patched to the manager and she said no one turned in anything. Now I know for a fact I left them there so someone must have took them. Besides from the location which is an easy walk to the Riverwalk, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Took an hour to check in they tok their time to check everyone in. They could have used the other computers but decided not to. Even when I finally got to the front desk the lady was rude to the man behind me who only had a question. She interrupted him and said ill check you in, in a moment, he said he was already checked in he just wanted to ask a question she again interrupted mid sentence and told him said shell be wth him. The manager also canceled a reservation on a guest because they also received terrible customer service. The manager just got mad and said yelled just cancel their reservations and walked to the back which was unprofessional way of handling the situation. I was also given the wrong room number twice. Then I was charged for parking permit which I asked is this the only parking then she said yes infront and the garage is where you wil be allowed to park. I understand the lot got full and there was nothing that can be done because of that but it was not fair we had to pay. The man at the desk at the night was a smart ass he was an older man with white hair. Very unhelpful. Only one who was great there were a maintenance lady with a buzzcut. A lady I believ her name was LaToay was sincere and tried to be helpful as possible but her manager was just unprofessional. And a man at the front desk named Jesse was helpful. Only real customer service that was recieved. The Room was nice and everything. But it was not all worth the stay.

It started with being on time to check in. I was told it was be about a half hour to an hour longer before check in. I went to look around San Antonio in the mean time. Terrified. I waited in my car until check in. Then we get to our room and we have no towels. We ask to have towels brought to our rooms. We leave to do some business and we get back about 4 hours later in the evening and still no towels. I call and ask about my towels and they bring me fresh ones straight from the dryer. Cardboard like towels. We order food and it takes about an hour and a half which we originally only wanted the DRP to mix with vodka but the delivery limit was $15. Half way through our meal we mute the third resident evil movie and hear the neighboring tenants making the loud explicit sounds of love making. (we think he got to come on her face) 10/10 would recommend to friend.

I worked here for a week and some days as housekeeper it was fun at first but when it came to pay day my check was not even sent to my card and I did not get paid the day promise. Something with tech problems which it could be true but I don't think so but I could not do this job per the manager which is a lady she told me I had to finish the room in 23 mins. I was also taking the dirty lien out and cleaning from top to bottom which I do not think the rooms are very clean if you just have 23 mins to do so. Very upset due to I did not get my money when promise meaning who ever did payroll did not make sure we were going to get paid for that day. And out of the blue she not was not going to be back until Sunday I have no note of my hours nor my pay if you plan to work here well think again you will not get paid on time and housekeeper work very hard very poor work ethics on there part. Note there is not breakfast anymore for the guest so there you go.

Nice close to river walk, include desalluno and I tell them the truth if I'm going to stay in san Antonio I want to go back to this hotel good service very clean, I recommend it widely.

Close to the river walk but not worth getting your car broken into, rite in front of the hotel with car alarm and there people just watched. Checkin was really slow air conditioning didn't work well. All and all not worth the money.

In general good service but the rooms are a bit neglected.

The staff has a bad attitude. If they don't like their job get a new one. Parking is $15 no matter where you park. Website does not say that. Breakfast consist of an apple, coffee, piece of bread and oatmeal. No hot water, no milk and a grumpy lady working the breakfast room. The room was dirty found dental floss still on the floor and the sheets had stains.

Overall, a bad value for the money. The receptionist, LaToya, was professional and seemed genuine. Her supervisor, Maribel, lacked professionalism and seemed disingenuous. Upon entering the room there was only one towel in the small, plain bathroom. To be fair, LaToya, answered our call to reception and arrived with two sets of towels within 5 minutes. The bathroom does not have proper ventilation. There is a $15.00 per day charge for parking. The location is close to downtown and within walking distance of the major sites. Do yourself a favor: spend a little more money and stay somewhere else. You will be glad you did.

This is the worst hotel iv ever stayed in! First of all the website fails to inform you that you have to pay 15$ a night to park in the hotel parking lot. 2nd they have the worst employees ever. I got a room on the 5th floor and was very upset it smelled like armpits and the towels had hair on them. They moved me to the first floor because the first one was no good. The second room the bath tub was clogged up and the toilet keep making loud noise every 5 mins and to top it off it still smelled like armpits! When it came time to check out we had accidentally left something in the first room, so I tell the lady at the front desk. She said sorry but there's no way I can get you your stuff because the manager is not working today… I asked her if she can please call her manager over the phone and refused. I asked her 2 more times. I finally get my stuff. But it was ridiculously how they couldn't just call the manager in the first place. Wi-Fi did not work for the most part of my stay. Hate it hate it!

It is a place not recommended for people who want to rest, the noise starts at 7 am on weekends and 5 am in a week. Horrible experience!
